These apartments have become a disgrace. The grass isnt cut regularly and not done very well when it is. Window units hanging out of windows, and too many other things to list. It looks like the ghetto.

When I first moved here it outside appearance was great lawn cut. Trash collected regularly from dumpers. 1 year later grass cut every 3 to 4 weeks and trash is piled up literally.fallen trees from the last hurricane. Its just disappointing and truly embarrassing. The management and maintenance is short staffed. No transparency or update on tenant issues. I could have done better myself. Bay oaks have truly been an experience for me.

RUN! Management is terrible and never answers or calls back maintenance calls. I have been getting water in my apartment cause the hurricane damaged the door so any time it rains water rushes in and its been that way for about a month and I cant get anyone to come and fix it. I fought with them for 2 months to fix my ac that had went out in the middle of the summer and it was another 3 months to get a bathroom door installed that I was told would be the next day when I moved in. Many work orders are marked as complete without anyone even showing up. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy please save yourself and go somewhere else.

Have lived here almost a year and our ac has never worked. You turn in work orders only for them to be checked as complete and nobody ever even came by..Office personnel never answer or never in the office when needed. Right now in June the grass is knee high and his been this way for weeks. Dont make a mistake and move in here..

I lived here for over two years. The bugs (COCKROACHES) are horrible. The water is hardly ever warm. And when I moved out, they told me I was all paid up then sent me to collections without ever attempting to contact me. All they had to do was call me, but that proved too difficult for them. Do not live here. It isn t worth the low rent. Thanks again for sending me to collections instead of reaching out. They wanted me to take the horrible experience of living here with me.

When I first moved in it wasnt the worst place but wasnt the best. You get what you pay for and the rent is cheap. The office management was nice and yes you had to fight the bugs but it was clear maintenance and everyone around you were doing the same so they werent that bad. Then the management changed and its gone downhill ever sense. It took 3 weeks to get a leak in my kitchen fixed and when they finally fixed it they slapped plaster on the water damage and called it a day. Every pest control request is marked as completed regardless of them not spraying or even coming into the apartment. And when I requested a bigger unit Pricilla told me I couldnt put my application in till the owner came back from Las Vegas. Wouldve been totally fine but then within the two weeks she moved her cousins or something into the unit. Super unprofessional if she already planned to move someone into it she couldve said the unit already had applicants and offered a different one or told us when another would be available and instead she gave us the run around to give someone she knew the leg up. If management was different we wouldve lived here at least 4 more years while we saved to buy a house and I finished college but honestly between the bugs , constant water leaks, and very unprofessional management this place is barely tolerable. The only thing that made me stay this long alot of the residents are amazing people just trying to make it to the next paycheck and they look out for one another. If your looking for something with the manager special, constant bugs and water leaks, and management that will ignore you and turn thier nose up so high you can see thier brain through thier nostrils when they walk by you this is where you wanna be. If not run and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

The balcony of my unit was delivered full of garbage and thats why I requested maintenance, they came but did nothing and left everything just as dirty. It is my responsibility to keep my area clean, but it is the offices responsibility to deliver the unit in proper condition for the new tenants.

I m surprised the service request has been addressed,,, finally!!!!!! Even though it has taking 11 days to get a refrigerator replaced the second broken refrigerator in 2 1/2 months that I ve lived in my unit I ve lost over $450 worth of food. Multiple request ignored ,,multiple broken promises.. Just to get a refrigerator.??? I feel like I was neglected, abused, and not valued as a rent paying resident of Bayoaks apartments. Worst experience I ve ever had as a tenant in all the places that I ve live at .. Not impressed or happy with the lack of urgency to address this service request living 11 days without a working refrigerator telling your kids, NO you can have cereal we don t have any cold milk No we don t have cold drinks!!!!! if you want to know what I went through let your refrigerator break down and request a service from management .. this has been the poorest, most disgusting, worst service EVER!!!!!

One Of The Worst Decisions Ive Ever Made In Life Was Signing A Lease To Move In Here.. Theres Constant Problems With The A/C.. Theres Rats Here And Mold Is An Issue.. & Maintenance Never Comes To Fix Anything No Matter How Often You Call Or Request Them.. With All That Said The Worst Part About Bay Oaks Remains To Be Priscilla And The New Management Team Over This Complex.. My shower is peeling and it s clogging the drain. I was basically told I had to pay for it. I was told there be is no scheduling, you just sign and hope for the best. Then we have to out for 24hrs but again YOU CANT SCHEDULE a day. If you have to change the day, you pay $150. Hell of a way to avoid fixing a problem.

If I could give this property a 0 I most definitely would ! I have been staying here for 2 weeks now and it is absolutely horrible . My apartment reaches up to 80 degrees while the AC is set to 69. They are hard to get a hold to but before I signed my lease it was absolutely no issues getting in touch with Ms. Priscilla . I was told by her that the floor plan I have it tends to get stuffy in the master bedroom ( that was her exact words ) not to mention my icebox just went out and I had to throw food away just for maintenance to tell me he will be back TOMORROW MORNING ! I regret ever moving here and I wouldn t recommend this apartment complex to my worst enemy.

Avoid these apartments at all cost. Weve had nothing but issues since moving In here. They paint over dirt and grime, roaches are really bad here, matinence is horrible. It takes them days to even get back with about anything. Our apartment doesnt cool down, and our electricity bill comes out to 300.00, they refuse to fix the problem. Theres mold and mildew in the apartments that they just cover up. Save your trouble and avoid this place. The front office wont answer the phone/ get back with you.

