Oneals, I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent changes to your establishment. I used to be a frequent customer, coming in three to four nights a week and sometimes even twice a week for lunch. However, I was disheartened to find that you no longer serve lunch, and when I visited on a Saturday night with my family, the restaurant was nearly empty with only two occupied tables. To make matters worse, we were not greeted or served by any staff members for an extended period of time. Eventually, my son had to approach the bar to request drinks, and when we tried to order food, we were informed that the only available option was pizza. I am deeply saddened by the decline in the quality of service and atmosphere at Oneals. The food, staff, and ambiance used to be excellent, but now there seems to be a lack of attention to customers and a limited menu. I hope that you will take my feedback into consideration and make improvements to restore the restaurant to its former glory. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Ive been here many times and have always enjoyed the great service and food. On Sunday, 9/22/2024, me and my boyfriend brought my boyfriends grandmother for a nice meal, as she doesnt live near water. We tried to sit at table 57, but it was marked as reserved. When we walked away, someone told us the table wasnt actually reserved, so we sat down. Our initial waitress was unfriendly and repeatedly mentioned that the table was reserved for her friend, which left us confused. We offered to move, but she insisted it was fine while clearly implying otherwise. After taking our drink order, she disappeared for 15 minutes. Luckily, Ashley then stepped in to take over, and we were grateful for her attentive service. Its hard to believe the owners would condone their servers reserving tables for friends on a busy night, but Ashley definitely turned our experience around and we were very happy to tip her VERY WELL.

Havent been here in 5 years. Since an upscale hotel was built right next door, Oneals has really upped its game. Menu used to have maybe 2 dozen items, most of which were fried. Menu now has several dozen items, anything from fried, grilled, blackened seafood as well as exceptional steaks. A salad bar is also available with a great selection of items. Definitely wont be waiting 5 years for my next visit.

First time visiting. Met a friend for lunch. Really enjoyed it! Great location on the water. Plenty of free parking. Definitely a great place to hang out, watch a game, or listen to music. We just had appetizers, which were good. I ordered the loaded Bloody Mary, which is like an appetizer itself, but I wouldnt recommend it. I loved the presentation but it was extremely salty! I drank maybe a 3rd of it.

Fun place by the water. The food was really good and the service was super fast and friendly. We tried the pizza and the seafood platter. The seafood was awesome. This place probably rocks at night with the outdoors and stage for bands. Definitely recommend it

The waitress was very helpful and she was run ragged. They had a large group from a local company and it back everyone up. They forgot part of my order but didn t have to wait too long for it. The chips that can with the dips were stale. I mentioned it and the waitress said she had heard that before. Looks like they don t want to improve it. I will be in NO. Hurry or ever eat there again.

Went for a friend s birthday. Food was ok nothing special I ordered the cat fish and shrimp. Everything is overpriced. I ordered 3 shots and they charged me $60 on my ticket! I asked my waitress and she apologized and fixed the ticket and price was still high! For 3 shots $20 the drinks are overpriced. I think they want to compensate for not having the bar packed so they over charge guest that actually go. The bathrooms were pretty gross. The bar just looks grungy.

We have been eating here since our job started in baytown and the staff is outstanding. Jennifer our bartender did everything she could to make our drinks just right and the food is great. There was only one time where the food was slightly overcooked but Jennifer and Cullen made sure things were right. The food was awesome! Try the sampler plate, which is more than enough for two people wanting to snack while enjoying your drink. The live musician was very good and versatile, singing and playing a diverse mixture of music genres. Our server, Tyrell, was very attentative under the condition of being spread out. Sitting outside, you can enjoy the fresh air and breeze. Since I am a smoker, it is a good place to sit and not really disturb non-smokers. But beware when winds pick up! They can blow hats off or if you are unsteady blow you off your feet! An adventure in and of itself! All service personnel are attentaive: hold doors open or assist wherever they can when you are walking around. The only thing that bothered me a bit was charging a party of 4 a service charge of 4%, without making me aware of it when spontaneously picking up the tab for everyone at our table. Otherwise: all in all we had a great time!

There is new management. A guy John ran it like a well-oiled machine. He is no longer there. The food sucked. The put a 4 percent charge on top of my tab for using a credit card .never have I seen that before. Call my sister that works for the texas state attorney General said that that is Illegal. Shes going to open up an investigation starting tomorrow. My brother has a firm in Austin. He said it is a class action. So do not worry. We and the state, and the attorneys will get every Penney back, plus,plus plus. I will never go back and will be surprised if there are not locks on the door soon.

We finished and asked for our bill and got told we were being dirsptful after waiting 28 minutes to flag a server down. They were setting up for a large party. The manager came over and stated they only may $2.18 an hour: I had some back and forth with him, paid and tipped 50% then left. Definitely not going back. Lol.

I wanted to love this place so bad, it s everything I love, water views, patio, but we had such a horrible experience - we seat ourselves, everything is good at first. Then time goes by, we ordered boudain balls, we waited at least 20 minutes for those to even touch the table, but no big deal. We eat them, they re great. Next, we ordered our food the same time we ordered the boudain balls, we waited for I kid you not at least 45 min to an hour for our food. We re usually patient, but our server would not check on us for a while at this point bc he knew we had been waiting & assuming he didn t want any backlash from us so he sends over the manager, manager tells us that the fire in their kitchen is down & that it we would ve ordered a steak instead it would ve been to the table faster rather than the fried food. okay? well we didn t want steak & how were we supposed to know, then proceeds to tell us be patient after we have very well been patient, we didn t say anything to the server about it, just dealt with it. so we felt that was rude. Then we get our food finally & it tasted like it was just sitting there & half of the food wasn t even warm. We ask for our receipts, just for 2 people to eat we paid almost $70. After waiting that long and having the manager come up to our table says a lot & we still payed that much money? We wanted to love this place but just ended up leaving very disappointed. We probably won t be back.

Wheelchair accessibility: Theres a steep stairs from the main parking lot, but anyone in a wheelchair can enter from the side of the hotel next door. This was a hidden gem. Great food, good scenery and hospitable hosts. The owner came to the table, gave us some free samples & visited with us just to be sure we were happy.

Meh this is more of a drink beer and watch sports place. Food is bland, and comes out a little too fast. Service was great. However they re trying to be fancy when they should be more concerned with the taste of the food they put on your plate. I d give it 2 stars if the service and atmosphere weren t as good as it is.

Food was outstanding! Everything we ordered (oysters, fried fish & shrimp, etc.) was hot and fresh. Robin, our server was very attentive and friendly. Asst. Mgr, Cullen stopped by our table a few times to make sure everything was good and we were happy. Overall a 5 star place!
