This is a nice facility but unfortunately management is horrible, there is no communication between staff and I was always being told different things by different employees. When I tried to speak with the Manager Lauren she was extremely dismissive and rude. We are now enrolled at Aqua Tots which has been SO much better.

They don t answer the phone and overcharge you. I got charged for a class my daughter is not enrolled in anymore. Updated in March 2024 Kathy from the front desk was very helpful and resolved my billing issues. I am grateful and impressed that the school understood my concerns and addressed them adequately.

Goldfish is a great swim school. My daughter loves going to her lessons. The instructors are very attentive and encouraging with their feedback. The front desk staff are friendly and always helpful. They also have an app that s great to manage your classes, and the flexibility to use makeup classes if you have to reschedule is a plus. They always have a coloring activity for the kids to do in the waiting area before class. Would definitely recommend!

The kids are encouraged constantly. The coaches are always happy and genuinely look like they re having a great time. The swim meet was tough, but every child felt they succeeded. I don t believe in all kids receiving blue ribbons but the meet was challenging and pushed those kids beyond what they probably thought they could do. They EARNED their placeless medals, and the kids that actually placed deserved the acknowledgment & praise they received. Very well done!

Not very flexible at all. Signed up my 10 month old up for classes about a month or two ago. Attended two of the classes during the time we originally signed up and realized that time didnt work for us. Now we signed a contract that requires a minimum of 30 days to cancel but there are no opening in classes that time works for us. Tried to schedule makeup classes and there are never any openings. Ridiculous I have to go out of my way to attend classes that I already paid for. Lessons are basically $30 a class but with very limited availability for make ups, will not roll over to next month unless you are a currently student (keep on playing the monthly fee), and isnt transferable to another children. Insane that an activity for children doesnt allow for more flexibility. Especially since it is so expensive. On top of that I can never get anyone when I call, I cant login to the portal half the time , and the app is useless. Next time I will just go to the rec where classes are $80 for 3 months.

This was our very first swimming lesson for my Glam baby. She wants to just jump into the water at home so I decided it was time she had lessons. My Glam baby was in Instructor Lindseys class she was Awesome with the kiddos in the 2year age group. My Glam baby didnt wanna leave the water after her 30 minute session was over. Lol Definitely glad she enjoyed the water now well start with the monthly lessons of $114. Its definitely worth it for all of us.

I had my two boys taking lessons for about 7-8 months at the facility. I chose this facility because it looks really clean. However, after many months of weekly lessons, the kids are not improving. They are doing the same routine every week. I notice some of the instructors are not friendly or enthusiastic when they are teaching the kids. Every few minutes, they look at a lesson paper and see what to teach next, very un-impressed with their level of competency. We decide to pull the kids out and find another method/school.

We love Goldfish! The staff were really friendly and great with kids. The space was spacious and inviting. Our kids enjoyed coming every week and love seeing all the new marketing themes from superheros to pirates and princesses. With each theme, they make it so fun with different masks and swag, plus motivation quotes on their bulletin board. Lessons were small, intimate and perfect size to give kids a little breathing break as they wait for their turn. The Goldfish app is a great addition to the lessons. You can view the kids progress report, lesson reminders and schedule makeups.

I would not recommend this swim school. I m not sure if it is their philosophy or if it is just this particular school. Since the instructors are young, there is a lot of inconsistency and my daughter rarely has had the same teacher. The primary issue with this is that they don t have a chance to get to know your kids or their skill level. This means your child often doesn t progress very fast because they may only spend a few mins on the things your child needs at the rest of the time repeating things that they have mastered. So, it could take 3 months to get something they could probably get in a couple of weeks. And at $120 per month, that slow progress becomes extremely expensive. The instructors are all nice, so this is not a knock on them. But, they need a better system of communicating skill level, given the lack of instructor consistency. As a parent, you could invest in a month of private lessons and your kids will probably be better swimmers then a year at goldfish. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one star is because I do think it is a good place for kids that may be scared of the water. But if you are trying to actually teach your kid to swim, this would not be the place I would recommend. My experience has only been with mini 1&2 but I would not go here if your kids are infants or toddlers. The curriculum doesn t scale as the kids get older and they seem to staff these younger classes with people who don t know the material. The instructors are not very engaged and are constantly looking back at instructions. Management does not seem to care and we will not be going back.

I can no longer recommend GFSS. I have been a customer for >3 years. Over the last 5 months, the service has sharply declined and the biggest issue is the instructor turn over. In the last 3 months, we have had at least 4 teachers and can barely get any progress reports as the teachers have no experience and have barely enough time to develop any relationship with the kids. Communication has been inconsistent and sometimes lacking altogether. The facility has been closed since June 29th - July 4th; however no communication was sent. While there is flexibility with cancellations and make-ups, there are no spots available to make up the missed sessions. The previous manager (Kagan) and his staff had the place in order. The turn over rate was low which led to great relationships between instructors and the kids. In its current state, GFSS is not worth your money, time, or energy. It is highly mismanaged, has inexperienced/mediocre instructors, and customer service is lacking. The golden experience no longer exists.

I would not recommend this swim school. They have very poor customer service. They also have horrible teachers. We ve been enrolled in the under 2 class for the past year now and all of the instructors don t know what they re doing. They barely talk loud enough for anyone in the group to hear. They don t provide any instructions. They provide no guidance and no one in our class learned anything. They also charged me for a whole extra month even though I cancelled our membership. Highly DONT RECOMMEND. Find any other swim school except this one. EDIT: No one ever reached out to me to make any kind of remedy. These are just false responses they make to reviewers on here.

