I was shocked by how horrible it was the last time we visited. It s usually ok, but never horrible. We ve gone to Kura a bunch, both at this location and the one in Plano. It wasn t crowded, the people working there were hanging out or on their phones so it took longer than usual to get just our drink order, and that was after the self service computer was glitching so it wasn t taking our drink orders initially. The sushi tasted kind of off and when I got a piece of cheesecake, it had mold on it. When I called the server, he said sorry i will tell my manager, and that s all we heard. I didn t expect much, but I did expect the manager to apologize or explain or something more than literally nothing. We paid and left, and the kid at the door was on his cellphone and could barely be bothered to say anything. I don t mind the bad service because that s kind of a Kura thing (I don t think I ve ever seen the same workers there so I don t think they treat them well), but the food, while mediocre, at least always seemed safe. Needless to say, we will not return to this location.

Food and service have always been really good here in the experience is super fun! Ive been to this location several times with business partners and they all are hooked! The only things I might note about this location I dont care for are some of the areas seem a little grimy and a couple of the thresholds are not ADA wheelchair accessible. Other than that, the rest of the experience has been great!

Ive been coming here for years, however I wont be coming back. The final check is wrong half the time, because the staff didnt clear the system. The food portion is tiny for what they charge. The food is highly inconsistent, could be okay on Saturday but terrible and unconsumable on Tuesday. The place has increasingly becoming filthy with flies, unclean tables, etc. There are tons of other places for sushi for half the price and better service.

I tend to go to this location often the only thing i don t like is when you re waiting for the hostess to sit you they do not say your party name loud enough. I was sitting right next to the host stand and when they said my party name I could barely hear them. The place itself is buzzing with conversation so it s pretty noisy. The hostesses should be a bit louder when announcing the name of the party so even the people in the back can hear.

You can pick items from rotating belt or order items from table and it comes to your table on the belt. As you collect plates from your orders, you put them in slot to play a game and win prizes. It gets pricey each plate 2-3 pieces and starts at 3.25 per plate. Not much service, the robot brings u drinks. Parking: Evenings is busy but weekend evenings is really busy.

I used to love going to this place but I had a bad experience. The waitress there dropped and spilled food everywhere and one of the soups hit me and spilled all over the back of my white cardigan. I wasn t going to be mad because accidents happen, but it was how they handled the situation. The waitress just came up to me and ask if I was paying cash or card and I had my hair wet with soup and my cardigan. I went to talked to manager and he just shooed me away by saying he would take 40% off my food. I was trying to explain to him the professional manner of apologizing and asking if a customer is okay, but he ignored my efforts.

I recently had a really bad experience regarding customer service in this restaurant. I have to say that the most problematic person is with purple hair, the receptionist. Moreover, she was not informative at all with regard to the rules for waiting. Her reply was very vague and didnt help at all when requested. At the beginning, she was quite rude and discriminating. When I complained about the service, she just responded with OK, bye. Shockingly unprofessional and courteous. I wouldnt come back here until big changes are made.

We have always loved Kura and have gone multiple times! We love the experience and the vibe overall, it s just really fun to eat there! This last time however, the experience started out very negatively as we had an incredibly rude hostess. We got in like through the app like we normally do, checked in, and waited outside for the text that our table was ready as usual, because the inside waiting area was packed. I kept checking our status and then all of a sudden we were no longer on the list. When I went in to check why, the host was incredibly rude in explaining to me that apparently now you have to wait inside and listen for your name, to which I mentioned how often we ve eaten here and she continued to basically tell me I was wrong. When I said sorry we were just waiting outside (directly outside, definitely visible through the window) since the inside waiting area is so packed, I got the response No it s not i ve been standing here the whole time. She ended up putting us back on the waitlist and calling our name literally 2 minutes later, so she could ve just apologized for the misunderstanding and kindly asked us to wait a couple minutes and we ll get a table ready for you. Just disappointing to have such a terrible hostess at a restaurant we love so much.

