Edit: Unable to reply to owner s comment, so I will reply here - Yes, when I said I placed an order on their website I was in fact referring to your ChowNow. Here is the order number I received via email from them in the Order Details of the receipt: #255076742. You should be able to look up the order to find that it was placed during business hours when you appeared to be open. I am not intending to leave 1-star review to spite you. I placed an online order and paid during normal business hours when their website indicated they were open, only to arrive to find that they were closed instead. Of course that was an unpleasant discovery by itself, but the real trouble is that I ve not been able to get in touch with the business for them to refund my purchase, and they haven t returned my calls. TLDR; Accepting a customer payment when you re not open, and not refunding them or returning calls is a poor business practice. If a representative of the business is reading this, don t bother leaving a stock reply asking how you can improve- instead open your voicemail, listen to my message, and refund my purchase.

I would 100% recommend coming here!! The food is amazing, definitely the best out of the food trucks in the area in my opinion especially in terms of the meat quality, and the service and atmosphere are both also amazing!! As an Algerian, I cannot recommend their food enough. It is owned and operated by a Jordanian couple who take pride in their work. One of the few places I have eaten at and said wow this tastes like a home cooked meal . 12/10 recommend.

Lock me in a dark room, put a gun in my head and no matter what dish I get from them. I ll love it. The workers are so nice and the food is super good. I recommend the chicken over rice or the quesadilla with fries. The sauce is good and they rarely charge for extras are super generous honestly, all around great place.

When I was a college student, I would come here whenever I can to get the chicken over rice and quesadilla because it was the best thing ever! The owner was so kind too! The Gyro over Rice was incredible. Never had one like it before. We think we were given the beef over rice by mistake? It had small pieces of meat that had a very familiar South Asian taste...seasoned like a very specific beef dish where the meat is cooked until dried out but moist at the same time. The sauce was very different from the usual over rice places. It had some yellow and white sauce but no red (hot) sauce. So Gyro or beef, whichever one it was, it was delicious! We will order 1 gyro and 1 beef next time to see what the difference is! The Zinger over Rice was good too. It had big pieces of crusted chicken. It needed more sauce though as it became quite dry towards the end. This sauce also felt different than the one on the other dish. It was some light yellow sauce i have not seen before. Really interesting flavors for both! We ordered via GrubHub so prices are inflated at 12.99 per dish. $26 dollars is a bit much for the portions that were given. The food was not packed to the fullest, we had no leftovers and still were kinda hungry. At other over rice places, we usually have 20% leftover at around the same price. Per the website, actual prices are $10.99 per dish which is reasonably better but still should be cheaper considering the portions. Dietary restrictions: Halal

Alpetra is an amazing food place right next to the campus which is very convenient, and if I have classes I can just go and grab some food whenever I want. Their special sauce is everything- I always ask for extra (as you can see in the photo of my kofta over rice). The gyro over rice is so far my favorite, but anything I get from there is a hit.
