When did it become ok to allow customers to bring their very young kids (probably 2-4 years) to a bar and get drunk. I had never experienced that at your bar before until today. Please do better they have to drive home with those babies too.

We didn t want to pay the $20 entrance fee for a concert so we went to the next door bar. Didn t realize it was attached bar but it was empty so we sat down. This bar accepts cards & cash & they have liquor and beer. The staff was very nice and quick and it s a very hometown bar with lots of things to look at! $8 for a drink & bathrooms were available nearby. There was an outdoor patio but we didn t go outside. We didn t try any foods but we Will definitely come back

We were on a weekend getaway and stopped in for a drink. This place has a lot of personality and history, plenty to look at every where you turn. Great atmosphere and service. I forgot the bartenders name, but she was fantastic! Unfortunately for us, there was a wedding going on that day so the back was closed off to the public. The bar was full and it was a bit crammed, but still a good time and enjoyed the wedding band. We will definitely stop in again the next time we re in town.

We have been to 11th street several times over the years and it is usually a good experience. However, they Really missed the mark on Saturday April 27th!! We had friends visiting from Europe and we were all excited to see Roger Creager perform. I reserved a table for eight at the cost of $698.00 after fees and taxes. The doors were to open at 6pm and the show to start at 7pm with Wynn Williams the opening band. We arrived at 6:30 and the doors were locked! We waited outside with many other people until after 8:00pm when they finally opened the doors! We went through and found our table clearly marked reserved with our name. But our table was covered with drinks and decorations for a wedding!! We waited for the table to be cleared and Finally settled in. The show started at around 8:30, it was hard to see and enjoy the show as we were surrounded by a very active wedding party! We found out that the 2 1/2 hour delay was because they had scheduled a wedding for the same time slot!! As we bought drinks throughout the evening we noticed that the drink prices varied by bartender!! One would charge $9 per drink while another charged $8 per drink!! Needless to say we spent nearly $800 that evening and were Definitely not provided anywhere near what we paid for! We are very unhappy that the establishment decided it was okay to take our money and deliver such a poor experience!! Not worth it at all!!!!

Bahahah. They sold tickets in the general admission area and then threw a fit when people with general admission tickets stood in that section. The new owners clearly aren t from Bandera and need to put some effort into learning their audience before attempting to price gouge paying customers, lol

Walked in as the bartender was already serving a party table and was told they called last call. Its 10:30 and the bartender didnt even look old enough to be serving. The table was belligerent and tried making conversation, I walked away. I dont get drunk in public. But seeing moments later after we left someone walk in and get served its pretty offensive, Im the driver so in a matter of 3 hrs Ive had 2 beers, it definitely wasnt a serving issue as far as my level was concerned. Looked like they wanted to party with friends on the bars behalf instead of making money from paying customers. As a professional touring musician Ive seen a lot, this was pretty embarrassing.

Great place would give 5 stars but restroom facilities were BAD. Was there Thursday, beginning of mardi gras weekend. We arrived around 5:30 pm and 3 of the 6 or so porta potty smelled pretty bad. By 9:00 pm they shut those 3 down. Why wouldnt they have been emptied prior to this upcoming busy weekend? I sure hope they ALL get emptied tomorrow before mardis gras goes into full swing or its gonna be a real issue!!

It was our 2nd time there and theyve really grown. False advertising for reservations. Went on a Wednesday night and in order to get a table by the heaters, you needed a reservation. Live music on Wednesday nights is $3/person. Not too bad. Pricey for 1 beer and 3 sodas. Need more heaters for how big it is. Cant hear the music at the other end.

Visited during steak night. Nice concept; Bring your own meat and prepare it on the BBQ there after you have seasoned the steak. You can buy salad and baked potatoes there, unfortunately the baked potatoes were sold out. But salad with bread is more than enough. All in all a nice experience and delicious food. Mainly local residents present.

Would have been 5 stars but the unpleasant woman at the door almost made us turn around and leave without going in. Sorry but for first time attendees at the steak night she sure could have been more pleasant. You bring you own steak and cook it; they provide a nice plate of baked potato and salad. The band was great and we really enjoyed dancing after finishing our steaks. We highly recommend stopping by. I just hope they can do something about the door witch (or its rhyming equivalent) Parking: We parked in a parking lot across from the steak house next door.

A very fun spot for country music lovers! They bring in great bands, have a great stage and dance floor, an outdoor environment that s very comfortable (especially after the sun sets) and attracts a fun mature crowd of cowboys and cowgirls. We walked from the hotel, or you could ride your horse in. We were there on a Wednesday night when you can bring your own steaks (or whatever) and cook them up over a hardwood fire. For a small cover charge you ll get a perfectly baked potato and a simple salad on a paper plate and plastic utensils (a pocket or buck knife comes in handy) and you can cook and eat whenever you like. Folks brought coolers of their favorite foods and picnicked with big smiles. Most crowded around the fire when it was very hot for a nice char, or wait until the fire settles and cook yours more slowly. Drinks are reasonably priced and quick at the bar - no table service. I don t know about other nights of the week, can t imagine it s much more than country simple, but Wednesday is BYO food - this place isn t about the food. There was scant staff and they worked hard, the band was GREAT and the guests very happy. I d do it again in a heartbeat! Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome, and should be well mannered - the grills could be VERY dangerous.

