Ive eaten here once before and the food was great. I ordered a meal for pickup and was not impressed at all. I ordered the catfish platter and chicken and sausage gumbo. The gumbo smelled amazing when I opened it, but it wasnt as good as I hoped it would be. There was hardly any chicken and it was a little too thin and watery in consistency. It seemed as if it was the last of a pot that had been made. The catfish was inedible. I tasted and smelled mustard. I can only assume (but I could be wrong) mustard was used as a binding agent for the cornmeal batter, and way too much was used. The catfish had a yellow tint under the batter. Like I said Ive eaten here before, perhaps this meal was the result of the kitchen closing as I picked up my meal at 9:10p. I expected better, Ill try again on a different day, at a different time.

Food was trash, spent a lot of money on what was ordered for it to come out barely lukewarm. Service was bare minimum, sadly. Shrimp was tough to chew. We came in about 45 minutes prior to closing, so for our food to sit in the window was bothering. The bartender was our server and she showed little care for us being there. Will not return! If I could give a half star I would.

In the past the service was good and so was the food. Last time we were there during lunch, the waitress was slow and we had to keep looking for her and the cook gave us plain sliced bread with our oysters. We asked if we could get garlic bread (like we have gotten in the past)and the cook refused and sent it back to us. How hard would it have been to give us garlic bread and make the customers happy

Visited this establishment for lunch 7/20. Nice atmosphere/semi authentic vibes. The food was great and came out fast! I started with the bacon wrapped boudin stuffed japs and they were a hit. My main dish was the chicken & andouille pasta. Also I ordered a link of boudin. The brand they have here is one of the best you can find in Louisiana. 5 stars from me on this one. I will be returning to check out the catfish. Hopefully it s the real deal and not like the other place with the imposter lol. Overall this place is recommended for an authentic taste at a great price with healthy portions.

My hubby was craving cajun food, so we gave this place a try. So glad we did! I love Louisiana so I really enjoyed atmosphere and the decor. It wasnt to busy and the staff seated us fairly quickly. We sat at a booth, but next time we will probably sit at the bar. It seemed like the heart of the place. We had fried pickles as an appetizer, my husband had the Cest Bon plate and I had New Orleans BBQ shrimp. Ohhh my goodness, it was all so delicious! I wish I wouldve gotten pics, but we gobbled up our food. ..hehe. Jordan was our waitress and she was adorable! I appreciated the fact that she introduced herself and asked our names. Despite being super busy, (she was bartender and waitress) she was genuine, friendly and attentive. Her service was excellent! We loved our experience here and will be going back. So glad we dropped in and we wish this business great success!!

Went in to order to go tonight, first time here and got few recommendation but desparate disappointed. There are so many things wrong with this place. The manager as first didn t let me swap the corn and potatoes to sausage without paying $3.95 ( for each thing) I order 3 things : 2 lbs crawfish , half lbs crab leg and half lbs shrimp in boiled Cajun style; I understand it so i said just get all corn for me please. I also did confirm with the girl in front that I like order Cajun style seafood , she confirmed Yes. Also she offered to put extra Cajun butter on the side for me. And I wait 40mins for those. Until I bring them home and find out there nothing right in the order : potatoes mixed with corn, no sauce in there , not even regular , just ate more like rub with sauce and then steamed than boiling and mixed Cajun style. Please see pictures for more conferences. I then called for manager and she told me to come back ( 20mins 1 way) just to get the sauce and hang up on me. Then I called back, she said they cannot retrieve / see my order until I give them my receipt number . Good place to get frustrated and wasting money. They might just encourage us to make food from home and not support them . They no need support in any time.

This was our first time checking this spot out. Everything was super tasty and the service was great. Shout out to my girl Celeste who put up with our table and also was very attentive and helpful. We also met Phil who I assume is the owner who is extremely personable and made sure to check in with each table. My friend who was born and raised in Louisiana said it was great, and I agreed on all accounts. The C est Bon Plate was my favorite. The New Orleans BBQ Shrimp was also great, though I preferred the grilled Cajun shrimp on the cest plate. We also got the boudin balls, and boudin stuffed jalapeños. Both were excellent. Also, the beers are cheap at $3/ea. Overall I highly recommend checking this out. 10 out of 10 would go again.

