Not quite what we were expecting from a place called a cafe. The specials were a decent price and reasonably tasty, but it was counter service. The interior looked like a Arbys, and it was definitely a fast food layout of bench seating with some tables with chairs.

Absolutely great breakfast Counter gentleman was amazing. Didn t push anything on me. My daughter (4) and I came in for the first time. He was super sweet to my little girl. Told her about what they have on the menu she might like and took her order directly from her. Thanks for being wholesome and serving fantastic food! Pretty decent prices also! That s a huge win! Kid-friendliness: The gentleman taking our order spoke to my daughter with love and respect. Took her order directly and made this a very enjoyable experience. I was introduced here by my mom, and I have since introduced it to friends. This place is amazing, the food is amazing, the service is amazing, the selection is amazing. If ever we cant decide where to go, the answer is always Garland Cafe. My only, very tiny nitpick is that the soda fountain drinks kind of taste of cleaning chemicals, but honestly... I see it as a bit of a good thing. Many reaturants neglect cleaning the soda fountain, but by the taste, I doubt Garland neglects it. Whenever you go in, it just feels like coming home. Quiet and cozy in all the right ways. The best hole in the wall cafe Ive been to.

The man taking our order was very patient and helpful. It was my first time there and it didn t disappoint! They have daily specials and everything is so delicious and well served! A hidden gem. This restaurant has great tasting food and quick service. The fact that you can order anything on the menu during hours of operation is impressive. The price is perfect and you get a great amount of food for the cost. The menu has items from French toast to chicken fried steaks. My family and I have ordered from here a couple of times and happy with all the different foods we have had. It has a mom and pops feel in doors. I usually call and place a order and pick it up from the drive thru window.

Echoing similar reviews here, this was an unexpectedly sensational experience. The cashier was very friendly and encouraged us to order what we wanted, and didnt let me stop him from brewing me fresh coffee, even offering some to my wife despite her not ordering it. He bantered with us for a while too! The food was great, very fresh, piping hot catfish and hash browns that could feed a football team. The portion size for the price was unbelievable for my wife and I, our mouths fell open when he brought it to the table. Thanks and when were in the area well be back!

Love the location on Rosemeade, fajita chicken salad amazing. Catfish off the wall, great catch. Just ate at the location on Buckingham, Catfish not as good as Rosemeade location, they use different breading. 3 locations, you would think a chain would have the same food, same style at each location. The chicken salad at Buckingham location is not fajita chicken as the Rosemeade location, just grilled chicken, wife was very disappointed after I bragged about the food on Rosemeade location.

If I could give negative stars I would. I had high hopes for this place and it turned out to be a huge letdown. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger with no bun. The Swiss cheese was processed Velveeta style slices. Seriously, charge an extra 50 cents and give me real cheese! The onions were mostly raw and the beef patty had zero flavor despite being fresh, not frozen. The crinkle fries were good, but they were not salted. Hubs ordered chicken fried steak. The steak was obviously a frozen patty like fast food restaurants serve. He said it had zero flavor beyond the grease. The mashed potatoes were stiff and dry and probably instant. Ditto the gravy. The roll was served straight from the plastic bag it came in. On the plus side, the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. I understand the owners are trying to keep costs low, but with so much competition in the diner space, they really need to step up their game and decide if they want to be a sit-down restaurant or a fast food place. Frankly, we have had better meals at fast food places.

Hello new followers!! My mom and I went to Garland Cafe in Carrollton today and we were not disappointed. Im not sure how long this location has been here but it is tucked away in a shopping center at the corner of Marsh and Rosemeade in Carrollton. We dined in and were surprised to see they had a little traffic inside and at the drive thru. We went in around noon on Saturday, they were quick to take our order and quick to bring our food. The food is cooked to order so be prepared to wait 10 mins or so but I didnt mind the wait. I got a double cheeseburger with bacon (I was hungry) with seasoned fries. My mom got a pancake with hash browns and bacon. The burger was big (seasoned too!) and tasted homemade. My mom said her breakfast was awesome, she actually finished her food, she usually, always has leftovers everywhere we go. Needless to say WELL BE BACK. Thanks for reading! Follow me

This restaurant was very clean. The cashier was very courteous and customer friendly. I ordered 2 catfish plates and a chicken quesadilla. The catfish fillets were large and perfectly fried. My husband loved it! My quesadilla was filled with chicken and mushrooms, Very tasty! We will return soon.

I took my family to the Garland Cafe in Carrollton. There are so many choices. The staff was helpful with suggestions. I love the feel of the atmosphere. Now my family makes it out there once a week.

It was our first time here we decided to try this place due to the good reviews on it. I have to say I was very disappointed. First it was very weird you have to get in line and place your order felt like a fast food place. We got some screamed eggs and hash browns and it has no taste at all. It was so bland felt like hospital food. I had to get packets of salt and added to my food but I was already put off. The burger did look good maybe one day we might come back and try burgers I just hope they will seasoned their fries. We will see.

The food and the price make this place amazing. Simple diner layout and local folks working behind the counter. This is a new regular breakfast spot. I saw reviews on the catfish and yes ..get the catfish!!!!
