Was craving bbq so went in to place an order to go. I m sorry, the worst bbq ever. Everything was bad, I took one bite of a baked potato and spit it out, something in it was spoiled. This was my first and last time here, never again. I m not going to mention how bad the rest of the food was. Highly disappointed. But the guy who took our order was very friendly so I ll give them one star.

Came from NM to get some good BBQ typical hole in the wall places are where its at. Well this is NOT it. Small portions wasnt too bad, but they are small. The sauce was gross, if you took the beans out of pork and beans and poured that juice in a pot, you have their sauce. Yuck. The sides were watered down, namely the broccoli and cheese, gross. I dont know how this place is still in business honestly.

The worst BBQ I have ever had. The sauce didnt even taste like BBQ sauce.... it tasted like if you made pinto beans and then strained the liquid into a cup. Not good. The ribs were just a cup up pile of fat with chunks of bone in it. There was no actual intact rib bone anywhere in that mess. The brisket and pulled pork tasted like burnt plastic. The cajun rice just tasted like bell peppers and it was overcooked and mushy. The fries were soggy and full of grease but also cold and some of the potatoes were still raw. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

I went to this place a few days in the afternoon, it is spacious and clean. What I noticed was different from the local place is that they dont have a bar for you to take dressings, lemons, onions, etc., but even so the service was very Well, there was a man cleaning the tables who was really attentive to the cleanliness. I really liked the taste of the food and the attention.

Not impressed at all. The best thing here is the sweet tea. The brisket looks like and taste like the precooked ones from Sam s. Where s the pit?? The ribs had a weird taste and very fatty. First timer! Will definitely be back. Great little hole in the wall BBQ place. Spicy sausage was good, not so spicy you couldnt eat. Brisket was tender, and half chicken was on point. Mac n cheese was good, also potato salad and baked beans, all served with jalapeño bread. Sauce was just right, not too sweet, not too tangy.

Sad that the manager is not professional came out and his tone was uncalled for when speaking to us. Explained to the cashier that Katherine spoke to me personally and told me I could get a 15% off towards my next purchase since they messed up my baked potato last time putting MEAT on it whenever I didn t even say PUT MEAT ON IT. I told him he should take it with his employees not us. He goes on to tell us I AM THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN DO THAT. Okay? How am I supposed to know I m the customer. He did give my Dad half off but poor service and the way he talked to us. Everyone has problems TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT! We have been here for years. My Dad was loyal and only comes for the food now not because of him. He used to be professional don t know what happened.

This was the most bland flavored BBQ actually I can t say that acronym it doesn t deserve it it was so, lacking Flavor of any kind that it reminded me of Bootcamp knock once for salt and twice for pepper in this case pound the table for anything!!! The barbecue sauce was Arby s sauce with a ton of water and I truly believe that would be more flavorful Anyways, don t eat here unless you can t have any seasoning, in that case, THEN you re good. Ordered some food tonight through door dash and bought 40$ worth of brisket ate half of it before noticing that some of it had a green and copper color to it ,while I know exactly what bad meat looks like and how to tell when something is old ( meat was so tough dry and losing the brown color to it as well as cold) the people I was eating it with did not. Now the other food I got with it was perfect and delicious but the facts we had all eaten bad meat put us off ,We brought it to the attention of the restaurant and they simply said it was brisket even took it and ate it we didnt want a replacement for what we had eaten or even a refund just acknowledging the fact that yes it was old or bad ,but they were so rude and it just put us off about the whole experience with the food.

Had issues with my order being cold , not all ready when we arrived and when I asked for 3 baked potatoes with extra bbq sauce on the side and ranch dressings it wasn t there. When I called the man told me well that they were busy , I continued to tell him that when he was done giving me excuses could I return for the missing condiments. I told him I spent 80 dollars and that I was unhappy. He said that lots of people had spent 100 dollars in there tonight. The man was yelling at me and I was yelling back. I have never been treated like this anywhere. He argued and made excuses and was totally rude. I asked if he was the mgr or owner and he said yes. When my daughter went to get the missing things he gave her a piece of cake like that was what I wanted. I just wanted what I paid for and oh I m sorry come get your things. Not someone hollering at me making me feel like I was a bother. Unhappy and will think twice upon returning.

As always, Kings was delightful and good. In a rare moment for me, I decided to get the Ribeye Dinner. It was delicious, tender, and big. The Baked Potato that came with it was gigantic and fresh. These salad was crisp and fresh, with a variety of lettuce types. Yummy! Eat at Kings! The BBQ baked potato is awesome. The BBQ sandwich is excellent. Also the meats are tender and tasty. Update 6 21: I recommend you NOT buy the chicken fried steak unless you want to recall high school cafeteria style CFS... pressed, processed, and frozen meat. I think my reasoning was good... that because the BBQ is great, the CFS will probably be fresh meat, battered in the store. Boy was I wrong. Really, there ought to be a law requiring restaurants to declare if theyre using frozen, factory processed food. Its so dicey to order CFS or a hamburger in a restaurant these days. I should have asked. First bad experience at kings.

The last 2 visits have not been up to King s usually delicious food. First visit about 3 weeks ago, the meat on my sandwich was the fattiest I have ever had from there and I ve been going for years. Today, the only thing that was up to the usually high quality and taste was the Bbq sauce. The onions were old and wilted, same with the sore tasting cold slaw, and they changed the bread because it much thicker, and the baked beans, not as good as beans straight from the can. Brisket trimmed with no fat .. fat is what gives its flavor, bland and seemed to be reheated..sausage has cellulose casing which is hard to chew..pulled out ribs for slicing and they had plastic saran wrap on it..re-heat, No pickles, onions or jalapenos bar. Both beans more juice than beans.You have to ask for bread which is grilled when delivered. Prices reasonable but product is small and tasteless.I saw nothing like the recent review posts. Wont be back, sorry.

I ve been living in Baytown for 3 years. I always wondered about the stake deal they have. Well me and my husband tried it today, and to be honest it was not worth it. I called to speak with the manager he tired to be nice, but I can t tell he was not to happy with my comment. He said it was a ribeye the top quality I called BS. None of the food stayed down It all came up. Will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!

Great sausage. Ribs and brisket are special. Awesome find in Baytown. Will be going back. My wife loved the chicken fried steak, and my 9-month old daughter loved the mashed potatoes and gravy. Freindly staff and generous portions. The jalapeño toast was a nice touch.
