Stayed next door at Jellystone and this place was a main draw for our stay. One day 2 of the six ish water slides were closed. Not a big deal. The next day all of the pool areas over 3 feet deep and the lazy river was closed. Not great. What are we supposed to do when one kids wants to go swimming/ in the lazy river and the other likes the slides. Overall pretty disappointing. All this due to staffing. If you cant open the whole park on Labor Day weekend due to staffing maybe shut it down a few weekends earlier.

We went at 4 to 6 my first time it was fun I couldnt go down the slides because of back issues but it didnt stop my grandkids from having lots of fun.i enjoyed watching everyone going down the slides. O could do the other parts of the park .I thought 10 dollars was toooo steep to rent a locker we wont do that part again . The gift shoppe was kinda low but very very affordable. We will come back . It was fun lots of people having birthday parties . Its not new but was very clean .

We had a great time at the park until I got hurt. I had a minor injury from the slides and was told to go to medical. Thats where things took a turn for the worst. Medical is in a place where you go up and down stairs. Coming down was the problem. Stairs were wet, of course, and I fell, bruising and cutting my toe. Medical team was absolutely awesome though..

We experienced a parent s worst fear today. The boys and I went to Pirates Cove Fun Zone and had an awesome day of meeting new friends and having fun. Around 3 o clock Braxton and I are ready to go so we waited for about 15 minutes for Maddox to come back around the lazy river once those 15 minutes past and we did not see him I had Braxton gather our belongings and go sit at the front gate while I walked around the park for another 10 minutes that seemed like an eternity. The moment I walked up to Isabel at the front gate and explained to her that it s been 20 minutes and I couldn t find my kid. She immediately got up and had all hands on deck! I gave Maddox s description and name to every staff member as we all scoured that park looking for him. They closed the gates and held patrons there not entering or leaving. At 3:40 PM, I asked for the cops to be called. About 10 minutes later I was on the phone with dispatch and I see Aiden, one of the staff members, running towards me pointing behind me. They found Maddox! I have never in all of my life had my chest hurt so bad thinking that I was never going to see my kid again. Thank you to every single staff member at Pirates Cove for not giving up. I apologize to all of the patrons who were not allowed in or out for that hour thank you for being understanding because I know you would ve want the same thing done for your child

Kids had a blast until my husband and our friend was injured on the tunnel ride. Said he felt like the person leading the ride was in a rush. They no sooner sat down and he let go. My husband got launched off the tube and into the tunnel causing an injury to his eye and collar bone. Workers need to slow down and make sure everyone is situated before they let go. Im just glad it wasnt my children that had wanted to go down that same ride

The water park itself is nice. Has quite a bit for kids to do. The staff however needs to be retrained and all be on the same page. Having a child that is literally right below the height requirement is challenging. There were a fee members of the staff that allowed us to ride the slides with our son since he was slightly below the mark. Then to have another one say no he cant ride is hard. Our son is 5 and didnt understand why he could go down the slide a few times, and then not be allowed. I know the employees are all teenagers and most will not follow the rules, but would be nice if everyone did things the same way.

MUCH better than Hurricane Harbor in a variety of ways - theres much more shade, lifeguards and employees show a willingness to interact with everyone, much better customer service, more rides for kids, parents are allowed to ride with little ones that might be scared on all but the biggest slides (which makes sense - those big slides here are FAST). All in all much better support for littles. Parents cant ride with young kids on any of the slides in Hurricane Harbor that I can recall. The size also feels more manageable for a family with kiddos - hurricane harbor has a lot more walking distance, and its frankly hard to keep track of kids there. If a kid runs off here, its a lot easier to find them. Waters not too deep - the deepest Ive found was 4 feet. If I want bigger, crazier rides with much deeper water, Id go to Hurricane Harbor. But for the sense of safety that it brings to me and my family, I will gladly put my money into this park. Absolutely awesome to play with my kids here.

We had an amazing experience. You can tell that the staff cares and does their best to give families a good experience. We came a bit before opening and had a bit of a wait at first (mostly because of season pass holders, like ourselves, who were getting their pirates bracelets set up), but staff intervened and helped everyone get into the park quickly. There are LOTS of shaded spots especially in areas where there are long wait times. Lots of seating but would recommend renting a cabana if youre spending a bit of time there. This place is perfect for families with kids probably 14 years and younger and parents. We were grateful that there are many areas that are much safer/fantastic for littles than other water parks. There are a high number of life guards attending and its easier to keep an eye on multiple kids at the same time here. As with most places, I recommend coming early or avoiding peak times to get the best experience with: staff, parking (which is limited), crowding, and seating. We are happy that this will be our water park this summer. :)

Nothing about this place is huge but that s not a determining factor in my review, it stands on its own as an awesome pirate pool day. One of the more affordable options if you are looking at a season pass.

