This Chinese food is not just a copycat restaurant. They elevate the dishes. They put time and care into the recipes and ingredients. Its a bit fresher. Its a bit more authentic. Its a bit more of a culinary experience. Come with an open mind and an empty belly. The Kung Pao is quite different but its one of my favorite takes on the classic recipe, a little more Szechuan. Ive liked all 5 dishes Ive tried.

Crab rangoons were to die for and the pork fried juicy buns were SO good! All the food appeared to be made fresh and the service was incredible! The crispy duck was a tad on the drier side but had a great flavor nonetheless. The pork belly gravy noodle was also very good, pork was super juicy, but it had a little too much noodle for one person with how thick the noodles are. If it was 1/4 less noodles, it would have been perfect. Will for sure be back to try out some more things!

Wow. Very impressed with the flavor, portion size, and selection of food from Mulan Noodle and Grill. I ordered the lunch version of the Jalapeno Stir Fry Chicken (with fried rice and hot & spicy soup). It came with two potstickers and one egg roll. It was a TON of food. I ate the whole thing and should have split it into two portions. When they say spicy, they really mean spicy. Not so overwhelming hot, but the plastic is present. The spice doesnt overpower the depth of flavor. I would eat here again and j would recommend this place.

A small Chinese restaurant which is actually quite good. The place is modern, comfortable with lots of noodles and dumpling options. There are also good variety of entrees as well. The sweet and sour chicken and braised tofu were delicious. Soup dumplings were not bad. Glad we discovered this restaurant today.

Ordered the scallion beef dry noodles to go and I ve never been so disappointed. Usually when I read a menu item as beef I expect more than 4 thin slices of dry beef. The noodles were basically seasoned with oil. There was a pool of oil at the bottom of the container and the only flavor profile was garlic. To top it all off the noodles and meat were cold. I d understand if this dish was a 8 dollar dish but for what I got not worth it at all.

Only 1 waitress in the entire restaurant. Food was awful! I ve never been more disappointed in spending $30 on lunch. Got the shrimp and pork steamed dumplings and it was gross. Ordered the beef Mongolian lunch special with lo mein noodles. Absolutely no flavor. Should have just gotten white rice. The only thing that hit the spot was the egg drop soup. Won t be coming back to this authentic flavorless restaurant.

The food was very tasty. Had the juicy dumplings, steamed combo dumplings, and scallion pancakes with the juicy dumplings being the best. We ordered one last round of the juicy dumplings when I noticed a bug floating in the vinegar bottle... understanding it was probably not a common occurrence, we asked to be swapped for a different vinegar bottle but that one also had a bug in it (a gnat or a fly). This made me lose my appetite, this is why for the food I rate a 2 star.

One of the coolest, cleanest, quality restaurants one could ever happen across in North Texas! I stumbled upon it, looking for flat noodles or dim sum! These folks are kind and attentive! I keep moving further away, but MuLan is ALWAYS worth the drive! I would take this place over most restaurants, and I eat out too much.....always searching for another MuLan, that will make a guy happy, that doesnt know too terribly much about the intricacies of Asian food! You dont need to know much....You just need to stop by this contemporary ( way beyond fast food) quick stop!

And I was starving so yes still ate everything. Service was fine. Would be willing to give it another try. People seem to like the soup dumplings.

While the portions are less if eat in, food tastes way better inside than to go. What I ordered is right in line with every other Chinese place Ive ordered fried rice and lo mein. Pretty tasty. A bit pricey during dinner as fried rice is$12.50 and lo mein $14.50. but had good service. Will be back.

The food was absolutely delicious! I had the crispy duck, a little pricey but I would say is worth it. The sauce was a great compliment to the flavor and the ducks skin was indeed very crispy! The hand made dumplings were good, tasted like authentic dumplings, the sauce was what really gave them a great kick. The size of the restaurant itself is a bit small, so it isnt suited for large groups of people getting together to eat there. Highly recommend as a date spot though! The service was very slow and not super attentive (they forget the tea my friend ordered), but they were super nice so maybe the person was just having an off-day. :)

Disappointing first impression. Ordered orange chicken, soup dumplings and egg drop soup for pickup. The orange chicken was incredibly dry and white rice seemed undercooked. The soup dumplings had an interesting flavor (still on the fence) but fell apart as soon as I touched them. Lastly, the egg drop soup was lacking flavor/salt and had some really dark bits of egg that were almost black.

Ok place for brunch-time dimsum. Food was served hot and server was attentive, but it was very not flavorful or reminiscent of the the dimsum or Ive had in Shanghai and Hong Kong. No dipping sauce and ginger served with the soup dumplings either. There are better places that cost less/the same and taste more authentic. Probably would not come back. I would also recommend adding the Mandarin/Cantonese names to the brunch menu for clarity on what youre ordering. Some of the English names are not descriptive.

