You might think if you are going to a plant-based restaurant, you will leave hungry, you will probably be wrong. We had the 7-course menu, and we were uncomfortably full. Twice I told our server to take my plate before I start to lick it clean. The food was stunningly presented, served with grace and care with each course explained in detail. My wife and I have separate dietary issues. She placed the reservation and added her info and forgot mine. I explained my situation and they adjusted on the spot. Each bite was an explosion of flavors like none weve had before. My favorites were the Gazpacho which was light and refreshing with a touch of heat. The tomato water gel in the bottom of the Garden dish was simply wonderful. The Calabria was amazing, and the Romanesco sauce was to die for. I am not a fan of Kombucha but tried the kombucha poached peaches and loved it. Looking back at the overall experience and tastes, Id have to say after living in the Austin area for almost 5 years, this is probably the best meal Ive had. Ive spent more in other establishments that may have better ambiance but cannot come close to the flavor experience. We will be coming back. Vegetarian options: These will probably be the tastiest vegetarian food you will have. Dietary restrictions: They were very flexible and accommodating for all dietary restrictions we presented. Parking: Lots of free parking on the street.

For a small space, they really make the most of it and it doesnt feel crowded. The. Plants and natural light help. Summer menu dropped on Thursday and it does not disappoint. The server was great attentive and cordial. The chefs told us happy anniversary on our way out which was a nice touch. The Amouse bouche set the tone for a wild ride of textures colors and tastes. So much care and concern for every aspect. It is so hard to believe this place is vegan because of the richness and textures they create. We already started saving for November when the fall menu drops. The Tonka bean peaches and cream was bomb and not pictured. Vegetarian options: Completely vegan Dietary restrictions: Not for folks with a nut allergy. Theres a disclaimer on the menu because of the use of seeds in the kitchen. Wheelchair accessibility: You can get in the front seating section but there are 3 stairs up into the larger dining area.

If you re vegan, Fabrik is worth traveling a few hours for. And if you re not vegan, Fabrik will be better than most non-vegan tasting menus anyway. In my non-official opinion, I think Fabrik operates at the one Michelin star level. I d much sooner return to Fabrik for the $85 tasting menu than some starred restaurants that cost twice as much. Each dish focused on a flavor profile and executed it well. The meal completely avoided the trap of meat dish but make it vegan . The service was the opposite of stuffy white tablecloth dining: fun, casual, even joining in on the laughs. Strong recommend.

Planning a semi-intimate & cozy date night? Fabrik is definitely your go to place! A safe haven for vegans with heavenly delights. Amazing service! They explain the smallest of nuances in your dish. The flavor of each dish stays and your senses will crave for more. Their 7 course tasting menu is just wonderful. You ll be surprised with the simplicity of the dish but overcome by joy due to its taste. Without a second thought, Fabrik is the best Vegan Restaurant in town. Do visit and enjoy the food and the ambience.

If youre reading reviews trying to decide, you should do it. The food is amazing, the service is top notch, and the atmosphere is great. Prepare to be delighted and enjoy. We had the 7 course tasting with wine pairing. I really enjoying having some wines that I would normally not choose, all of them were fantastic. It was hard to pick a favorite dish, each on shined in a different way. Mary was super tentative, but never intrusive.

When I told friends that my husband and I were going to a vegan micro restaurant people joked that he was a good sport for being willing to go. Turns out the joke was on them because he said it was one of the best meals he has had in a long time! Neither of us is vegetarian or vegan but I had read great things about Fabrik when browsing the internet for places to dine while we were in town. Though unassuming from the outside, this restaurant really is a hidden gem. We opted for the 7 course tasting menu and there wasnt a single bite that I didnt really enjoy. If it wasnt clearly marketed as a vegan restaurant, I honestly would have had no idea. The dishes were as inventive and delicious as they were beautiful. My favorite dish of the night, if I HAD to pick one, would be the carrot gnocchi. It was fluffy and creamy with just the right amount of spice from the sichuan peppercorn. Service was evenly paced through the 2 hour dining window and each dish was elaborately described as it arrived at the table. My only disappointment is that we dont live in Austin so we wont get to try the new summer menu in August. P.S. For anyone wondering, neither my husband or myself was still hungry when we left, portions were great!

However, if you can get me to eat to eat & love vegetarian and want to come back is already high praise. This place is totally unpretentious, the food & wine are served to you in an exploratory fashion; unlike similar establishments in Austin. I can t wait to support the owning duo in their endeavors each season as the menu changes.

