Have been here many times. This is an update to my 4 star review of before. Several visits ago I found a piece of plastic in my food here. The woman tried to say it was a piece of the fajita. It was clearly a piece of plastic. They did not charge me for that order and was very nice about it. So I said mistakes happen no big deal. The prices were good so they still got my four stars. Went here about a month ago and they had changed the prices for the same just OK food. You would think if you want to charge more you would give more! At those new prices and same just OK food I wont be back. We were a party of six too! Never again. I am about helping local owned business if they a worthy!

Fajitas were $20 for a single plate.Took my Grandkids in and Daughter in law and spent $100 for mostly childs plates. They went up on fajita prices apparently. Two single orders of fajitas were half the ticket.I wont be going back. After spending $100 with my card I struggled to find 25 cents for one little gum and the cashier reluctantly finally set the gum on the counter. Just wow!! We couldnt afford to tip the server because the food was overpriced.

If you have a chance to visit this family owned restaurant youll really enjoy the atmosphere, very simple. My server was Daniel, and after being in the service industry for years, I can tell you he is in my top 5 of all time. This guy doesnt miss on anything. He has the best timing without being over bearing. Super courteous. Ill always request his section. True service with a smile with this guy. Oh, and dont forget to try the Toastada Loca, OMG!

Ill give fancy for tasty at anytime. Saying that, this this is a simple looking place but it serves great tasting food. Good prices. Lunch and happy hour specials. Good customer service. Family/kid friendly. I believe on Tuesday evenings they have karaoke. The beef fajitas are recommended!

Food is pretty average if not bland. Ordered 3 different entrees and wasnt impressed with any of them. The queso was pretty meh as well and more of the liquid texture than a typical dip with a little thickness to the texture for the scoop. Also ordered the cheesecake burrito. You might as well just pick up a slice of cheesecake from somewhere else for the cost. Just not that great. Good pricing but that is pretty much it in my opinion.

Have been here several times and tried different plates of food, there is consistency and the food is very good, but it is missing something, the salsa should be a bit tasty , but it just doesnt have that flavor that distinguishes this restaurant from others, as well as the rice and beans taste a bit on the bland side.

We went to eat there on Saturday. we orders a kids enchil, chicken enchiladas, and a carne asada. The food was decent, except for the carne asada. It has a foul smell to it. We tasted the meat and it was nasty. The waitress took along time to come back, it when she came to check on us. We told her the meat was bad. She responded with, we been selling it like that all day . She did take the meat back to the kitchen. I thought they were gonna take it off the check, but they didn t. It was our first time trying the place, but we won t go back.

If I could give this review a zero I would I first had went in and everything was oo they gave me a taco salad the meat was horrible so I asked to give it back and they told me that they cant take it back unless there is something wrong with it mind you before I sat down I asked what their return policy on food she said you are able to return food. So I sat down then after the waitress tells me to my face that she is not gonna charge me for that salad so I get something else come check out time when I tell the same waitress that she charged me for the salad she said that I would be able to take it off at the front Im talking to the lady at the front they say they cant do that so I ask to speak to a manager they say there not there so they are trying to charge me 50 dollars for Im on a college fixed income so I knew how much I could go there and spend and so I ask to speak to the owner she looks at me and tell her employee that she wont talk to me and that I either pay or she call the cops they are horrible and deserve to be put out of business.

My experience there with the Menudo plate was not good. I didnt find the belly, which was often pure belly skin. When I chewed it, it was like gabazo gum, I had to get it out of my mouth and no, I didnt eat anything. I think whoever makes the Menudo there doesnt do it well... excuse my opinion.

I got the number eight tacos with beans and rice. There was absolutely no flavor to the beef. The rice was dry and bland with no spice to it. The beans were the only thing that had any semblance of flavor to them and even then it was like a overheated patty on the plate. On the border is horrible, comma, and they make better food than this place. Period. Dont get me started on how empty the water down hot sauce was.

Where can I start... So my husband ordered a burrito. (2nd time being here.. because our family members wanted to go here, gave them 2nd try! Failed miserably!!) Waiter at no point specified breakfast burrito (went at 10am) or regular burrito.. we do not work there. Waiter brings a taco... claimed that taco size order was a burrito to which we compared to breakfast taco...same exact size. It was not until another waitress came and explained that there was a bigger burrito..cant remember name. I had huevos rancheros...come on now, who can mess up on taste on something so simple. 1st and LAST TIME EVER comming here. 5 different staff came to our table so never had a waiter really. Waited forever to get order taken that we went through a basket of chips by then ( which was ONLY good thing ). Come to take order finally and waiter literally knows nothing about menu or how to answer anything on it. We order and after waiting a week my food tasted horrible, couldnt eat any of it. They switched my enchiladas and the new ones were more greasy than tacos from Jack. To end this ordeal they mess up the bill, never coming back.

