I enjoyed this trail, the only complaint I would have is the smell on the north loop and how they list some of the easier trails. I didnt have an issue but my girlfriend didnt find the ratings to match the trail difficult description Parking: The parking is plentiful Fees: No cost

This is my home trail and Ive ridden it so many times. Its safe, and the parking is good. Even when the ball fields are all going there are usually parking spots next to the Northside entrance. Chissenhall is a great workout trail ... no huge elevation changes, no majorly difficult sections, just nice zooming single-track through trees. The one more challenging section (wrecked/three amigos) is very easily bypassed and marked at the bypass point. If youre a mountain biking newbie this is a great place to build fitness and skills. I crashed so many times in my first months of mountain biking here, no injuries, just bruises and scrapes. Even though I can do hard stuff, I still love Chissenhall because you can keep a fast pace through the whole ride and have a great workout. There are several variations to ride, ranging from 2, 6, 8, and 11 miles depending on what combo you do. The Burleson MTB page on Facebook has announcements about current goings on. There is an awesome team of volunteers who maintain the trails. Toilets: If games are going on at the ballfields the good restrooms are open. Occasionally they are open when theres no ball field activity (I kind of get the impression this might be because someone occasionally forgets to lock them, but i hope they will consider just leaving them open. Otherwise there are two portapoties, which are generally in a good state. I think most MTB people tinkle behind shrubbery on the trail since the good restrooms are closed most of the time. Dog-friendliness: I often see dogs on the trail while Im biking, and if I had a dog would take it there. If your dog is not under absolute voice control with a solid recall response, please have your dog on a leash. I believe there are leash laws in the region, but be aware that there are zooming mountain bikers on the trails and your dog should not jump at them and attack them, or get scared and stand in the way. If you are walking your dog please go opposite the bike traffic (trails are marked), so you have ample time to see and hear them comijt, and step aside and have your dog step aside for mountain bikers passing.

Skipped the trail for years thinking it wouldn t offer a whole lot. Finally rode it and regretted not riding sooner. Solid variety and a lot of fun. Mostly shaded ride so can even ride in the middle of the day. Loved it.

Spring has sprung, time to get outside and hit the trails! Plenty of trails for biking, hiking, walking, or just grabbing some fresh air. So what are you doing still mall walking or kicking it to jazzercise? Get outside today. This place also makes a great destination for family outings. There are tables or grassy areas for picnics, wildlife all around you, and even some bathrooms on site in case that ever-annoying emergency comes up. So thankful, while in town, to find an outdoor adventure that clearly was well thought out. Nicely done Burleson.

Really great trails, mostly beginners and amateurs but theres a couple trails that Id say are expert level. Theyre all well kept and well marked. Definitely check them out if youve never been.

This trail was a lot of fun. A lot more than I expected. It was a little confusing at the Hub but really easy once we figured it out.
