The empanadas were incredible. Chef Marvin puts cheese in them, a unique touch and the sauces are a great addition. Tried tostones for the first time and although I m not a huge fan of plantain I was very impressed with how flavorful and crispy they were. And although it was a hot day, the food park has great seating area that s shaded. Just be ware that the empanadas are made to order so they do take a bit to come out.

Ok. I love empanadillas! If you are looking for THE perfect empanadilla/pastelillo/empanada or turnover in English . You should definitely try The Doughminican s ground beef empanada! I m usually very hesitant to try the picadillo or ground beef at restaurants because it s usually flavorless, boring or with huge pieces of vegetables this one is flavor packed without being salty or spicy hot just delicious!

I found this food truck during the Austin Artisan Market event. The venue has plenty of outdoor seating shared with other food trucks. Get the empanadas! We tried both the beef and chicken, and they were delicious with a cheesy pull. My friends loved them so much that they went back for more. The portions were generous, and the sauces were flavorful. The staff member who took my order was very patient and nice. Parking: There is free street parking available.

We were on a quick visit in Austin and this place was one of the best we could choose. I love Argentine empanadas and these were delicious, the service was absolutely sweet. The girl who served me took care of making us feel comfortable and cared for, and also gave me incredible recommendations (all delicious). If you want to try delicious food and receive good treatment you should come here. Dont forget to try their sweet empanadas, the banana with chocolate one is a 20/10.

The Empanadas were so good I regret not ordering more. They were crispy, cheesy and very flavourful. I would give them a higher rating if I could. The owner was very friendly and patient while taking my order (Im pretty clumsy at ordering food). I would definitely go here again. Vegetarian options: There is one vegetarian Empanada option, namely the ratatouille Empanadas. They also sell fruit juices and plantains. Wheelchair accessibility: Highly wheelchair accessible. They dont have a counter for taking orders, they just take it from the door so, itll be easy to place an order.

We grabbed some empanadas and tostones as we were leaving Austin to head back home. Got one each of the chicken, beef, and ratatouille, and none of them disappointed! Tostones were also delicious - crisp and yummy, and the sautéed garlic/herb/salt on top complemented the plantain really well. Pineapple juice also delish! We will be back for sure.

The beef empanada with cheese was sooooooooo good! The tostones with sautéed minced garlic was crispy, with perfect amount of salt with garlic to top it off. Very good empanadas. However, they are $5 a piece and they don t disclose their pricing. Tastes great, but if you want 3, which would constitute a meal for a woman, you re paying $15 for empanadas. Cost of product is low so I think if they lowered it a bit it would help. Inflation sucks indeed, but $15 for 3 empanadas, $20 for 4 (a meal for a man like myself) is a bit too high. If they were $4 apiece then the value would put them at 5 stars for me. Also clear pricing that is disclosed would help as well.

I ordered the beef empanada ($5) and also had a bite of the ratatouille one. I enjoyed the ratatouille, but the beef empanada was my favorite. They come with chipotle mayo and green sauce, but I thought the beef empanada was seasoned so well and had enough flavor on its own so I didn t end up using the sauces. The beef empanada contains delicious melted cheese that oozes out, and I believe the ratatouille empanada also had some cheese. They come out super hot, so I m sure if I ordered them to go they would still be warm by the time I got home. This spot definitely satisfied my empanada craving. I loved that it s part of a food truck park, so you can explore other food options as well. I tried the brisket and cheddar kolache from Kerlaches, and if I had to choose between the two I would definitely pick the beef empanada from The Doughminican!

I am speechless. This place is incredible. I ve had empanadas from so many places and thought I knew good. I was WRONG. These empanadas have set my new standard. Not only is the bread flaky and moist but the inside is PACKED with meat. If you re debating between the chicken and beef, go with beef. Chicken is also good but the beet is phenomenal. My boyfriend brought me to this place after going for the first time 5ish months ago and they remembered him, even called him by name. Such friendly sweet people running this place. What a wonderful spot to come eat! I grew up eating and making Empanadas and Tostones with my Mom as a kid, and I have to say that these are the best Empanadas Ive ever had. Theyre packed full of filling, which was super moist and comforting. The owners also both bring such a great energy, and you can tell they put passion into what theyre making. Authentic Dominican empanadas come with olives and taste different than these. These are an original creation by the chef who is Dominican. We Got the fried ground beef empanada and it was really tasty. Comes hot with oil coming out of it. You really can get away with one or two which are $6 each because they are filling. These empanadas are generously stuffed pouches! I enjoyed the beef and chicken versions. The chef uses a pasta maker machine to roll out the empanada dough per order, so the fried empanada dough is both crispy on the outside, but juicy on the inside. Awesome food truck with great people, empanadas, fried plantains, fresh fruit juices. The empanadas are made fresh in front of you and they taste incredible. Vegetarian options include the Ratatouille empanadas and as a meat eater I have to say that the Ratatouille is my favorite. Definitely worth a visit, theres parking just outside of the food truck park and the seating area is a cute patio. The only thing I could ask for is spiked fruit juices :)

Look no further than Doughminican for best empanadas. They are cooked when you order and they have plenty of meat and cheese. We go over there almost every Friday for our weekly dose of empanadas. Their seasoning is great and we love the taste of their chimichurri and spicy mayo ketchup.

Love the word play. The man inside the trailer is very warm and welcoming. He accepts cash. The empanada was delicious. Ratatouille. Vegetarian. There is cheeze inside but not overwhelmingly. Freshly made empanadas were delicious. I ordered the chicken, beef and the veggie one. They were all good. Served with a green and an orange sauce, not spicy. Very flavorful. Their lemonade is also fresh. Definitely a great spot to hangout and enjoy some music and delicious food.

Ive had bad luck finding delicious empanadas (especially in Texas!) so when I bought these and the chef said these will be the best empanadas you ve had I was skeptical. My husband is usually picky and complains about lack of flavor a lot. These empanadas HIT THE SPOT. We devoured them. I m sad that I m leaving Austin soon but this will be my go to spot whenever I return. Good price, amazing empanadas. As difficult as it may be, it s best to let them cool off a little so you can really taste every piece of these morsels. I ordered a beef and a chicken- both with cheese and jalapeños. Mmmmm.

These are by far the best empanadas Ive ever had - and Caribbean food is one of my favorite cuisines. The pastry is perfect - tasty and crispy. The filling is beyond superb and he FILLS them until they are good and plump. He typically has a couple of meat and a veggie option - get the veggie! You will not be disappointed. After being spoiled, living in the east side and frequenting The Doughmonican, we now drive all the way down from Georgetown to enjoy them. They are that good!

Be ready for these empanadas to blow your taste buds away! They re perfectly crisp on the outside and filled with so much goodness in the inside.