Poor experience we have been here for 3 month , and decided to drop . My biggest issue is the staff turn over ..in 3 months we have like 5 (May be more) different trainer mostly 16-20 year old (with zero to no experience training ) and so no body knows the progress of the child because you get new coach every classes and that kind off is waste of time ,energy and money. I explained to him That my daughter has mild Cerebral Palsy and because of that they re are some tone issues, I did ask him what they happen to offer a one trial class just to see if it s a great fit. This guy blatantly asked me will the services be affordable, Will my budget allow me to pay for this, I have my daughter and granddaughter in a number of classes, this has by far has been the worst experience yet. I found Goldfish swim locally in Carrollton when I passed by the building that they are in. I was really appreciative of their online system to register and search for classes. I first want to say how good their outreach is. As soon as I signed up they started reaching out via text and email. I very much liked this as a busy mom it helped keep them top of mind and it made it convenient for me to get my boys class booked. I originally looked in April and they didn t have the class times I was looking for and the team @ Goldfish contacted me as soon as Sunday classes for may opened up and continued to remind me until we booked. Okay now for the classes themselves. We went to a similar swim school last year and stopped due to a negative experience my oldest son have. I immediately recognized when we walked in some better features of this swim school. It was a much more child friendly environment with an area with books and activities to keep little ones boys while we waited for class to start. My youngest was very scared and nervous when lessons began and I loved that the mini class had multiple teachers so they were able to give him down 1:1 attention. He cried a lot and they were so great with letting me come in and help calm him down. My oldest had a great experience especially considering the traumatic experience he had at the last swim school. The instructor was gentle, patient, and helped him to feel very comfortable by end of the class! After class I loved that they have little machines that you can put wet clothes in to drain excess water out of and blow dryers. Great little touches that definitely made the overall experience better. Thanks Goldfish Swim!

This place is highly mismanaged. No proper info provided and their teaching is not much helping as the trainers are mediocre. Looks like they dont want the kid to go to the next level. I tried to cancel their class and they charged me again saying I didnt fill a form. I was not told to fill the form when I asked to cancel the class at the front desk. The rude lady who answered the call could use some manners. Yet again the bad experience continues. They scheduled the last class and postponed telling it is Easter weekend. Showed up the week after and they said you dont have a spot snd should have taken the last class last week. They know how to not keep their words and upset customers. Very irresponsible bunch there

I love the smaller class sizes, the social distancing, the cleaning of the dressing rooms and the overall cleanliness of the building. Update 9/21: They have moved the lost & found closer to the front desk. They also replaced my son s swim trunks a few weeks later. 8/21: My son is very upset because we accidentally left his swim trunks and someone stole them. They should keep their lost & found behind the counter where people can t just walk off with stuff that isn t theirs.

Goldfish swim has been great for my son. The front office people are so helpful and nice . The instructors are all great, and the place is decorated so cute from top to bottom. The pool is heated so warm my son never complains about the temperature so when he sits on the side he s not freezing. They have blow dryers , swim suit dryers, showers and soap, all these things just makes taking him there so much more enjoyable and easy to transition from pool to where ever we need to go to next. Nothing, not even the winter weve had really slowed down the kids from wanting to come here. It is the perfect year round activity. The kids look forward every week. Aside from making sure the kids build good and safe habits for around the pool, they set progress goals which really helps my oldest have something to work for. Be careful if you do not have a pool at home, if you come here for lessons they are definitely going to want to practice in their free time!

Our 15 month old LOVES his swimming teachers and being in the pool. They are serious about safety and everyone is required to wear masks outside the pool. Teachers wear face shields. Our son has already learned how to hold his breath under water and is super comfortable. They do a great job and we look forward to it every weekend!

Had my sons 5th birthday party here and it was amazing! We walked in and everything was setup beautifully with sky blue table cloth, blue and green plates, napkins and forks. There were Honest juice boxes for all the kids, too. They had one TV playing Netflix and the other a birthday sign with my sons name. We had 1 hour and 20 minutes of pool time and it was a blast. The staff was attentive, they fitted kids in life jackets who didnt bring one from home, they gave out goggles for pool use, tons of pool toys, etc. The kids had so much fun they didnt want to leave the pool. The last 40 minutes was birthday celebration time. The cupcakes they served were amazing. Some families who attended asked if I made them myself. Gifts bags were also prepared and the staff helped add-in a few extra items we had purchased for them. It was just phenomenal. If youre looking for a birthday place for your child, look no further. You will leave with both you, your child and their friends feeling beyond satisfied. Thank you Goldfish Swim School!

Lately poor experience with management, I schedule my kids with particular instructors(skip his other paid school activities because limited availability for that instructor) when u walk in to class they change instructor without notifying you and it happen not just once but multiple times lately . I gave them 30day notice and advice not to go with them, that s what happen when they are new to public, promise everything and after enough kids enroll they don t care.

It was odd expirience . Me and my kids been attending classes and opend swims for month . Today, I came here by myself for open swim since they decided to sleep in . I was thrown out of the building because my kids was not with me. As I was explained that I am not allowed to be there without my kids . Its such inhumane treatment .
