We found out about the place after watching a YouTube video that showcased the restaurant. Upon arrival, we noticed it is a small restaurant, almost mirroring a purely takeout spot, but they did have two tables with a few seats so seating is minimal. They have a basic yet effective menu. We went specifically for the banh mi and stuck to that. They have 7 different sandwich options. They had a promotion of buy 5 get 1 free so we got 6 out of the 7 sandwiches. We also got coconut water and sugarcane drinks. Everything was so good! As always, there will always be one sandwich that is preferred than others and that was the combination for us although the grilled pork was a close second. The sandwich bread was so crispy and the vegetables perfectly balanced the meats. The drinks were great, but next time I would try the coconut sugarcane combination. Its a great bang for your buck and we will definitely be back soon!

This banh mi place is amazing! I found it reading Reddit forums. The lady working the service desk is very kind. We order the #2 and #5 banh mi and they both were extremely delicious. The sugar cane is freshly pressed. Everything taste fresh. This will be my permanent banh mi go to place

This is my favorite place to get a quick cheap delicious fresh lunch during work. Their short menu highlights their skill; the banh mis are phenomenal, I ve tried and loved every option. I usually order a sandwich (grilled pork is my favorite I think) and a Vietnamese coffee or Thai tea. They also have a buy 5 get 1 free deal, so bringing friends & family is always a good idea. I love Ba Lee and want everyone else to love them too :)

Great bánh mì sandwiches for a good price. I had the combo bánh mì which consisted of cold cuts, pate and fresh pickled veggies. Bread was crisp on the outside, fresh on the inside; just what you want in a bánh mì. Simple atmosphere as with most bánh mì shops. They also make fresh pressed sugar cane juice which can be hard to find. Will go back.

Had very high hopes for this spot as the DFW needs a good banh mi shop. Not sure if we showed up at the wrong time or the day, but my sandwich was lacking flavor. It was shredded chicken (very bland almost rotissery chicken style) in a baguette with veggies. The bread and veggies were on point. But thats was about it. Being a huge fan of chicken banh mi (and the ribeye version), it usually has grilled lemon grass chicken which gives it this distinct charred flavor. My wife had the special one and she was not a big fan either. The people were super nice inside the shop, and the store was super packed! Maybe this version of banh mi is just not for us.

Thankyou Tina #doobydobap for this recommendation on this hidden gem! I drove from downtown Dallas to try the banh mi and sugar cane drink and let me tell you.... it was totally worth the drive! Andy (owner I think) helped us and took our order and was very helpful and nice. I ordered what Tina had on her you tube video which was the number 2 and 5. I was so excited to try this because out of all the places Tina ate at in Dallas, this was her number one bite and by far her best banh mi by far she had ever had. Thats some high praise so I had to try for myself! I took another banh mi lover with me. We both ordered the same. There is no seating inside so prepare to eat in car or take home. We ate off the trunk of my car and it immediately put a smile on my face. The French bread was so crispy and was the perfect vehicle to hold all the fresh ingredients and house made meats. It paired so well with the sugar cane, but honestly this sandwich would go with anything! I will definitely come back for this banh mi even though its a drive. The value for the quality and freshness is unmatched and you would be a fool not to come here to try this banh mi! I would give 6 stars if I could. Maybe add 1 or 2 tables for people like me to eat at but thats just a bonus, Ill still come and happily eat outside or in the car. Lol. Well anyways, if you dont try this place, your just dumb. Haha jk. Not really.

This a gem hole in the wall must try Vietnamese bread sandwich shop. They also have a special sugar cane drink that they make on the spot that is delicious and refreshing. Reminds me of Vietnam . You if want to take it home and eat later they will separate the veggies and put it in a bag so you can add it later and toast it in a toaster oven and tastes amazing. Parking: Parking all around, never a problem

Omg I just found my new local sandwich shop. I ordered the #5 pork grilled Banh mi with a sugar cane drink. The sandwich was so delicious and full of flavor. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the veggies blended well with the sandwich. It was superb, thank you, God! Definitely recommend checking out this Vietnamese shop. The people running this shop are really friendly and nice people. Its so close to my house as well. Its affordable too. Anything DFW foodie would love this place.

Vegetarian options: You can ask for a veggie sandwich, and they ll ask if you want it vegan without butter. We still get it with the butter, of course.

Stumbled upon this shop last year and have consistently gone back! The shop owners are extremely sweet and the sandwiches are excellent! I wanted to do a banh mi charcuterie board for lunar new year and they were wonderful helping me estimate how much food would be appropriate for the amount of people and the best way to arrange the boards. They also offered to cut all the sandwiches into 3 parts for me to help out!!! Wonderful shop that goes above and beyond!!! Highly recommend!!!

The owner was super helpful when we asked about getting supplies for a banh mi charcuterie. They made it super easy to set up a beautiful board. We purchased the cha lua, pickled veggies, baguette, pate, and mayo from here. The only things we had to get on our own were cucumbers, cilantro, and jalapeños. The board was a HIT, not a single piece remained at the end! The fan favorite was the delicious homemade pâté and mayo. I really recommend this shop not just for their delicious sandwiches but for their kind service too! Picture shows the banh mi board in the back :)

Went to this place because Doobydobap recommended it and it did not disappoint!! The sandwiches tasted very authentic and natural. I got the #1 and my husband got the #2 and we loved them! Not to wet, not too dry, and the perfect bread to meat to veggie ratio. We also got the sugar cane drink and I paired so well with the sandwiches! If you go you just get their sugar cane drink because they juice the sugar cane themselves, so theres nothing added to it! Simply 100% all natural sugar cane.

I stopped by here yesterday from Abilene, TX after my medical appointments in town. My husband wanted some banh mi and I found Ba Lee banh mi shop. Husband asked why I bought 6..well 1 for breakfast, 1 for lunch, and 1 for dinner for each of us The best banh mi we ever had. I got the #1, 2, and 5. They have the buy 5 get 1 free. The fillings are a lot and the sandwich is supper dupper big. Ill definitely stop by here again the next time Im in the area.

These might be the best bánh mì Ive ever had. Im picky about the bread, but it is perfect here. Thin crispy crust that breaks away to soft, fluffy bread on the inside. The meats and veggies are great too. I didnt even get to try the BBQ pork, which is my go to for trying new places, because it was sold out already. I went with the crumbled meatball (#4) and pâté combo (#1) and enjoyed both.

Combination Sandwich was amazing. Got the 5 + 1 special. The quality is great and very generous with meats and vegetables. I haven t been here in 4 years, ownership has since changed, the price went up a bit but two things haven t changed: the quality and the awesomeness of their Banh Mi. Bar none, the best Banh Mi sandwiches in the Carrollton/Lewisville/Plano/Frisco/Flower Mound area. If you want authentic Banh Mi and live in any of those cities this is the ONLY place you should go to. Pate? They have it and aren t afraid to use plenty of it. Pickled veggies? Crispy and just the right amount of sweetness. Vietnamese Mayo? You actually get it here unlike other places that use some crazy concoction that s so disrespectful to true Banh Mi connoisseurs. Even at $3 per sandwich this is an absolute value. Yes, $3. If you re paying anything close to twice that price somewhere else you re most likely paying for a gentrified version of the Banh Mi so don t do it to yourself. Instead, do yourself a favor and take yourself here, get 5 sandwiches (to get that golden 6th one free), go home, sit back and relax with a great sandwich.
