Great food and fast service! The jalapeño ranch is a must try! The chikn used tastes a bit like a veggie burger, which may have some appeal to those not ready for a full fledged meat substitute. There are some outdoor seating areas, but probably better off eating in a car during this hot weather. Dietary restrictions: vegan food truck

Atmosphere is gorgeous. A nice picnic area with the gorgeous views of Austin. The server was really nice, and he took a while, but I liked his style. The Bacon Cheeseburger was decent, but the jalapeno ranch chicken was disgusting. It tasted sumptuously like nothing and a jumble of uncomplementing flavors. The seitan was decent on its own, but the whole sandwich was a fail. The mac and cheese was brown, oily, and a solid clump, with like no cheese. I m disappointed. Parking: About a dozen parking spots. There s a lot of pot holes

The food the was pretty basic since I had to add my own seasoning. They also shut off the fryer by the time we arrived so we couldn t get fries, tots, or anything. I ordered the Bac N Cheeseburger and a side of Mac. The burger was just okay, but once I added the jalenpeno ranch (which wasn t spicy), it leveled it up a bit! The Mac definitely needs some seasoning. Once I was back at the Airbnb, I added some onion powder, garlic powder, and salt which made it more edible. The nachos were actually pretty good. The frito pie was also good but spicier than expected especially since it isn t marketed as spicy. So don t order if you don t like spice. My other friend also enjoyed the ranch wrap but its pretty large. The atmosphere was pretty cool too since we went into the bar while we waited.

Im very conflicted about this review because I adore Arlos. I love their food, and they are one of the few places thats Veg thats open late. Unfortunately, theyve got some issues. Number one: food inconsistency. The last 3 times Ive been here Ive gotten a different amount of fries and each time its somehow less than the last time. Last time we were there, my husband and our friend picked the order and there was only one bunch of fries in the basket when we ordered 2. We asked the person working there that we only got one fry and they told No, its actually two. Uh, what in the gaslighting?! My most recent Hoss order was half the size of every single other time Ive gotten it. Shrinkflation or bad management? You decide! Second and very related is staffing issues, theyve consistently had only 1 or 2 people working on the busiest nights where they really need at least a third. This translates into very slow service, mistakes in the orders, and ornery/ stressed/overworked staff. You can really see it on their faces (and when they argue with you about how no, there are really 2 baskets of fries in you bag, when theres actually only one...) Something isnt right here, and since its hard to pin down exactly what, I bet its management. Come on yall, pay people a living wage and get more people on the clock for shifts you know will be busy.

Always a good late night meal ;) do try to place your order 45min-60min before closing, they will close orders closer to closing time.

I appreciate the fact that s it s all vegan, but both the burger and hawt dog were too spicy for me. Granted, I m weak. My middle name should be weaksauce, so my thoughts should come with a grain of salt when making your decision to come here or not. But for those of you out there who love flavor without the heat, you might want to o skip here burger & hawt dog.

If you had asked me to rate this place 6 months ago, I would have said 4/5, if you had asked me to rate it 2-5 years ago when I first tried it, I would have given it a 10000/5. Like broke the scale good. Today, 3/5 sadly. Quality of the food and the service has been consistently decreasing over time. The last time I was there, about a week ago, my food was cold, my bacn cheezeburger had no bacon, and my tots were undercooked, the wrap my friend ordered had almost no veggies or sauce and consisted of a pattie wrapped in a cold tortilla wrap. We had to wait 45 minutes for our meal. There was only 1 person working so I don t blame them for the quality. Maybe people would want to work if they were paid adequately? Idk. I used to come here any time I wanted a delicious, greasy treat and I wish I still wanted to go.

I used to LOVE Arlos. Past tense. The customer service here is abysmal. The last three times I tried to get a burger between 10pm and 11pm, they dont pick up the phone, and then when I drive 15 mins there to check, theyre closed. On one of these occasions, I asked an employee if I could order, and he couldnt have been more rude about it. Ignored me asking him twice before finally muttering some rude comment about how they were obviously closed. At 10:45pm. Even though their hours are until midnight. Id understand if it were 11:55pm, but its over an hour before close, and he already had the truck closed, so he probably shut it down at 10:30pm. You can make Michelin star food, but bad customer service will still kill your restaurant. I used to include Arlos in my regular rotation of vegan spots, but now, I dont even bother, and I tell others to do the same. I hate to write such a negative review of a local vegan spot, but if you cant hire competent workers with passable customer service skills.... I dont know what to tell you. Vegan/vegetarian options are plentiful in this city. I wont be going back to Arlos any time soon, unfortunately.

Finally, I had the chance to try Liquid Death thanks to Arlos. This was my first time trying them, and i definitely enjoyed it. my burger and sweet potatoes were great despite calling ahead too early on our way up from San Antonio. But even then, the food was great, and if you get the chance to, eat it in the Spider House. Spider House was a cool place to dance, but if youre worried about our current state, there is optional outdoor seating. Update, weve been back to Arlos a couple more times since last year. Traveling up from San Antonio just to have a burger from them should speak volumes. Eating with someone who has a food allergy can be challenging and risky. Yes, we could just stay home and play it safe. But everyone needs a break from school and work sometimes. So its been our nice, safe getaway. Thank yall for the great vegan food. Keep up the great work.

Made me violently ill after eating. I got the jalapeño chickn burger with fried pickles- started getting an upset stomach feeling during and after I was finished eating, I thought maybe it was just because it was greasy food. The feeling increased, then when I got home about 4 hours later I was vomiting everything up. My partner had a different order, sweet fries and a frito burger, and did not get sick. Still sick right now as my body is absolutely rejecting this food.

