I was feeling homesick and had to get my Frittella fix. Thankfully they deliver! Had my favorites mailed to me in Colorado. Fair price and fast shipping. My shipment arrived perfectly. Everything was packaged neatly and arrived still frozen. I baked off the lasagna today. Perfection. Just like I remembered. I can t wait to dig in to my cheesecake! Thank you Frittella! Love you guys

Went to dinner with a large group of Aggie moms. The food was very good considering the size of our group. There was a lot of food too, bread sticks with a spinach dip, bruschetta, salad, main course and dessert. Our server was very good too, handling so many orders.

Whenever my wife and I visit our sons down in College Station, I make the attempt to stop at Frittella just as a reminder of living in Brindisi as a young man. I was disheartened when I heard you had closed the doors a while back but now I see you have reopened we might have to make another 4 hour drive down just for a good meal and then visit our sons !!!

Please believe me when I tell you this food is awful. Absolutely the worst restaurant food Ive ever had. Frozen pizza is better than what they served us. Also, lasagna was just like a weird consistency and just not good. We spent $52 with the tip and I left feeling very unhappy I just wasted that amount of money on terrible food. Service wasnt even good.

So I had issues ordering online, which has never happened to me before! After a couple attempts, I called the restaurant. I explained to the wonderful young lady I spoke with the issue I was having. Next thing I know the owner is on the line. I explained to him and asked if they still delivered, to which he replied, absolutely. He proceeded to take my order and said I would have it in 15 minutes bc he was personally going to bring it to me! Well you can imagine what happened next. He personally delivered it to me in 15 minutes! INCREDIBLE!!! NOW I cant say hell ALWAYS be available to do that, but I have NEVER had CUSTOMER SERVICE experience to that level before! From the time I called, they took my order, prepared my order (house salad, spagetti with meat sause) delivered it and I finished eating was 1 hour. INCREDIBLE!!! As though I was in the restaurant! This is just 1 MORE reason Frittella Italian cafe is my favorite restaurant in BCS! Keep up the AMAZING work you guys do day in, day out and Ill continue to spread the word!!! Thanks again for making me feel like a KING,as always!!!

I was so excited to hear about the reopening of one of my favorite restaurants - and let me tell you, the new owners did not disappoint! The food is delicious, their breadsticks are chefs kiss, dip them in alfredo sauce. Their beef cannelloni was my go-to for the longest time, until I tried the build your own fritella. Their pizzas are great too if you love thin crust. I personally preferred when you ordered at the front and then chose a place to sit, but Im sure Im in the minority there. The owners are super nice and Ive enjoyed the waitstaff as well. Definitely a must try!

I just HAD to give a review of this place after eating here tonight. If I could give above 5 stars I would because the service and the food out did any expectations I could have of the food. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place because we were looking for a decently priced Italian spot that was a small business that we could try out. Walking in I could tell this would be amazing just because of the small cozy vibe this place gave. I decided to order the lasagna/cannelloni and my boyfriend ordered the chicken Alfredo. The moment I tasted my dish I knew I had just found my new favorite local spot and my boyfriend raved about how this was the best homemade pasta he s ever had. Also if it is any constellation to anyone my boyfriend is not a red sauce fan at all (even gets white sauce on pizza) and was raving about their house made marinara sauce (which I cannot recommend ENOUGH). Ryan, our server, was great and very welcoming. We also got to meet Tracy, who will now be seeing us every week, and he was such a pleasure to talk to and I am so glad he took over this restaurant with his welcoming personality. Now for the real important part, dessert, Tracy told us to try the cheesecake (and after the amazing food we knew to trust him) and man oh man this was AMAZING!!! Rich in flavor but still nice and light. I hope everyone comes and sees how amazing this place is and I will recommended it to anyone and everyone.

Quite unimpressed. Came here for lunch and ordered the breadsticks and alfredo for an appetizer. Don t expect to get traditional breadsticks. They re essentially puff pastry. Very weird. The alfredo left A LOT to be desired. It was just pure cream and butter. No salt. No cheese. No pepper. I saw that in the previous review, the manager said that you should season your alfredo to taste. I don t agree. A good restaurant should season their own food. Plus the provided parmesan in the shaker was so weak in flavor it added zero flavor to the pasta (so seasoning to taste isn t even possible). Disappointing experience. The service was great, but the food was terribly mediocre (at best).

