I love street tacos and I love restaurants who let me just have the street tacos without all the beans rice stuff I dont really like! The margaritas are great. Chips are crisp and salsa is delicious. I definitely will be back here!

I had a disappointing 1st visit on August 19 - service was solid, the drinks were good, but the portion size for the combo fajitas for 1 was not more than 3 little strips of chicken and 3 little strips of beef. I asked about the portion as it did not resemble to pictures on FB and the server said this is how it comes. Later inquired again through their FB page and ended up getting blocked. Well, if this is how a restaurant treats customer feedback, then back to Lupes and Los Jimadors I go [both, I think better and each no more than a mile from this restaurant].

Was craving Mexican food after we had been driving most of the day and found this place. I ordered the beer battered fish tacos and my husband ordered the shrimp tacos. My husband s tacos were flavored really well and he loved them but my tacos didn t have any flavor. They were very bland for being beer battered. They place was nice and service good so we will try it again when we are back in town but I will get something else.

I used to like going here but my last experience changed my mind. I got the taco salad, the meat had no flavour, there was hardly any vegetable on it, just a small amount of lettuce and tomatoes in a greasy shell. The portion was the size of a childs plate for the price I paid.

i ve never left a bad review before but the service from Mariela made this entire experience much less enjoyable. Although the margaritas were good, we definitely felt more like a chore than customers. She had an attitude with every request, even when asking kindly. She threw our checks down and rolled her eyes when she split up the tabs wrong, and just a bad attitude all around that ruined our dinner experience. Definitely won t be coming back.

It s never a good look for a restaurant to walk in the door of a place you plan to spend your money and only see one employee, practically napping on the countertop while watching 2 children run through the restaurant. After a couple of minutes of being completely ignored or acknowledged in any way, we exited, likely to never go back! Word of Advice: don t go in for an early dinner or late lunch when it s obviously nap time for the hired help!!

Food was amazing. I had the beer battered fish tacos and also got the pastor and grilled chicken tacos. The rice and beans with the plate was fresh and good! The salsa for the chips was amazing! everything was authentic super tasty and well priced!! I m hoping this gets the Managers attention The food was amazing, the service was good as well. However, it s an open floor plan, so you can see and hear everything coming from the cook area. There was loud raunchy music, which was inappropriate to say the least. One of the shorter cooks Sunday 8/6 was also yelling, talking loud and singing along to the music. We advised our waiter if she can ask them to turn it down as they were playing nice restaurant music and we couldn t even converse over their noise. They turned it down for maybe 10 minutes tops and were saying things about our complaints that were inappropriate .. I speak Spanish, I m sure they knew and intended for me to hear. Overall this is a shame, because the food was so good, the atmosphere had so much potential but the cooks ruined it. The what seemed to be manager kept leaving and going outside .

We went here on recommendation of a family member. We re glad we did. I ordered the chilaquiles and I liked them but they were a bit bland. I should ve ordered the machaca and eggs. That was awesome. We went for lunch and the lunch Taquario Tacos were on point. We got grilled chicken, carnitas, barbacoa and pastor and every single one was good. Serves with sautéed onion, fresh onion and cilantro with lime all on the side. Margaritas were premixed but the flavor was still good-reminded me of Torchies Margaritas. The server was super sweet and friendly and the guy that greeted us continued to check on us, maybe an owner or manager? Either way we had a great lunch. I love their slogan... This has got to be one of the most authentic Mexican food we have encountered in HEB area. Always a pleasure to be here. We love the Carne Asada tacos (which are literally grilled meat) just like in Northern Tamaulipas. The flautas were ufff! Delicious. Perfectly paired with the green spicy salsa. I placed and picked up an order to go. My order was ready within 5 minutes. I went in with my toddler and one of the nice gentleman who helped me with my order offered to take the bags to the car for me since my hands were full. I was very pleased with the portion sizes of the tacos and quesadillas. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back!!

I stopped in for some Tacos, decided on Guacamole and chips, and they give salsa and chips which is delicious complimentary. The Guacamole was a bit salty for me. Thats to my taste , however very fresh. And Tacos yummy. Next I will try a salad bowel. Voices of drinks. Decided to splurge, and try one. I chose the Mango margarita was so tasty. Service excellent. Love the art on one side of the place . This is not fine dinning. Yet very Good Service, pleasant people that seem happy to work . I have to say this seems like would be nice place for family to come. Cute little restaurant, yes I will be back . I have plenty to take home bc of what I ordered . Wheelchair accessibility: I recall handicap parking, close to Grocery store.

My new favorite taco place!!! I don t know what is better, the food or the drinks!!! Today was our second time coming here. Paola was our waitress both times, she is a sweetheart and gave us great advice on what foods to try. The food tasted so fresh and home made. The drinks are so good. The frozen ones appear to be easy on the liquor but they creep up on you. Perfectly blended and hits you just right! Thanks Paola, we will be back to see you!!!

Food was old and over cooked. Queso was just canned cheese and the margaritas were watered down. Service was subpar. We were so hopeful because of all the great reviews but were so disappointed.

This place took me by surprise. This restaurant is not getting the attention it deserves and you are going to truly miss out. I started my night with the deliciousness of Grand Marnier melted margarita. The waitress served warm chips and salsa. Offered it more than once. I usually dont like corn but my love ordered the elotes and I now can say I love it because the way it was severed. Ordered brisket street tacos and I felt i was in a whole different city and/or country. Im for sure coming back and cant wait to see you all there. Please mention my review if you decide to partake in the goodness of authentic food.

Heard alot of talk about Macarena Taco Shop. Service is 5 stars. Queso was pretty good. Hot sauce was scorchingly hot, so depends on your POV. Guests at our table were torn between, ohhhh hell yeah to Im dying from heat. Chips were fresh out of the fryer. Rice and beans were just so so. Not really memorable, and not alot of flavor. Sad really. Beef tacos lived up to the hype and would order again. 5 stars across the board. Cheese enchiladas and beef enchiladas were 3.5 stars, pretty good overall. Young raucous crowd were enjoying happy hour in their best way when we were served dinner.

Macarena has the best staff members, as well as the location & ambience of the restaurant! I love the theme & music, and their drink of choices are very broad! They have the best house margaritas for $5 on Wednesdays! They also have some really great appetizers, such as the asada fries & their birria taco place is so tasty & filling!

Had my Moms birthday dinner in the back room they have. All the employees were great. Rita our server did an awesome job. We had them set up a buffet for us. Steak and pastor meat was good.