Love this venue, the bands they bring in are top notched. Did not realize this venue existed until one of my favorite country music singers T. G. Sheppard was in town, went to the show and absolutely loved the atmosphere. The next weekend the Bellamy Brothers came to town, we went to see them as well. Amazing. This past weekend we were there for The Kentucky Headhunters, Friday and Pat Green with a special treat of American Idol contestant Kate Watson on Saturday. Like I said TOP NOTCHED entertainment. Great people running this bar, and awesome people serving the clientel there. I do have a shout out to Tyler, who was one of the bartenders, She is one of the best Ive seen or have been served by. She deserves kudos. We will be back soon. Thanks 11th Street Cowboy Bar, The Best Little Honky Tonk in Texas.

Oh what a night! I m a native Texan and can now say I ve been to the Cowboy Capital of the World! I recommend 11th Street Cowboy Bar Wednesday night dinner for a fun evening. Their website doesn t have a lot of details so here is my takeaway for what we will do on our next visit. 1. Reserve a table ahead of time. Call the week before and secure reservations. They will tape off a table with your name on it. We arrived at 6:15pm and had a hard time finding a table for the 6 of us. 2. Admission is $2 per person. Side plate with baked potato and salad is an additional $6 per person. CASH ONLY! But they have ATMs available. 3. Bring your own meat. We brought steaks, asparagus, and cheese & crackers (someone brought sausage to grill which looked delicious). We also brought bottles of wine (They now offer a full bar). While they supply paper plates, seasonings and grilling utensils, we opted to bring our own. They start the charcoal grills around 5:30pm. The grill was extremely hot so it took skill to cook without burning the steaks. 4. We brought meat, asparagus, appetizers, extra napkins/paper towels, steak knives, plastic wine glasses, wine, wine opener, water bottles, tablecloth and grilling utensils. Their policy on what you can bring in might be different now. So be sure to check with them. 5. Weather is super important. The majority of the seating is open air. I wouldn t bother coming if it is raining. So here s my schedule suggestion - Call the week before to secure a table. Show up around 30 minutes after they start the grills. Summer hours are different and begin after Easter. If you didn t plan early enough to reserve a table I would suggest calling to find out when the doors open and arrive early. Find your reserved table, throw a tablecloth on it and enjoy the appetizers you brought while drinking wine/beer. Enjoy the band and dance on the sawdust sprinkled dance floor. After the grills are at the right temperature cook your meat and vegetables. Stand in the line to get your potatoes and salad. Enjoy your dinner. Be sure to talk with the people around you. We met a family from Australia who came to Bandera just for Wednesday night steak dinner!

Its a nice honky-tonk bar and music venue with some historic value. Home to bandera mardi gras party every year. Good stage and dancefloor. Top rate gorgeous bartenders ,good drinks and music. The new owners are good people with good intentions and theyre definitely adding to the potential of the venue overall.

Went there earlier in the day just to see the place. Bad idea, the regulars there were not welcoming towards us. Realizing were not from around Texas, they were less than friendly towards us...

Super nice place. I love getting to have a delicious beer after a few tiring hours of riding a motorcycle. You can also enjoy live music at night. Super well cared for in this place, it will make you return as many times as you can. Super recommended

Disappointed in seeing the changes. Spoke with one of the new owners a few months back about what changes were coming and was told some lies. Been there a few times in the past month and it was dead. They added the sale of liquor killing the byob. They took down the bras, took out the fire pit as well as some of the seating. Most of the nostalgia and history of the place is gone now. It used to be a nice mix of biker and cowboy setting but now the biker feel is gone. Thats what happens when a group of non local city folks buy up a nice local place and try to convert it into a draw for non locals.

Great place ! New owners should listen to locals more though . They are what will keep you in business during slow times. Keep it old school and local !!!! Dont change anything else. Miss the fire pit . Was better before closed in with plastic . Fire pit was enough to keep it warm and was a gathering spot. Country people like fires !!!

Celebrated my nieces 21st birthday @ 11th Street Cowboy Bar on Steak Night (every Wednesday Night) It was freezing but they had stand-alone outdoor heaters everywhere to keep you warm. They have a Full bar & of course Cold Beer! They offer a side set-up of baked potato, side salad, dressing, utensils & a Roll (for only $8 bucks) We got to cook our own steaks on a Texas sized BBQ pit, listened to live country music & drank many beers. What an amazing night! Had a blast!

What an iconic place to spend an evening. Wednesdays are steak night by the way so bring a steak (wood fired grills all around to cook on), seasoning etc and buy a baked potato and salad and tuck in for a fun evening of music, friends new and old and a setting that you can only get in Bandera. Or, if you prefer to just sit in the corner and nurse a few longnecks, the friendly cast of characters that roll through will make you glad you are fly-on-the-wall for the local politics, tall tales, and thinly veiled pickup lines in your own modern day cowboy bar series. Love this place and cant wait to come back on my next trip.

Wow, what a great place to visit! We stopped in on steak night. The cost was $8 a person to use their grill, plus a baked potato and salad. The potato was really good! The grills were very hot and cooked our steak perfectly. The music was also good, it was a great night for us.

Great vibes at this classic Texas honky tonk. Friendly people and comfortable surroundings. Four of us plus two dogs sat outside and had a few beers, met some locals, and a few travelers like us. Well be back for some boot scooting another time.

Their drinks are not very good at all. They do not know how to make a Long Island Iced Tea! They do not know how to make a Texas iced tea! There are several bartenders in there and I went to a different bartender each time and each time my drink sucked. Other than that the 11th Street Cowboy Bar is a nice place to go to. All Outdoors but covered. Very comfortable in good weather.

Mark Stewart band from 2-5 today. What great fun! What great music. Singing along, softly of course, but cant remember when so many tunes hit my memory so strongly. Thanks, Mark Stewart and 11th Street bar for the memory jog. Also enjoyed the dancers, remembered when that was me out there. So fun
