As of right now I do not have a firm that I ve chosen to fight my case of child custody. Jennie Mathis with Cutrer Law Group was really helpful. I ve been shopping for a firm , and I can definitely say that this firm and its team has a great environment. I felt comfortable, satisfied with the free consultation and my questions being answered, but most importantly I felt hopeful. As a roofing contractor myself I m use to being in an industry filled with people who are completely transactional, overpromise and who tend to price gauge and take advantage of peoples hard earned money. Money is not a concern looking for a firm. It s the intentionality and the why. Why did you get into the law practice in the first place , and why should I choose you. And does your why align with my why because my why is my daughter. The hope provided gives hope to a person like myself in society that s filled with fathers who have none, to actually fight. This firm is at the top of my list for now and I highly recommend.

Finding not only the best attorney, but the right attorney, will never be anything I excel at. My recent experience with Anita Cutrers firm demonstrated that spectacularly. I felt that I did my due diligence researching and reading reviews of so many DFW law firms with the legal background I was needing for my particular situation and somehow I ended up going with this firm. I wont say it was a mistake, but it certainly was a huge waste of mine and my mothers time. I can say with the upmost confidence when dealing with someone like my sister as the opposing party, time was of the essence. My sister, with her own mastery in how to cheat the system and screw even her family over, needed only time to get exactly what she wanted despite my attempts at stopping her via legal avenues. I had expressed this multiple times during my consultation and through email after hiring this group and putting down a $7500 retainer and when I asked, worst case scenario, how long this process would take, I was told usually a month, 2 months tops, for this kind of case. That was reasonable and I hired them to represent me. This was a guardianship case that I was encouraged to pursue by family, APS, and the SSA to protect my mom, recently diagnosed with a terminal brain cancer, from financial exploitation by my sister. I was lead to believe that Reba was the expert in adult guardianship law and would serve my needs the best going forward. Any paperwork or forms that I needed to sign and have notarized were completed and sent within 24 hours, some even the same day. Unfortunately, that did not seem to help speed up the initial process of the case at all. I am honestly convinced that my case was forgotten about until I reached out a couple weeks later asking for an update. My emails usually took 2-3 attempts before I got a response in return. The application was filed and turned out to be incorrect and needed to be edited and then sent to me again to sign and notarize, repeating the first several weeks. I decided to do a little more digging on the firm I had hired and it turned out Reba, the expert in adult guardianship cases, had only recently passed her bar exam within the last 6 months and had been an intern with that firm prior to that. It made a lot more sense of why things were already falling through the cracks and things were not getting done. My sister had not even been served after 2 months of beginning this procedure, let alone being assigned a court investigator and ad litem for my mom. I eventually was tired of waiting and as soon as my mom was healthy enough to go out in public, I personally took her to her bank and the SSA to have all her funds removed from my sisters control and back into my moms hands. Once I updated the firm of this, suddenly I was being referred to another attorney to represent my mom in writing out a new durable power of attorney that would for the time being, not require me to seek guardianship. I voiced that I felt my case was forgotten about and not getting the attention I paid for. Jennie and Reba will tell you that every phone call and email costs money from day one. Sadly, more than half of my emails and calls were never addressed or responded to. Looking back now, at least 5K of my retainer was wasted on mistakes being corrected and correspondence going unanswered. I wasnt even given an itemized invoice of what my money was used for, only a hand written refund check for just under $2500. I will say I am happy with the outcome regardless, but that was achieved by my own persistence and the assistance of another probate attorney altogether. This could have been so much cheaper had I been advised of this route from the beginning. Take caution when hiring this firm and vet your representation thoroughly beforehand.

I paid 3500.00 for an annulment and did not recieve any assistance what so ever. I hardly spoke to Ms. Cutrer and she offered no tangible advice. Her assistant treated my case like an applicable divorce case and not an annulment with founded grounds: my only result was a lost of money and disapointment. I do not reccomend this atorney.

I hired her firm for a fairly simple divorce, no kids very little community property. Over $8,000 and nine months later no pre-trial scheduled or mediation despite repeated requests from me. I fired Cutrer law firm and hired another law firm. Within a month I had my pre-trial hearing and court date for the divorce. To date Curtrer law firm has not explained to me why they didnt get the job done in a timely manner and why so much money yet no pre-trial date or court hearing scheduled. Be aware of this group.

Paid for an adoption. Never received a new birth certificate but I did get some other clients information with details of their nasty custody case mailed to me. Still no birth certificate. This firm is a joke. They will charge you months of meeting about client and have zero idea what is going on with your case when you call to ask. They did not follow through with anything and effed up an entire somple and easy step parent adoption. They can clapback here with some fancy lawyer rebutal but the paper trail speaks. The paralegal could never seem to spell my simple name correctly, either. This resulted in miscommunication because she couldnt spell my email.
