Took my team here after a tournament. A few players were questioning my decision as they wanted to eat at a more familiar franchise location, but one player immediately stepped up and said the best restaurants are usually the ones that are local. After everyone had the chance to eat, they all agreed that Burger House serves one of the best burgers in town!! Definitely going back to this place!!!

Dont let the outside fool ya! In the original Shipleys location at 3310 S College Ave, next to Pepes, this place has some of The Best homemade-tasting burgers youll find anywhere in BCS! They make their buns from scratch right there in the kitchen and they are soft & pillowy. The fixins bar has shredded AND leaf lettuce, jalapenos, and everything you could want. If you havent tried it yet, you MUST try the Bulgogi Burger! Its apparently some sort of Korean Barbecue but it does not have that tomato-y flavor. Fabulous. Its been operated by the same Korean family for as long as I can remember, and Jason at the front counter will ring you up and greet you with a flourish! Tell em Kip sent you!

Very clean. Fresh burger meat from local meat company, I like supporting local businesses. Fix your own the way you want it. Much like Fuddruckers was. I also like that the fries are always fried in a clean oil. Meaning they dont fry fish or any other products in the same oil. Unlike ALL other food establishments. I eat here often. It is always consistent.

The burger was fine but easily could be replicated at home or a cafeteria. The prices were a highway a robbery, almost 4 bucks extra just to add some mushrooms and onions with the base burger plain being already at least 12 bucks. There was a toppings bar but nothing to write home about, no original sauces. Any fast food establishment tastes better and is more worth it for your money. I just don t see the appeal of all the reviews that made me enticed to try the spot.

Remarkably fresh vegetable toppings at a self-serve bar and scrupulously clean dining room. Although I arrived at the tail end of lunch, the lettuce was still crunchy and tomatoes, fresh. Straight-forward menu. Fresh-baked buns that spent some quality time on the grill: something special about a toasted hamburger bun. Burger House offers a garden burger, pushed up notch by the fresh toppings, including pickled jalapeno. At a previous visit, my companion ordered the bulgogi burger (sliced beef in cooked with Korean spices). So good that he diligently rounded up the last bits with some fries. And the fries were deep-fried at the correct temperature to prevent greasiness. Lots of parking behind the building. Its exterior might cause one to overlook this little gem, but after one meal and youll become a regular customer.

I recently visited Burger House and was blown away by the quality of their burgers. In my opinion, its the best burger in town! The meat was incredibly fresh, and you could tell it was made with high-quality ingredients. I loved that they make their buns in-house, which added an extra layer of freshness and flavor to the burger. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. I hate to do this but we spent 26$ on 2 burger combo and it was horrible. It literally made me sick. The burgers tasted pre-made frozen and for the price I expected it to be handmade patties. Neither one of us finished our burgers. We didnt even eat half of it. I dont know if this is the quality of food every time but I will not be going back.

DONT JUDGE A RESTAURANT BY ITS COVER. The exterior of the Burger House is a bit worn down looking, but looks are deceiving because their food was delicious. I ordered the bulgogi burger (thinly shaved pieces of meat marinated in a teriyaki sauce with Korean spices) and it was really good! My husband ordered a bacon burger and liked it (4/5 stars in his book). My husband and I shared the tater tots which were so crispy and delicious, but a tad bit on the oily side-- but nothing that bothered us too much. Each burger comes with just the meat and bun and then you add your topping from the topping bar (lettuce, onions, tomato, pickles, sauces, etc.). I really enjoyed the ability to choose what toppings we wanted, especially since my husband enjoys plain burgers and ends up having to ask for so many things taken off at other burger places. I would come back + recommended giving it a try!

Most likely top 5 burger in College Station! Half lb burger was massive, juicy and very good. Leaf lettuce instead of shredded lettuce made lots of difference and the jalapeños topped it.
