After hours of shopping during a visit to Carrolton from Waco, I was starving with a major craving for sushi, sake, and Japanese bar bites. Spotted Sushi Kushi across the street from H Mart, and after seeing it was an all you can eat, I gave it a try. Truly, so glad I did! Being a single diner, my experience with service usually focuses on bigger ticket tables, leaving me waving someone down to get an order. Refreshingly, this was never the case; I was treated like a queen by the staff, especially Ryota, who took the time to warmly welcome me and even show me a couple of their interesting sake options to match my selections. For $40 at dinner, constantly having new plates of sashimi and carpaccio followed by crispy karaage and tempora, I was so satisfied while feeling almost pampered during my visit. Although I was solo, the atmosphere (cool music!) and generous space had me planning out the next group dinner before walking out the door. This is the place for anyone who knows what they want or likes to share lots of flavors across the table when hosting a group of friends over multiple courses . Right off of the action of the shopping areas, there is plenty of parking and a more laid back, mature vibe, so even easier to come stress free and let them take care. Highly recommend.

The menu is pretty big with bunch of options to choose from. Definitely suggest you to visit and try the ALL YOU CAN EAT!! Trust me its worth every penny!! P.S. Try the handrolls too theyre delicious!! Parking: They have a pretty big parking lot at the Front and Back!! (We were there during the peak hours. Initially, we didnt know they had a big parking lot in the back as well )

I was looking for a sushi restaurant nearby and came upon this new place that just opened. My friend does not eat sushi but I saw they had hibachi as well so we decided to try this place out. We both had the all you can eat and omg...this was the best all you can eat sushi restaurant that Ive been to. I love sushi so I have been to many all you can eat sushi restaurants in many different cities but this place was the best. The all you can eat dinner included hibachi, as well as many different kinds of cooked items, so my friend was happy too. I will definitely come back!

I did all you can eat dinner. The sashimi was really good. The crab rangoons and takoyaki were great. The crab rangoons were thinner skinned than most places, which I liked. The crag ragoon was very creamy and yummy, but didnt have much (or any?) crab. I also tried the eel and avocado roll, which I thought was too salty. The dai dai roll was good. Did not like: Monkey brain, chicken katsu appetizer Liked: takoyaki, seared salmon, eel nigiri, scallop Service: questionable, they forgot my bfs hibachi plate. Might be ok as long as you order sushi/nigiri The chicken katsu was the saddest thing Ive seen. The meat was not even 1 cm thick. It looked like they fried chicken skin and not meat Note that if one person on your table is ayce, everyone else has to be too.

I submitted a sushi and sashimi combo for $125 to entertain guests at home, and the owner happened to cook it himself, but the sushi left by the buffet guests yesterday evening was just caked with soy sauce, and the rice hardened and looked like a snack, so it was not sushi, but stale rice balls. The salad provided was wilted and missing, and the pickled radish was rotten. He asserts that he is crazy about giving food left behind by guests because he wants to ruin it. Please conduct business with conscience.

I have never had such great service in recent times. All the servers were very diligent and quick, we didnt have to wait long when we ordered, and they would come and ask for our food before we called. We ordered a variety of different menus, none of them were top quality, and none of them were disappointing. We went last week, and our team will be visiting this restaurant again today. I hope this restaurant continues to be this good and prosperous.

Service was slow, they kept messing up the rolls we would order. That evening the place was not very clean, they also charged full price for kids under 10 and that was disappointing as they really did not eat much from the all you can eat menu, the biggest issue was service was slow and the place was not clean. Very disappointed as our last visit was good.

