Ordered a double meet burger and the burger is smaller than a Whataburger jr. It was also dry. For the price your paying, your better off going to Spankys or Bubbas 33. The photo is a picture of my burger cut in half. I put a plastic fork next to it so you can get an idea of its size. Wont be coming back here.

The burger was okay, but the person serving me charged me extra for the burger without informing me of the additional cost of each item, making the burger twice as expensive. She simply asked me if I wanted it with everything, and I said yes. Theres a TV that shows the add-ons, but it was not displayed when I was ordering.

Order a burger, and I had to put my own vegetables on it and the bun way too small. And I ordered mushrooms, and they were from a damn can, and there is no way to say they are not. Overall, it just sucked. A beer and a double burger with fries. Its not worth the $20. Oh, and the onions were flimsy like theyve been just sitting out for a day or 2. try and actually use fresh food not canned. DO BETTER DAMN AND MUSHROOMS ARE NOT EXPENSIVE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CHARGE $1

I rarely felt compelled to leave a negative review, but my recent visit to Branding Iron left such a sour taste in my mouth that I cannot let it go unnoticed. My family and I ordered a burger combo, two burger and wing combos, and a few other food items. Little did we know that we were about to embark on a rollercoaster of frustration. Fifteen minutes after placing our order, our waiter told us that our burger-wing combo was not on the menu and the person that took the order was new and did not know about it. (the sales receipt said burger-wing combo). To add insult to injury, she asked us to pay the difference for a more expensive alternative. I requested to speak with the person in charge. The waiter informed me that the manager was not there. I agreed to pay the additional amount, hoping for a resolution to the debacle that was unfolding before my eyes. To my astonishment, the lady in charge casually strolled out from the kitchen while discussing the matter. It became glaringly evident that I had been deliberately lied to by the waiter. After some back and forth, the lady in charge finally acknowledged the situations absurdity. She reluctantly agreed to refund me the amount I had been coerced into paying due to their mistake. Fifty minutes later, they still had not served our meals. We saw other patrons being served and asked the waiter why our meal was taking so long. She informed us that they had started preparing until the situation was resolved. At that moment, we asked for a refund a left the restaurant. The person in charge never came by our table to try and resolve the issue. In conclusion, my visit to the Brading Iron on Ruben Torres was an utter disappointment from start to finish. The unscrupulous actions of the staff, particularly the initial deception and subsequent lackluster response, left a lasting negative impression. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone who values honesty, integrity, and a pleasant dining experience. Save your time, money, and sanity by exploring the many other reputable dining options available in the area.

This place is like a bike museum with many photos and memorabilia. I met the owner (Joe) and he showed me the bike repair shop and explained all of activities and the history of ciclismo in our area. The location is not only a good hamburger restaurant-bar, but also a bicycle sales and repair shop which carries everything a biker would need. The 5x5 micro brewery beer on tap (from the RGV) is my favorite. The burgers are good, service is super-fast and this establishment is locally owned. I really enjoyed going here and will return soon.

The food was the best part of this restaurant in my opinion. Ive only eaten there once so I can only judge by that one experience. The staff were overall polite, but a little bit too attentive if anything. The prices little high in my opinion, but the food is pretty good as well. so it kind of evens out. Also as a side note they have a bike shop next door / inside of the restaurant that does good bike repairs, and has bike accessories , and bicycles as well for sale.

Food quality is definitely not worth the price. Burger patties taste and look generic. I even tore the patty to see the quality and it didn t even look like meat. Ordered lemon pepper wings and they barely put any lemon pepper seasoning on them. I couldn t even finish the wings, as they tasted like nothing but flavorless chicken. I had to add bacon to my burger since they don t offer a bacon cheeseburger and the bacon looked more like pale plastic. They also charged to add cheese since they don t even offer a cheeseburger on their menu. You try to support local businesses but in the end they end up stiffing you with sub par quality food and charging you extra for a couple of ounces of ranch dip. Definitely will not be returning.

Went on a Tuesday night for a birthday celebration and I couldnt be happier with the overall experience!! The cashier azael(name on receipt) was extremely helpful and greeted us a soon as we walked in! He helped us understand how the menu worked and explained everything since it was our first time there! Quaint quiet quick!! We both had the grilled chicken burger combo. Done to perfection. Yes the chicken breast is quite thin but very tasty and tender. Love the small toppings bar where we can add our own toppings and sauces. Will definitely be coming back. Loved finding this place! We entered on the JT Bike store side for a part, and walked through into a surprise! Good burgers including 2 vegan options, condiment bar (thats tomato and onion slices, lettuce and pickles, mayo, mustard and ketchup), onion rings, sweet potato fries...all with a personal touch. Every time we pass by there on our bikes it smells amazing. Love how they cater to cyclists. We ordered on our way back home curbside. My husband got the double meat burger which are a quarter pound and I the Philly Cheese steak with tattor tots (not great) and onion rings (just okay). Their fries Im sure are better. Well it was very delish, meat was tender, juicy and seasoned well. My husband and switched half way, he preferred the Philly and I the burger. Will definitely be back..