The mac and cheese tastes just like if you threw a ton of oil and nutritional yeast on something. The sweet potato fries were great and I preferred them to the tots, which were good too. I enjoyed my fake chicken sandwich. The Jalapeno Chikn Sandwich (the hot version of the fake chicken sandwich) is not very hot actually. They have sriracha they can put on the side if you want. The cheeseburger is decent too. I think a lot of their meals taste pretty average, have a lot of fat in them so they taste decent, and yeah theyre vegan which is cool. Nothing too outstanding but some good choices and its vegan.

It s a very nice part of town with a hipster vibe. There was plenty of parking either in their lot or on the street. I got the Frito Pie Burger and it was FABULOUS!!! We ordered a couple of Chipotle Chikn burgers, the pickle chips, nachos and fries. First off their portion sizes are huge, not a bad thing at all. Just something to keep in mind, we figured food truck, smaller portion sizes, nope. The burgers were absolutely perfect, loved every bite. Deep fried pickle chips are always awesome. The nachos were delicious. I think next time its a burger or nachos, theyre both a meal. Next time were in Austin well be visiting again. Thanks for the great meal!! The food here looks delicious but unfortunately just doesnt deliver on taste or satiety. The macn cheez came out clumpy, the flavors they used clashed with the nutritional yeast. The burger was alright but didnt compare in taste to meat alternatives like Beyond. By the end of the meal we didnt feel satisfied from the food, and wound up getting another small meal elsewhere. Theres vegan options with good taste and nutritional value, this place wasnt one of them. That being said, everyone there was nice and the vibe was great. Id go out to eat by the Ballroom again

Good food, sometimes certain employees are just absolutely not paying attention whatsoever but the foods really good Edit: its never the same employee more than twice so I guess theres a high turn over rate or they constantly switch locations so my previous statement is irrelevant. Foods still my favorite.

The mac and cheese was okay, but their frito burger, the ranchhand, and sweet potato fries are great! They also have a good drink selection while you wait.

Loved the vegan options here! The pickle chips and burgers were great. The only thing we didnt really care for were the fries, which were bland and thin. Absolutely would be back for the pickle chips though.

Had the bac n cheeseburger last night and it was juicy, flavourful, and filling without it being too much. I also overheard another customer exclaim this is the best burger in Austin and I m not even vegan and I absolutely agree, except that I m vegetarian and I think Arlo s does a splendid job making vegan food accessible. I don t normally leave reviews but my meal compelled me. Definitely coming here again.

Wondered over to this food truck while we were waiting for our food to be ready from another food truck in the same lot. We were excited to find out all the trucks were vegan. Their menu looked so good that we had to order the Mac n cheese boat. We will definitely be back to try more! It was so bomb!! I hardly got a photo because my husband said hurry because it looked so good and he wanted to dig in.

Saucey. Flavorful. Satisfying af. I had the Hawt Dog and Chipotle Chicken sandwich. The Hawt Dog was fire and I highly recommend. The wiener was crispy on the outside and moist inside. Usually when I have vegan wieners they tend to be dry. This one was juicy and actually had a little kick. The jalenpeno ranch they put on top is top notch. Its creamy. The corn, carrots, and cabbage add a nice crunch. The truck itself is parked next to a local bar that has comedy shows. They have picnic bench seating. Around the corner, there are other vegan food trucks. 5/5

Vegan from my head to-ma-toes Highlights: Vegan burger Crispy Tots Mac & Cheese on a burger Review: Highly recommended spot by one of my coworkers which was not a miss-steak. Let s start with the tots which were crispy, salty, well seasoned, hot and perfectly soft in the center. Now for the Cheezeburger, it was full of flavor, hints of smokiness, seasoned to perfection, charred, nuttiness from the cheeze, acidity from the pickles, saltiness from the bac n, great texture from the patty and the Mac & Cheeze added some amazing creaminess to elevate it. Can t wait to try their other vegan menu items. Rating: 8/10 BACN CHEEZEBURGER (Add Mac) - House made soy free & gluten free patty, stacked with house-made seitan bacn, melted cheeze, ketchup. mustard, mayo. tomatoes, onions, pickles. and lettuce. Side of Tots

The worse food I ve ever paid money for and I m not exaggerating at all, it truly was the most disappointing meal I ve ever had in my life. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else. Place can t even make an edible Mac and cheese . It s truly inexcusable and an embarrassment of an establishment.

NEVER AGAIN!!! Beware of the daytime Girl working there on Tuesdays.Terrible experience. I have been ordering from Arlos for the past 5 years; Never had any problem with anything and everything always have been Superb but when I went to pick my order up today Frito Pie and bacon cheese burger Frito pie had all the toppings missing like Pico and chipotle Mayo things that it should come with so I went there to tell her that the toppings are all missing , she gets confrontational and argumentative with me that those don t come with the frito pie literally arguing with me. When I ordered I didn t leave the tip during the online order because I had cash so I was going to leave the tip cash in the container. Well then I started eating the bacon cheese burger and half way through , I had something hitting my teeth and once I rub the food off it, it was a Nail. How would a nail get in the Burger?

We were in town and googled vegan food to be surprised with how many options there were, but arlos was the top recommendation from Google and our friends. We met up with meat eating friends who usually dont eat vegetables and even they enjoyed their meal!! Everything we got was delicious! So many Options, even Texas BBQ. 10/10 recommend!
