Been eating at Chaba s for many years & never disappointed, until yesterday evening. Normally eat at the Nederland location because it s closer, but decided to visit the Beaumont location because they offer the green curry dish which my girlfriend likes. I order the usual Pad See Ew with beef & make it spicy. Ate this particular dish hundreds of times, but this time it wasn t the same. Quickly noticed the food was not evenly hot, some parts were cool which was weird & flavor profile was off but I just ignored it & continue eating. get home and noticed my stomach is beginning to hurt. I m laying in bed right now in pain & cannot sleep. Worst case of food poisoning I ever had. Stomach is in tremendous pain, had the chills/fever, shivers just horrible. Agonizing stomach pain

This place is our favorite restaurant in Beaumont. They have the best Thai food I ve ever eaten so far! The Panang Curry, Drunkin Noodle soup, Cashew Nut, and Chaba Thai rice are a few favorites of mine, however my absolute FAVORITE is Chaba Pad Kee Mao soooo delicious and even better with a side of homemade peanut sauce. Yes you heard right peanut sauce! Don t knock until you try it! Everything we have ordered here has CONSISTENTLY been good. That right there is saying a lot and we ve been known to eat here twice a week. Go try it!

Chaba Thai Bistro had good food with generous portion sizes. It is located in a cool plaza. The beef tendon balls and the pineapple curry are items you don t find in every Thai restaurant. My favorite was the beef tendon balls. The pineapple curry was quite good as well. They do have happy hour between 5 and 7. Even though our server had a bunch tables, she handled it like a professional. Her service was attentive and prompt.

They suggest that you warn them about your food allergies, which I have never had problems with in other Thai restaurants. But I wish I did, because my food definitely had oyster sauce, which is not mentioned on the menu and made my stomach very upset as I am allergic to oysters.

The food portions where big and good for the price. The Perfect Ginger meal was good. In the middle of the restaurant is a place where you can sit on the floor on a mat. This is unique. The service was not good even though there where not many customers there when we went. We had to get up for everything that we wanted, except for napkins and the food. Our waitress was not attentive. Although she was standing behind a wall behind us. She told us she was coming but did not until we went looking for her again. We got our own to-go bowls and bags, and sauces. Our waitress mixed up the food at our table. When she brought out the other plate she told us it was wrong and walked away without offering to correct the problem. Parking: Free Kid-friendliness: Four kid meal options. This is some of the best Asian food ever. I always get the #46 or the pineapple seafood curry, but I ve also had some of their appetizers and drinks, and all of it is delicious. The strawberry cheesecake martini is soooo yummy! I m not a fan of spicy food usually, and a lot of it is spicy, but for Chaba s, I ll happily make an exception as the taste is just too good to pass up! I always eat here all the time it s one my favorite spot but today I had the worst experience. Our server June took 10 mins just to knowledge us once she finally got to the table after asking us what we liked to drink she immediately asked if we where ready to order I felt rushed she never came back to ask us if we were okay. My number 46 was salty but I guess she was too busy talking to her other tables and laughing to ask us if we need anything. She couldn t even pick up our plates when we see her doing it for her other tables. I felt racially profiled honestly I m just gonna just get Togo for the next time.

The food is very good, but the service is really horrible. We were there on a Tuesday with very little croud , meaning 6 whole tables with 2 person to 3 persons and the wait staff needs training. Our waitress passed our table so many times without asking us anything or even looked our way. It seemed like all the attention was clearly on one table. The pleather (plastic leather) furniture is pealing badly. Just get new furniture please. Weve gone many times for carry out and have sat for dinner three times but this was the last straw sitting there for dinner. Taking our business elsewhere since we were clearly ignored and seemed like we were an inconvenience to them.

If you appreciate good flavor, spiced to your special taste, youd be hard pressed to find a better place. I usually order Tom Kha Gai because I enjoy the combination of spices required... I only wish that they would, as their menu description alludes, use fresh slices of chicken. My wife, most often, orders anything that has shrimp as one of its ingredients. Shes always happy with what they bring. I dont drink alcohol but my wife has had some of their cocktails and she says that they are made very well.
