5/5 cheese enchiladas - im usually a chicken enchiladas girlie, but this was recommended, and are probably the best cheese enchiladas ive ever had. No complaints on rice & beans either. Plenty of sauce. Came with tortillas too. I loved everything about this dish. Plus its so affordable!! Must get! 5/5 chips & salsa - the chips by themselves have the right amount of salt. The salsa gets pretty spicy the more you eat it, had me huffin and puffin a little how it should be :p Service is really slow. But the drink lady is really fast lol.

Ordered beef enchiladas. They were so bad, I sent them back after one bite. The two enchiladas were resting in a soup of sauce, not just a lot of sauce, it was a bowl of sauce. The tops of the enchiladas were burned and bare, no sauce or melted cheese. The filling was minimal. When I complained, the server argued that everyone loves their enchiladas and stated how many years theyve been making them. Whatever... Im a 52yo native Texan who cooks enchiladas for my family. Dont try to pass off burnt soup with dry tortillas as enchiladas to me. I paid for my drink and left. The guy next to me said he only goes there for the frozen margs, and he suggested a place down the street, where I had a great lunch. Review for that coming next.

As I approached the entrance at 2pm I noticed people sitting by the front entrance. This made me think they are on the waiting list. So I walked in and no waiting list and we were seated right away. I ordered tea and the Chef Special plate. They brought out complementary chips and some really good and spicy salsa. When the plate arrived it was huge and the food was piled high. From start to finish everything was delicious, cooked perfectly, and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. Inside the place looked like it has been around for a while but clean. The waitress was helpful and courteous. What I liked the most was the price and the huge portions. As I was leaving notice again different set of people waiting outside by the front never figured out what that was about? Either way this is a great place to enjoy Mexican food.

I have never had this happen to me before out of all the times I have been to Enchiladas Y Mas. Me and my husband went there on Saturday June 8 around 12. We split the bill and my husband put the tip on his. I just looked at my bank statement and my part was 26.11 and I know this because I wrote it down in my check register when I got in the car. I guess the one time I forgot to cross the tip line out, this would happen. Well, the amount on my statement is 31.11 5 dollars more. I am feeling some type of way about it because whoever did it basically stole from me. And if they have done it to me, I know that someone else has had it done to them also. Whoever it was I hope the money helps you because obviously I guess you needed it. Me and my husband ALWAYS tip more than we should whenever we go. This is just disappointing however this too shall pass

So this review is coming from a HUGE FAN of enchiladas y mas! I ve been coming here for the past 12 years easily! An amazing hidden gem of a restaurant, so when I say it hurts me to write this review truly it does! Me and my family come here to eat atleast 2-3 a month. Never had any issues. Ever. I ordered a fajita salad. I ate the guacamole on the outer side with the chips, and then started eating the salad all mixed together and noticed the meat was really cold. Like not cooked all the way. So I gave it the benefit of the doubt and took a few more bites, when I noticed the meat was just cold, I asked if there was a way to possibly re make the salad. I was told no because I had finished the whole salad already basically. I asked what could be done and they said they could bring me a fajita taco out so I could put some meat and mix it with the cold meat. By the actual owner. I was legit hurt because this is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. Truly. I gave it 2 starts because I plan on giving it another chance, maybe she was having a bad day or something, but I was just in awe that they didn t want to do anything about it and told me nothing would be done since my whole salad was finished.

This place reminded me of the Tex Mex I grew up with in West Texas. I was impressed with the chips and salsa and wonderfully stuffed crispy tacos. We didnt think the margaritas were special and very small. The largest disappointment was the commercial made tortillas. Fresh tortillas would have made this 5 star. I will go back and hope to bring other family members for the hit of nostalgia and pretty good food.

I have both dined in and used takeout for both lunch and dinner. Parking: Not much of it, and there needs to be more handicapped parking near the door as well as at least one takeout space!

Good enchiladas, frozen ritas. Today was a bad experience. Food was like hot. I ordered my usual senior plate. The waiter took my order. The cheese enchiladas were beef. I never heard from the waiter again. The check was never brought. I had to go to the check out counter which was unmaned. After several minutes the waiter showed up and said they bring my ticket to the table. Not usually. He showed a condescending attitude . I ordered two 3$ happy hour margaritas. I ate the senior plate which was less than 8$. 8+6 is 14$. The late delivered ticket was 21$+. I was ripped off. I gave him 25$ and left. Ive been eating there since 2001. They lost my business today. One bad employee.

I so excited to try this place, and left so disappointed. Not only is the food super meh, but it s also so loud, it s hard to hear anyone you are with. It was also way pricier than I would expect. I ordered the flautas, and they came bone dry, not even sour cream or queso fresco on them. That s never happened to me before. We also ordered guacamole and it was undersalted and missing a lot of lime and flavor. There are so many incredible Mexican restaurants in Austin. No need to spend your money on this overhyped joint.