I read about the crawfish specials on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I went on two separate occasions. Once on a Tuesday and then on a Monday the following week. I ordered the special, which I was told on the phone and in person that 1 lb crawfish came with a potato and a corn. The first time I went, they were out of potatoes, so they compensated with extra an corn. The second time I went (on a Monday), they were out of corn. This time, they did not give me anything extra (and if so, I would have to wait even longer for the extra one potato they were going to give me). I asked for a manager. It was like talking to no one because she did not make it right. ALSO, the wait time for crawfish is about an hour plus. That is RIDICOLOUS! If you know how to make crawfish, you know it does not take this long. I also asked manager why did it take soo long and she said they had to let it sit for 35-40 min prior to cooking. I was NEVER told this by wait staff until after I kept asking her where my food was, by that time it was too late. They get you here with their special promotions and dont deliver. DONT FALL FOR IT! Regardless, crawfish was overcooked. My guest were already done eating what they ordered and I was sitting there for an hour and more waiting for my food and then I ate alone when it finally came. This is unacceptable. There are plenty of other places for crawfish. ALSO, if you are running a special on ANYTHING, order more of everything so you never run out!. Will not come back ever!

They have good cajun style crawfishes. Hope the service improves next time we visit Had to ask oyster for few times because server forgot and ordered rockfeller, but just regular oyster was served. We ordered sweet tea, but when it was refilled, it was unsweetened etc . Food is excellent but need some working on order checked etc Edit: if you go there during the odd hours (between lunch and dinner), your quality of crawfish will be really bad got 5 pound and majority of them were over cooked/ unpeelable I know their usual quality but if Im paying $8/pp I should get some good quality craw fish. I might do one more round before season ends but other than quality of crawfish on some hours they still have amazing customer service 2024 visited for deal they had. Server forgot to call us so we ended up waiting like 45 minutes in the car. Had to wait another 30 minutes for crawfishes and when it came out, they were out of corns. Crawfish quality was what youd expect from 5.99/lb. We had to ask for our buckets because they didnt provide them and got the 2nd order incase it was just bad batch - 2nd order came with no corn/ potatoes on top of that, server messed up and charged us full price and charged $110 for 10 lb and had to wait again until manager attempted to fix the issue. Other people may have blast and good experiences here but when I come, its usually not a good one.

Born and raised in Mamou, LA and can attest the food here is amazing! The crawfish was some of the best Ive had in DFW hands down and its nice to get some Best Stop boudin in this area. I went to Cajun market when it was on 26 and am thrilled to see Phil relocated. Unfortunately though, the service was terrible. My husband and I have both bartended and managed restaurants for 15 years and both agree this is the worst weve had in a very long time. The bartender was vaping while we were waiting for help, rolled her eyes when I asked for a side, and she as just generally rude. She seemed to be great to all of the other guests but never looked our way. Unfortunately great food cant overcome absolutely trash service, so we probably wont be making the drive out ever again.

I m in the area for business and decided to come here being that I m a native South Louisianan Creole woman and the reviews were great. When we entered it took one minute for us to be seated. We went directly to the women s room and returned to our table. Waitresses are walking back and forth, we re still sitting 10 minutes plus and I m thoroughly disgusted that not ANY of the waitresses acknowledged us or even attempt to make the responsible person aware that we re sitting with no acknowledgment. So I had to wave the bartender s attention. She then scurried from behind the counter and expressed her apologies and asked if I would like to speak with a manager and that the manager would accommodate me, but no manger has came yet. We finally had the opportunity to order and waiting for the food to arrive on our table. I ll update with my opinion on the food. Oh and took 5 minutes after she took our order to return back with or beverages. Anyways your LUDACRIS and LACK ACCOUNTABILITY. I have ZERO reasons to fabricate about my experience at this establishment. Your response speaks volumes of your mindset and the establishment. It s very corn ballish. I m speaking of my experience and the reasons why I chose to patronize your business. Your response sounds like your seriously bothered by my TRUTH. yes it took one minute to be seated bc NO ONE was at the hostess podium and yes it took TEN MINUTES PLUS TO ORDER. NOW YOU GO DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIFE AND ENERGY, You FOOL. :) and the Pasta Mónica was subpar and BLAND very much BLAND. Chicken and Sausage gumbo was good, the pepper jack boudin balls was good without the garnish sauce and as I m typing I realized that not one of the pepper jack boudin balls were PEPPER JACK, sorrows tuh. The oysters with parm and I believe lemon butter were not hot and lacked taste, my daughters seafood gumbo was ok she said it wasn t seasoned and added salt. Be BETTER not BITTER.