Had a large order last night that they filled quickly and efficiently. Everything made to order for even our pickiest eater. Woman who answered the phone even suggested the special which we took advantage of. She ran our order out as soon as we parked and didnt have to go inside, so this is a great option for those trying to social distance due to COVID-19. Top notch service. Very courteous and polite. Our family enjoyed their burgers and one of our kids said they were the best fries ever...They dont even need ketchup! We are Brownsville natives and it was great to find this location on our visit that reminded us of our younger days eating at Texas Branding Iron in the mall.

The food is great but I ve called the store on two separate occasions as to place an order for pickup and curbside due to not wanting to make so much contact due to COVID and on those two occasions no one answers the phone, I ve continued to call multiple times but no answer and even used someone else s phone cause maybe it was an issue with me. Nothing. So disappointing cause the burgers were great and everything was in decent portion but I mean it s frustrating when you want to eat it again and no ones answering the phone. On those two occasions, which were close together btw, I took my business elsewhere. Something the store needs to look into

We found our new burger place! Absolutely delicious burgers, triple meat with season fries with a cold beverage. (SPOT ON! ) Everything is on point! Clean environment, even the restrooms, welcoming environment, friendly staff. Plus television sets, cool bike shop, and decor. Quality bikes with quality food and drinks. Works for me! We had a chance to speak with the owner Joe. AWESOME guy and truly loves his restaurant and a cycling buff refilled our drinks when his waiter was busy without hesitation. Awesome and amazing place. Been going to their chain since they were at the Harlingen mall for years and when they moved out there i was so sad lol. When they finally brought it back to Brownsville i was so excited. Burgers always come out fresh and on point. Fries are so good. The hot sauce they use is amazing. Stopped by for early dinner, and as always, great service and delicious food! The mushroom Swiss burger is my favorite. The wings are yummy too and today, they were on special. Otherwise, the place is always neat and clean and the food is exceptional !

Great place to watch a football game, good burgers, good beer and great choices even for our vegetarian friends. I don t understand what bad lighting people are talking about... you go to any other restaurant and you ll have to bring your own lamp to see the menu... the service was great and as soon as I walked in I was helped out. It was raining... and they even gave me paper towels to dry ourselves.

Taco Wednesday! They offer Tacos de Bistec on Wednesday. They are so good! They happily replaced the tortillas with lettuce for me as I follow a low-carb diet. The meat was really good and savory. Very satisfied with their service and food.

I REALLY enjoyed my 1/2 pound burger and it came with plenty of tater tots for my side. I finished my burger but couldnt finish the tater tots. We are now planning to go back for 50 cent wings on a Thursday to try those out.

Fantastic variety of burgers and sides, I definitely recommend coming out to this great burger joint my whole family loved it and thats saying something because my kids are very picky eaters and they ate all the burger. Will definitely be coming back.

The staff was very nice but i expected so much more from a place called branding iron...i thought the burgers would be flame broiled but they appeared grayish and just fried on a flat top....also no seasoning on either the patties or the fries...none....no salt whatsoever plus lettuce was old and wilted....and add ons for burgers are expensive....everything is individually added...paid 1.99 for 3 tiny pieces of avocado on burger...wouldnt recommend...carls jr and wendys honestly make better and fresher burgers

This is a novelty place. Nice to look at and probably nice for the experience. It s a nice place. Food and service could use some improvement. I probably will give it a second chance. Combo includes fountain drink and fries. And the burger is simple. You get the bread toasted and the burger patty. You add your own toppings on a side table (lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapeños, onion, mayo, ketchup, mustard) Sat at the bar for about 20 minutes and no one offered me a beer. I went for the beer portion of the name and I did not get a beer. As I finished my food I was asked if everything was alright but at that point I was not interested in a beer anymore. 8 dollars for a combo is not a great value and there is nothing that stands the food apart from any fast food place. I tried the burger and was not impressed. I saw the bikes and I was impressed. I will come back to try the beer and will post an update...
