We go there often every time we go they get our order wrong. They act like youre wrong and theyre right. But the atmosphere is very quiet do you like to go places and just have some quietness. I have one large TV and no AC. Also different employees every time we go in there.

We ve never heard of this place we just randomly decided to try it. We read the sign try our award winning salsa so I ordered the red. Award winning must mean we bought jar salsa from the store . We ordered the horchata and it was clear.. we asked them for a different drink and the lady told us she would remake it because she accidentally added too much water since horchata is too strong for most people gave it back to us and still nasty.. basically vanilla water. We ordered the beef fajita salad with the chipotle ranch and I could only take 3 bites of it. We also ordered the taco dinner and it was alright. Someone on here said if you like taco bell you ll like this, which is probably true since it s low quality. The employees were very nice though.

It was very nasty and cold a teaspoon of chilli on a lot on a lot of corn chips the taco bowl didnt have all what I ask for It was bad as bad can get.And I ask for my money back no one never sent it Im going to call again to get my money back it was bad and also bad business and I paid by credit card.

I was randomly reminded of this place after having left texas for a few years. Their green sauce is the best. Seems to be a lot of tomatillo and habanero. Their regular chalupa/tostada slathered with a good serving of the sauce is the best tex mex. Very affordable too

Ordered crispy tacos and a Frito burrito at the drive-thru window. Burrito was bigger than expected. it was filled with chili, Fritos, onions, cheese, and sour cream. I liked the chili. Very tasty. Tacos beat taco casa or taco bell easily. The taco shells have a good flavor and crunch. Taco meat was seasoned well. Good Mexican fast food restaurant. I like that its locally owned too. Im coming back and ordering that burrito again!

Ive been coming here off and on for decades and am so glad its still open. Recently went and ordered a few tacos, hardshell , refried beans and rice to go.Food is still delicious for fast food and fresh. The young lady who waited on us very polite. I was in a hurry but wish I could have dined in. Sure the prices are higher but hell everyones price are. Same location, greeted with a smile. Appreciate the great service.

I recently visited Pepes for the first time in 40+ years. After seeing Pepes campaign asking folks to support our local businesses including Pepes our group of four stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. They are in the same location and building. Nothing fancy. The building is colorful and the dining room is not huge. We enjoyed the corner booth by the window. Two of us ordered the beef enchilada dinner and two ordered burritos. Everyone was surprised at how delicious the food was. The dinners were large enough for two meals. Seriously, the food was delicious.

Heard about this place and how they were struggling so went to try and support local. Unfortunately we will not be going back. This was our first time and wow, to say we were disappointed is an understatement. Upon entering I would love to say that we were greeted, but we were in fact not, the girl actually seemed irritated that we walked in and that she had to interact with us. Again not ever having been there we were unsure of the ordering process but the girl assumed that we knew exactly what to do and she literally didnt say a word, so we had to explain to her that this was our first time and we needed a minute to look at the menu and some direction. To her benefit once we did explain that we were first-timers she did kind of open up a little bit more and was more helpful. Now to the food. I had the Pepe deluxe meal that came with a taco, cheese enchilada, beans, queso, and guacamole which was approx $12. My husband had the steak fajita dinner that had 2 tacos, rice and beans at approx $14 and both meals came with a little baggie of chips. Total cost was $30. Ill start with my husbands steak fajita tacos. The meat was literally gray, and my husband described it as worse than frozen in the bag meat youd buy from the grocery store, he compared it to a TV dinner meat. My husband did not finish his food which is not a thing that happens lol. My food was literally not even recognizable as cheese enchiladas because everything was so smothered in chili sauce and they put my pinto beans in the same compartment as them so the bean juice and chili blended together and just disintegrated what was supposed to be enchiladas. Oh, thats another thing I should mention, everything is served as if youre ordering to go. The queso and guacamole both came in little tiny to go containers for condiments and the meal is served in a styrofoam to go container with the traditional 3 compartments, 1 large and two small compartments. I did not even eat my queso. Again this is unheard of. I love queso. I repeat I love queso and I did not eat what was given to me as queso. It definitely had a Velveeta and rotel-esque feel to it but honestly the cheese was not even as good as Velveeta. The texture was kind of gritty and separated and Im sorry to say I just literally could not eat it because it tasted like milky tomatoes. Even the chips we received in our bags were stale. The guacamole was actually good, the rice was not. My taco, again not good. The ground beef in it literally had no flavor and seemed to just be existing. We took a few bites of each thing And that was all we could stomach. We threw everything away and then we left. If youre looking for fast and quick to-go chili cheese nachos or chili cheese anything this is the place for you, anything other than that I would not recommend, especially as a dining in experience. Editing* after reading reviews I probably wouldnt have visited because it seems any honest review is met with a defensive attitude by Kip who says he is the owner, so Im sure Ill be getting a reply, but again I was trying to venture out and help support local business.