Let me start off by saying we love this place. Me and my boyfriend frequent this place often as it reminds us of home. However this particular experience left us feeling quite uncomfortable with a bad taste in our mouths. The waitress/host whose name we were told is Courtney (straight black hair with pink ends) is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL AND BAD FOR BUSINESS. She sat a table before us and proceeded to head towards the drink station putting ice in cups and talking. After waiting to be seated for 5 minutes my bf approached her and she rudely stated...Ill be there in a minute we dont have a host. So we stood there for ANOTHER 5 minutes while she was still chit chatting . At this point we just wanted to see how long it would take for us to be seated. We eventually got seated by a more friendlier young lady but by then we were uncomfortable and had no desire to spend any money here so we opted to leave. Great food but that girl needs proper training on customer service.

We had previously eaten here after it had first opened and had a stellar experience- the food was delicious and the service was amazing. We finally had another opportunity to stop in again and it was incredibly disappointing. The service was horrible. We waited 15 minutes at the door without being acknowledged by anyone, even though three employees walked up to the hostess stand during that time. It wasn t busy. The hostess walked up, didn t say a word, turned around and walked away again. She eventually came back and finally seated us, but didn t offer a high chair for my toddler. The waitress spent 20 minutes finding crayons that we didn t ask for before even taking our drink order, and then disappeared for half an hour. The hostess ran out of silverware and literally stole ours to use to seat other customers- like snatched it off the table as she walked past without a word. One of the wilder things I ve seen. Our waitress finally appeared and told us our food was the next up and tried to walk away until I stopped her and reminded her we hadn t even had the opportunity to order anything. It took about 45 minutes for my husband s crawfish to come out and then another 15 for everyone else s food to arrive. The crawfish had very little flavor, but were cooked well. The potatoes were so undercooked you couldn t even cut them. The étouffée had a roux so thin and blonde and tasteless I could hear mawmaw Hebert shouting from her grave. I would have sent it back but by the time our waitress came by we had already been there 2.5 hours and my husband was on the last of his crawfish, so I boxed it up in hopes that throwing on some Nunu s at home would help. While we waited we entertained ourselves by watching the hostess shine the same fork with a rag while watching tv, and then walk around the whole restaurant every time customers came in to be seated. I m not really sure what that was about, but it cause a few pile ups at the door because she would seat a group and then immediately go back out for another lap before seating the next. I really do hope they re able to turn it around because this place was fantastic when they opened, and it d be nice to have a good place nearby for when I have an envie for étouffée.

NOTE: Check out the multiple rebuttals from the business owner to all the negative reviews. I definitely dont agree with the customer is always right policy and cowering from your actual feelings when replying to an issue. But, Id think twice coming to a restaurant that didnt use low reviews as a tool to reform spots they lack in, and instead, tell reviewers their opinion is allowed but essentially invalid. TL;DR - food was pretty good, service could use improvement. We showed up to a lightly busy atmosphere at 2:12pm on a Sunday with the bar obviously being the busiest with a single bartender working it. About 6 or 7 workers on the floor with 5 tables running. After 6 minutes of standing behind the please wait to be seated sign, someone came up and asked if we had been helped after every single other worker made eye contact with us but didnt even acknowledge us waiting. We were seated at 2:21pm Another 6 minutes later we were greeted by our waitress, Brittany. She took our order but on the spot forgot my girlfriends order because she was frazzled. After leaving to put in the order, she returned to verify that I ordered a Catfish PoBoy - I did not. She guessed again with the shrimp - I did not. I then gave her the answer of a Crawfish PoBoy. Why you wouldnt write down orders when youre frazzled or forgetful to make sure your patrons dont have a messed up order is beyond me. At this time, I dont feel like our order will even come out correctly. 15 minutes after the order was placed our food arrived. Crawfish PoBoy - thankful its actually Crawfish. Fried Catfish Platter - missing hush puppies and coleslaw The food was good and had good flavor. Im not a Cajun connoisseur or anything, but PoBoys are pretty hard to mess up. I did watch Brittany take more orders without taking notes from larger groups and people left standing at the hostess-less stand waiting to be seated for at least 5 minutes at a time. One excuse was that theyve been so busy they needed to reset even though in the hour Ive been in the business, it was empty when we showed up and is just now increasing in business after 3pm.