3.75/5 stars - We had a reservation for the 7 courses, which were 5 savory courses, a palate cleanser, and a dessert. The food was consistent and very good overall, the service was excellent. I feel the value to the price is a bit off.. I wouldn t count the palate cleanser as a course. Kimchi wonton crisp: crunchy and flavorful Grilled pineapple: very unique Focaccia: it was ok. The bread was fresh, the spreads were mild Turnip cigars: our favorite bite, so light and refreshing, yet flavorful Grilled mushrooms: very good Roasted carrot gnocchi: not for me, a bit too sweet Volcanic lemon gelato: really good Strawberry cake: just ok

One of a kind! 100% plant based delectable food. Good location. I recently tried the winter 7-course tasting menu and totally loved it. I have never had a tastier plant based elaborate meal. The chef has very thoughtfully curated the menu. Kudos to her! The restaurant is small and simple. The service was fabulous and the communication through the reservation process and prior to getting to the restaurant was very clear and helpful. Since it s a limited capacity restaurant, I recommend booking in advance. My favorite was the filling in the dumpling and the ricotta cheese. Oh also, they gave us drinks because they knew it was our anniversary. Super nice of them. It was around $100 per person after taxes. And drink cost extra. It s a seasonal menu. So they have a new course 4x a year.

The ONLY comment we had while we were there is how much more potential the space has. Its so intimate inside which was lovely. In my search for a fine dining restaurant with vegetarian options, this restaurant had newly opened and I was so thrilled to try somewhere that is fine dining and fully vegan. There was free street parking, restrooms around the back of the building. The actual restaurant is very intimate, seating for 14-16 and the entire show is run by 4 staff and 2 tasting times in one evening, which amazed me. My server was phenomenal, he was kind, knowledgable, welcoming, and just overall excited to be there serving this food. He went above and beyond to bring a birthday candle in my final course and to box things up for me when I couldnt consume another bite. Everything was so filling, be careful with the bread course, that is what did me in! The colors and flavors were bright, playful textural components. I had to keep reminding myself the ingredients are all vegan. My favorite course was the carrot tartare and second favorite being the agnolotti. I love that the menu changes with the seasons and highlights ingredients that are available at the time. I did the 7 course tasting menu, it was well worth the experience. Looking forward to what Fabrik puts out and I would definitely return for a special occasion.

Best place to eat with your eyes! Very creative pairings of flavours colour and texture in every course and all plant based ! Server was knowledgeable and informative. Extremely professional. It is a small intimate experience with limited space (mainly tables for 2 and one for 4 i think) and only 2 seatings (6p and 830p) i believe weds to sun. Has an exclusive feel. Wine selection was excellent and they have orange wine! We loved the carrot tartare and homemade focaccia with porcini butter. We asked if we could buy just the butter its THAT good! I enjoyed the wonton tartlette amuse bouche with squash and green apple petite gâteau with apple compote and rosemary sable. I m not vegan at all, but this spot was super impressive because plant-based fine dining doesn t rely on flavors of animal protein, so they get creative and come up with some cool takes on classic fine dining dishes, such as carrot tartare (rather than beef tartare)! It was also really nice that the menu was seasonally inspired and sourced. We are definitely going back as often as we can!

We came here for our anniversary dinner and was extremely impressed! The venue was small and intimate with seating for about 14-16 people, which was perfect. Service was impeccable, and the attention to detail stood out on its own. We did the fixed price 7-course meal with a nice bottle of wine. Drinks were refilled before they were even close to being empty. The menu offered seasonal items that were put together in a way that enhanced the delicate ingredients with a twist of complexity and uniqueness. It was a privilege to experience the chefs creativity and form of art in this way. Highly recommended for anyone who can appreciate an excellent meal, even if you dont always eat vegan. This is a real treat and should be experienced at least once.

Went to Fabrik for my birthday Wednesday night. This is the plant based restaurant Austin has been missing! Finally, a place to go when you want something exquisite and thoughtful. To back up: I received a call that they needed to cancel my reservation because they were doing maintenance that day and OpenTable wasnt correctly marked off. When I expressed disappointment because it was my birthday, they worked it out to stay open. Hows that for class and service? The food was extraordinary; every bite was filled with the chefs obvious love for food; wine amazing; and service outstanding. I know some people said the food was not enough... I left stuffed. While I did wish there was more of every offering, thats only because it was so delicious. I think perhaps they were playing with their portion sizes since they are new. Yummmm. Still thinking about it days later.