Been to a few revolving sushi places and this one is marginal at best. Selection is good but not enough rolls, just thinly sliced sushi so portions are pretty bad for cost per plate. Quality is also subpar and doesn t taste fresh. Cool setup like most revolving sushi. Going one star though as the staff is quite rude, especially the hostess (I ll leave the name and description off out of kindness). I had three people that were going to eat with a fourth that was going to join us later and just drink because she had already eaten. I put us down as 4 and they would not seat us until the entire party was there. I explained we just had three eating so the people eating were there and it was going to be a four top anyways. Simple misunderstanding and explanation that could be rectified but she STILL did not want to seat us because of POLICY and getting in trouble with corporate and management. I tried to explain again and asked to turn our reservation to three and she told me to calm down and then berated me for a bit before then just staring at me for 30 seconds straight. Sorry for trying to explain. A simple hey, we just want to be sure people are here so tables aren t taken for longer than they need to but now I understand so all good would have been fine but the hostess obviously feels customers are annoying and need to better learn their policy. I won t be back either way but wanted to let people know if you want a boring selection of under portioned and lower quality sushi that s overpriced while feeling you are bothering the staff, go right ahead. For me, there are better options for revolving sushi than this chain.

Not the best rendition of Kura. We have been to several locations in different cities, and this one was not up to par. There seemed to be very little going around on the normal conveyor, which can be offset by using the screen and ordering things to be delivered. But many of the nigiri that we saw go by looked like not the best pieces of fish being used, so we were hesitant to order them as a result.

Ive been coming here since they first opened years ago on mothers days, every trip was always a wonderful treat, but as time has progressed the quality of service rapidly declined with it, pricing has gone up fairly drastically especially considering there was even a reduction in portion sizes, typical meal for 2 would typically be about $50/$60 but now its over $100, it just isnt worth it anymore, the drink robot is annoying and unnecessary for the size of space and the wait staff is not all attentive when it comes to refilling drinks. Just sad once this company became public everything declined.

My only real complaint was that the space felt really cramped, but at the same time I understand why considering the type of place it is. Food was delicious, and as someone with social anxiety I appreciated the minimal human interaction Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options, most being sides like edamame or watermelon for dessert. Dietary restrictions: Great for people with lactose intolerance, most options wouldnt be an issue. Not great for vegan or vegetarian peoples. I cant be certain about allergens in the kitchen, but I didnt notice any dishes that contained nuts. Soy on the other hand, Id avoid if you have a soy allergy. Not great for keto, low carb, paleo, WW, or most diets, except pescatarian, great for a pescatarian diet. Wheelchair accessibility: Not very wheel chair accessible due to the tight spaces. The drink robot kept getting stuck on the chair of the person I was with. However, it is still possible to get a wheelchair in and maneuver it around with some light effort, though.

This place is amazing! I love the experience. The food is great and clean. The staff is friendly. I would download the app and get on a wait list though they are always very busy! If you go on weekends or near the dinner and lunch rush expect it to be packed. Wednesdays are fantastic for chilling out and eating with a date though! Plates are about 3.75 a piece I believe. Plates have 1 to 2 peices on the plate. Vegetarian options: Large selection if you still eat fish otherwise not very many options.

Revolving sushi bar, granted their sushi choices get kind of limited if you go there enough. They do occasionally add new permanent additions to the menu, as well as seasonal rotations though. Overall, fantastic revolving sushi restaurant in the DFW area. Pro-tip, get the Taiyaki for desert!!!

First time in years, decided to give it another shot. Im not sure why this place is so busy...there are much better options in Carrollton. Everything tasted old and the only flavor was stale. The fried shrimp on the rolls wasnt fried in the last hour, it was fried the previous days, or multiple days ago. Also, my wife asked the waitress for wasabi (horseradish...they dont do real wasabi here) and she got an attitude. Literally the worst sushi ever. Go if you live in a trailer.

This place was absolutely disgusting the floors were sticky, the walls had food on them and even the table was dirty overall everything was just absolutely filthy, don t even get me started on the food for 4.33$ you would expect some good sushi? no. the sushi there isn t even fresh which wasn t worth the price. now for the service was terrible the waiters/waitress were absolute karens!!! told me not breath basically overall if you go here please lower your expectations to some 2 star greasy diner in the middle of nowhere equivalent to a 2 star motel in those movies.

Their sushi quality has gone down at the Carrollton location the last few months they have changed their Negitoro. Their yellow tail is not as fresh, cuts are not as consistent and the rice is inconsistent as well. The Bin Toro is also not a very good cut of sushki either.

Kid-friendliness: My son loves being able to watch the sushi go by and pick what he wants. He also loves the little toy that comes out when you put in enough plates. Also the French fries are pretty good. Food
