The place had a cozy, modern vibe, perfect for a casual night out. Jake, our server, was outstanding friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. He recommended the mango habanero, which was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the sides like pickled radishes were a great touch. Unexpected service from the employee and the manager. Got called out for breaking the parking sign . Police got called out and ask for apologies.i ask her if I should called the police and she said no it s okay not a big issue and later she called police while I was dining. This place is worst for family dine in!!! We went for anniversary dinner and got called out for breaking the parking pole which was already broken or it looks like they just stand there without any safety signs. My 4 years old daughter try to hold against it but it fall down and one of the employees came out and give us hard time saying we need to pay for it. When we check the pole it was not broken I did upload the picture. Employees asked if we are dinning there and we told them even if we were planning on, now we don t want it anymore!! Later police got involved . The employees as for apology!! Which was not a problem because in a first place we were sorry , and we said it multiple time. We ask them if we need to call police and the manager and the employee said it s okay no a problem but later when we eating kbbq next door we got called outside!! Cheese cracker chicken is really really good. We order corn tray something there was a hair in the dish. We complained and was hoping to recieve replacement or refund. The waiter was very disrespectful was arguing with us for 10 mins that this is not there hair or whatever. My hair was tied and my friend did not even touch the dish. I was disappointed the last place at this location closed, but decided to give this place a shot with my girlfriend. It was very good! The layout is awesome, the servers are super helpful, the food was very quick, serving sizes was way too much food (a good thing lol), and just a really cool place to eat. I highly suggest the combo plates, you get chicken, a side and drink for $15-17. I was unable to get close to finishing it. I would consider splitting it with someone if you arent starving and maybe a desert at the end. Give it a shot, its on par with bb.q chicken nearby.

Clearly a quick service restaurant that has been shoehorned into a sit-down. Food was fine, but pricey. You have to push a button to even order, the waitress got something wrong with our order and did not care in the least, then of course you have to tip at the end. Got 2 combos that ended up at $50+ dollars for okay food and mediocre service to sit in a fast food restaurant for an hour. Wouldnt go again.

I ve been a loyal customer of the Dallas location for years, so when I moved to North Dallas, I was thrilled to hear they opened a Carrollton location. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment after my first visit. The chicken smelled like it was cooked in old oil, and it was dry. The sweet and sour chicken lacked the usual flavorful sauce, and the taste was noticeably different from what I loved at the Dallas location. Sadly, I cannot recommend this Carrollton location based on my experience.

The chicken here is definitely top 2 of all the chicken places around here. Their chicken is so flavourful and juicy. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. Their green onion chicken is so delicious. Has a honey mustard type dressing which is amazing. And Their baked chicken is to die for. It is also crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. And the potatoes that come with it is so good. Perfectly seasoned. And to top off this delicous meal, they have tanghulu. Everytime I had it here, it was made perfectly. Not to thick, not to thin. No.1 Plus Chicken serves some of the best Korean fried chicken and wings in the Metroplex. Whatever type of chicken you get comes out piping hot and the flavors are really tasty. My favorite flavors are the Cr@ck Cheese and the Yangyum. If you like spicy food you ll want to order at the Spicy heat level or up. It goes all the way up to XXSpicy which I think is still enjoyable, but it s probably way too spicy for most other people. One thing to point out is this place is small, even when compared to the OG Ktown location. There aren t that many tables so if you re worried about getting a spot it may be best to show up outside of peak time.

This is a great place to get some quality fried chicken. My husband & I shared a platter. It s a whole chicken divided into 4 sauces - fried original, yangyum, soy, & honey garlic. We had to taste all of them, & they were all delicious! It s nice that you can choose your spice level. If you re not up to chicken (fried or baked), they have Korean bar food available. Service was pretty good as well. Will come again & definitely recommend to others.

Placed an order for pickup and the lady tells me my order should be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrive at the location in about 20 minutes and pay... she tells me it should be ready in 10 minutes. Okay great, I wait.. come back to see if my order is ready and none of the staff says anything. So I decide to come back in 5 minutes or so and they tell me itll be another 20 minute wait. I ask why? The kid doesnt give me a real answer and that they just need to make it again. No apologies, nothing. I just wasted an hour and have to make other dinner arrangements. I get mistakes happen, but there was no explanation or an apology. Just horrible service. Never again.

I ordered takeout (was prompted it would be ready in 20 min, got there in 25, 10 min drive home) and my food was cold/borderline warm and I had to reheat it before eating. Flavor was decent but my soy garlic wings weren t tossed in the sauce, it was pooled at the bottom and looked rushed. Fries were also super soft and mozzarella sticks were cold. Was disappointed for what I paid since it was a $58 take out order . It was my first time trying this spot and I usually try places twice but don t see the point when there are so many Korean fried chicken joints in the area that doesn t give cold take out. UPDATE: She reached out and apologized for not reaching out sooner. It seems a glitch happened with their bank but assured me I was not double charged. She was not combative in the slightest, and I appreciate that greatly. All I wanted was answers and she gave me that. She also apologized for the food being cold and is willing to make things right! I will give them another shot soon, especially because they have so much potential. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The food was okay, the chicken and fries werent as hot anymore because they told us it would be a 40 minute wait but never called us so we had to guess when it was ready. My main issue with this place is the fact that I went on March 31, got charged, but it was pending (even though the money had already left my account) until May 29. So they took money out of my account. I called and asked to speak with a manager about this and was told that she was not available at the time. That was fine, they took my information and she was supposed to call me. It is now June 1st and I have yet received a call. I just wanted to know why this happened, because it was a charge I wasnt expecting. Just take notes of the charges you get from this place.

