I usually dont like Mexican food, but this has been by far the best Mexican food Ive ever had! There was no wait when we got to the restaurant and service was very fast. Once we put our order in, the food came out within 15 minutes. The portions were quite large (which is great for leftovers!), the rice was very flavorful, the meat was very tender, and the vegetable soup is to die for!

Not the greatest stop on our Texas road trip. We were staying in Beaumont for the night as we were now headed to New Orleans next to then start making our way back home to South Carolina. The ladies in the van stated they wanted to get some Tex-Mex since we hadnt gotten any while in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They browsed around for a bit and decided on this location as the reviews seemed pretty good and Tex-Mex was listed for it. We pulled up and I immediately got a sinking feeling in my stomach that we wouldnt enjoy this very much. We have some pretty good Mexican restaurants back home so our standards are kind of higher than others. After walking inside it seemed like we were the only people at the restaurant and there were about 6 employees waiting for someone to walk through the door which definitely made us feel weird. Since we were the only ones we got seated quickly. We looked through the menu and I decided to play it safe with just getting tacos and rice. The others decided to be a bit more adventurous. My tacos were decent, the rice didnt have a lot of flavor though but it was passable. So my meal was the least offensive of the bunch. My buddy is use to ordering rice with cheese on it, back home its covered with white queso which is really good, the cheese here was a yellow/orange type of queso and he didnt like it at all and he barely ate any of it. Everyone else just tried to eat what they could from what they ordered but ultimately didnt finish their food and the girls kept apologizing for picking this location for dinner. The waitress was nice but did hover around our table a bit more than we expected. In the end this just wasnt for us. Maybe its because were use to the Mexican food back home or maybe it was just a bad night or a combination of the two, but it wasnt enjoyable for our party.

I just came here with my son for the first time ever. It was super packed. I honestly feel as if the place is over rated however. I do not want to ever come back. The service was okay but it took forever too get our food but again, it was super packed. The bathrooms were super disgusting. The smelled so bad, trash was everywhere and just ewww. The red salsa was basic. The queso was good. My son got the chicken tenders but I noticed a piece of like maybe a fried paper wrapper that was mixed in with them and his fries... thats what it looks like anyways and thats what I told him it was. I ordered spinach enchiladas and they werent at all what I was expecting and I wasnt impressed. Overall, I hope yall have a better experience than we did.

Fajita enchiladas with gravy and cheese were not good. Tough meat and cold gravy. Cheese wasn t even melted. Too much rice. Charro beans were great. Not very happy with this visit. Server couldn t hear or understand what was said. Not very many people there at noonish. Quality was lacking.

Beware when ordering off of door dash!! Carmelas did not pack tortillas with my fajitas and when I called them they told me to call door dash and tell them to send the driver back. Im literally on my lunch break and dont have time to wait 30 minutes for tortillas. They should have asked me for my name and been willing to compensate me, instead they took my money and told me to find a way to fix it. Very poor customer service.

I have to downgrade a previous review. We visited here yesterday and was disappointed. I ordered Carne Asada and was extremely dissatisfied. Whoever cooked that steak literally bathed it in lime juice and that is all I could taste. The chips were severely broken and the tomatoes and avocado were almost green and not ripe. Not a good experience.

We sit down 45 minutes before closing time. The kitchen staff messed our order, and the waitress excuse was that the cooks wanted to go home already. Then, as soon as we began eating, another waitress came in and began mopping the floor with ammonia. We did feel unwelcome here. Disgusting service. Stay away from this place.
