I really enjoyed this small bakery. I love going to restaurants of other cultures and cuisines and practicing speaking their language. So I walk in, Hola! Como estas? And they start speaking very fast and excitedly. Thats where my Spanish just fails me lol. And even though the elderly woman told me, Mi English, es muy poquito, we were still able to communicate, and they helped me get a delicious sweet cheese bread ball and their coffee was excellent too. It didnt even survive the trip to my destination. Theres plenty of room for more growth in this place, but id consider it a solid little hole in the wall Columbian Cafe.

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT I was very excited to find a Colombian food restaurant near my house. The service was very good, friendly, polite and very attentive like all good Colombians. I ordered a picada and it was the worst I have eaten in my 35 years of life. Tasteless, unfunny. To the point that I barely tried it. I only ate a little potato and arepa. For my wife, a shredded meat and it didnt meet expectations either. The 2 dishes with 2 juices added up to a bill of almost $50. It may not be that much money, but other Latin restaurants in the area can offer you a better experience for less than that amount. I returned home disappointed and hungry! In short, I do not recommend this place. Other sites offer you much better quality at the same price.

I had an incredible experience at this Colombian restaurant and bakery! The baked goods (la Parva) are simply amazing fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole visit delightful. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Colombian treats! In Colombia, parva refers to a variety of small, typically baked, snacks and pastries that are often enjoyed with coffee or hot chocolate. These can include items like almojábanas (cheese bread), pandebonos (cheese buns), buñuelos (fried dough balls), and arepas (corn cakes). Parva is commonly found in bakeries and is a staple of Colombian cuisine, especially for breakfast or as a mid-afternoon snack.

Today my wife decided to buy some Colombian food, nope not what I liked , food was bland, flavorless and expensive, services was poor, I was jumped by 2 people when my order was ready and I was there ready for payment, the chicharon was flavorless, the meat from the bandeja paisa needed more seasoning and a thicker piece of meat, the chorizo was small and cold from the inside, beans arent Colombian (pinto beans) the empanadas were too think and chew not crispy, in my experience the best Colombian restaurant in the DFW is La Cacerola Colombiana Cuisine.

The arepa is very delicious. The only thing is that they charged me for a chocolate that I had paid for, but due to the eagerness of the person who served me, they did not remove it from the bill. And in the end they charged me for something I never took . Always remember to check your invoices to claim at the moment.

Roaches for Lunch! My wife found a very large black roach in her bean bowl that gets served with every plate you order here. That was not the worst part, when I approached the server she acted like this was normal and happens in every kitchen. She included hers. (lady who wears black glasses) This behavior tells me that this happens often. When we approached the counter to pay for our food, there was no apologies from the man at the counter nor empathy on their behalf. My wife didnt make a scene. Although she should have and I should have called the health department. They didnt even offer my wife some water after she ran to the bathroom to throw up. They acted like nothing happened and continued to feed people from the same batch. They deducted the price of her meal. We left all the food at the table so we should be refunded for our meal. Being the first time this happens to us we did not know what to do so we paid $47.06 for the meal my kids and I were served. This experience has left me in pure disgust of this place. I should have listened to the first red flag when a couple was served someone elses food. They picked it up from the wrong table and served it anyways. This is not acceptable. Perhaps by being the only Colombian food place in the area they may overlook health standards for profit. I urge you to think twice before you visit here. Cockroaches for lunch!
