I Love staying here , the staff is really awesome & friendly. They cater to their guests. They have a great breakfast, waffles , toast, muffins , hard boiled eggs, cereals & yogurts, coffee and juices. Nice seating area pool and plenty of parking as well as several handicapped parking spaces & handicapped entrance also has an elevator, laundry and workout room. Its price is really worth what you get. 5 stars to the manager and her staff at La Quinta at Baytown East Garth Rd at ih 10.

Ok so I gotta say Im sad to be leaving today ... I mainly delt with 2 staff trinity and James they bothe were sooo welcoming and kind and caring amd making sure customer satisfaction was their main goal and let me tell you I stay in a lot of motels and this one by far is one the best motels Ive stayed at in a long time.... and you can see all the staff is proud to work here and they keep the place very well and if you love coffee like I do James makes a good cup of coffee it actually tastes like coffee.... all in all it was actually a well relaxed quite i know i said the word quite in a motel couple days to reset.. and my husbands a goof ball all he kept saying is this is fancy but we will stay here again not because of the name but because this staff knows how to run a smooth hotel and I think wyndham should use theses staff members to train the not so well hotels that I know about.. thanks guys for being awesome and to my two coffee buddies keep up the good work

I loved one staff member Felicity she was probably the only positive thing I can say about this overall experience. Now not so much Amy she comes off professional but shes kind of lazy. There is the stint of dog poop and vomit all over and even in the stairwell really bad. Yes it says pet friendly and that is exactly what it is. If you love pets then this is the place for you if you have an allergy or simply do not want dog hair all over your items or you then this would not be a recommendation. I had the ick all weekend long and did not want my granbaby on the floor at all.

For a place to sleep and shower, it ll do. The rooms are pretty clean and have the basic amenities. The carpet was extremely sticky though. It took over 20 minutes to check in. The floor in the lobby is constantly covered in water because of the pool. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Probably wouldn t stay again unless it was much cheaper.

We paid cash for two night because their system was not working. The put us in a room with the a ac that did not work. We had to stay the night in that room with no working ac and it was 103 degrees outside that day, felt better outside than inside. The back door that was suppose to stay locked at all times, always stayed open for anyone to walk in and out of. Very dangerous situation. We were moved to a room the next day with a working ac but we re not given and compensation for our extremely uncomfortable stay the night before. Also, as I mention we paid in cash in full because their system was down, then in the middle of the night, they tried to charge me card another $105 dollars. Would not recommend staying here. The staff was friendly enough but the owners do not take care of their property

Hotel parking lot and room both smelled horrible. Outside smelled like human poo and/or vomit and the hotel room smelled damp, musty, and recently smoked in. After checking the recent reviews, it looks like the majority of reviews echo this and other complaints. I wish wed have checked here before we booked. According to one such recent review they seem to have had a fire or something on site. Based on the mildew smell, the room was smoked in and/or soaked by the sprinklers and never properly dried. Additionally the bed was poorly made and look like someone had sat on it before leaving the room. There was dust all over the dresser and headboard, additionally there was peeling weather sealant poorly applied around the edge of the windows and the street noise was easily heard through the fully closed window. The air conditioning unit was blowing disgusting, moldy smelling air. I have pretty bad allergies and felt sick within 5 minutes of arriving in the room. We decided that we were going to go somewhere else rather than risk trying to find a better room at the same location. We tried to negotiate a penalty waiver with the property management. The state of the room and location were not worth what we were going to be charged, and didnt look like the photographs on the booking site. They refused vehemently, and we ended up having to get a refund through the booking site. I would not recommend staying here if you have allergies or a sensitivity to strong odors. Regarding Service: Front desk girl was doing her best and was very nice. Would have been 5/5 if the management hadnt fought us going somewhere else. If your location is poorly kept, dont expect customers to just accept that.

Love this hotel!!! Great location, totally affordable, extremely clean with a friendly & always helpful staff. Comfy beds, nice fitness center and pool. Highly recommend. Rooms: Rooms are nice and clean. The shower has great water pressure and the staff keeps everything neat and clean. Comfy bed, clean sheets and towels. There is a washer & dryer on site. Safety: I felt completely safe at this location. Walkability: There is a Cracker Barrel right beside the hotel. Also, there is a Walgreens right past it. You can safely & quickly walk to both. There is a Donut Shop right next to the hotel too. It stays open 24 hrs Across the street, there is a Dennys and a Whataburger that also stay open. Food and drinks: Several food places located right by the hotel.

