Cute place. Went to dinner with a friend, and the server we had was the sweetest. She was very attentive. The food was delicious. My friend and I had the steak dish. The dish was $25, but it was delicious.

terrible experience for the second time. My husband and I went to this restaurant a few years ago, about a month after opening and it was so slow, took over 2 hours for dinner. we figured its been years now, so we should give it another chance. WRONG CHOICE. another horrible experience. we were seated at a table and waited for over 15m and still had not had anyone come to our table even to offer water. there was 3 other tables seated in our room and a waiter had been to each of those tables at least twice during the time we had been there but we were not offered drinks, looked at, talked to, nothing. so we then went and told the host that we would be leaving. my husband and I only get a chance to go on a date night once every 3-4 months. unfortunately, this experience ruined our date night. we had to find another restaurant, order takeout and eat at home in order to relieve the babysitter on time. it was frustrating and ruined our night. I cant answer any of the questions below about what I ordered, etc because I literally was not even offered water.

We sat for 20min before Ruth, the waitress even took our drink orders. My 3yr old made a mess, as they do, I didnt mind cleaning it myself but the waitress still didnt take our order. When I went to get her, she stated she thought we were leaving. We watched her pass us multiple times checking on the tables around us without checking on our table. This was not my first experience at Pablos which is why I will go back, but I will definitely be asking for another waitress if we ever sit in Ruths area.

Just hope we dont get the same waiter

Pablos is fantastic! The menu is a great mix of classics and more adventurous dishes, and theyre all delicious! Highly recommend the stuffed avocados, the quesadillas, and the quail! The service is prompt, and the food usually comes out quick. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming. Ive used their online to-go ordering several times with no issues. A great staple of the Fate food scene!

My wife and I decided some place different to celebrate our 28th anniversary this year, and I found this hidden gem in the small town of Fate. We were pleasantly surprised how nice this place is, and how easy it is to get to. Parking is abundant. We were immediately greeted with a smile and seated, water glasses and a sealed top water pitcher was provided. (Nice!) Our server Adela was incredibly sweet and helpful with our order. She really knows her stuff! Chips and salsa were quickly brought out, and we ordered a bowl of Queso to go with. They must make the chips in house because they were amazing. The food was delicious and plentiful. I personally recommend the Brisket Enchiladas. Be prepared to ask for a to-go box! Pricing was very reasonable for what you re getting. My wife approved the margarita hands down. The atmosphere was inviting and romantic, music was a mix of all genres. We re definitely going back to Pablo s again. I would rank this place up there with Gloria s Latin Cuisine, which has always been our go-to. Parking: Park anywhere along the businesses and side streets, actual parking spots, no parallel parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Seems very easy for anyone with mobility issues to access this place without any problems

Fate brought us to Pablos last Saturday evening with four adults and three kids. Every meal was absolutely delicious. I had the grilled avocado, which was amazing! My husband had the shrimp fajitas and said they were better than the best hes ever had. Our son-in-law had the brisket enchiladas with the most wonderful sauce. Our daughters meal was equally delicious and memorable, especially the soup. The kids loved their chicken tenders, and the fries were really great. Our waiter Benjamin has excellent people skills and was friendly and helpful. He was a terrific waiter - attentive without being intrusive, charming and pleasant. Our daughter and son will be back, as will we on our next trip to Dallas. Great service, great entrees, and a great experience :)

This was a super cute place and the margaritas were great, however the portion size was super small for the price of the food. We also had a dirty plate served to us. We went in about 4:45 on Thursday and were the only people in there so the service seemed a lot slow for us being the only ones in there. The staff was nice but with so many Mexican food restaurants out there we probably wont go back.

First let me say that the atmosphere is great and the servers are so quick to attend with what you need. The dishes so far that I have ordered there have not been so good. They have come out cold or luck warm and really dislike both. No, they were not salads either. One dish was the fajitas and the beef and chicken was cold. Rice was cold and the veggies they put on the dish were not your traditional veggies that go in a fajita dish. I may go there again but will be more selective in what I order. Maybe a salad cause those are suppose to be served cold. I hate cold food that should be served hot!! Parking: We have been here several times and you get here in the later evening it is almost impossible to find a place to park so we were forced to park in a parking lot two blocks away.