A nice little restaurant with a very laid back feel. The service we had was attentive I have no complaints there. However, I wasn t a big fan of some of the food we ordered. The breadsticks were a bit odd in my opinion. I am used to the dense, bready breadsticks you may find at a popular Italian chain. These breadsticks were hollow, greasy, and tasted of oil. Not at all the style I m used to. The Alfredo sauce I tried was not super flavorful, tasted mostly of cream, and I didn t taste strong notes of Parmesan. I ordered the Beef Cannelloni, and it was solid I have no complaints there. Overall, the restaurant is clearly run by some good people but some of the food definitely needs improvement.

Editing to 5 stars because of the response from the owner. Originally I gave an overall rating of 4 stars because the atmosphere. But, I feel like I should to elaborate more this business. One of the cool and uniquely Bryan Texas features you can see are on the walls. They used the salvaged tops from the columns of the Carnegie Library in downtown Bryan. Another thing I liked is this building used to be known as the backwards Taco Bell or the Aggie engineered Taco Bell for those of us who grew up here in the 1980s called it. Does anyone remember having to make sure to take someone with you because of the drive through window? After ordering you had to reach out across the passengers seat to pay. Lol! . And finally my number one reason for editing my original rating is the wonderful response I got from the owner of Frittella. We really enjoyed our meal. And cant wait to come back for more. When you are hungry for truly great Italian food, EAT HERE! Seriously, guys this place has the best home made, locally sourced, Italian food in the BCS area & To the owners- Thank you for responding to my review & hope yall dont remove the column tops remodeling.

I ordered the Lasagna and Cannelloni combo from here for delivery through a 3rd party app on a whim, and I was shocked when I took my first bite at just how pleasing the flavor and texture of the lasagna were. The cannelloni was no different. I only put my fork down to tear off a piece of bread to dip in the creamy cheese and sauce combo. This is my new go to for Italian food, for sure.

Charming atmosphere. The restaurant and its decor takes you back to old town Italy. The patio seating was quiet and intimate. Overall, great atmosphere. We ordered the meatballs for the appetizer, manicotti and shrimp scampi for the entrees. First, the meatballs lacked seasoning, it falls apart at the touch. The marinara sauce that goes with it is watery and very bland. Second, the manicotti was bland, desperately needed some flavors and watery. The presentation of the manicotti was off and off-putting. Third, I have never seen shrimp scampi cooked with sweet marinara sauce. You can still taste the wine and the pasta and shrimp lacked seasoning. The presentation looks sloppy and looks like it was thrown together. Service was horrific. The server NEVER stopped by our table after taking our order. In addition, nobody ever came to refill our drinks. The server was more concerned about a bigger table than the table with just two guests that were in her section. We could visibly and within earshot hear other servers talking negatively about other guests. They were more concerned about leaving on time versus serving guests. In addition, the bartender lied to a guest about the type of alcohol they had on the shelf and the guest came up to the bar and pointed it out. Overall, it was a terrible experience, terrible food, service and professionalism. We will not be coming back and we caution other guests who patrons this restaurant to be careful in regards to servers being unprofessional and being spoken about in front of other guests.

Tried this place for the first time today. Great possibility of not returning. Ravioli fritta was the best thing out of all things we ordered although it tasted similar to pizza rolls just doused it sauce .. I got the chicken piccata no mushroom- chicken was so tough I couldn t eat it(manager comped it so no biggie, I shared my daughter s food!) Little one just had plane pasta with marinara, - no sure why but it seemed as if we were eating spaghetti noodles with tomatoe soup? Soooo sweet to taste! Wierd! My husband - he got chicken fettuccine Alfredo, that he had to season to his liking? Very unsure of that and would have been good to know as he was ordering it not as he was being served it, He put pepper salt and parm but just tasted so bland no matter the amount , which was upsetting. Our waiter Mia , she was nice but we had to ask for refills instead of it being noticed.. and even then only I got one and hubby didn t. The place was so quiet im sure kitchen people heard our convos since we could surely hear there s. No sure if this is a place we would return too, definitely was not worth the money we spent.