Awful, Absolutely Awful Service. Went to this local Cajun Restaurant for Mardi Gras. My party had found this place online, it had decent reviews and from the photos, the food looked very well made. So we entered and the hostess had told us wait was going to be a while. We understood, it was Mardi Gras after all, and decided to stick out the till we got a table. After about 40 minutes we got seated to our table. Our server had once again told us that the food was going to take a while, again we understood and decided to wait. Our waiter said he would try to take care of our party to the best of his abilities. But if the best of his abilities is only just one round of drinks, then Im concerned what being okay is. After just serving one round of beverages, he had never came back to out table for nearly 50 more minutes. We tried being patient but he did something I found most strange, he sat down and had a conversation with another patron. I had decided to get up and go to the young man with as much respect as possible, asking him for at least another round of drinks and to ask what the status was on taking orders. He said hed check but I could tell on his face, he looked uninterested. After 15 minutes, an older gentleman, who I assume is the owner, came and told us that it would take an hour to start taking food orders. Which which has left us all bewildered, we had seen people who came in after us be served food first, yet we had to wait an hour. We had told the gentleman that we had already waited that long and he responded looking just as confused as us and apologized. He said the only thing they had ready crawfish that would take 15 more minutes but at that point, most of us had enough and left. I would say fed up, but we had not been fed a single thing. After that night, Im still in completely baffled by the experience. Just for sheer observation, that The Cajun Market at Bourbon Street, a Cajun Restaurant, was blatantly not prepared for Mardi Gras. From the unorganized and rude staff, to management being unaware what was happening, to even seeing other patrons dealing with the same issues, this night was embarrassing. I really was hoping that at least the food would have won us all back in the end but we got served nothing but excuses, and I cant eat excuses. I want to give Cajun Market the benefit of the doubt. I want to say that this was just a bad day and that they are the good quality restaurant I had read about. But first impressions are everything, and from this first impressions, this is a well deserved negative review. I hope if I ever do return, I hope it will be under better circumstances.

Arrived and told 20 min till we could place our food order, then 40 minutes. Waiter told us he could bring all the alcohol we wanted but could not place a food order. Waited over 2 1/2 hours for food. Asked for crackers to get us by and 45 min later finally got those. Food was good but not for the wait time on a work night. Will give them a try again on a not so popular night.

This is the 2nd time that weve been here. Came with a grp of people on Fat Tuesday. It took 30-40 min to get our appetizers and another 45 to get out entree. Got a couple of drinks that left much to be desired. As I am typing this review, we are still waiting on our entrees. Although the servers were really nice, the service in general was slow, disconnected and not very efficient. The food that we have had (the reg and crawfish queso) were salty and the okra was not seasoned at all. In the middle of the evening, the staff announced all the entrees they had run out of. I think its safe to say we wont be back again.

Ive been there a few times to check it out. I know that theyve had several other locations, one in Colleyville, one in the Colony, that failed. Food is okay. Service was decent - no customers. Unfortunately the place is vast and has been pretty empty every time Ive been there. Id go to Pappadeux just down the street for a much better meal and experience. Sad but this place looks like its going to die like their others. Also their market is a joke. Everything is overpriced - go to Wal-mart for your alligator, or crawish tails. Ive enclosed a photo of an item at Wal-marts price on 12/22/23, that theyre selling for significantly more and falsely claiming you can only get the stuff they sell at their place. Im not going back. Sad and pathetic. Be gone soon. And I just came across the owners response, almost two months after my review and find it hard to understand and wonder if theyre talking to me or someone else. Go to Fish City grill or Half Shells. Much, much better.