The food is incredible, a lot better than anything in Royse City or Rockwall that we have found. I have zero complaints about this place and that normally doesnt happen. The queso and salsa is made fresh. The tortillas are soft and homemade. The corn tortillas didnt fall apart at all while eating our tacos. Vegetarian options: They have a V on the menu for vegetarian and a GF for gluten-free Dietary restrictions: They have so many gluten-free options available!!! My wife and I love to try new places, and we are suckers for a good queso, and the chips matter just as much too. When we pulled up, you saw a clean, pleasant, and well-kept area. The exterior is clean, has a modern look, and is very inviting. It has a Glass Cactus vibe mixed with Mi Cocina. The room was very inviting when we walked in and had a great vibe. We arrived at 5:45 pm on a Tuesday. A couple of tables were seated, and the bar was packed with people watching the Dallas Stars pregame coverage. We were at the door for only a minute until we were sitting. I offered an option of a half booth, table, or full booth. We opted for the entire booth. When we were seated, our server, Bobby, was amiable. He took our drink order and brought out water as well. The water came in these neat glass bottles they brought to the table. I love this concept because we never have to worry about having an empty water glass. Once you empty the bottle, it is replaced with a full one while your cups are still full. I am an unsweet tea drinker, and the quality of tea matters to me, or it tastes like dirt water. Their tea was excellent. We ordered queso as an appetizer, and it did not disappoint. It was not my favorite, but it was better than a lot Ive had. I ordered the steak fajitas for dinner, my wife ordered the steak chimichurri, and my daughter ordered the tomatillo enchiladas with sour cream sauce. Everything was plated well and came out looking very appealing! I was overly impressed with the meat quality of the fajitas and loved that they were not served on that gimmicky fajita sizzling plate! We ate everything and cleaned our plates. The steak was cooked perfectly to order for both the fajitas and the steak as a whole. Even the rice had a good flavor and was not bland. For desert we ordered the churros. They did not disappoint, and were served with a cinnamon ice cream. The churros were light, crispy, and worth every bite! I would bet they get this ice cream from Fate Creamery, because it was amazing. If you want to add a new Mexican restaurant to your rotation, do not hesitate to check-in. Our server, Bobby, was fantastic, but it seemed like all the staff were well trained and happy to be there, so I think you may have a good experience with anyone. The pricing was on par with the area, I even attached a copy of my receipt to share what a meal like this would cost. Thanks for reading, enjoy your meal!

This must be the worst Mexican place. The fajita beef tasted awful, very slimey. When the manager brought out the food he sat the plate down, and picked back up cause he said it didn t look good. The mole enchiladas (enmoladas) are GREAT! My wife got the green enchiladas and they were also really good. I am Mexican and I was a bit skeptical about their flavor/taste, but this place is pretty legit. The service and atmosphere were excellent too. We will come back!!! The only thing I did not like were the beans. The taste a bit off (kind of sour). We just did not eat them. But the enchiladas were that good that it overcompensated the beans. Edit: we went back. I ordered the ceviche. It is AMAZING! The plate is an apperitive for two/three, and it is an explosion of flavors. I also ordered again the enmoladas and they are just amazing. Will definetely only come for the Mole!

Pablos Restaurant and Cantina is a hidden gem with a cozy atmosphere that instantly welcomes you. The friendly staff, especially Luis, elevated the dining experience with top-notch service and attentiveness. Now, lets talk about the food those brisket enchiladas were downright fantastic, and the cheese enchiladas were a flavor explosion! The restaurant maintains a clean environment, adding to the overall positive ambiance. If I had to provide some constructive feedback, a tad more heat and spices in the queso would elevate it to the next level. However, thats a minor note in an otherwise stellar dining experience. Pablos is a must-visit for those seeking a delightful blend of great service and delicious Mexican cuisine!

I have had serveral items from the menu and everything was great. The Shrimp enchiladas were awesome and the charro beans were very flavorful. My wife had the red snapper and it was amazing. They also serve a cornbread with some sauces on it that will amaze you at how good cornbread can taste. But with all that the only reason for not 5 stars is that their salsa is really bland and boring that tastes more like a tomato puree than salsa. Guacamole has a suspicious color like that green that it turns when you put a powder on it that for Americans is guacamole . Nothing special. The quality of the food embarrasses me. The pipián is not a pipián. If you go to Pabloss thinking that you will eat pipián, better download a recipe from YouTube and do the fight from your home.