Nice and simple interior looks. Service was ok nothing special . The food came out quickly and steamy hot which is how it should be except for the soup ( not steamy hot enough personal preference). The main reason why I came here is the pan-fried buns, because I don t like the pinched tops of fried buns and ordinary buns. They taste too hard and ruin the overall taste of the buns! It is the first time I have seen this method of frying the fried buns in reverse in this restaurant. It improves the overall taste of the fried buns, increases the crispiness, and preserves the soup more perfectly. It is worth a visit!

Great flavor with a real bite of spice from the added red sauce at the table. The chicken wings surprised me with more flavor than just your average fried chicken wing. The one waitress that was working was overwhelmed. She served the whole restaurant but still did her best to take care of each table. She really was awesome. She did the best possible job that she could and still apologized. A great job. We love the food here and will be back again. We will also continue to order via GH when convenient. Ive been here several times but its been a while now until we ordered pickup recently. The first 3 or 4 experiences were really good. The food is more authentic in flavor and ingredients, with the favored Chinese-American inspired additions youll find from your local takeout--done better. And at a fair price point. Dining in is prompt and friendly while pickup is smooth and on time. Then last night happened. For pickup we ordered a chicken dish and a noodle dish. The chicken was so dry that my son thought he had bit into a bone. The noodle dish was so small for the price and had barely any noodles - I asked them to omit the beef and use vegetable which saves them money - and still had hardly any noodles. The noodle dish was swimming in oil. The flavor was okay but our mouths were coated in oil. The broccoli was so saturated with oil that it was unpleasant to eat. Back to the size of the dish, I dont need a massive amount of food but if I remember correctly then their prices have really jumped while the dishes do not reflect consistency, much less add extra value. I dont know what happened and Ill probably give them another shot because they have been great in the past. Not thrilled with this last service though so 3 stars for now with fingers crossed that next time will be better.

Came in a group of 6 to get lunch on a Sunday. Only a few other tables inside. Ordered soup dumplings and pork buns and each person got an entree. We finished the soup dumplings and pork buns and waited for our entrees. First 2 people in our group got their food around 10 mins after appetizers came out. Around 25 mins later, one more entree came out. A few mins later, another one. By the time the last entree came out, we had been waiting over 40 minutes and the first two had finished their food 20 minutes prior. The pork buns and soup dumplings tasted great but the wait was really disappointing and we likely won t be returning.

I was in the area for some business, and I looked up this place. It kept getting shown up whenever I was in the Carrollton area, so I thought to finally try it out on a rainy day that made me CRAVE noodles! So I came in on a random weekday during lunch hours. I was seated very quickly, and there was barely anyone there dining in (about 2 other tables). The restaurant is clean, and staff were all wearing their masks. There was one woman who I saw busy at work folding dumplings. HECK YES. By looking at the menu, they offer quite a bit. But of course, I came because I wanted the housemade noodles and dumplings. I decided to order their special noodle soup with housemade noodles and their xiao long bao (soup dumplings). It didnt take long for the food to come out. The noodles came out first, and just think of it like their take on Taiwanese beef noodle soup. At first, I thought the noodles were a little pricey ($13 a bowl). However, I took a sip of broth and slurped the noodles and I was instantly HOOKED. The noodles were so pleasantly chewy and the broth was clean and had a spice to it that was hard for me to detect where it came from. It tasted close to curry and coriander in a chicken broth because of the color, but thats just a guess. The meat was PLENTIFUL in the bowl, and it was some of the softest meat Ive had in a beef noodle soup. The green onions and cilantro made the soup a little more herby and was the only garnish needed for the dish. Really, it was simple, but you can taste the quality of the food clear as day! The soup dumplings came out shortly after the noodles, and those came out PIPING HOT. So fair warning, if you order the soup dumplings, make sure to eat those FIRST before anything else. I made the mistake of letting 3 of the 6 sit while I ate my noodles, and the soup got lost with the dumplings, and that was my own fault. When I had the dumplings fresh, it was so soft, piping hot, and flavorful. The soup was plentiful, and the skin was nice and thin, just BARELY holding onto the filling. The meat was very soft as well, and really soaked in all of the flavors that made the dumplings so TASTY! I believe dine in is the best way to taste how good their food is. You can taste the housemade effort, and care into their specialty foods. If you decide to go, I would recommend sticking with what they make in house if you want something unique and quality made. Cant wait to go back!

I d recommend the Mulan Hand Pull Noodles for its taste of the soup and noodles. Also, the fried rice tasted much better than it looked. However, we felt like the skin of the dumplings were too thick and bad value for price for the Milan Beef Soup with Vermicelli.

I visited because my Taiwanese friend said it was delicious. The name of the restaurant is ``noodle and grill, but the noodles are okay. The xiao long bao etc. were more delicious. Also, the steamed dumplings have chewy skin and I would like to eat them again. I ordered hot and sour soup, but it was lukewarm (was it frozen?) and tasted weird. Its a good fusion of Chinese and American cuisine, so I think its a Chinese dish that can be enjoyed by people of all races and generations. The steamed bread we took home also looked delicious.