Weve always loved the Royal location, but recently moved to Plano. Imagine our joy when this location opened. We used to frequent BBQ chicken when we were in the Carrollton area, but now that No. 1 is here, this has been our go to spot. The portion sizes are better (especially for my favorite dish, Rose Tteokbokki), they arent stingy with their sauces, and the flavor is always consistent. We always get the green onion chicken and the Yangyum half chicken, hits the spot every time. Not a fan of fried chicken but this spot took me by surprise! They have a baked chicken option that blew me away. The chicken came out sizzling on a bed of cabbage and onions mixed with the sauce of choice. The chicken was cooked to perfection with an even glaze amount of sauce. Tender and moist chicken and it seemed like it was a whole chicken which is insane. I loved every thing about the dish and the baked potatoes added was the perfect touch needed. I frequent the Dallas location for many years now, and they ve always been very consistent in food quality, service, and various options to choose from on their extensive menu. I never have any issues with service as it s not hard to flag them down if I need extra help with anything. Not to mention the food is always BOMB! Going back to the previous review, I was one of those girls who had to walk out due to not getting our food and we did wait for 1 hr and 30 minutes, everyone else who arrived after us had received there food. We were moved from the table we were in for no reason. At that time our waitress could have provided us with an estimate time frame to receive our food. It saddens us to think that we were forgotten as customers since you were not even aware that someone had walked out of your restaurant. As much as we hate to write a bad review for a small business, our server came to our table 3 times, we ordered onion rings, curly fries, a Dr. Pepper that never came either which is very easy to bring, chicken in #2 setting of spicy, and jalapeño peppers and it s food I will never be able to taste. Thankfully, when we got there it was a nice place, and we ordered our food like how you normally do at a restaurant! Unfortunately we left after 1 hour and 30 mins waiting to receive our food. We couldnt understand why others had gotten their food before us, and they had come in later than us. Some of them had even ordered bigger plates than us and got it first, I simply couldnt understand why it took so long as a matter a fact we were also moved from our table which was okay for awhile but the fact that they could ask us to move from our table and apologize for it, but not simply apologize for the reason our food was out yet, nor did they give us an estimate of time of how long our food would take to come out since we had been waiting for so long. Honestly, if they had just had more communication with and explained their reasons for why we got moved and why our food took ridiculously long. In conclusion our experience wasnt very delightful after waiting for our food. Im very disappointed because I thought this new place wouldve been more helpful. If giving it zero stars was an option, I would have done so, but disappointingly, its not, so I just hope your learn from your mess ups and sorry but not sorry we will not be coming here again. Very disappointed in comparison to the Dallas location. First of all if you re going to have a sign that says please wait to be seated you should at least acknowledge the people who are waiting at the door?!? I understand being busy but you can tell them it will be a wait or to seat themselves because I know you can see us standing awkwardly for 10 minutes at the front . The food itself was another story, the flavors and quality of food that came out was pretty bad. We got chicken and fries and somehow with it being busy our food came out just warm???? It was like it was pre-fried or been sitting until someone could bring it out. There seemed to only be 2 servers for a Saturday night, the girl who took our order after a fat minute after pressing the bell button disappeared and the male server ended up helping our table. I felt bad for him since he seemed to be the only one working after that. Anyway, maybe get more staff or the manager should help out and if you re too busy for being shortstaffed maybe consider refusing to take additional customers if the food and service is going to be lacking.

Im a huge fan of the Richardson location--not sure if this place has the same owner? We got the baked spicy wings, platter, green onion chicken, rose ddukbokee, fries platter, and spicy seafood soup. The flavoring was definitely different from the Richardson location...not as good . It was overall..okay. The potatoes are one of my favorite parts with the baked chicken, but the flavor was lacking. The chicken was baked perfectly, but not as spicy as Richardson location and not as flavorful. Even the rose dukkbokee, it seemed to lack something. Maybe we went on an off day? Also the fries were overcooked and seemed old.. Ill probably go back at least one more time to see if things get better, but overall, Im a little disappointed.

Went to No. 1 plus today, food was amazing! Service was also a 10/10! My new favorite Korean fried chicken spot. Definitely try their honey garlic wings and green onion chicken. So good Food

Was excited to try it as we often get BBQ Chicken around the corner. Service was good. However chicken was not as good as others in area. We had chicken and wings with fries. The chicken yangyum had little sauce and the sauce was ok at best. Was expecting more flavor and the sauce to cover the whole piece. Also the amount of radish was half of what we get at bbq. Fries were good but ketchup packages were tossed on top of fries in open container. It was worth the try but won t return.

So happy, they opened up a location in Carrollton! My favorite Korean chicken spot in DFW. This place lives up to the high standards theyve established at the other locations. The platter is a great dish to start with since it includes every specialty flavor. Every piece was flavorful, nice crispy batter, and fresh & hot. My favorite flavor is the sweet garlic, a wonderful glaze and garlic flavor make it perfect. The boneless onion chicken is amazing too - generous amounts of onion and the sauce they top it with is the best part. Also dont forget to try their tang hulu, also a hit.

HOLY MOLY. I came here because I was craving Korean fried chicken and almost went to bbq chicken nearby, thank goodness I didnt! This place was amazing! We came on the first day of soft opening and were even told we were the first customers!! The service? Incredible. Super attentive and was constantly checked on! The owner gave us a sample of the fish cake soup which was tasty. They had plenty of flavors to choose for the chicken which were DELICIOUS! Mango BBQ and Crack cheese were my favorite! They didnt have the classic Korean chicken crunch but not every place does. Nevertheless the food was super duper good! 10/10 would go back again!

This chicken is AMAZING. Whatever they put in the sauce is addictive. The service is quick and friendly; I just wish they were open for lunch on weekdays.
