Sushi, drinks, and good vibes, whats not to like. My wife and I came here as a date night and we had a good time. We did find some of the more traditional rolls had flavors we didnt expect, compared to the many other sushi places we have been to across the US. Their cooked and specialty rolls were pretty good and also had different/interesting flavors. Overall its a good place that we wouldnt mind checking out again.

As someone who don t like Sushi but loves Asian food I m quite disappointed they have no chicken options besides chicken fried rice. I understand it s a sushi place but diversity is everything nowadays. They need other options for other people. It limits who can come to their establishment when you can have more customers and grow as a business

We got the chance to try Wazabi this weekend in downtown Baytown, TX, and it was such an awesome find! The service was absolutely amazing; every team member made us feel so welcome. We started with some drinks off their daily specials, then one appetizer and a roll, and everything was so yummy! We will definitely be back next time we visit Baytown.

When here for the first time. Let me just say bad service the waiter didnt check on us or our food we where waiting for 40 min for shushi. There was just 2 booths that had 2 people each. Is a shame we have places like this and with a 4.5 star nope hope yall see my review and get better staff cause that blue headed server was just not it.

First and last time here. Service is horrible, we arrived and maybe 6 booths had people. The waitress came by brought menus and took forever for her to come take our orders. Food came out decently quick. The waitress never came back to check if we needed anything or take refills. I had to ask another waitress for our check and one lady had to tell the waitress we were ready to pay. If the owner reads this you should really look at this. It s sad that the food was good but because of the lackluster service I ll never be back and if anyone asks me how it was I ll let them know how bad service is here.

I like this small out of the way sushi place. It is small and unassuming, but they have fresh fish and it is consistently good. Would deff recommend if you are with twenty or so miles. Update - August 2022 I eat and enjoy sushi. If someone doesny really eat sushi, this is not a good option. No ramen, no Benton boxes, or rice/noodle dishes. Some tacos and poke bowls. Is still a great place for sushi lovers in the area. Fish still fresh and sushi made well.

Great little family owned Sushi restaurant. Really nice Sushi Chef and discussion this is location #2. Down Town Bay Town looks like its trying to get back running. Fair amount of people walking around the square. Bang Bang Poke bowl tasted great with a little bit of heat. I ended up over eating as I also had a delicious Crazy roll. The sign of a good restaurant. Plate presentation and flavors were on point.

Confusing decor, odd music, food that made me nauseous, long wait time for food in a near empty building, and mediocre service but the waitress was nice! I left in the middle of the meal to throw up, b/c, you know, the food was making me sick. And the bathroom was ready for Halloween a month early. As I stood waiting to vomit up my $50 meal, I noticed a spider web right over the toilet and a rusty trash can without a liner next to it. The bathroom was dimly lit, but I could tell the faucet was loose and the paper towel dispenser was empty. I made it back to listen to the Spice Girls blasting from the speakers, so I felt had left one form of misery for another. I have zero idea why this place has a 4.6 rating. I will never go back.

Waited a long time to finally try this place only to have a cringing experience with a clueless direction to how as to take a take out order making it awkwardly uninviting as for the sushi a stale tasting Alaskan roll is what I had . The dining here is exceptional to say the least!! I was VERY PLEASED!! The food is comparable to midtown, Rice village and River Oaks!! This is a wonderful and welcome addition to Baytown! I don t know what happened. This is the first time to try this place and it gets great reviews. My roll was supposed to have tempura shrimp. All I have in my roll is fried flour and in total one shrimp was used to make this entire roll. I also had some of the shrimps shell in my roll. I wish I could post a pic. Super disappointed. Really wanted to make this my go to for sushi.

Its a nice, cozy little place off Main St. The menu is different than what you usually find at sushi places. We tried the Hawaiin Roll and Alaskan Roll. The Hawaiin roll was bit sweet so take a note of that before you order it. It has white tuna in it. And white tuna is not at all bad! As said by my friend. Alaskan roll is on point. The sauces are good too. The presentation of the sushi s is awesome and the ambience is nice for some afternoon break. Also, there is a small piece of art by the restaurant with colorful walls and hanging umbrellas! Do try this place out and click some pictures!!

Initially the restaurant did not strike me as a sushi bar; the restaurant is located in an area that is reminiscent of old times and the interior is more hip and relaxed. In my book thats a plus. The wait staff was very friendly and we had an interestingly fun conversation because the place wasnt so busy. Its a shame the restaurant was not full, but then again, Weekdays are not usually the days one goes to a sushi bar. I order a caterpillar roll for dinner because I wasnt too hungry. The wait for our food wasnt not out of the ordinary. Their caterpillar roll lived to what you would expect of a caterpillar roll, with an additional cheese balls and a hint of sriracha. Great. Great. Great. I will definitely come back and explore their menu more. My only suggestion would be to have a sushi menu that is more easily readable, that was a bit confusing at first, but nothing that should refrain you from stopping by.

The SUSHI is excellent. Best in Baytown for sure. The SAKE is also great. They now have craft beer & cocktails! The staff is friendly, most of them are young college age people. Not sure what all rave reviews are about. Maybe the rolls I m here for the fish. Minuscule portions, even the Saba. They put Sriracha on my Saba! Dude. The only standout was the Shiro-Maguro no garnish thank goodness. Staff was plenty friendly but had misstep upon misstep. I ordered 6 nigiri items from the sushi bar menu. That took 30 minutes. I was 1 of 3 people in the restaurant. $50 bones. I d get twice the fish for that money and I d be able to taste the fish. Bummer.

The sushi was good and fresh. A good variety. The wine selection was limited. The server was friendly and available. The other staff were helpful as well. It appeared to be a team effort to accommodate guests which provided excellent service. I would definately return. The appetizers were hot and came out fairly quickly. Quite possibly the best sushi I have ever had. I came here on a whim with some friends and honestly wasnt expecting much. We all grew up here in Baytown, so weve all been used to like, subpar everything. This was a pleasant surprise and I definitely plan on coming back whenever Im in town.

The music was overly loud and the place was a bit shabby, granted the location is working towards getting better. The wait staff was kind but quite slow. The food was marvelous, the kimchi fries where out of this world. Sushi was fresh, the Tokyo twist I got was odd in flavor to me, and I enjoy the weird, but in general I loved the idea of it. I am keeping this review open ended because I believe I was there on an off night for the crew there. I plan to return in the near future to try again.

I almost walked out when I saw the party of 15 or so that was already seated. Im so glad I did NOT miss out on this place. The wait was perfect, staff was great and the food was excellent! I forgot I was in Baytown! I sure hope this place makes it. I would recommend you think about being open for lunch on the weekend.
