The kerala items here do not taste authentic at all anymore. Ordered Aviyal, thoran and a few non-veg items. Unfortunately they do not have the original mallu taste anymore. The food here used to taste great. The management and cooks seem to have changed.

I recently had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes including tandoori chicken, shrimp varuval, chicken cutlet, aapam, egg roast, and goat biryani, and I must say, most of the items left a lasting impression with their incredible flavors. While the flavors are exceptional, serving the food a little hotter would elevate the customer experience. Currently, the dishes are served at room temperature, which detracts slightly from their overall enjoyment.

I would rate this restaurant as a roadside sweet meat seller type restaurant similar to on streets of kerala while others down in our Gods own country are far better this is like just ok.ok . many of us miss the kerala food so we try to find here and we have to do with this type of food.. I wouldn t even recommend this restaurant if someone is looking for a coastal cuisine.. I spent more than $75 here to try to find all his offerings but they were below par .. including the fish , chicken and beef dishes .. the Appam also was off the charts .. not so good ; they need to make drastic changes to the food quality and taste if they have to get repeat customers.. Parking: Free parking in front but very few slots ? Kid-friendliness: Not so kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible

I wish I could give them 0 stars. The price is through the roof, not reasonable for the quantity they give you. And the taste of the food went down dramatically compared to before. Highly recommend their Chili Gopi!!! Especially with the homemade raita and citrus chutney. Samosas were good, but re-warming them would have been nicer. Portions for entrees are very large and piping hot. It will be nicer when the weather cools down, though: hot air was blowing in when door opened and their AC / fan was not up to the task! Pricey food. $15 for rice and one entree, no sides, no drink. Regarding the entree, I ordered fish curry, so it has 6-7 pieces of fishes and curry. nothing else. Its not a reasonable price for me. For the flavor, its quite salty in the curry. So I didnt see any highlights on the flavor. So, with an not quite tasty entree, with a high price, most probably I dont recommend this restaurant.

We recently order food for our son s birthday.supposed to come at 6pm, which they delivered at 8pm. Also chilli chicken and butter chicken were so sour, which we asked why. The answer surprised us, which he said sometimes it comes out good and sometimes no. (We were in that NO list). One more thing, before we order the food it says free delivery. The guy who came to deliver with food asks $150 for the delivery charge. The sad part is we had to waste a lot of food because of that. Never ever recommend the store. So rude. They don t care. I have been wanted to taste the Kerala food for so long and then found bay leaf. They have the most of the Kerala authentic food prepared fresh. I liked all the snacks(banana fry, paripuvada, sughuiyan) over there. I ordered chicken fry, Kappa, fish curry coconut, avial, thoran, mango curry and appam was the best. They have a good amount of veg options and non veg options particularly the beef fry tasted heaven. The front desk staff were so polite and humble. The chef was very humble and talented. Their service was good. The waiting time was 15 minutes long, but it was worth the wait. All my family enjoyed the food. I will definitely visit the next time as they said they have Sunday specials.

Amazing Mallu (Kerala) cuisine at reasonable prices! Since only one chef who does everything, theres a bit of a wait sometimes; especially on the weekend lunches/ brunches. I m malayali and have a love for food. Have been trying to find the best places in the area since I moved recently from NYC. I m also currently 35 weeks pregnant. Got Biryani a couple of weeks ago. Felt fresh and tasted homely Went back today, got porotta, chicken curry and beef fry. Chicken curry lacked flavour - it had colour, just no flavour. Beef fry feels old, definitely not fresh. He started cooking it once we got there so you can imagine its probably just frozen and reheated. We tasted it and didn t like the food and have thrown it all away. I didn t even finish what I served for myself Would have loved to support a local small business, shame there is a lack of quality and freshness in the food!! Please don t order from here if you re pregnant. Not worth the food poisoning!!!

Other items that Sanu aces in is preparing Indo-chinese food like fried rice, chicken chilli, chicken 65 etc.. Thought of sharing my experience with Bay Leaf Garden - Carrollton so that you can decide whether to go there or not.For the first time; I took a carryout of chicken 65 and chicken biriyani from them today and it was the worst experience we ever had in our life.. The biriyani was cold and on top of that was having very odd rotten smell ( which you get from old stale food). We couldnt even taste it since we could not even bring it near our mouth due to the stinking smell...Chicken 65 peices were hard to chew and we couldnt eat that too. I hope this doesnt affect my wifes health since she is pregnant. Wonder what quality checks happen in these restaurants. On top of this, I called the restaurant and the person was very arrogant and rude to even admit this.
