A good friend recently fell off a ladder at work and suffered serious injuries. In fact, he is still in the hospital after 7 days and may spend the next month in a rehab hospital. He asked me to refer him to a good personal injury attorney, so I approached my real estate attorney for a referral. He said Thomas J. Henry was the best personal injury attorney in Austin. I told my friend and his wife and gave him the number. To my surprise, the law firms spokesman told them their type of case was not what they get involved in. What!!!!! Thomas J. Henry spends millions each year boasting they specialize in all personal injuries out there. They didnt even recommend another attorney who does specialize in work-related injuries. I will never recommend that firm again.

We hired TJH firm to represent us in a car accident back in April 2023. We went to all their recommended chiropractor appt which seem to be a joke. When the doctor would take X-ray scans, the door was wide open exposing his secretary and people in the waiting room to unnecessary radiation dose. Would allow the patients family to be in the same X-ray room while taking the X-rays. We completed the medical program and waited patiently for the attorneys do send demand letters etc. 16 months later they decided to withdraw from our case with no other reason than I was instructed to do so. My attorney was Ariel (fourth attorney on this case) and I asked to speak to who she was instructed by but she was in a meeting and they never returned my call. Requested all documentation on my case to be sent to me. Two weeks later Im still waiting on the documentation and the call back.

Worst lawfirm. You must read the other reviews like mine. I notice we all go through the same problems with this lawfirm. 1st lack of communication wtih supposedly legit attorney. 2nd they are supposedly always in a meeting and will call you back. 3rd they dont explain anything to help you figure out what will be the outcome. 4th you will talk at least 12 different attorney. Each month they will give you a new attorney. They will lie and tell you they got promoted and a new attorney will be taking over your case. You better off finding another lawfirm. They dont solve your problems and will have you go through literally 9 attorney and still want get your case resolved. Its been 2 years exactly and I still have no results. Thank you thomas J. Henry for wasting 2years of my life with your deceptionand greed. Trust me dont hire this law firm unless u have alot of time u want to waste. Went a whole year doing what they asked of me, just to get to the end of it and them noticing after everything said and done that the one who hit me did not have insurance. AMERICA..... With them asking for my information such as insurance that should have been the very first thing to have been checked. But who am I? What do I know?...(Compared to all other reviews, I got treated the complete opposite, maybe because the entire time all 7of my attorneys that were in and out transferred to me knew they did not have insurance and just did not want to tell me until I finished all my sessions with their recommended physicians, but hey who am I...just some black dumb gullible young adult, in the right place at the right time for work getting rear ended by someone whos not paying attention, now getting screwed by a firm who also was not paying attention, that has now age me both physically and mentally for life). God bless to those who got justice, at this point in my life all the unserved justices that ive witness im starting to believe its not human error or even personal. I think I need to develop a better relationship with Jesus Christ cause this situation and others that has happened to me in just the past 2 years makes absolutely no sense.

If you want to have an experience like that, go with them, they will not disappoint you, the worst is even leaving you with unpaid medical bills in collection, they are friendly until they get what they only want, your money, they left me worse than how I was after an accident with an 18 wheel trailer, today I am preparing to overcome this stressful and humiliating process, I recommend going with a lawyer who is from an office and not by a man whose face you cannot see and who has 200 lawyers and you go through all of them in a 3 year process, to end up defrauded, and with medical debts to pay with your money, a ruined credit, pending surgeries and they will never take responsibility. They would give me the money, according to Richard, who was my scammer and Lawyer, surgery also on the cervical spine, I am pending surgery on the lower part of my back and the money they gave me is not enough to pay for it. And to make matters worse, I repeat, they did not pay me medical bills, they went to collection because I did not know and they ruined my credit from excellent 8 points credit score to fair 6.25 credit score I called them and they did not take responsibility for even helping me...I do this from my heart so that others do not fall where I and so many other people have fallen. It is something very sad and will leave you with lifelong physical and emotional consequences. You feel like you have been abused and outraged. It is like wearing your hat and suffering that you have lost your mind.