Had a horrible experience on Friday morning. Flew into Houston and didnt get in till almost 1 am due to flight delays. Booked a room on Priceline because I was too tired to drive to my destination. Upon arrival, I was greeted by what I presumed to be the front desk clerk who kindly informed me that I didnt have a reservation. I explained I just g5et into Houston and needed a room for me and the children so we could sleep and I booked on Priceline. Was told that reservation was due a 3pm check in without even looking at the computer. Then I was told the computers were down. Explained the situation once more and was refused a room. I contacted Priceline told them what happened and they called the hotel and was told they were not giving me a refund. Was given the corporate office for Wyndham. Left several messages with no return call. Closed over the weekend so will have to call back on Monday to have my money refunded.

2 floor caught on fire they didnt help us tell us nothing it was 4 in the morning the compensate me and my wife... We had to go to the emergency room for smoke inhalation and we still sick one month later. Didnt offer us no comfort were extremely rude didnt offer a refund or some free days. The first day the TV and phone didnt work. The 2nd day the ac didnt work and the toilet was so dirty the manager had to come up and clean it. There was not maintenance or housekeeping on the weekend. The absolutely worst hotel experience in my life. I hate laquinta please dont nobody ever go there. Theyre racist towards blk people frfr. Five stars down!!! Rooms: The rooms service the entire hotel is garbage dont ever go to laquinta on Garth and I-10. I could hv die in the fire the sprinklers wet up all our stuff and we didnt receive any compensation. The experience gave us PTSD for life we cant sleep at night bcuz we keep thinking its gonna be a fire. I sleep with my clothes and shoes on bcuz Im traumatized. The first time I experienced a real fire. Horrible ass management.

Hey world! Why bother buying breakfast anywhere when you can get a FREE breakfast at this La Quinta! Best part is you dont even need to be a guest! Think Im wrong? This morning several Mexican construction workers walked right into this La Quinta, right past the front desk clerk in plain view and helped themselves to breakfast. You know, the breakfast that guests PAY for because it is included in your stay. These guys are NOT construction workers. They simply put on a bright yellow construction vest, walk in, eat for free then leave. This is only one of MANY hotels where people seem to help themselves to anything free. And the sad part is the hotel management says nothing, nor escorts them off the property.

Ive stayed here a few times because it was affordable and convenient. But oh my gosh the smell of dogs is horrific. Especially in the hallways and stairwell. Floors are very filthy(hard and carpet) I have to dodge dogs in the elevator and hallways with my baby. We are simply not animal lovers. And in cases like this it feels as though the business caters to animals more than humans being comfortable. I remember one room we checked into the chair was covered in white dog hair. I had to cover the chair with towels. That is very unfair stay over conditions for the people who dont have animals.

We stayed one night in a King room. The room is older which was fine. The first complaint is that there was one tiny shampoo for a room designed for two people. The second and main complaint is that we found bed bugs. We found two larva and one large one crawling in the bed when we woke up. I called the front desk and there was no apology and I was told I could get a trash bag for our things when the guy was done with breakfast and no refund could be considered until Monday (we stayed Friday night) When we got the bags and got to the front desk I took the large bug (alive) in a cup with a wrap on top and the girl took it and thew it in her trash without saying a word. She also has no apology or worry about the fact that we had bed bugs. I asked her to call the manager since no one seemed concerned and I needed a refund and she said she would not wake her up or let me use her phone (she didn t like using the hotel phone she said). When she finally called the manager she came back and said I could call Expedia but her manager wanted to go back to sleep. After looking for the number for Expedia I finally asked if she knew it and of course she has it but since I didn t ask she didn t offer it to me. So, to recap we had bed bugs, no one apologized, or cared, or felt the need to let anyone else know. AND she put a live bed bug in her trash under her desk. I did get a refund.