Im sorry to say that wat was one of my favorite places to eat is no longer a choice for me. Since reopening they have struggled to figure out who they are. Servers no servers order at the counter to now being set by a host/hostess. I went for lunch on Saturday and there were 2 cars in the parking lot. Walked in and was greated by a host. He looked at us and then down at his seating chart then back at us. I looked to my left to see there were two tables dinning. He looks bask down and ask if we had a preference... after responding he says one moment and then enters some information into a computer or something. We are finally seated and handed a menu. There are two guys talking rather loudly where you used to place your order. After about 30 to 40 seconds of listening to them I was about to ask if they could come and acknowledge us. Before I could do so, one of them used the F-word rather loudly. I turned to him and said that I didnt come here to be forced to listen to his vulger conversation. He did not say anything. I asked him who has ruined this restaurant. No response so we left without eating. This was my favorite place to have pizza. I wont be back.

Hostess walked up to the counter where we were waiting and didn t even acknowledge our presence. Looked at her book for a minute then walked off without a word. Came back a few minutes later and asked if we had a reservation. Place is half empty and she s apparently concerned about fitting us in. Never cracked a smile. Never said hi or welcome or anything remotely friendly. Sat us by the bar. Our chicken dishes were both so overcooked the chicken was rubbery. It didn t taste bad but certainly wasn t anything you should serve a customer. No veggies or breadsticks with the meal. Maybe meal is little presumptuous a piece of chicken with a watery sauce on the plate and a little bowl of supposedly fresh spaghetti on the side. On a more positive note the young lady who waited on us was attentive and friendly. Including a decent tip for her service we paid $40 for two plates of rubber chicken and two glasses of water. Not exactly a stellar experience. Dietary restrictions: On the dietary front they offer a gluten free pizza but it is made on the same counter by the same hands as the other pizza and cooked in the same oven. We saw that upfront and knew right then that this wasn t really a celiac option.

The hostess assigned my party of 3 to a waitress name Rosa. Rosa did not acknowledged or seat us at all after the hostess noticed we were still waiting she apologized and went back to Rosa informing her again that we needed to be seated, at that point Rosa flat out said no. After a few minutes a waiter name David finally came over, apologized and got us seated. The food was not seasoned whatsoever neither was the pasta. The complimentary bread was dry and flavorless. There was no butter or garlic, just dry bread. However, despite the distasteful and unprofessional treatment by Rosa and the food being subpar, David gave great service and was literally the only nice experience about the dinner. I went to the hostess after dinner and asked her why exactly did Rosa refuse, she said she was feeling overwhelmed because she had a large party already but ironically enough she took on two more large parties after refusing my party of three.

Ive been here several times since reopening and Ive tried different dishes each time. Ive finally found one that is worth returning for over and over again, its the Lobster ravioli. They are very large raviolis and were generously stuffed with fresh tasting lobster meat and swimming in a tomato cream sauce. Do yourself a favor and try it out. 2 for $13 and 4 for $25. I probably couldve had 6 if I didnt also have the bread sticks and mozzarella sticks. Ordering at the counter is weird to expect table service and paying out at table side, later. I have to get all my own refills so I really dont know what Im supposed to be tipping for other than the food delivery? Anyways, great ravioli, go try it if you dont mind serving yourself in every other capacity.

The marinara dipping sauce was also fresh and delicious. My entre was the Manicotti, it was fantastic! I would definitely recommend it. Watery Alfredo sauce, out of the box looking and tasting spaghetti noodles and ziti as well as what may have been a frozen pizza. There s so much potential with the excitement of a home town Italian Restaurant when we arrived, however this went from great to bad. The server had a great personality but had too many tables to be successful. At the end of the day the blame goes to the management, which we never saw, and the management. We never received our appetizers, refills, or bar drinks. When going to the bar the manager/owner had all their business bills/paperwork scattered on the bar table. The pasta looked and tasted like Asian noodles and the bread sticks are not what you think. The pasta sauce is ordinary and nothing special. We never observed an owner, manager, and we saw our waitress maybe 3 time and never when we needed her. Usually I don t post until I experience something twice, but after spending $140 for a family of 5, I wanted others to know it s not worth it.