I had high hopes for our planned birthday party at Texas Jolly Stone Pirate Cove, but unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of a disaster. Months in advance, we had made a reservation and paid a deposit for 5 pizzas to feed our hungry guests and kids. However, when we arrived at the Cove, things took a turn for the worse. Upon our arrival, we were informed that our pizza order wasnt ready and that we would have to wait until 1 pm for our lunch. Understandably, our guests and especially the kids were starving, so we had to spend additional money to purchase fries and nachos to hold them over. 1 pm finally rolled around, and to our dismay, we were only given 2 out of the 5 pizzas we had ordered. When we approached the manager to inquire about the missing pizzas, her response was nothing short of disappointing. She simply apologized and informed us that we would have to wait an additional 30 minutes to receive the remaining 3 pizzas. What truly made this experience unacceptable was the complete lack of communication throughout the entire process. There were no proactive updates on the status of our order, and when we asked for alternative solutions, the manager offered none. She simply told us to wait and explained that they were extremely busy, leaving us with no other options. This entire experience was a letdown, to say the least. Planning a birthday party should be a joyous occasion, but our visit to Texas Jolly Stone Pirate Cove left us frustrated, hungry, and disappointed. I hope that the management of this establishment takes our feedback seriously and works on improving their service, communication, and overall customer experience in the future.

The place was fun and enjoyable. Lots to do for little ones and big kids alike. However, the no cooler/outside food policy is absurd. My son has tons of food allergies (gluten, dairy, soy, corn, oats, etc) and there is literally NOTHING there that he can safely consume. Since we had no choice due to their ridiculous policy, we gave it a shot offering him food from their over priced Cafe area. After all, we cant spend all day there and starve our child. Fair enough...reactions and rashes. This place could get a 5 star rating from us, but because they dont make allowances for food allergies, they just get 2.

My recommendation would be to reserve a cabana. Compared to other places they are extremely cheap, only 25$! My only complaint? While you can bring drinks in, you cant bring them in a cooler. Food is definitely not allowed in and their food is very overpriced. We really enjoyed our vacation here. We celebrated our 3rd year anniversary with our kids and it didnt disappoint. Just some advice, if you plan on spending the day on a Saturday at the waterpark, be sure to reserve a cabana on Thursday. It gets packed and sold out quickly. Cabanas are 30 during weekdays and 40 on weekends but u get it for the whole day. Well worth it in the summer heat. Be ready to walk alot of steps if you plan on going down the waterslides. Tuesday and Sunday night is night slides from 830-10 pm for campers. It was alot of fun going down the slides in the dark. Plenty of lifeguards seem to do their job pretty well. They keep the horseplay to. Minimal to prevent kids from getting hurt. Awsome place.

People were walking in there with bare feet then going into the water again, no area for showers/rinse off. They mentioned you can exit the park for lunch and sit at the picnic tables to eat, but I didn t see any spots to sit for lunch besides in your car. Fun for the day, but a heads up on these things. They had water jugs to fill up yeti cups. Lots of water slides and a lazy river where you rent the tubes.

Park was not overly crowded. Life guards were attentive to my 6 year old who doesnt swim well. He was allowed on the large slides, as a life guard from top would communicate with life guard at bottom to be looking for him as he came down and offered help to the exit.

My daughter and grand daughter have gone several times past couple years but this will be the last year, for some reason there is always a lot of Bees ans Wasp my grand daughter 6 yrs old is very allergic and is now at the hospital for being stung this past Friday they have advised staff but they dont care and every year Bees and Wasp are every where, maybe this time we should take them to court ans send them hospital bills and pray nothing worse happens to my grand daughter, Do better for your customer they spent over $140.00 just for two people so sad they dont care

Awesome mid-size water park with things to do for all ages. Price was great also (military discount 50%). Plenty of free covered seating areas and rental cabanas. Snackbar and lockers for rent. When I come back to the area all visit again.

We went here 2 weeks ago and the water was nasty and full of bugs , than on some of the slides some of the lifeguards would let my two youngest down one of the slides but 5 mins later they wouldn t let them which they were tall enough for both .. my kids ended up gettin ringworm from the lack of the cleanish water kinda disappointed cause we go there a lot

Great place for kids.... Really wish theyd put a coating on the cement surrounding the water areas... Texas summer makes that cement so hot itll blister your feet... No reason not to be able to walk comfortable, especially kids without scorching their feet. Love this place though!

Everything was amazing for the most part. However the lifeguards need some training on hospitality. Wont mention any names but one completely ignored my niece so she could talk to her friends about her boyfriend. Manager handled it but it was very unprofessional of her. That and the flies were really bad in the pirate ship cabins and on the porch. Other than that it was a great experience!!! Would definitely recommend.

Similar to NRH2O but half the size. The lazy river connects to everything making it easier to transition between areas. There are misters along the safety ropes spraying cold water to keep peoples feet from burning. Unfortunately for those of us that like miniature tsunamis there is no wave pool. Overall its a fun family friendly place.

Very good value, not a huge water park, but quality rides and customer service, we always have a blast! Prices on everything are very reasonable.

A bit pricey, but they have mid-size slides that are perfect for mid-size kids! And theyre nicely spaced out from the big water slides. Loved the number and placement of life guards too. Bring a lock for the lockers. And arrive early to get parking.

Very fun water park for kids and adults. Lines were not terrible and I appreciate the small water lines they have set up on the lines for slides since you cant wear footwear so your feet dont burn. 5 stars because there isnt a true deep pool or wave pool.

It was great! So much fun! The lazy pool was a little crowded, but it is summer after all... a couple kids stole the floaty I rented and the lifeguard didnt stop them, so that was $5 gone, but it was otherwise a blast!