The services tolerable, but overall my experience was horrible, and my vehicle was broken into in the parking lot they have no kind of security or cameras and the police officer that came out told me.this happens at least once a week at this hotel. poor customer service, absolutely zero excuse to talk to customers the way they do. The gentleman at the desk was far more interested in his phone it seemed than anything else, because having to walk five steps to the computer annoyed him so much that once he flat told me I was not allowed to check in (I arrived ahead of schedule), he simply disregarded my existence and walked away. I wouldve been willing to pay extra to be able to sleep somewhere besides my truck this morning, but apparently that wouldve been too much work. Nice hotel. Spacious rooms and nice amenities. The breakfast was awesome. There is a lot to choose from. I had a chocolate muffin and a Texas shaped waffle. The little gym has 3 machines. Great for a wake-up cardio session. Will be coming back in the future if Im ever back in Baytown. Rooms: Spacious and comfortable. Has a hair dryer, ironing board. TV has a couple of movie channels. I had Showtime on mine. Nearby activities: Tons of restaurants nearby and little shopping outlets. Also Buccees is about a mile away. Great spot for a hotel.

They were very accommodating, very hospitable, and did a great job making sure I had a very restful and gracious stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites Baytown,TX . I just happened to get rooms that had odor and allergy issues from prior cleaning the day before I arrived . Once I brought it to Bre and Crystal attention, Crystal immediately twice changed my room to one that was very guest worthy . I am a traveling worker, so I am always at the mercy of the hospitality industry(hotels & restaurants) . So I am very thankful, when I am graced with the presence of the people in those industries, who really care, that really do their best to make the people they serve, as pleasant and satisfied as they can ! The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. The rooms are a little small, but comfortable enough. However, we had issues with the elevator on multiple occasions. This was frustrating and nerve-wracking, as I was afraid my children would get shut in the door or we would get trapped in it. Having chronic pain, I have a difficult time going up and down 3 flights of stairs, so that made coming and going from our room an ordeal.

We have visited this location often, several times recently for Drs appts. Good employees are a reflection of good supervisors. Crystal and Tony are perfect examples as such. The elevator and hallways are extremely hot.. no ac. The ac in our room hardly work and you woke up hot and not being able to sleep well. During the day it was extremely hot as well. I had reserved the deluxe suite with multiple beds to sleep 3 Adults. Room had a nice queen bed and a loveseat pullout bed. Which was much to small for my 62 grandson. I asked them if we could get a room with 2 queen beds instead as I was going to be sharing a bed with my 53 son. I booked a room yesterday at LaQuinta (53168) in Baytown, TX. My wife and I have preferred LaQuinta for decades because of the quality and value of the accommodations. One of our chief considerations in recent years is the Pet Friendly policy that LaQuintas everywhere have had. So I was taken aback at check-in last night when I was informed that I would have to pay a $50 pet fee for my two dachshund family members. I found this fee egregious on two counts. First, there is no mention of such a fee on the website, only Pet Friendly under ammenities. I, therefore, had no prior knowledge that I would be charged for said Friendliness. Without this prior knowledge, I had no way to make a fair comparison of rates with other locations. Second, the $50 fee ($25 per pet) was nearly equal to the room rate! To add further insult, I was informed that if we cancelled at that time (check-in), we would be charged for one night anyway because it was after 6pm! So the policy appears to be hide fees from customers until they have no recourse but to pay. This is a sad and disappointing development for a brand that we have enjoyed and trusted for decades. If this is a change is business practices across the Wyndam line of hotels, my family and I will no longer darken the doors of their establishments.

We stay here 2-3 times per year. It s a good place. Friendly staff and rooms are just fine. I don t think we ll stay any more since they have added a $25 pet fee. That was a most unwelcome surprise after staying there several years with free pets. It s what set them apart from the other hotels in the area. We re always willing to pay extra on the night just for the free pet. That s something we always supported. Oh well. Now we ll look elsewhere simply based on principle.

In all honesty the entire stay was very pleasant they were very accommodating the rooms were clean they were nice they had everything you could need. The only two issues I had which one the hotel really couldnt do much about was there were people smoking the ganja in their rooms and in the stairwell which was wafting into other rooms which I have severe asthma so it was making it hard for me to breathe. The second thing was there were a couple of times that I had to go down and specifically ask them for things like toilet paper and trash bags and things like that like Necessities that theyre supposed to replace daily I had to actually go get it myself because they never replaced it. Other than that everything was great and the staff was very accommodating and polite

I will be back! This motel is in a key location that offers a multitude of common restaurants that are adjacent to the property to choose from. The motel staff is very welcoming, as well as accommodating, and will exceed your expectations (particularly Rachael and Neva). The bed i slept on was of the most comfort. The motel was very clean and tidy. My experience was perfect and we will see yall at the next one! Thanks!