I should have chosen differently. If you are in a simple car wreck this is not the place to go. I was injured badly, and 4 to 5 months in my lawyer got fired. So I had to start new with another attorney Hernando Felix and his side kick Denise who was rude and I never talked to her again after our first conversation. I ended up with hardly anything my insurance had to pay almost as much as the person that ran the stop sign and totalled my new car. If they cant make at least a million off of the wreck they dont work that hard. I will never go with again. I hope I never go through this again. But theyre not as Great as they advertise.

Worst experience. I came in hopeful in getting justice for my case. I was sideswiped by a distracted driver and through the pictures it was obvious that I wasn t at fault. I also had a witness(which she never utilized) to back up my case. I was assigned to Ashley Leonard. She had the worst communication. Whenever I asked for her she was never available even when I called right after I missed a call from her. She wouldn t even respond to her assistant nor the messages from the chiropractor s office. I waited more than a month and a half to finally have my case settled just to find out she quit my case. Now I m left to repair the damages I was never liable for AND the chiropractor that I was sent to because of her. The car was the first car I ve ever had, it took me months to save up for it and I only had it for a month before I was hit. I now have to take up a second job while also finding time to study for college to be able to fix these damages. I hope no one else has to go through the same thing I did. If you get assigned to Ashley don t waste your time and find someone else.

I asked for guidance on what they think about the case, and they say it is unethical with this type of consultation just to speak to me about it because they can t take the case What is the definition of a consultation? I was in a car accident on 9/20/20**. I was referred to TJH by someone. Little did I know what I was getting myself into. Ive had 3 different lawyers in this short period of time. They have a lack of communication with their clients. I had to demand they send me to a chiropractor due to me being in so much pain. I suffer from neck and shoulder, arm pains. To make a long story short they are the worst lawyers office Ive ever dealt with. since I ve signed for the settlement and refused to pursue the other insurance company, my lawyer sent me a nasty email basically being upset because I didn t want to pursue the other insurance company. My reasons is because this company lies unprofessional so she take my phone calls now hasn t sent paperwork to settle on medical bills. but I can confirm they did cash the check from the insurance company. so who knows when they they will try to finish out my case and give me my settlement. I wish I could post the email I received Update 2/15 so I spoke to my attorney today. She tells me that she has received all the reductions in my medical bills and she is still within her 4-6 weeks to get that over to the business center to get it processed so that they can issue me a payment so technically, she s just sitting on the paperwork until she gets to it because she s in within her 4-6 week timeframe, this has been the worst experience ever if you have all the information why not finish it and close the case instead, she s gonna drag it out the six weeks. update 2/26 reach out to my lawyer s office twice this week calls and emails are going unanswered. Then she proceeded to respond back claiming she s in a meeting and can t take my call which is fine. I said OK what s going on with my case. there s no update what do you mean there s no update I spoke to you last week you told me you had all the bills and stuff that we needed and you just needed to submit it over to the business office and you were still within your 4 to 6 weeks now she claims she s doesn t know where I m getting all my information from. I said write down everything you tell me and I also record the phone conversations now you have no recollection of what you ve told me. Needless to say they will not make this 4-6 week deadline to issue me my settlement avoid this law office at all cost. I will be filing a complaint with the state board a bar and filing a complaint with the ombudsman Office office. 3/4/24 Update No settlement check issued by the end of my 6 weeks. Formal Complaints have been filed. Called TJH on 3/1 talked to a Jack who was rude and unprofessional, he tried to handle me in the worst way possible. Stating that Ashley did a really good job on my case ect I called BS. He states he expediting my settlement check on Friday, March 8. so we will see.

