Such a wonderful experience eating here. This was our first time and it will now be one of our regular spots. Food was so so so delicious and the staff was great! This is definitely going to be a go-to spot! Between the delightful service provided by Lindsey, the delectable italian tapas noms, and the attentive care provided by general manager Alex, MIA is a top-tier dining experience. My only regret, I was too enthusiastic to try each dish that I didnt take any photos to add to a review. The Fritto Misto had perfectly friend calamari, the Butternut Squash Agnolotti were to die for, the meatballs were a taste of home, and the tiramasu was heavenly. The wine selection Alex has prepared for the restaurant is worth the price of ordering a bottle.

My famly of 10 went and we had a blast. Great food, great wine, great service. The general manager in particular came over several times to ensure we were having a great night. I had a picky group - some vegetarians, kids with normal kids food fussiness, etc. But everybody had a great meal. There were also able to get 10 of us on a Saturday night. Great place!

Very nice restaurant! Great food, tons of options for folks with dietary restrictions, attentive service, and nice atmosphere. It s sleek and upscale yet friendly and down-home. Not cheap, but well worth it. I look forward to returning, when I can! Dietary restrictions: lots of gluten free options and they can easily modify many menu items for those of us who are lactose-intolerant.

Came for dinner here with my wife. Their lamb pasta is so damn good. The tuna crudo is very tasty too. My wife had the mushroom and truffle pizza and it was good and filling. I had the chocolate mousse, it was extraordinary. Service was excellent too. Great restaurant!

Hey Google Fam...I dont post a lot since I stopped traveling for work, but had to take some time to recognize this amazing restaurant! We spent the day up in the Domain , walking around, having drinks, and decided to come to Mia for dinner. It was a great experience, and the food was phenomenal. The perfect venue for any occasion. A friend and I came to celebrate our new jobs and it turned into a monthly tradition. Kelsey has the best recommendations and is in general just a joy! This place was amazing! The cocktails were great - the blueberry lemonade mocktail was SO yummy! And we tried lots of food and it was all scrumptious! The risotto balls had a little too much oregano (according to my date, who is a chef), but cooked well and the sauce was sweet and spicy. We also tried the scallops (delicious!) and the braised carrots (way yummier than I expected). Next we tried the meatballs - fabulous flavor- and the spaghetti bolognese, which was the best Ive had. I loved the noodles and the sauce was really flavorful. A man came by (I think he was the manager) and said the noodles were made fresh that day Service was also good - everyone was polite and helpful. Checked on us the right number of times. My only (very slight) complaint was that the host/hostess dont appear to wear uniforms or anything, so it was hard to identify who worked there when I had a question (this was only a slight delay). Oh, also, the brick and artwork are amazing to look at. It has a wonderful atmosphere! Definitely recommend and plan to go a 2nd time!

Food was immaculate! Our server, Kelsey, is prob one of the best service we ve ever had and we are huge foodies. She took care of our needs. Amazing recommendations on drinks, apps and told us all about popular dishes. Our friend that we celebrated her birthday is very allergic to shell fish and not only did Kelsey reassure us, the chef also came to explain how he kept a certain dish from containing any cross contamination. She also wrote a very sweet message on the take out container for her birthday. I cannot recommend this place enough. The whole package. The place is great! Our party of 7 arrived at 6:50 and was immediately seated upon arrival because everything was already ready. The staff were all so friendly as well. The whole restaurant was very cozy and clean, even the bathrooms! Food and drinks were also great. Only thing I will say as a con is just that the place is quite narrow so it did become a little crowded once dinner rush picked up and it did get pretty loud because of how close the proximity of others were, but that is very much up to personal preference. Overall would absolutely come again!

The place looked amazing from Rock Rose Ave at the Domain. We decided to give this place a shot on one of our date nights. I have to say I am so disappointed with the food that we decided to cu this trip short. We ordered the calamari and it came out over cooked where the breading was burnt. We also ordered the the grilled bread and it s was par. There were burnt pieces on the bread where I would have not served it. We also ordered some Watermelon Sangria and it did not taste good at all. At this point, we had enough and decided it was time to leave. No one asked if everything was okay, how was the food or anything like this.

