It s true it takes a village to raise a child and I m proud to say my village was and still is Attorney Charles Medearis. At a time when I was experiencing some difficulty with my son s behavior which involved in legal action, Attorney Medearis was assigned as counsel to assist and help in saving my son from himself. Although I never met Atty Medearis in person I INSTANTLY felt a sense of calm when speaking to him. It was if Atty Medearis could feel my pain and did not hesitate and reached out in a most, caring, calm, parent like and selfless way to speak to me. During the times when Atty Medearis would converse with my son, I noticed a big shift in his behavior, so much so that it turned my son s life around for the better. Been working with Charles closely on a case I received in Texas a few years ago. Not only was Charles professional and patient the entire ordeal but was very adamant about communicating with me and the judge in order to get my case dismissed. For my first time needing an attorney, Mr. Medearis, and his assistant Jennifer were friendly and helpful with both me and my mother the whole way through! Medearis was referred to me from a family member & I most definitely appreciate the help he did for my case. Most cases take years!! Well not this one! Assistant, Natalie, was on top of it! I called Charles while he was busy in and out of court and he took my call. He was very polite as I explained my situation. He then told me respectfully he would call me back after court in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later he called back and gave me all the time to explain my father had been arrested and I was trying to help him. Charles advised me what to do, getting the right documents in order to show proof in court and to the DA that we had a good case. Charles then took that information to the Da and had my fathers case dismissed. I really like the way he sees the judicial process and willing to have dignity and respect for people even if they aren t perfect, are in a bad situation or have a criminal record. The DWI charge I faced could have ruined my life. It was what the prosecution calls a slam dunk, but Charles knew what to do. Charles could read the prosecution and anticipate their next move.