Very friendly people all around ( the ones that work there and visit). The place is quite, clean and the coffee is strong/ breakfast is always on time . Rooms: The rooms are very clean every time we come here. Safety: I feel safe because I dont see no one is hanging around. No matter what time of night I come in. Walkability: I can walk to any of the many different stores that are in the area. If I choose too. Food and drinks: I can walk across the parking lot if I choose to go to eat at Cracker Barrel. Or get donuts at Shirleys .

The rooms were nice. It was nice to have a heater that worked with some Satellite channels. Beds extremely comfortable. The view out the window aint the best but for a stay for work, it is highly recommend to stay over. They do in fact have a pool but, during my visit I wasnt able to confirm if it was open Food and drinks: They offer morning breakfast at 6

We arrived super late and we were so exhausted from traveling. The front desk lady was super nice and friendly. Checked us in quick and affectionately. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. No noise during our brief stay which was nice. They are currently renovating, but everything is being done neat and clean. I like the fact that this property doesnt charge pet deposits. Overall great experience. Thank yall for your kindness...

I am giving 4 stars because they were in the remodeling phase so the outside appearance wasnt the best and the pool was closed. Aside from those two things, I had a great stay. The staff were awesome. The room was cleaned, smelled great, and the air conditioning was amazing!

Outside of hotel is going through a facelift so no signs on building.. it has continental breakfast!!! Cereal, hard boiled eggs, waffles, yogurt, and more.. Amy who works the front desk at night is a precious gem worth holding onto. She is the sweetest, nicest person who just makes you feel so welcomed and at ease. I travel often for work and over the last 6 months Ive stayed at probably 15 hotels and there is only 1 other hotel that left such a good impression like Amy has. She definitely deserves a pay raise!

The room was ok the bed was ok but post covid this is what they consider breakfast, no more fresh fruit. Went to the lobby and was handed a sack and asked for water and was told 2 dollars for a bottle of water that i can get a case of for 3.50. Im a diabetic and could not eat or drink any of this.

I have stayed at this La Quinta several times. It is very clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Cannot comment on breakfast because it has been closed every time due to the disease. It is across parking lot from Cracker Barrel and several other restaurants are close by. Easy access from interstate. They are doing some type of construction/repair/remodeling. I did not ask. They are trying to keep guests away from the area so it will be quiet and it was. My complaints are that there is minimal electric sockets for charging cell and tablet.Behind bedside table, clock and lamp plugged in. Under desk with lamp plugged in. There was one USB port. Wi-fi is slow.. No bar in tub to hold on to.

Arrived early and asked if I could check in early, but was told NO. I would think that they only serviced rooms that had checked out instead of those that are checked in, you would think housekeeping would be done with those rooms earlier. I was told that there wasnt a hot breakfast anymore. Online a breakfast was offered. I didnt know ahead of time that it would be: mini can of OJ or water (depends on day I guess), a granola bar, small fruit cup. This is what was called agrab and go breakfast. This doesnt add up considering other LaQuintas was offering full hot breakfasts and same prices for stay. After being there a day, I was told because of COVID-19, no housekeeping to your room. Put your trash outside your room, bring your used towels up to the front desk only to be directed to the laundry room (all carrying a baby in tow with hands full), then finally the used towels are taken from me and clean ones given. Not good, considering other LaQuintas still service their rooms. I booked the wrong location in Baytown Texas.

This is the place to stay if you dont mind walking your own dirty towels to get fresh ones ! Have also stayed other places for the same price that offered a full breakfast. The outward appearance of the hotel is satisfactory the staff the check in the lobby or nice however no breakfast setup of any kind except coffee and rooms were never attended to for the entire weeks stay, if we needed fresh Linens or towels we had to take our dirty Linens and towels to the linen-room to get fresh ones and bring them back to the room ourselves. Weather for business or for pleasure this is not what I expect to have to do when I pay to stay away from home

Reasonable prices. Polite receptionists. Right off the I-10 Highway. Parking all around hotel. Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Connecting doors in our adjacent rooms. Only bad things were: 1- hectic entrance to hotel from highway (northbound) 2- it had a small outdoor pool and no towels to dry yourself with. 3- take and go snack breakfast.