As a Mexican descendant, i will say we each have our own way of making are mexican dishes based on how our abuela taught us. It will vary from household to household and this is what i have to say about this experience. Lets start with the good my friends and peers love this place. They highly recommended it. I personally given up trying to find quality authentic Mexican food, but this was really close. I got the comida regular, enchiladas were spot on tasty, very cheesy. My complaint on this plate were the beans. They were refried, i love refried, but lacked all the seasoning, salt, etc. just bland. Probably a bad batch, will try again soon. With the comida regular comes a taco. I was excited, its not my grandma s style of crispy tacos, but it had all the things i d expect from a mexican taco . First bite into the ground beef was COLD, not warm but cold, i took a bite from the other side, thinking the lettuce chilled that sidd a bit, other side was just as cold. I waited to tell the waitress my compaint, she never arrived to check on us until the end where she handed us our check. Additional comments: GF got the nacho plate, pretty pricey for bare cheese and tortilla chip plate with steak, but the steak cuts were Gooood! Probably not worth it, its competitively priced for sure but i can see myself make exceptions for it in the near future. Margaritas, dont ask for a margarita on the rocks. You will get gypped. Its like a 8oz glass filled with rocks and some margarita for 7.75. When you can get frozen for the same price in whats obviously a bigger glass. (12-16oz). GF was definitely annoyed about that. I would have been too. Atmosphere, a busy mexican restaurant what did you expect??

We were not misbehaving, rude, loud or offensive in any way. We were all older adults at the table. This has never happened to me before. Ever. I guess since they have people waiting in a line out the door for mediocre food, they dont need our business. Will not be going back. Ever. Enchiladas NO Mas. Chose to eat here for lunch. The parking lot is rather small and we had to wait for a spot to open up. Once seated we were served quickly, the menu was nowhere near as lengthy as most tex mex restaurants so choosing what we wanted was easy. Both my partner and I decided on the cheese enchiladas topped with meat sauce, our server was friendly and allowed us to make some small substitutions. The food was served shortly after ordering. Overall everything was good, no major complaints about any part of the meal. The rice and sauce were both seasoned well. The refried beans were average tex mex fare. And the cheese in the enchiladas was melty and hot.

This place is da bomb! Hard to find a parking spot though. Really good food and even though the place is crowded, they get you in quickly. Friendly staff. Highly recommend! Parking: Parking is limited, so you may have to park on the street.

I ve been coming to this restaurant since 2014. My go to place whenever I m in town for enchiladas and margaritas. The beef fajita nachos and cheese enchiladas are the best!! The food is always good whenever we come here, no complaints at all!! Parking: When it gets really busy, you sometimes have to park on the side of the street or across the street in another parking lot. It can be tight on occasion.

Nothing classy about this place. The service was very poor. I had to ask for an extra napkin and literally received one, I split in half. No extra plate for my fajitas and no straw. The steak was very chewy and could NOT eat. Flies in the dining area, that landed on my dish. Very disappointed in my experience for the 1st time. The place was recommended, but it s definitely a 1-2 , if that. There are better establishments out there!

Best deal for enchiladas in town. They even give chips and salsa with your Togo order. Definitely get food here! Only complaint would be that it doesn t appear they make their own tortillas or chips. Appear manufactured not bad but could be so much better. Food

I think that this place is just okay. It does have great reviews, but to me, the food wasnt where it should be. I ordered chicken tacos and the chicken tasted canned. That was the worst part. I did return it at no charge. The beef enchiladas were solid. The salsa for the chips was top notch and had a bit of spiciness. The house margarita was strong and tasty. My wife thought that the fajita plato was just okay. I think the rice was overcooked and that the peppers were a bit under. I did get a really good service and a good casual dining experience that was quick and seamless. Parking: Free lot surrounding the restaurant, probably could park for free at the gym and walk across the street if needed

Very bland ..ice tea was watered down with too much ice tasted like water no tea flavor at all. Tortillas were hard and cold.... definitely not home made. I asked for beef enchiladas...I got nothing but cheese and a few chunks of meat on top....im Hispanic and I know good texmex food....will never go back...Mr taco in Lockhart is waayyy better than most texmex in Austin.....casa Marias is really good in s.austin. but extremely pricey Habanero is good and priced decently, but theyre always rushing you to hurry up and get out.....

My husband and I stopped here for lunch today, we were in the mood for some Tex Mex and saw how many cars were outside, so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The service was great, the salsa was AMAZING, and everything else we had was delicious! We will definitely be going back.

Consistent. Food good and always comes out piping hot. Margaritas pretty good, though had a recent price increase. Lunch specials a bit better deal. Always friendly folks. Parking can be a pain. Wish they had an outdoor space. Inside is cramped and a bit small. Its been discovered. Vegetarian options: Rice and refried beans are vegetarian.

A true Mom and Pop place. The atmosphere is friendly and loud and the food was plentiful and good. Salsa was especially good as it had a kick. Parking: The street is fine as the side street isnt busy. Kid-friendliness: There were children in the restaurant which was fairly busy for a late lunch time. Kids would be no problem at all.
