The BBQ was awesome and the service was great. The entrance and food line was a bit confusing, but once we figured it out we were good. The BBQ sauce is the best around. This is definitely our go to spot. You eat at tables like picnic tables like from high school, not very comfortable but they may have different seating, we didnt have time to check out if there was different seating. The BBQ was worth it!

Great BBQ, food and service . But would be nice to have complementary ice-cream like Roy Hutchins Barbecue . Also would be nice to have some table and seats arranged for 2 or 4 people sitting, most tables are large family or group seating. Food

After many, many visits to other locations, this was my first really disappointing one. The rib had no flavor and were very tough. I have told people that the Stephenville ribs are the best I have ever had (many times) - these were not even in the same league! And the pricing is getting out of hand.

We had chopped brisket sandwiches and a side each. I would give 5 stars for the sides and would give 5 for the sandwiches for taste; however, one of the sandwiches had enough gristle to make the experience disappointing. This wont prevent us from returning, though.

This is one of the best places I ve eaten at thus far. I had the 16oz ribeye cooked Medium and it was cooked to perfection no sauce needed! Brisket was smoked just right, it was tender with just enough fat and the bacon wrapped shrimp was to die for. Service was welcoming and warm.. we got there close to closing time and we never felt that we were being pushed out or rushed. Sat at the bar with Blake, he was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Thank you Blake for the great service and suggestions on the food to try will definitely go back to try the chicken with butter, garlic and lemon sauce along with jalapeño sausage. A must try

I had the brisket and an 8oz sirloin. Man, that steak was cooked just right. It was tender and delicious! The brisket was tender, and the sides were delicious. The fried okra were incredible!! The only problem is that I dont eat pork and they didnt change cutlery to cut the brisket. I paid for it later.

The food was delicious and we all loved it. We didnt have any problem getting our hands dirty cus it was so good. The chickens was so soft you didnt have to chew it and everything just fell of the bone! Beans, macaroni, potato salad, was delicious. The peach cobbler was also very good. We came hungry and left fuller than a tick! We will definitely be coming back! Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful first experience!

Hard Eight BBQ is one of the top BBQ spots in Texas. The brisket is perfectly smoked, the ribs are exceptionally tender and flavorful. The bacon-wrapped chicken is mouthwatering, and the fried okra is the best I ve ever had super crunchy and fresh. The free beans by the bar make a great side. The tea is consistently good, the baked sweet potato is always a great choice, and the corn is excellent. I also love the chicken jalapeno poppers. There s ample parking, the Texas decor is charming and inviting, and the restrooms are clean. The T-shirts for sale make great souvenirs. The servers are friendly and always smiling. I highly recommend this place if youre looking for authentic Texas BBQ.

We went through the wrong entrance..dont go through the takeout door. You will first come to the meat area where there is a sign that explains how it works. You order meat, sweet or regular baked potato, and corn. They hand you your food and a ticket. You go into the door where there are options for bread, salads, desserts, soda, etc. You pay for this and find a seat. If you want a margarita, beer, or mixed frozen coke and whiskey. Self serve area offers beans which is tasty.

I was only able to make one sandwich from the half pound of brisket. The guy cutting the meat stood in front me so that i couldnt see the actual weight, he just printed the ticke and placed it on the tray. I weighed the food when I got home and the total weight was only 12 ounces. Too expensive for the small amount of meat!

Brought my family here for my fiancé birthday. We came about 7:30pm, first the set up is weird. You have to stand where they slice the meat then go inside the restaurant to sit. The customer service approach was very dry. Nobody was really speaking to us as we came in. After ordering sausage, brisket, etc... the meat was very cold. We had to use spicy bbq sauce and jalapeño just to have some kind of heat. The soda taste like carbonated water. Just a complete disappointment for our first visit which weve been excited to try this place for a long time but, we wont be coming back.

I don t usually leave reviews but this review is deserved. This was the first time we ve been to Hard Eight and it s unfortunate that I have to say this BBQ restaurant is a hard pass for us. We ordered the pork ribs, brisket and both the spicy and non spicy sausage. Everything looked and smelled amazing but looks and smells can be deceiving. We ordered our meat then picked our sides which were potato salad, onion rings, french fries and complementary beans. We sat down to eat and realized all of our meats were cold but we didn t complain we were hungry and didn t want to have to go back through the line. As we tried each meat it became apparent that this chain is only concerned with flavor and not cook quality at all. The ribs were so tough you could barely get the meat off the bone, somehow the sausage was dry but even with the brisket being stone cold it was very tender. The flavor was spot on but fighting to chew your food is a definite no no when it comes to good bbq. The French fries were decent, the potato salad was eh, the onion rings had a strange tasting batter on them but the beans were ok. They have two choices for bbq sauce spicy, which was so full of vinegar that s all we could taste, and regular which was ok but not impressive. The employees are very friendly and the price is fair had the food been better. We made quite a drive to try it out and were pretty upset it was such a disappointment.

If you like aged tin roofs, smells that will make you float off the floor, and UNREAL bbq this is the place. Sirloin and pork ribs were my fav meats. The banana pudding, fried okra, sweet potato fries, and Mac and cheese were some of the best BBQ sides Ive had. Just a word of caution, the tp can be used as 80 grit on any of the rustic wooden decor pieces.

My top place in the Fort Worth area for BBQ. The brisket is well smoked, the ribs super tender and full of flavor. The Bacon wrapped shrimp is delicious and the fried okra is the best I ve ever had. It s super crunchy and fresh. The Free beans by the bar are good as a side. The tea is always good and the variety at the bar for Margaritas. Wish they had a mango margarita or Guinness on tap. Baked potato is always a great choice to get as a side. Plenty of parking, TX decor and clean restroom. They have an upstairs area and outdoor to the side. As you exit loved the sign that says The way out. And the T shirts for sale are a great souvenir to get. Overall love this place a part from Hutchins in Frisco and Trophy club.

Ordered 1.5lbs of brisket (24oz) only got 22.5oz with the paper. I didnt get what I paid for. Side of Mac n cheese is 3.5 Oz for the money its sooooo not worth it. Food is Luke warm. Brisket dry with no smoke ring. Terrible experience.