My husband and I had a wonderful evening at Mia Italian Tapas courtesy of a contest we won from the Domain Northside instagram which featured a five course tasting menu and a bottle of wine. Walking through the door we felt welcomed and were escorted to a special table for us and greeted by the manager, Alex. Lindsey was our server and Chef came out later to say hi. We left feeling like family! Although they don t normally do this and the items we tried were not on the menu, I feel it is a great representation to the quality, creativity and love of the craft of Mia Tapas! We were blown away by each course, our favorite being the seafood risotto (which I could eat every meal and hope to see on the menu at this restaurant or their others)! The wine they picked out a delicious Chardonnay and bold Zinfandel paired perfectly with our courses. We capped it off with a delicious chocolate mouse and homemade limoncello. The atmosphere was great! Not a huge restaurant, but intimate with incredible natural light and semi-open kitchen. They have a small bar that has seating and know my husband and I will be back to enjoy their menu items and talk with the friendly staff! Thank you to Chef, Alex and his team! 10/10

Mia was a fantastic experience for a high quality Italian lunch. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, but decided to skip the brunch menu as the regular menu had too many interesting options. Arancini - these mini arancini balls are cooked to perfection with a tomato sauce that has a tiny bit of spice to it. Crispy on the outside, creamy and smooth on the inside - cant ask for better. Pan Seared Scallops - these scallops were also perfectly done, sitting on top of a risotto. The mixture of the lemon and parmigiano of the risotto balanced the scallops very well. Butternut Squash Agnolotti - yall, this dish was incredible. These little pockets of deliciousness are stuffed with butternut squash and topped with a citrus-y butter sauce that will immediately give you a sense of nostalgia for your favorite holiday food. Spaghetti Carbonara - this was a fantastic carbonara, super creamy without actually having any cream. The egg was cooked perfectly to mix in. Only comment here is that the pasta was cooked well done (which my wife prefers) so I would suggest if you want your spaghetti al dente, you will need to order it that way. Im not sure if it was the floor manager or the owner, but we were checked on multiple times and given recommendations by him. The only shame is that we live in Dallas - we will definitely be back the next time were in Austin!

Weve been to many authentic Italian restaurants over the years, and Mia fell really short especially when considering the amount of high reviews it has. We ordered the house red sangria, which was prepared by the weitress and had a bit of a medicine taste. It was difficult to actually taste the wine. The carbonara pasta was overcooked, and the pasta with shrimp (4 small shrimps and a huge plate of pasta) had an extremely overpowering red pepper sauce to the point we couldnt taste the actual shrimp, making it one of the worst pastas weve had. The only thing we ordered which we would recommend are the truffle fries. Lastly, service was also subpar. Our weitress did not come once to ask if the food was good or whether we needed anything else despite being seated in the center of the restaurant. She only took our order and went about her business. If you know your Italian food and are looking for authentic and great tasting Italian dishes, Id recommend looking elsewhere.

For tapas we had the bacon wrapped dates, the croquettes, and the butternut squash agnolotti. They were all different than youd expect from an regular Italian restaurant, very inventive and delicious. For main dishes we had spaghetti carbonara, lamb rigatoni, and the margherita pizza. They were all excellently prepared and presented. Desserts, tiramisu and gelato, were excellent. We were also impressed by their cocktails and wine selection. Overall we simply had a great time and plan to be back as soon as possible.

Not only is Phil a handsome chef, he also makes some mean tapas. The butternut squash tasted like heaven in my mouth, and the prosciutto bruschetta was the perfect balance of bread, meat, and balsamic vinaigrette. Will definitely be back!

Food was delicious and creative. We loved that there were lots of vegetarian and GF options. Dining room was on the smaller side and was a little loud, but not overly so. I enjoyed the food and our server was great. I forgot Her name, but we were seated near the front of the restaurant on the opposite the bar. It was a bit too noisy though at times. Overall, this was a great spot! We were a large group and they accommodated us last minute which we really appreciate For starters, we tried the Brussel Sprouts, Truffle Fries, Arancini, and Insalata Caprese. Everyone enjoyed them! No favorite among the group as they were all delicious. For sizing, we were a group of 12 sharing two of each and it worked out well. Once we got to the main meal, I shared a Spicy Italian Sausage. Loved the pizza and one of the hosts gave us the run down on how they make the custard in house, use a special sausage and specially prepared the cheese. It was a great pizza and I hope I remembered the above details correctly. Regardless, you won t go wrong with this. Among the group, we tried most of the pastas items. Everyone echoed the same thing, that they loved their dish. Take that for what you will and we hope you enjoy this spot as much as we did!!

Pros: - fig and bacon pizza was amazing, came in hot and had the right balance of flavors from sweet (fig) to salty (bacon) - chicken croquettes were very flavorful.I would order again. - service was good and our server checked in very often Cons: - red sangria was not tasty but it was strong int terms of the amount of alcohol in it.