Do not by all means get Thomas J. Henry law firm to represent you. I had a car accident on April of 2022, and up to this day, almost 2 years later (February 16, 2024), I still have not received my settlement check. My case has been transferred to multiple attorneys (a total of 10), so I was never able to build that client-attorney relationship because there were times where I didn t even know who my attorney was. I was never notified about my case being passed on to a new attorney. I went months without getting any updates about my case; no letters, no emails, no calls, nothing. I called and complained, but even if they tell you that they will do better, they continue to be negligent. I was so frustuated because I had to be the one calling for updates. If you don t call them, they don t call you. There are times where I have to send multiple emails to get a reply. They take a huge part of your settlement check to literally not do anything. Supposedly, they fight for the highest settlement offer, but it didn t happen in my case. My medical bills and their percentage take up almost all the settlement check. Save your time and money, do NOT choose Thomas J. Henry as your firm.

I had previously written a review about the absolute untrustworthiness and lack of any type of attention that Thomas J. Henry has shown me. That is still happening. I have been mislead by them, I have been ignored by them, and they fill my inbox with requests for reviews and to sign their petitions. I had originally approached Thomas J. Henry about the 3M earplug case. They mislead me to get me to sign a representation agreement with them quickly, so that they could ignore me for the better part of 2, 2 and a half years. Having seen the commercials with him in his private plane and on the balcony of his high rise office, I now understand that he got those very nice things by ignoring and taking from his clients/victims. They do not care about you or your case, and you absolutely need to get EVERYTHING they ever say in an email, or writing. Update* After 4 years of being ignored, not having calls/emails returned, and only receiving information from Google, or in their less than regular, boilerplate email, I got my settlement offer. It is INSULTINGLY low. And thats BEFORE the legal fees. After, 4 years, they have negotiated a horrible deal. My suspicion is that they did as little as possible, and are now looking to capitalize on the BULK legal fees of the other veterans they have mistreated and represented. I have had nothing but HORRIBLE experiences with them, and they inform every sleazy lawyer stereotype I have ever heard. I think they get away with it because they are a big law firm, and what are we PEASANTS going to do about it? I will NEVER engage with them again, EVER. I cannot recommend a different lawyer, but I HIGHLY recommend that you dont go with Thomas J. Henry. They are only interested in you long enough to get you under their thumb, and it seems like they are mostly motivated by doing the least amount of work possible, in order to take as much of your damages as possible. I do not believe that they were operating in MY interests, but rather theirs.

At one of the lowest points in my life, when the world literally came crashing down on me, I made the best decision in my life by seeking immediate representation by this law firm!! Whoever may be reading this review and trying to consider who to turn to, that will be your rock and protect you and your family, I cant recommend my attorney Bart Behr enough!! From the very moment I called this firm , my well being, physical, psychological and emotional well being were their primary concern. Bart Behr was thorough, prepared and diligent in making sure that the party that caused my injuries and turned my life upside down, was properly held responsible for their actions. Thank you so much Bart for helping me and my family get through the pain and suffering. The end result has been life changing and I am eternally grateful!!!!