Some of the BEST all-you-can-eat sushi in all of the DFW! The AYCE menu is generous with plentiful options to order in the 2 hour limit. My favorite rolls are the rainbow roll, Alaska roll, New York roll and butterfly kiss roll. Edited to add: this place is always amazing! My last visit was perfect! The chefs are so incredibly skilled at creating the bearolls and plating them. I go at a time I know the place wont be too busy so service for my three rounds was super quick. The appetizer list consisted of egg rolls, crab rangoon, beef teriyaki, chicken katsu, seaweed salad, garden salad, cucumber salad, soft shell crab, fried calamari..... the list went on and was quite impressive All @ about $40 per person, with water included and all other drinks for purchase. The best thing about Sushi Kushi is their interior. If only the price, value, structure, and quality were up to par. Now, Im not saying that I didnt have a good experience, because overall, I enjoyed myself. However, there were a few glaring problems. As many other reviewers have mentioned, the service could be better. Especially at this price point. The menu selection is decent, but no sashimi is a joke. Especially at this price point. I have rarely seen an AYCE Sushi restaurant, not have sashimi on the menu, especially at this price point. As you can see, there is a pattern. The quality of some of the fish were good to excellent, but some of the fish had low quality vibes, especially the Tuna, which is a BIG no no, especially at this price point. And to top it off, they have the strangest rule. If one person in your party gets AYCE, then ALL of your party members have to get AYCE. What the....what happened to each person ordering what they want? Especially at this price point. If everyone else wants to order a soup and 1 roll each, but if one person gets AYCE, then by default, they all have to pay $40 not including tax and tip, when they just wanted a soup and a roll? Thats just nonsense. Especially at this price point. And the menu doesnt even include Green Tea or Red Bean ice cream? Especially at this price point? Im still giving it 4 stars, since Google wont let me give 3.5, because overall, the food was good, but they certainly do have a lot of small holes to fill.

This is the only review you ll ever need. Sushi Kushi aesthetically looks nice all around; restaurant and food. Customer service was good, except having to continually having to call my server over rather than them checking up on us. (Petty Stuff) However, I ll get into the food All the sushi overall had fishy smell and taste, like eating a gamy bear meat. It was so strong to the point that it was really uncomfortable to eat. I saw reviews saying that someone got food poisoning from salmon and tuna, and I thought, it s the risk you gotta take for eating raw fish . But after trying their food, I can definitely tell that their fish isn t fresh. However, I will say, if you like variety such as hibachi, kebab, and some specialty rolls; they do offer a lot in their menu. I would not recommend doing AYCE sushi with the fish they re offering.

I usually never leave a bad review but honestly my last experience was extremely disappointing. I have been going here for AYCE sushi over the last few years. So, I decided to bring my family from out of town, the quality of sushi was just okay. It used to be good but the quality has continually dropped over time. On top of that, their prices for AYCE has risen from I think $32 to $39 within the last year or 2. The one thing that made me not want to return is the lack of customer service. They were unfriendly, felt like our servers were just dropping and throwing dishes off at our table. We had a question and they just rushed off. We literally found a small sticker under one of our rolls that looked like it came off from one of the plates. On top of that they charged us 20% gratuity for a table of 5. I would gladly tip that and more if we got any kind of actual customer service. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. There are so many more better spots in Dallas.

Sadly from the picture you can even tell the low quality of the tuna. The texture was meaty and did not melt in your mouth. Multiple waiters kept bringing us the wrong order so Im sure other tables were missing some of their dishes. Rice was dry. Really disappointed, I remember it being much better before. Ayce price is the same as Bros so I think I will stick to there.