UPDATE: Well it has been over a month since the terminated my lease and still no refund of my almost $3000.00. I call & call & call with no answer! And the phone number to karya management is invalid! Guess Im going to have to sit in office till I get paid. Warning long post!! So I looked at a 3 bed/2 bath apartment and it looked nice. They said it had just been bombed for bugs so if I were to see a DEAD one dont be alarmed. I signed papers and gave $2700.00 for deposit, admin fee, and 1st month rent. I go to move in and the place is INFESTED with LIVE ROACHES!!!! They were even inside refrigerator running around and fridge was turned on and cold!!!! I went to office to schedule extermination and asked for refund of days I could not move in due to roaches. I was told it was illegal for them to exterminate inside apt and every Friday the exterminate along the road. On Wed 3-22-23 I go to MY apartment to check for bugs and there is someone ALREADY LIVING THERE!!!! She signed a lease for the EXACT SAME APARTMENT!!!!!!! I have not been able to get ahold of office staff or management company. YOU OWE ME #3000.00 OR MORE!!!!!!!!

Worst apartments to live in. Used to be great. Went down hill after management changed. Literally got my car broken into and they didn t do anything And then charged me a return fee after my cc was stolen and my payment was declined. Has no real management and does whatever they want. Ask to speak to Corprate and they give you the run a round.

After leaving the apartment, was charged extra fees with no attempt to collect and it was immediately forwarded to a collection agency without any notification. Have never been late or short on any bills. Dont do business with this place, they admitted they do it to everyone when they leave for extra money and have been doing it for years.

THEE ABSOLUTE WORSE PLACE TO APPLY TO. I APPLIED FOR AN APARTMENT HERE A FEW DAYS AGO. I GAVE THEM PAYSTUBS AND ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AND THEY ALSO SPOKE DIRECTLY WITH MY SUPERVISOR WHO COMPLETED A EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION FORM FOR THEM AS WELL. THEY CONTINUED ASK FOR FURTHER VERIFICATION WITH AN EXCUSE INSINUATING THAT I WAS PRESENTING FALSE INFORMATION. I WAS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST FOR BEING AN INDEPENDENT BLACK MOTHER WHO IS WELL EQUIPPED TO TAKE CARE OF HERSELF AND HER CHILDREN. NOT ONLY THAT BUT THEY CONTIUOUSLY LIED ABOUT EVEN SENDING CORPORATE CONTACT INFO. Absolutely love my apartment! I fell in love at first sight! The management team and the maintenence team are absolutely fantastic! Communicative and enjoy making things around the complex as comfortable as possible! I enjoy the seasonal stuff especially! Been here a year and a half and just renewed my lease again for the next 15 months! So excited to be apart of the community!

Hot water does NOT live here. Been complaining for months now yet the issue has not been resolved. Doesnt matter the weather nor the day. If its cold outside, Oh well youll have to boil some water for you and your family to bathe comfortably. If your water goes cold on a Friday, Oh well youll be waiting until AFTER the weekend for them to work on it. Ridiculous! Currently searching for a number to corporate as I have been told that they dont have a number that they can provide me with.

I am currently still staying here I have been complaining about my AC unit for 4 months and it has yet to be fixed when I let the office staff know that I have five kids and one of them is 7 months they seem not to be bothered I went as far as going to Lowes on my own to buy coil cleaner to fix it myself the AC unit still is not working I call and make a maintenance request about my AC they say maintenance is on the way this has been going on for months now like I said earlier maintenance never show up I have left messages with corporate and still havent gotten a response they put a note on my door saying that I owe $5,000 I will pay my rent but Im not paying no late charges true I didnt do right by the lease by not paying rent but they havent either by keeping me in my family in the heat All Summer Long and theres a serious roach problem as well

You will fight for parking.... pool never cleaned and the best part MANAGER ROSIE DOESNT DO ANYTHING!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! Ladies in the office are pretty nice every time I call. They resolve many problems with maintenence. But its very frustrating that Ive been dealing with roaches since the very first day moving in. Only reason I havent called about it because their going to do the same thing Ive been doing which is spraying. Also there has been different occasions where there has been a very STRONG paint smell throughout my apartment coming through the vents. Overall its a decent place but didnt expect to be dealing with bugs from day one

Ive to been a tenant for 4 years andaused to be a great place to live. A new company bought the place and its just a bunch of ratchet kids thats gonna scratch ur cars and be loud af by ur door at all hours. Office staff is nice but its like loving in section 8 here now. Never seen a bug. In summation if you are a refinery worker do not live here.

Im giving 3 stars because of my overall experience at Bay Oaks. The staff are the sweetest & so very helpful. The maintenance team is also very attentive & kind. All of our issues have been handled professionally and immediately. My only complaint would be some of the other residents. This property has no gate to the front entrance, so anyone can leave & go any day/ any time - Our cars have been broken into, hit multiple times, we had neighbors hanging out in the parking lot at all hours of the night (during the week!), and bugs are a big issue, mostly during the summer they find their way inside and become difficult to avoid. Most of these things listed above have been better thanks to Bay Oaks staff who are always so courteous.

I have been here going on two years and the apartments are a very nice place to live and affordable. The office staff is very friendly and helpful and the maintenance are good at getting problems fixed quickly. The schools (James Bowie and Cedar Bayou Jr. High) zoned to the area are great as well.