Very bad lawyers work here, I do not recommend them, I waited almost 2 years for them to resolve my accident case and in the end they did not give me the money that they had told me they would give before signing, very bad service, I do not recommend them . DO NOT CHOOSE THIS LAW FIRM!!! They will lie and deceive you any chance they get. They will tell you that if TJH doesnt win your case, you dont have to pay anything. That is a complete lie. Even after almost 2 years of being represented, they will still throw you all the medical bills from your case. All of the TV commercials arent entirely accurate. Do not be distracted by the large settlement payouts. Its all for publicity. I never had one lawyer who was genuinely interested in helping me. I had like 4 different people acting like they were helping me, but actually giving me the run around. Do not go with TJH. You will have better luck going with a smaller firm. One who will treat you like an actual human being and not a number or a potential dollar sign. Shame on Thomas J Henry **Update** When they say you do not pay anything unless they win is a complete lie. I am getting bill after bill from all the doctors they told me I had to go to. Very unprofessional staff, I have left various messages and received no return calls. I felt like just a number, not like a client. When I asked questions all I got was very vague answers. On the final day of the case closed, I told them I was getting another person to stop by and pick up the papers for me. The attorney agreed to this, and later that day the receptionist called me saying someone they didnt know, was picking up my papers. There is no communication between the staff at all. I felt like it was just a waste of my time talking to someone there. They dont listen to you as a client. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I wish we had hired a different firm from the beginning. It s been almost 2 years since my family was in a horrific car accident. 3 of us were injured, my daughter ended up in the hospital for 6 weeks. We chose to hire a lawyer to help us work with insurance so we could focus on the well being of our daughter. Them being a large firm, we thought that would be the best course of action. It turned out to be a terrible decision. They hire a lot of freshly graduated and inexperienced attorneys that don t know what they are doing. There is a lot of turn over. In the time we were working with them, which is less than 2 years, we ve had 3 different lawyers assigned. When one quits, our case just sits there untouched for a long time, until they reassign someone, and even then the case would just sit there while they made promises about being almost done that aren t true. I think because they have way too many cases than they can handle, and our case doesn t have a big pay out for them. Over many months, We tried emailing them and calling them with almost no responses. Even when we emailed them to switch firms, they sat on it with no response for weeks. When someone finally got assigned our case for the 3rd time, they called, and we found out that they haven t even seen our email to fire them all these weeks. A manager called us at the end to try to keep our business, but she was very rude and completely unapologetic about the state they left things. She even tried to drop the lie that they were almost done. If they were almost done for all these months, why is it not done yet? We just want to move on from this accident and make sure that our medical bills are paid, but instead this has just dragged on and on. Avoid them, find a firm that cares. -- Update 10/05/2023 -- Also, ignore the canned response to all their bad reviews. If only they were as responsive when working on cases as they are with these useless responses. I have 0 trust that they would actually make anything better or improve on their negligent practices, and do not plan on ever dealing with them again.

6 months ago I was tboned at a light that was green, but a kid ran his red and hit me. I chose this firm from TV ads because I felt like they were sincere..no big drama. When they called to assign me to an attorney over the next few months, there wasnt much communication except go to your appointments which they overdid. My medical bills were more than I could imagine. It was always difficult to talk to the attorney. His paralegals changed several times and then after not hearing from anybody for a long time I got a call from my new attorney that I knew nothing about. He seemed to be more on top of things, but in the end my pain and suffering settlement was terrible and I am still in pain in one arm and my back. They should not have taken my case if they couldnt have done better. The ads say they make you feel like you are their only client. For me that is so far from.the truth. Terribly disappointed and sad. I wish I had done more research.

TJ Henry Bost and brags about how good they he is. It may be true if hes dealing with a muti million dollar lawsuits. As you notice on the TV commercials, they dont tend to show results for the small claims people. I have a case involving 3 different insurance. Described my case with them only to be turned down.

Worst lawyers ever!!!! Take 1yrs and 1/2 to tell me they can t do anything with my case. I almost lost my live on a car accident with a 18 wheeler and provide video, company name and DOT number. I lost my car 22,500 they only get 5,000. I have to call them for information off my case because never call me. Going through several attorneys just to finally get one attorney who does a lousy job and never go to this business or Brad McConnell he lied during our settlement he lied about canceling my appointment under medical protective and I called the doctors office that was supposed to do my surgery and they said that he had paid them off that they reached out to a phone number and no one responded when I was told by the secretary that someone had canceled and I couldnt do surgery that day if you want a case done right dont go to these people Also called the office to speak with Thomas the Henry and no one wants me to speak with him or wants to let me and I have responded to the reply thats on my review but no one has contacted me so these attorneys lie about being able to speak with them.

My experience with Thomas J Henry was highly disappointing. I sought their legal representation, but encountered conflicting advice and unprofessional conduct.