We havent been here since our 1x visit in 2019 and honestly, we never thought we would return. After reading and seeing how things are different now since reopening coupled with my intense craving for pasta we found ourselves dining in, and omg am I glad we did! We visited for dinner which is traditional table service now which is different from our 2019 experience and very much a huge positive change. We were greeted by a hostess, seated and then promptly greeted by our waitress, Shelly, who was fantastic, especially for all the tables she had. I had 2 different margaritas which I recommend, the Italian and the Pink Cadillac (this was my fav), we ordered bread sticks and the fried ravioli for an appetizer, both were good but the bread sticks were great. The owner stopped by our table prior to us ordering and he was so welcoming and really wanted to make sure we ended up with food for us by asking our usual preferences and etc. He explained which items are made from scratch there in house and he made some recommendations. He also stopped by about halfway through our meal to check in as well. I ordered the Chicken Nozze which comes with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce and that simple little side dish of noodles and sauce hooked me lol. I will be back just for that, I loved the sauce, I added some Parmesan and red pepper flakes and it made such a delicious sweet but savory flavor with some kick. My husband had the dinner combo which is a half serving of lasagna and cannelloni. I cant speak to the lasagna personally because I didnt taste it ( what was I thinking?!) but I did try the cannelloni and it was delicious. He loved both and he really liked my dish as well, again, he really liked the side of spaghetti. We did not have any desserts due to our abstinence of sweets in observation for Lent but I most definitely will be coming back for that cheesecake that is recommended ;) Im also coming back to try the trio seafood pasta. Its important to note that this isnt the type of Italian place where you are spending $45 on one thing of pasta that is full of truffles or etc, this is home cooking Italian, and most everything is made from scratch, and this is not Americanized Italian like the Olive Garden or etc. This is something Id expect to eat at my Aunt Theresas house for Sunday dinner. So happy we gave them another chance 5 years later, we love a good comeback story

We had fritella delivered. It was easy to order and came quickly. However, besides the calamari the food was just bad tonight. Pizza crust, like a burnt tortilla with mushy cheese. The eggplant Parmesan, super salty. The garlic bread, covered in big chunks of uncooked garlic; not mild and roasted. I want my money back. Update: Thank you! We did try to call the restaurant several times and kept getting an old voice mail message saying the restaurant was back open? Weird. The food and service have been great in the past. I will call tomorrow.

I ve been here twice. Once was 20 years ago and as I found myself traveling through College Station once again. I made a point to roll down Texas Ave on the Bryan side of town. It s still there! And looks amazing! This used to be a Taco Bell! You wouldn t believe that looking at it now with such a tasteful remodel and paint it has been transformed into a cozy and elegant trattoria. As happy as I was to find this place still existed, I went in to find out if it was still good. It was better than I remember! Delicious! I ate one Frittella there and then ordered another for the road! (Along with some focaccia bread) if you ve never had the signature dish, get one at your earliest possible convenience. I just knew this place was going to do well when I first tried it 20 years ago. Back then it was still under construction and you could tell it used to be a Taco Bell but I gave it a shot and ordered the signature dish the frittella and it was amazing. Maybe let it cool for just a bit and as you eat it, squeeze from the bottom as you bite the top! You ll figure it out. I don t even live in Texas anymore but I m coming back to eat here again.

This was our first visit. Started out great. Negroni was on point, fried ravioli appetizer was amazing. The entrees (chicken Parmesan and combo platter - lasagna and cannelloni) were delicious. But then our server ghosted us - finally flagged down another server to get our server, who then sent the other server back because he was busy (we could see him in the kitchen). We ordered dessert and asked for our check. Dessert was the reason food doesn t get 5 stars. The canoli was awful and the double espresso the server brought out looked, smelled, and tasted like stale coffee from a pot. We ll go back for the food but would not recommend dessert.

Fritella Restaurant in College Station is a culinary gem that never fails to impress. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of indulging in a delightful array of dishes. The focaccia bread was a perfect start to the meal, boasting a delectable texture and just the right amount of seasoning. The custom-made pasta was a true standout, showcasing the chefs expertise and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The pizza was a savory delight, with a perfectly crisp crust and a harmonious blend of flavors. The minestrone soup was a comforting and flavorful addition to the meal, further highlighting the restaurants commitment to freshness and quality. The tiramisu was presented in a unique and delicious way, and the marinara sauce was truly amazing. The overall dining experience at Fritella was nothing short of exceptional, and I left with a deep appreciation for the culinary mastery and attention to detail that the restaurant consistently delivers. If youre in College Station and craving an unforgettable dining experience, Fritella is an absolute must-visit.