Usually I like eating here cuz its good food. This time I stood at the counter for about 10 to 15 minutes the girl behind the counter looked at me 2 to 3 times and never once attempted to take my order. I heard rumors that this place was going to close down (which I hope is just that, a rumor) dont know when but with this type of customer service I believe it wont take long. I have done food service for 31 years and I would never treat my customers the way I got treated today. Sorry kip, however, when your customer gets bad or no service, I believe the owner should know.

This was my first time coming here. Everything was great, from the food to the people, all around great. Only issue I had is I told the guy taking my order at least 5 times that I do not want any beans. Im not allergic or anything just not a big fan of beans. I got my food and saw double rice on my plate so I was like awesome, no beans. I bite into my steak fajita taco and there is beans on it. I found it after taking a bite. Now I hate sending food back and I understand that food is made a certain way for the flavor profile, I work in the food industry, so I eat my taco. Not a bad taco it just had beans on it. No issues with the food it was delicious but I dont like beans. Lol

The employees were fantastic. They were dealing with their POS system going down. They took our order long hand and served us. We left a $20.00 bill to cover our meal while we ate. They brought us way too much change. We pointed out to them, and they said they did not charge us for some of the items because of the problem. Their prices are low already. We added up our order and took them the difference plus a tip for their hard work. We highly suggest this establishment. It is not fancy or high-priced. It is just decent food, great service and inexpensive.

I have been a part of this restaurant since I was in high school in the 80s. When I recently dined with friends we found out that the staff were unable to make items off the menu per specification. I truly I hope that things work out because I have always been a fan of the Martin family legacy. But when I ate with friends The one thing that they are famous for was screwed up. The queso. The cheese was broken in the sauce. Im sorry and I hope that they are remedy this quickly because this has been one of my all-time favorites for decades!

Today is August 18th, 2023. Whomever was working this morning from 755-810am does not want this establishment to succeed. I ordered 3 breakfast tacos, and in this 15 mins, I lost all respect for the location. 1st, there was no menu in the drive through. 2nd, when I got to the window and ASKED if they had breakfast burritos, the guys asked if I wanted regular. He asked as if I knew what that meant and would just agree to it. 3rd, I asked for 2 sausage and 1 bacon breakfast tacos. Then, he closed the window and walked back into the kitchen to never return. I just left after another 13 minutes. I lost more in missed wages than I would have spent at this place, and there was no respect for another persons time. I have lived in the area for 7 years, and I have been patient, but 15 minutes for 3 tacos? Nah, fam. Not this guy.

If youre looking for anything remotely authentic this is not the place. From the store bought tortillas to the cheaper nacho cheese, this place screams Mexican-like fast food. For the price you pay, youre better off going to Don Chente. Heck, Id go to Chuys for better tasting food. If you are just looking for a slightly better tasting and more expensive Taco Bell, this is your place. I will say though, their service is super nice. They definitely add positivity to the restaurant atmosphere. Beats arguing with a Taco Bell employee over an order of nachos.

Pepe s has incredible breakfast tacos that are made with fresh tortillas and queso. They are have a selection of freshly made desert burritos with either apple (covered in cinnamon sugar), lemon, or cherry (covered in powdered sugar).

My stomach has been cramping the whole day. Got the fajita burrito and 3 tacos. The steak fajitas were dry almost like Jerky and the tacos were good but nothing special. Honestly tacos bell is a better bet then this place.

Love this place-appreciate that after all these years they still dont water down their queso! Every other place in towns queso seems to get thinner and watery each visit but not Pepes! Their food has been consistently delicious each visit! Highly recommend this place for fast, cheap, and above all else- high quality Mexican food.