Not horrible but disappointing. I tried a lunch special. The hot and sour soup was very bland. I ended up putting soy sauce in just for a little flavor. Spring rolls were ok, but just slightly better than what you might get at Panda Express. Fried rice was ok. Nothing special but not the worst. Garlic pork was sweet and a bit bitter. Overall for the price it did not feel worth it. There are so many better choices for less just up the road about a mile.

Very good. Got the kung pao chicken, which was nice and spicey. Most places is flavorful, but not hot. The cashew chicken was done well. Had to wait for them to make more rice, which surprised me

I ordered beef noodle soup, mongolian beef and some item that looked like steam buns. Everything was terrible. The flavor of all the food was awful. The was almost no meat with the noodles. I would give the restaurant a zero star rating if I could. The Mongolian beef was was just grilled meat and onions no seasoning. The steam bun like dish tasted like chalk . The meat inside was probably the most flavorful thing I ate today.

The Soup Dumpling is pretty decent though this is the first time I have tried this dish. Otherwise, the rest of the dishes were less than average. These dishes are: Garlic Pork (very sweet with little garlic), Mongolian Beef which is bland and the vegetables were shredded too thick), Pork Lomein is absolutely a disaster without taste and soggy. The Hot and Sour soup is so so. The Egg Drop soup is pretty decent. I would recommend people to come here only for the Soup Dumpling only.

I came in at dinner time with my husband around 6 PM on a weeknight. The sign on their door says they close at 9:30. They refused to serve us without explanation. The girl working at the front just looked confused and wouldn t help us. There were others dining in at the time we came in. I m really interested to know how others have managed to order food from this place and what requirements had to be met. We were wearing masks. I don t understand.

Ordered delivery through their website, spent around $90. I live 8 minutes away from it, ordered at 650p, food arrived at 830p. Food was ice cold except for the soups. My mapo tofu was spilled all over inside the delivery bag. I dont know if any of the food was actually good because of how cold it was. Dont ever order delivery from this place.

Made two orders. Orange chicken and Combination fried rice. Orange chicken was dry and a little bitterness. Sitting out or reheated taste. Combination fried rice was also very dry as its been sitting out on buffet line. Rice seems like it wasnt even cooked. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this order. Definitely wasted my hard earned $24.25. Never going back..

Very dissatisfied by the quality of food. I paid 25 dollars on two meals that where both dry and unflavorful. The chicken tastes like its been left out and the rice was very dry. Keep in mind this was order over the phone and 5-10 min later received. The food tasted like its bee out for 2 hours then just reheated. I feel like I was cheated.

We had high hopes from what we heard about this place. Maybe we were there on a bad day, it was Saturday lunch. The hot and sour soup was neither. The spring rolls were mostly cabbage. The juicy dumplings were hand made and had a tasty pork filling but werent really juicy. Dont think there noodles my husband had were hand pulled and were to thick for the dish, but the beef had a good flavor. First time Ive ever had hot tea in a plastic glass and made with one tea bag, which meant if it had any flavor it was really dilute. Service was adequate. Probably wont be back.

Since we were the only non - Chinese people in the place, we had hopes it would be great. However, the hot and sour soup was neither and was bland to boot. The juicy dumplings were not at all juicy. The hand pulled noodle soups noodles were not, as far as we could tell, hand pulled. The egg rolls were almost all cabbage. And the hot tea was served in drinking glasses. All in all, we see no reason to return.

Some friends and I went to this place for lunch. It was before noon and they werent busy so fortunately we were seated right away. My friends ordered dumplings, which they said tasted very good but I didnt try any myself. It did take awhile for them to come out, though. They ordered them as an appetizer and they came out after the meal. I had the Mongolian Beef and added broccoli. It was delicious although I was disappointed at the lack of spice. It was listed as spicy on the menu but I ended up having to add a lot of the chili sauce on the table to get it to where I wanted. Overall, the food was good and I loved that they had tons of options. We will definitely be back again.

Order from here for the first time today. The presentation of the food was amazing! Got the chow mein noodles and the juicy shrimp dumplings. I was excited to try it...and the food is...very bland. For how good it looked and smelled, i expected big flavor, honestly very disappointed. For being bland food, its alright but I wont be eating here a second time. And as a side note, Ive never had Chinese shrimp dumplings with what looks like a mashed sausage pattie inside. Im sure someone likes that but eh not for me.

The woman kept peeking over my shoulder being very disrespectful. I took two pieces off my neighbor s plate, and instead of being polite, she watched me from behind my shoulder the blantly tried to call us out out loud. As if two pieces of teriyaki chicken is truly a problem, instead of getting them separately we had to buy an entire new buffet. Also, my chicken is very dry
