I ordered 4 cheese Mac and cheese withe the honey tenders. DISGUSTING!! I did not eat it. The chicken was overcooked and it was not Mac and cheese or 4 cheeses. I got penne pasta with Alfredo sauce. It was not busy and service was terrible. Will not be going back. Maybe you should close up shop. Also music was very loud.

Ordered margaritas and due to low staff the drinks sat at the bar for 15 minutes. I ve melted and the frozen Margarita was melted as well. Bar tender scratched her head twice before putting her hands in the glass to remove lemon to remix the melted frozen drink. We walked out immediately.

I was so disappointed in the food! I ordered my steak medium and they didnt sear the sides it was totally raw! The garlic mashed potatoes had no flavor whatsoever and don t get me started on the loaded Mac n cheese. I enjoyed my appetizers more than anything. I felt so bad because I really was looking forward to having a good dinner. You can tell the kitchen staff needs more experience. Our hostess was nice you can tell she was inexperienced as well as she didn t give us our drink orders after we finished our apps. This is definitely more of a have apps and drinks definitely not to have dinner.

It really just depends on when you go. Food has always been good, but the service is a hit or miss. Just tonight we had 3 different servers and not one of them were very attentive. There was a couple in the corner that kept all the servers attention. I didn t even get a drink I ordered and the drink I did get just tasted like water, but no one ever came back around so I had to just drink that. $9 for frozen water sheesh. Anyway, other times I ve been and the service has been above and beyond.

Went to have dinner and it took 45minutes to get our order. Only one server attending to all customers while other server was dancing and walking around. Table next to us asked if they could pay their tab and dancing boy said he couldnt do that. ONLY YOR SERVER CAN DO THAT. after a while he came over and said Ill go ahead and get that for you all. The food was great. The fries were not so fresh but whatever. The service, however, was terrible. Was probably just the team that was working today on Sunday. There was a female server and a male bartender. There was nobody to greet us at the door. Which is whatever you know. I worked the restaurant industry for almost 11 years now so I know how it is. We sat ourselves and patiently waited and I was being patient but after 15 minutes and multiple eye-contacts nobody acknowledged us. I came in at around 10:35 and happy hour ended at 11. At 10:51 I had to order at the bar because I didn t wanna miss out on the specials. After couple of minutes I finally ask the bartender who is gonna take care of us and he stepped up to take the table. Me and my family would love to come back but geez this was so ackward. Just trying to get service. Btw we never got silverware. Never got napkins. We didn t ask for them but it s not something you ask for it s supposed to be given. And once the food is on the table you already know you gotta flag down the waiter to get service when they should be making sure. Just terrible service. I wish I could of left a good tip but it feels like my hard earned money isn t welcomed here

Third visit at Brownsville Applebees and not good. Getting food and drinks takes long. Last time they had a toddler helping out giving out utensils and going into the kitchen which is unsafe. Its sad because we have not had a good experience and we live here in Brownsville. Unfortunately we will have to continue to visit Harlingen Applebees so we can get better service and food.

First of all, there was no one when we got there. I dont understand how you could mess up a party of two. Our server was prioritizing the table in front of us the whole time. I understand that they were a bigger table but were equally as important as them. We ordered right away and instead of putting our food in she proceeded to make about 4 to 5 alcoholic drinks for the table in front of us. The food took 30 minutes to come out despite there only being about 4 parties that had already been served. We asked her for mayo and mustard and 20 minutes passed by and she never came, again she was making more alcoholic beverages for the table in front of us. It was a simple request, mustard, and mayo by the time my friend finished his food she still never brought the mayo or mustard. The people in front of us were drunk by the end of our night there. She also took my food which I WASNT even done with yet, she didnt ask she just took it. We didnt even bother tipping because the service was atrocious. She never checked in our dirty dishes and sat there until we finished. I even made it easy for her by stacking everything and cleaning up so all she had to do was take the plates.

I finally got a chance to come to the new Applebee s in Brownsville... Basically we waited for the early crowds to slow down. I failed to take pictures of the food today because I didn t plan on doing a review. However, we had such a great experience with the service, atmosphere, the quality and price of the food that I felt a review was needed. Normally I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants and Applebee s has had a rough go of it here in Brownsville. However, I highly recommend this location. I think Applebee s corporate has worked very hard to improve their food offerings in terms of quality and pricing as well as options. And it has paid off! Where do I even start? Almy was the most amazing, inviting environment. She made sure we were happy with our orders. Super attentive! Neilly made some great drink! Nothing too special about it, the food was to be expected and the wait time was a bit long. My pasta was basically flavorless. Overpriced for what it is. Environment was very clean though, slightly too loud but the cleanliness makes up for it.

Went there after work and the place only had two tables with maybe 5 people total so the place wasn t busy at all we ordered an appetizer and a steak plate the appetizers took over 30 minutes to arrive and it all arrived with the steak plate the food was cold the service was very poor and slow and this place was nearly empty so I don t understand why it took so long to arrive at the table another was done but took another 15 minutes and it was just warm it wasn t even hot will not be going here again I rather go to Harlingen and drive a good 25 minutes than go here where it s 3 min away I do not recommend this place should of built something else in that spot

First time visiting since it opened, food was ok but service was horrible waited a long time after getting seated for waitress to come take order, everyone in the table needed refills and she was nowhere to be found. Towards the last 15 minutes of us being there another waitress came and introduced her self and said she was going to be out waitress for the remaining of time, we didnt understand why since first waitress was still around. Would I go back, probably but different location.

My server was Janell P and the service was not that great. Came by today with some work friends and here s how it went. 5 times she did not bring our refills, she asked if we wanted refills, did not give us straws, forgot to give us a fork, when my friend asked the first time for a refill she said YEA while her back was turned walking away. When I had gotten my check, I waited for her to stop by to take my card and charge me (mind you it s dead in here) and she was in the back (doing idk what? Talking?) so I had to go up to the bar. I m waiting there a few seconds, and a guy comes up and what I thought was going to be the way I thought, he picks up the phone and starts talking and does not even acknowledge me. He walks to the back to tell someone else that there s a lady at the bar, and out comes another guy. He does apologize, but still doesn t charge me. He goes to the back to give my card and tab to the server and out she comes. The food was not good and the service was not great. For it being dead I would not have expected this kind of experience. Would not be coming back.

Food was cold. My cheeseburger wasnt warm enough to melt the cheese. Waitress, Jacqueline, was friendly and did her best considering she was the only member of wait staff that seemed to be actually working at her job.
