Made a fried Turkey order well in ad advance. Confirmed pick up times and price. and 2 days prior Nate confirmed time again and price and to say now pick up was 5-6 then 3 pm. Again we were there around 12 again nothing was there mind you nasty grill smoker in unsanitary conditions plus very poor communication since order was placed. Do not recommend at all

I have been noticing them for months by Applebees on Frankford & Marsh, stopped by tonight. Got all 3 meats plate (ribs, sausage, & brisket) with beans & Mac & cheese, along with the fried catfish with potato salad. Everything is so good!! Husband & I think the catfish is a little weird tasting (might just be our tastebuds), but overall we are impressed with everything & will definitely be coming back!

His BBQ is second to none perfect smoke ring on the brisket, jerk chicken spiced just right, and ribs to die for.. I m craving Nate s smoked goodness now, at 11:52pm. I pulled over just to see what was cooking. I ended up getting the brisket potato. It was hot and loaded with brisket which was exceptionally tender. I liked the BBQ sauce on top of the meat. His prices are fair and reasonable. I look forward to trying more things he has to offer when hes located off Frankford and Marsh.

Oh my goodness... rib tips, brisket and sausage....ALL DELICIOUS. The brisket is moist (yall, dont get lean...silly silly, its brisket, get it moist) the rib tips had fantastic flavor, I just love all the work of them. The sausage is also super tasty!! You can smell that it is going to be good when you pull in--whatever wood he is using, smells perfect with the smell of the meat. Side dishes.... There is brisket in the beans, the mac and cheese is super delicious!!! Im not wild about potato salad in general, but this was cold and fresh. The fact that he has been less than a mile from my house lately, is dangerous...cuz his stuff is truly delicious. He has a well oiled machine going on there. Plus he plays good music while you wait. Having Nate so close....well, I will be spending less time at other BBQ joints in town. He became my local favorite overnight.

For me, the brisket left a little to be desired. I wouldve like a little more smoke flavor with it and a touch more seasoning outside of salt and pepper. However, these were some of the best ribs I have had to this day. Ive eaten bbq in all the famous places in KC, Memphis and St. Louis and Nates ribs easily compete with the big dogs. Not to mention the greens and beans are some killer side dishes. Definitely going back.

Been waiting to post this review for some time! I tried Nates bbq at a pop up shop last fall and had the best beef rib Ive ever had. I have been craving this bbq ever since. I was so glad to see he has a mobile app now and shares his locations!! I live in Irving and drove to Carrollton just for bbq (So worth it!). Today I got the brisket, Mac and beans and it was sooo good! Ultimate comfort food right here! The macaroni is EVERYTHING, the beans are so tasty they even have brisket in them, the brisket is soooo tender and flavorful! I ordered my bbq sauce on the side and really didnt even need it, although it was amazing too!!! Staff was nice and friendly and thanked me for coming out. I love supporting small businesses! If you are looking for good bbq I highly recommend Nates BBQ To-Go.

Ordered two meats and two sides. Its smoked with oak so it has that bitter bite associated with Oak and the meat flavoring isnt pleasant as it would be with Hickory, Pecan, etc. The rub is heavily whole grain peppery, not appealing to me personally. The sausage when I ordered it had been cooked/heated for too long because the casing was hard to the bite and the actual sausage was mushy, associated with overcooking a meat. The Mac and cheese was dry and served like a casserole as opppsed to actual shells in cheese sauce. The beans however, had a good flavor to them. Myself and my spouse both felt the same about the food, and unfortunately we wont be going back despite the pop up convenience. The guy himself is friendly but unfortunately the food isnt to par with our expectation of true BBQ. Im glad to see a small business like this thriving during COVID, so hes gotta be doing something right.

UMMMM....Tried Nates at the corner of Marsh Ln and Frankfor. I got the turkey leg- Wait let me put some respect on it- THE TURKEY LEG. It is delicious; smoked to perfection. You know a turkey leg is smoked right, when it tastes like ham. I will be back for sure.

I have had outstanding BBQ from Nates and I have had not so good. I have come to get BBQ and they are closed when they show open online. I have had tender ribs and very tough ribs. There is an inconsistence there that has kept me away lately and I never know when they are open. I hope they get it locked down he has the flavor but......

I went in yesterday my second time here there was new faces the young man who took my order was nice and curteous but the guy that was cutting the meat needs customer service improvement....this time the food wasnt God the rbs tasted baked I spent close to 50 bucks for a slab and 1/2 nd of brisket I got 3small slices and some crumbs Im sure that wasnt a 1/2 pnd a small baked beans and a small Mac & cheese and trust me it was SMALL

I knew when I pulled into the parking lot and the smoke was wafting out of the open fire smoker/grill that I had made the right decision to try this place. It is strictly a to- go operation with no frills. The meats are incredible. We got brisket, ribs and a whole chicken. The chicken was HUGE with one of the best char on the skin that I have ever tasted. Ribs were perfect and the brisket tasted as it should. I got extra bbq sauce and am glad I did. Though none of the meat needed it we slathered it on because out was so good. Couple of things though I think they need to be aware of though. The brisket was from the moist end. It was sliced with the grain making it as bit chewy. I wish they had coleslaw not to say that the beans and potato salad werent good. They were. I cant wait to go back to try the rest of the menu.

The Brisket wasnt tender, but my sausage was good, the potato salad was good, the baked beans were good but a little too spicy, I used door dash and wasnt sure where the mishap came in but I ordered the 2 meat plate which gave the options of a Coke, Diet Coke, or Sprite. I choose a Sprite but asked in the comments if it could be substituted for a sweet tea. Well once I received my order I got a bottle of water. No plastic ware. Also Im not sure if its custom for Nates BBQ to give Texas toast or some type of bread but I was lacking bread. Dont rush to cut corners if you want to keep customers... IJS The small things matter.

The story of the owner is courageous. Just knowing how far he has come makes me happy to support. His story is hung up on tge wall in the restaurant. Read it if you have time. Plus the food is pretty good. The Mac and cheese is one of the best Ive tried from a BBQ place here in Texas. The meat is flavorful but is a hit and miss for me. I went late in the day once and the meat (ribs and Brisket) was tender falling of the bone. The second time I went it was around lunch and the meat (ribs) was tough and chewy. I couldnt finish my ribs. However, the flavors are there that Im willing to try it a 3rd time. Theres nothing worse then a tender meat with no flavor.

Nate, you brilliant, beautiful man... your smoked meat has changed our lives. The other day, we drove by thinking you closed at 9 and things looked pretty dark around 8:30 or so... my husband and I had a moment of panic, thinking you had closed for good. But no... youre still there, making amazing Texas barbecue, tempting us with your macaroni and cheese and sweet-savory baked beans. Our favorites include the brisket (obviously), pork ribs, and turkey leg, although I dont know if hes still doing turkey legs. It might be a seasonal thing. Others are correct, the prices are a little high, but you wont regret splurging if you decide to visit Nates. If its your first visit, it might be a little tricky to see, since its a small shop in a small strip of shops. Also note that, while they do have a table there, its not really designed for dining in. Grab your bbq deliciousness and take it home or back to the office and make everyone jealous.

Food is 4 stars no doubt! Sadly they are understaffed on busy evening and it can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes to get an order as simple as a lb of brisket and potato salad. Def worth stopping in but beware if you think its a quick easy in and out in Friday and sat evenings.