We did the 7-course tasting menu and it was insane. Dank gochujang mushroom medley on savory potato cauliflower? Yes please. Poached cherries on cashew cheesecake with panna cotta make from some South American bean thats like vanilla but sweeter? Sign me up. Fresh bread that somehow tastes like cheese bread even though its vegan? I asked if I could come by during the day just to buy a loaf and the answer was no because Chef J makes everything single-handedly by herself and shes not running a bakery. Definitely not cheap, but youre getting hiiiigh end grub. Hit this up. Vegetarian options: complete fire all-vegan menu Dietary restrictions: vegan and largely gluten free

The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish made me reconsider what my favorite was, but I definitely fell in love with the pasta entrée. Service was above and beyond, for example my wife has issues with spicy, and the chef over heard us and offered to make a new dish without the chili oil. We made comments about wishing we saved bread to get every last bit of the sauces, so they brought us more. Entire evening was phenomenal. Vegetarian options: Fully vegan menu, including wines Dietary restrictions: Great for everyone, but especially vegans

Went to Fabrik a couple of weeks ago and it was fantastic! I don t follow a plant based diet, and this was one of the best meals I ve ever had. The experience was great too, the meals were so well thought out and the service was top notch. Great drink options to pair with, especially non alcoholic wines for those who don t consume alcohol. Already have another reservation when friends come into town. Must go and one of a kind in Austin.

I loved every bit of this experience. I selected the 7 course dinner with the wine pairing. All of the dishes were wonderful. I loved the balance of each one - tangy with sweet and nutty, umami with bright herbs, and tart cherry with rich, creamy cheese. Truly lovely. The wine pairing also offered a great variety of flavors and styles that were well paired with each dish. Cant wait to try all of the seasonal menus.

My wife an I had an excellent experience at Fabrik. The menu was thoughtful, varied, and absolutely delicious. Austin has been sorely lacking a high-end plant-based restaurant, and Fabrik fills that void with aplomb. Please support this lovely space so they may thrive and grow in Austin for years to come.

Really nice tasting menu experience! We were served by the owner himself. The atmosphere was great, I sat next to the window which had a little privacy cover which I thought was a nice touch. The food was excellent and the wine pairings were very nice! The desert wine was my favorite. I was able to have foods I havent had in a while because they usually arent vegan and arent easily made - brioche, seaweed caviar, crème fraîche, etc. I recently had a vegan tasting menu at a Michelin star place in the Cotswolds - this little place in Austin, TX definitely rivaled it! We will be back for the next seasons menu. Vegetarian options: All vegan Dietary restrictions: All vegan Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, sidewalk level. Door is not automatic, though.

Ate here last night w my husband. Holy smokes it was awesome. Not only the vibe (thank you for no kids! Thank you for limiting the number of people! That made the small intimate atmosphere enjoyable versus screaming babies or loud large parties), but the food and wine. The wine menu is off the chain. I had two glasses of the sauv blanc (S Africa) and my husband had the German brut and also one of the reds (Mouderve or something spelling is off but you ll know when you see it). Incredible. We do enjoy good wines, and are disappointed with some vegan places in Austin offering super low quality natural wines or whatever the fad is. These are absolutely insanely awesome. I can t wait to go back and try the different wines. The food was also delicious! I will say if you are a very big eater, you may be hungry after I ate an afternoon snack and was comfortably full after the 6pm seating. I think anything more I could have eaten, but I would have been full to beyond full. The portions are very micro, but gorgeous and carefully placed. I think the timing of the courses was perfect, allowing us to enjoy a course, digest it, and have a sip of wine before the next course arrived. It s clear the food is made with love. I can t wait to return! Parking: Parking on side street. Tons of parking.

So excited to try Fabrik. My husband (not vegan) and myself (vegan) were both blown away by the food and the kind, welcoming environment created by the owners. The wine was delicious, they offer good non alcoholic options (wine and beer), and each course was interesting, flavorful, and beautiful. Given the fact that they just opened, I was ready to experience some natural bumps that you would expect at a brand new restaurant - poor timing on the food, forgetting drinks, or being too overwhelmed to check in. On the contrary, the courses were timed perfectly to allow a bit of anticipation without wondering if they forgot about you, the team was very present to where you could order your next round as needed but not feel overburdened, and you got the sense that everyone was truly just excited to be there. My only complaint is that I dont know how I will live in a world where I cannot eat that pasta dish every day, but Ill figure it out. Cant wait to go back! Vegetarian options: Fully vegan restaurant, but dont let that deter you - the menu is thoughtful and delicious!

still working some kinks out but i had a wonderful experience. 16 seats and pretty affordable for a pre fixe vegan dining experience at under $100 for 6 courses. ie. 6 courses at eleven madison park in NY is almost $300 before wine pairing or gratuity. interesting selection of drinks (no cocktails i think?). but cool wines. good food, really enjoyed bread course, creme fraiche in amuse bouche course, and the cheesecake in the dessert course. only one bathroom stall and it is not connected to the restaurant inside (take like 20 sec to walk there) but inconvenient.