The food was good but my experience unfortunately was not. Was a solo-diner. Didn t feel like I was wanted there. Was a long delay before I was served. Was jokingly accused of dining and dashing when I went to the restroom (in front of other diners which was very embarrassing) Did not refill my water or coke not one time. Was accidentally charged for items I didn t order. I recommend avoiding directing these type of micro-aggressions toward certain diners.

I find it really hard to give 1 star, but this experience probably was. Gumbos been on my mind for months, and a friend that travels to LA monthly will bring back some AMAZING food from the same supplier Bourbon Street stocks their retail shelves with.. Food is LIFE! Ive been looking for something enticing, good, fresh.. of course, I didnt expect BBQ shrimp equivalent to those of Pascals Manale, but when I say $18 for this dish has to be a joke is supported by the picture alone. The jambalaya - it just isnt fresh. It tasted how cat food with seafood protein smells.. not recommended. Why are the products on the shelves NOT represented throughout the restaurant for patrons to use? Why was Slap Yo Mama the only dry seasoning that could be offered other than sauces - that arent even sold there, by the way...? It was old, for the record - seasoning changes color over time, yall.. Only positives were the cold beer, my girls strong drink, our bartender recognizing our disappointment in the food, & that the shrimp werent over or undercooked... otherwise this is unsatisfactory if youre looking to satisfy your creole/cajun cravings.

Moving to Fort Worth was easy; leaving the food of south Louisiana was not. This restaurant and Cajun market really does hit the spot when you get the envie for some gumbo and boudin balls. The chicken and sausage gumbo starts with a dark roux with lots of the trinity, the andouille was smoky, and the chicken ( although sparse) was tender. It had just the right level of spice. The shrimp poboy had lots of perfectly fried shrimp on a French roll, with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The roast beef with debris was also perfect. An order of beignets finished our perfectly delightful lunch. We enjoyed a visit with Phil, one of the partners, and a Cajun native who knows a lot about cooking authentic Cajun food. Our server, Jabri, was a true joy, entertaining, efficient, and fellow foodie. The Cajun market is housed along a wall of the restaurant. Several shelves of spices and packaged goods from well-known suppliers were available. The freezer held the best goodies, crawfish pies, boudin from Best Stop in Scott, Louisiana, and stuffed chicken. Were already planning our next trip.

Ordered the three pound crawfish special. Found a leech in our food. Showed the bartender what we found and she politely brought the owner over to talk about what we found. Although she was really nice along with he server and hostess, the owner was really rude. He walked over and the first thing he said was not sorry for what you found, it was Im not comping your bill while he waved the receipt in front of us. He then went on to say he wanted to educate us on how it was a crawfish larva and not a leech. Unfortunately didnt get a picture of it before the bartender took it back and got rid of it. The owner smelled like he had been drinking for a few hours, and was spitting on us while he spoke (probably unintentional but still gross). After we were ready to leave he tried to fix the issue by giving a half hearted apology for what happened and then offering a 25% discount the next time we came in but I wont be returning. The bar area also looked like it was flooding. Wouldnt recommend coming here. Update: This restaurant cannot take criticism very well. If you look at every single bad review, there s some form a rebuttal that management does to try justify their terrible service and mediocre Cajun food. Crawfish hatchlings are tiny and not shaped like a black leech. If you re looking for a good laugh leave an honest review and watch management try and embarrass you online by saying you re arrogant for not accepting that they really just aren t that good at making Cajun food. Not to mention they literally only focus on denying the fact they are bad at the service part of owning a restaurant. If I recall correctly flooding from drainage is a violation of health code. Didn t see any acknowledgment of that from the response you gave there. True form of comedy when a customer gives an honest review and the restaurant management or owner gets upset knowing they fell short. I also didn t fail to mention that we were looking for compensation on the bill regardless of the how expensive it was. We were hoping some sort discount not the full compensation. I m not surprised you missed that while you were reading my review though, seems like that s a pretty common thing to do at Bourbon Street Cajun market. -yours truly, The arrogant chiropractor