Not impressed with the service. Where to start? My daughter and I visited this place for the first time on 3/23/2024. It was a mommy/daughter day and she loves to try new things so we came here. Keep in mind, she is four. We showed up and were promptly seated. It was NOT busy at all. There were lots of workers so I thought initially this is great! Shouldnt be any issues with timely service. Boy, I was wrong. Service started off great, but quickly became awkward. Not to mention, they sit you in this general area with lots of tables and no privacy at all while they all stand around and gawk at you....sheesh. Where should I start? Well, lets start with the good: 1. Food was very good considering it was a AYCE place. Beef, great! 2. Some of the staff was great (although it seemed to be the staff clearing the tables that worked the fastest but well get to that later). Unfortunately, thats all i can say for the good. Keep in mind, my daughter and I were there a total of maybe an hour, hour and 15 minutes, and the majority of the time we were being silly and spending time. The first 30 minutes, the staff was very attentive and happy to take our order, but by the last half, they pretty much ignored us, which made me feel rushed and unappreciated. So, lets move to the bad: 1. Im pretty sure my full order was not brought out both times i ordered. Items werent brought out all at once and they forgot my eel the first time. 2. Service completely fell off after 30 minutes and I truly felt like they were just trying to get us out of there. I had told the one server that i thought i had ordered more but wasnt sure. So he left, which was to go and check (I thought) but he never came back. I didnt have another menu to order so i waited until another person came over and asked if we were ok. Which is when i eventually was brought another sheet to order. 3. Some of the staff were super soft spoken and didnt seem that friendly. Maybe thats just their personality but if youre in the service industry, you should be a little more outgoing. 4. We had advised them it was our first time but nothing was really explained to us other than, we have two hours and whatever is left over, we pay for.... It just seemed so robotic and short. 5. I do not like that each table has 20 different people working. I can assure you, the great workers are getting screwed daily by the bad ones because most people who received the service i did, wouldnt have tipped at all. Also, because it was the weekend, I paid dinner price so the total was $57.26 for both of us. My daughter ate yakisoba noodles and edamame so, for the price of $13 for her, they are making a killing off of the kids. With that being said, money is not the issue, the service is. Heres the thing....I tipped $80 (on top of the $57.26) because i didnt want to punish the people that actually worked (this is not a joke and Im sure the workers from yesterday can attest to my tip = 4 x $20 bills). If i tip that much for bad service, imagine what i wouldve tipped for excellent service? Unfortunately, we will not be back any time soon. I will try out the other all you can eat places in the area before i ever decide to return. Stop making people feel uncomfortable and rushed. Shame on you. Dont open an all you can eat, if you dont want people EATING ALL THEY CAN. I get that some people probably do come in and eat way more than others, but that was not the case with us and Im so disappointed in the service. I wanted to love it, but unfortunately it didnt work out that way. Do better. Youre losing good customers.

I admitt all you can eat sushi must be a catch somewhere, either very low quality or you have to buy something else to go with it. This was not the case! The sushi was excellent, as was the quick and courteous service. There was a wide selection of rolls, sushi, sashimi, hibachi, soup , and salads to choose from. We started with a hot cup of miso soup while we filled out our order card for the first round. The only catch if you will is that you need to eat what you order or they will charge you extra for what you didnt eat. I think it just keeps people from being wasteful. The yellow tail and salmon were very good.

My favorite place in dallas for sushi! Their AYCE menu is top notch - good quality and not too much rice like other AYCE sushi places lol their rice is quite stale but everything else is good. I love their spicy edamame, baked mussels, and cappacios from the AYCE menu. The servers are nice and the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy - not too loud but not silent. They are pretty quick with the food so u dont have to wait long. Definitely recommend for those passing this area.

If I can put 0 stars that would be too much for this place. As soon as I came in with my friends they were complaining about there s an hour before closing although we were there way ahead of time. We were a group of 5 and when our server came we told them that 2 people weren t going to eat. They took the plates from in front of them, then the owner still decided to come out and try to kick out our 2 friends. He started cursing at us and threatened to fight us. I was a frequent customer and now id rather sushi from a dumpster then step foot into this establishment. STAY AWAY!!!

We came with a large group (17-18ppl) and were quickly and politely accommodated in a comfortable side room. Service was fast, drinks were refilled, food was very good. Each party must decide if it will order from the All You Can Eat or al a cart menu. Our group had chosen AYCE. It took a couple minutes to figure it out but one of the staff kindly assisted us. Everything we had was very good. All the fish tasted very fresh. Veggies bright and crisp. I know its a little silly, but their seaweed salad was the best Ive had. And I order that every time its available. We will go again. Soon. Im looking forward to trying the al a cart menu.

I took my fiancé to this place for his birthday. We arrived at 8:30 and left at 10pm. We got the all you can eat sushi. All throughout the night i was throwing up profusely due to FOOD POISONING from this place. I called and asked to speak to a manager the following day and i was utterly surprised with how i was treated. I was yelled at by manager on duty and asked if i went to the hospital and how was i sure it was their restaurant? I let them know i had not eaten anything else that day. The manager would not even let me talk and yelled over me and then hung up. I called back and asked him to please listen to what i have to say. He told me hed call the police on me and hung up again. Its really sad that management would treat someone this way. Not only did the food give me food poisoning, but i also got treated extremely poorly after the fact. I will never be back and suggest you dont go unless youd like the same treatment smh