Let me just start by saying I eat out 5 nights a week, if not more, because Im retired from cooking. I ordered a top shelf Margarita, chicken nachos, and beef fajitas. The fajitas were dry and over cooked. When I asked them to be remade, they took them back to the kitchen, reheated the same meat and brought it back. When I said something to the lady, she said yes you eat! and walked off. My server then told me that the lady was refusing to remake my fajitas. When I told my waitress that I was not paying for something I did not eat, they refused to take the fajitas of my bill and I had to call the police to the restaurant. Needless to say the fajitas got removed and I was told not to return. AS IF I would every patronage a business that treat customers this way! The food was already mediocre at best and the service made this place terrible! 0 stars!!

This is our go-to place to eat Tex-Mex food! Our waiter, Daniel Danny, is very attentive in what we want to order. This is one of our favorite places to go in Cedar Hill! They have decent food, great prices, and even better service. The loco breakfast burrito is, by far, the best item on the menu. The green salsa is on point but you will need to request this if you like your salsa on the spicy side. Everyone here is friendly and speaks Spanish. BUG IN TAMALES!!!!! I work in the same shopping center and one of our patients had given us a gift card to this restaurant. The staff decided to get 6 dozen of Tamales to split amongst ourselves and take home for the weekend. Honestly, the first thing I noticed about the tamales were presentation. After unwrapping the Saran Wrap, I noticed lots of grease coming from the tamale wrappings and also the tamale filling(pork/chicken) were coming out of the wrapping. Normally, when I purchase tamales, even from individuals who makes them in their homes and sale them independently, they are wrapped very nicely, tamales are usually same size and presentation just looks really nice. Not greasy and or thrown together. These came from an actual restaurant. I expected better. the presentation immediately turned me off and ruined my appetite. But I thought, ok stop judging and just try it. I cut up some Queso Fresco, put a little sour cream and decided to try it out. Took a couple of bites and as used my fork to cut into the next piece, I clearly saw something black sticking out the inside of the tamale where the pork was. I looked closely and dug it out of the mixture to get a better look and it was a weird looking insect. A BUG! I will be posting the pic with this review. I was disgusted!!! I immediately took the pic and forwarded to all my co workers informing them so they could be aware and cautious as we all took a dozen home. I know things happen but all it takes is once for me. I will no longer eat there as I will always feel a sense of uncleanliness or idk .just feel like I can t trust the food anymore

This place was horrible... The taco meat was pink and cold. My fajita meat had no taste. The cheese in the enchiladas were hard. The sweet tea tasted like it was made with toilet water. Got half my order refunded. My kids liked the Frys thats about it. Dont go here.

Highly disappointed wont be back. After waiting for a very long time, our food came out. The cheese enchilada was disgusting. The cheese was so chewy and flat, the tortilla even came off of it. The thing that stopped me from eating completely was the fact my taco meat inside my taco was pink and cold. I thought it looked funny when it was brought to the table so I took it all out of the shell and it was pink. Couldnt take another bite of food.

Very good. We were seated and were taken care of at the right pace. Food was plentiful and delicious. The price was great too! I havent seen my husband so full in a long time. Staff was very friendly too. The only thing is, and I know this may sound unique or maybe its my preference, but the overwhelming smell of cleaning products interfered a little bit with my senses as I was eating. No big deal, maybe there was a recent issue that needed more attention before we got there. We will be back for sure!!!

Wonderful food and fast service. I eat here once a week. The tamales with chili sauce are full of meat and delicious! Carne Asada comes piping hot, tender, seasoned just right with char grilled onions on top.

Came to eat with my best friend yesterday. Daniel was our server. He was truely amazing ! I come from being in the food industry for 10 years and it s rare to find servers this happy and delightful. He truely made our day . Everything was perfect ! I rarely leave reviews but he definitely deserves one .

Overcharged us (2 people) by $4. Brought to their attention and was told the menu had not been updated but their system they used to ring it up had the newer higher price. It was not worth making a scene over but will not be going back. If you go you might want to check and see what your paying for.

I was really hoping to love this place. I was really impressed by their Customer service, it was great! However, that is all I can say. We ordered the fajitas and the carne asada plate and some margaritas. We were truly disappointed that the food lacked flavor and the frozen margaritas reminded me of a flavor slushie drink.