Not sure why , as the sun was going down. I didnt want to complain. And will go back, had I planned on staying longer I would have mentioned. Our food arrived cold, due to them being short staff. One guy was running every where, trying to take care of 15 guest at once. He did say he was the only one on the floor so we didnt really complain about the food being cold, since I use to work in food service. The shrimp boil wasnt really great, didnt have flavor. He asked us if we wanted it spicy, we said yes. The boil didnt have flavor or any spice to it. The corn was soggy. I feel like it would of been better if they werent so short staff. Left disappointed, again. I had the shrimp boil, which should be seasoned. In addition, I asked for Spicy. The boil had ZERO Seasoning and their idea of making it spicy was giving me a condiment cup with some Seasoning in it. Boudain was like mush. The service was horrible. The waitress was more engaged in her conversation with the bartender than the 3 customers in the restaurant. With the 5 star ratings I see, either it is hit and miss, depending on the staff at that time, or the owners have a lot of friends that helped them out.

But that was completely overpowered by our appetizer the blue crab stuffed mushrooms. They were one of the best things I ve tasted in years. My younger daughter almost cried at how richly delicious they were. And Jabri s recommendation of butter & lemon to enhance them was right on the nose. They have some of the best crawfish in DFW. I found this place a few months ago and have been consistently going here at least once a week to get my crawfish fix.

Food was horrible! Definitely not New Orleans food! Boil was disgusting! Corn tasted only of black pepper and the potato and shrimp had absolutely no flavor at all! Extremely nauseous afterwards!

Service was spot on! Great food, but temperature issues with beer (tepid, not close to ice cold).

My husband and I just picked up our lunch last Sunday (10 lbs of crawfish) and were extremely disappointed. It was a slow time at the restaurant with only 3 folks inside so we expected we d get fresh, good quality crawfish as usual. But almost 25% of our order we couldn t eat because the crawfish were black, and the rest was completely over cooked to a mush. On top of that, the seasoning did not taste as usual and was quite awful actually. I don t mind coming across the occasional bad crawfish, but for almost 9 lbs of crawfish to be inedible was enough for us to not want to come back. Note: I shared this via Facebook messenger with the management & received no comment on this or any offer to make up for this. I like to give family businesses a chance, but just overall disappointed. I will update my review and give another shot if and when I hear a response from the management.

We got boilled crawfish and took them home. Good flavor but 1/3 were mushy from soaking too long or sitting in the ice chesting too long. We will give them another shot because everyone was super nice.

This restaurant was recommended to me and I was just dying to get here. The service was great. There were very few people in the bar so plenty of seating. The food was good but not what I expected. However, you be the judge. If youre in Bedford Texas go check them out

What?? This is not a shrimp boil and just one of whatever this ball is? I ordered raw oysters... they just threw whatever came out of the kitchen at me. Pickles and queso is all they got right

Worst crawfish Ive ever had. It had a mushy texture, no flavor. The dry seasoning wasnt good. For being a New Orleans Bourbon Street bar and grill, there is some improvement needed.

I went in to support another co worker of mine from another place. However it was kinda slow I sat at the bar fir 15 minutes no hello I ll be right with you or welcome NOTHING.!!!! Granted there was a total of 8 people at the bar a group of 3 actually had an issue with their order of craw fish. I was so disappointed. But now I see why it s dead in there. Even as I stood at the door fir five minutes ready to leave a manger look alike walked by me never said a word at that moment made eye contact with the bartender fir the first time and he did not still acknowledge me.. no one said can I help you welcome nothing.. sorry friend I won t be back

RUN! DO NOT SLEEP on Bourbon Street Bar & Grill! Ill start off by saying Cajun food is bottom of the totem pole of my most favored cusines. Ive tried a few cajun restaurants (including in Lousiana) and nothing gives me that hmph that Im looking for. One evening my Husband decided he wanted to try this place. I went along with it looking to be let down yet again but whatevs, right, just went along with the Hubs. Well to my suprise I was in heaven with that catfish poboy. The catfish is FRESH and DELICIOUS with a homemade batter, just simply delcious! Even the roll was soft and fresh. Not gonna lie, I was expecting medicore cajun and frozen bar food, noting specatular---Nope, you got the real deal here. The hubs ordered etoufee which he raved about. The waitress was fun, welcoming, and just a joy to be around. Also, shout out to the boys in the back cooking! You are killing it! The owner stopped by and chatted with us as well. What a sweet man and you can tell all the employess are like family there. Oh and the hurricanes there are so good and inexpensive!