I visited this restaurant to celebrate my husbands birthday. The prices have gone up since I last visited, but the food was still fresh and delicious. The sushi was excellent. The fish was fresh and flavorful, and the rice was perfectly cooked. The only downside was that rice portions were very large compared to sushi. We ordered a few appetizers and a variety of sushi rolls, and we were all too full to finish everything. I would recommend skipping the appetizers if you want to save more room for sushi. For fellow raw fish skeptics, the nikusushi offers a satisfying alternative, featuring savory marinated beef draped over seasoned rice

My husband tried one roll each from the six that we ordered and was not pleased at all. For me it was ok, not terrible, but could of tasted better. The atmosphere was too loud, we could hardly hear each other speak. We were hoping to get a discount since my husband did not eat and did not like any of the sushi. But no! We ended up paying the full price. It was a very disappointing experience. We are never going back.

This was our second trip to this location. While all the wait staff look in touch, it has faltered a bit with both visits. Both instances we were missing ordered items at least once or twice, each time we came. Each time we were told the staff would check on those extremely late items on our AYCE dine in, and never recieved follow up. Just an offering of a new menu to order more items, which can be a concern about your original order coming head to head with your new order if the chefs actually follow through with the original order after you make the second. If its not clear, this joint charges you for ANY leftovers such as a half bite of rice. Add on to that, your party only has 90 minutes during lunch to finish eating and 2hrs during dinner. A bit of concern when youre waiting on items youve ordered previously, 2 waiters have claimed they would check on it, then as your meal has progressed after waiting youre asked if you want a new menu...worrying about the first round coming back to bite you. When a place like this warns you heavily about being financially responsible for leftovers, service needs to match that expectation. I know my appetite and duration of it, when you go from all service to none...you make me question if the restaurant is trying to get one over on us. When I say we were missing items, I mean we were missing at least 7 items and didnt want that over our heads as an after meal surplus charge since we never got an answer on the previously ordered food and the Ill check on that without any response from multiple waiters. We waited about 40 minutes in between, before we decided it was safe to just order more food and not be charged extra. Outside of these service issues, I will say the wasabi is powdered. Acceptable, but not matching the cost or quality of the fish. The Ikura(salmon roe) is well packed(if it arrives) and at least double the amount Kura offers with a cucumber. The seared salmon, salmon, and eel were well portioned slices for Nigiri...not just rice balls with slivers of fish. One of the biggest disappointments was the squid(Ika) Nigiri, as they usually sear it with a blow torch. Which changes the consistency of the squids density entirely, Id expect it more if the menu said seared squid. The only other complaint about the food was the asparagus beef roll, which the beef tasted like how wet dog smells. The miso soup was flavorful, the dumplings decent, and the wasabi Tako salad needed a bit more wasabi but was still mostly enjoyable to the palate. The location is a tad small, today was a bit hectic. We came in with our 1 year old, they did have high chairs available. Wait wasnt obseen, but the main host was very dismissive to the hostess as well as our party. She was trying to tell him about our parties needs, and instead he immediately shifted to the party in front of us to say thats not important until we get to them. Often being a host you need to move on the fly and arrange for multiple parties in advance. It felt as if the hostess and us were not important enough to consider, until he got to that previous party. I dont mean that party wasnt first or important, but that he acted as if none of the rest of us were. Parking was completely packed, we were lucky to get a spot at all. Its a small lot shared between at least 7 companies. Vegetarian options: Vegan rolls available.

Im not a big eater, but I think I consumed about $200 worth myself. They have rooms too for private meeting. You must try before they run out of business. Considering the current inflation rate and food cost, I dont think they make any profits. I will take some pictures and share them with you guys after my next visit.

Review on AYCE: mid quality, low value. Food: meh quality with low value. No sashimi, only certain nigiri, maki, and small plates. Sushi rice is quite dry and is imbalanced with any fish or other types of sushi meat. The garlic on the albacore nigiri was stale and very hard. The ebi are cooked. The crabs are imitation crab. The hot dishes were ok (fried squid, oyster). The fried tofu (agedashi tofu) skin were thin and parchy, while the inside were unfortunately not smooth. The only dish i would recommend is the escolar (ono). Service: very fast, they have about 7 staff with 6 cook in the open kitchen watching us, and they got the dishes as soon as they were empty (they took my squid sauce and walked away before I could even tell them that I still have squid on my plate that needs dipping). Parking: limited. Small parking and most spots are reserved by either 7-11 or the hair salon next door.