Came here for Valentines Day dinner and was not disappointed! The food was excellent and served hot and fresh. The lasagna and cannelloni were excellent and prepared the way they should be. The chicken parmesan was great as well. The hot breadsticks were on point. The calamari was cooked the way it should be. I gave a 3 star for the service because of the initial service when we sat down. The host sat us and it was 7 minutes later before the server came over. Once the server was there, she did an amazing job! I think the break down was a lack of communication between the host and the server and this can be fixed with some training of the staff. The owner/operator came to the table and visited with us and that is greatly appreciated and you just dont see that much anymore. The building was clean and well decorated, really felt like an italian restaurant. Keep up the good job Fritella!!! Saw this place had 4.5 stars and thought it looked good, so I came here with my girlfriend and got the garlic bread and baked ziti. The garlic bread was so bad i couldnt take another bite. It tasted like soap and chemicals. The sauce on the ziti was watered down and flavorless like a frozen microwave meal and the pasta was somehow both undercooked and overcooked. The service wasnt great but also not terrible. Overall terrible experience and Ill never be eating here again.

Im not a big Italian food guy (mainly pizza or spaghetti) so take this with a grain of salt. I had the frittella with mushrooms, onion and pepperoni and a salad. Its a calzone basically, with cheese and marinara. I thought it was just ok. The marinara sauce was very sweet, definitely not my thing, I like spicy. The ingredients were also spread out poorly inside, all the onions were on one end, all the pepperoni was in the middle and all the mushrooms were on the other end. My wife had the lasagna, which had the same sweet marinara sauce. She said the lasagna at Olive Garden was better . I did enjoy my salad and the waitress was great. Also, the owner came around to every table and talked to all the patrons, so points for that. I cant speak on other Italian dishes here but if you want a good calzone, go to Mr. Gs in downtown Bryan.

Host was very accommodating and made good recommendations as it was our first time back in a while. Food selection is mostly a basic selection of classic pasta dishes. Tasty, but I always wonder if I am getting the best bang for my buck. Vegetarian options: Meatless options are available for all pastas. Dietary restrictions: Not sure if many gluten-free options are available. Parking: Parking around restaurant. About 15 spaces. Kid-friendliness: Childrens sections of menu included. Really bad management 12/8/2023 UPDATE: called the store and i am currently waiting for a call back on my refund. It s been 2 days no call back. This place is horrible , fettuccine Alfredo is a 1/10 no flavor whatsoever. BLAND . The pizza a 5/10. Lasana a 3/10 . Motzerella sticks is 7/10 that was my favorite . But omg it was so expensive. 73 dollars for some trash food? Also 4 pieces of shrimp was $7 dollars additional for the fettuccine Alfredo , that s crazzyyyyyyy. They also messed up our order multiple times and I was being nice but after the price I was like I could ve gone to Texas road house.

Fritella has held a special place in my heart for 13+ years, and I know a lot of others in our community feel the same way. In college, I would go through the drive thru often, and it was always a comforting treat I looked forward to. I took multiple family members there when they were in town. When I hosted large groups or had just had a baby, we would have huge pans of Fritella baked ziti in the oven and freezer at home. When Fritella closed last year I, along with many others in our community, were devastated. When Fritella re-opened, I was a little apprehensive that the quality would not be the same. I am very happy to report that the food is identical- same menu, recipes, and cooking staff, and it is all to die for. You cannot go wrong with any item on the menu, any day of the week, any time of day, any occasion if you have not eaten here I highly recommend you go ASAP! The price point for this quality of food is unmatched, and all of the staff members are so friendly. Thank you so much to all who re-opened Fritella, and for keeping the integrity of the space and the menu alive!

I dont usually give bad reviews, but this place was just not good. We went there for dinner because the ranking was so high and we were very disappointed. We were seated at the dirty table (first negative). My husband ordered pizza, and the one he got was worse than a frozen pizza from the supermarket. The taste was just terrible (pizza had some weird sweet sauce and raw vegetables). I ordered lobster ravioli and let me tell you that I had a few bites and that was it. The sauce was weird and undercooked while the ravioli had no flavor at all! It tasted like it was reheated for x amount of times. It was served with fried breadsticks? Never tried anything like that before and that was for sure the last time for me. I didnt expect a proper italian meal going there for dinner, but that was as far from italian as possible.