Wow, what a great first experience impression on Fathers Day! They were quite busy but 5 minute wait max. Server Jerry was absolutely amazing with suggestions; we will be back largely because of him. Food was really good: chilaquiles eggs, chicken nachos (they make them for you, the meat nestled in the homemade chips with fresh guac and goodies), shrimp camarones with rice (very subtle butter garlic searing). Might be labeled as TexMex but really is not -- we are from California so do not care for TexMex, always looking for the fresh western Mex taste for the past 2 years could not find anything in Dallas this good! (even The Mexican, etc downtown) -- so very pleasantly surprised at the flavor combos. I encourage the chef to continue to experiment with even more complex flavors and really elevate the cusisine to the next level, although really not much required! Thank you, we will be back. Parking: Plentiful nearby street parking, folks always coming and going with the many new businesses here.

I ordered 2 sides of rice and 2 orders of beans and they couldnt put it on one simple plate. I had to ask for the plate because they dont have common sense enough to put it all on one plate . Ridiculous. Waitresses staring you down like they have nothing to do and no tables to clean

We thoroughly enjoyed a dinner on the patio at this establishment. Water, chips and salsa were brought out almost as soon as we sat down which was nice! The service was great, the food was nice, the place was very clean and we enjoyed it. Would definitely return. My only tiny complaint was the music was so loud I could barely speak to the person I was dining with. I thought maybe it was just outside but on a quick trip to the restroom I realized the music was even louder inside. Definitely not a big deal considering how great everything else was.

Nice little find in Fate. The area and crowd at this location is so nice and friendly. My plate was great and delicious but not everyone in my party felt the same. I want to give it another try, get a different plate before I switch it to 5 stars. I ll definitely be back to try something else. Drinks were good.

Would have been 5-stars but they added an 18% large party gratuity on a party of six. The menu says when the party is OVER 8 at the bottom. Its bad form to add a gratuity at all (look up the definition of the word) but to do so when not as advertises on the menu is lame. Sadly the server lost out on several extra percent of tip based on principle.

Food flavor was just ordinary and lackluster; tasted very much lacking in spices they might as well call it Paul s restaurant and canteen . I do understand it s probably curated to fit the demographics of it s location but it s not really for me. My 6 yr old didn t like their bean burrito either which they typically love elsewhere. Probably won t be back anytime soon.

A pleasant surprise. First visit totally unexpected in such an out of the way place. Fully stocked bar. Try the avocado marguerita with tajin rimmed glass. Prices are correct. Had the skirt steak and another surprise - nice tender and perfectly cooked. The ceviche is another tasty dish. Really an upscale restaurant. Will go out of my way and be back here again.

Comfortable, laid back atmoshere and friendly service abound. Expensive bar notwithstanding, you will not forget this restaurant! Bottom line: were going back!

The manager even came to check on us to ensure we were good. Everything came out literally 5 minutes after we ordered it from the salsa all the way to the dessert. AND it doesn t list it on the menu but the veggie enchiladas are VEGAN! So glad I have another veg-friendly option in the area. We went to Pablos to eat the first time Saturday, November 12th, 2022. It was 4:30PM and they were closed. There was no sign in the window with an explanation. We could see a staff member cleaning the floor so we knocked on the door. She made no attempt to tell us what was going on. We had to drive for 30 minutes to get there so it id doubtful we will be going back.

Everything was excellent...salsa,spicy pineapple margarita, brisket enchiladas, jasmine rice, chimichuri steak, atmosphere, and our waiter Armando! My friend drove from Highland Park to eat at Pablos and so our group of 5 had a great time! We arrived about an hour before closing on a Sunday nite , but we were not rushed out at 8:00. We ran into other friends there, so we were having a great time and in no rush to leave....Armando did not rush us out at closing, and continued to wait on us patiently...we had a great time!!!

Nice Mexican restaurant with a cool vibe. There was a nice bar with sports on the TVs. A hostess seats you and was ready to seat us when we walked in. The waiter was quick to take our drink order and we had chips and salsa brought out right away. The chips were fresh and the salsa was good. I did notice that the service was hit and miss with different wait staff. I saw one couple wait quite a while for their chips and drinks and it looked like there were about to leave. We ordered quacamole and it was very good. The food was good but not overly great. I would probably go back and try the lunch menu.

The food is okay. What is really bothersome is the price. $28 entrees and $12 margaritas. We re talking a cool $100 for a dinner for two. I think this place thinks it s in uptown Dallas instead of downtown Fate. The options are fairly limited and the service is not very attentive. Expect the uppity Dallas type service where they look down on you for ordering the cheap enchiladas. Meso Maya in Dallas is much better and more reasonable in price.

Excellent Mexican food in downtown Fate, Texas. Not Tex-Mex, but still very good. We had the Chicken Nachos, the Tacos de la Casa with carnitas, the Tacos Callejeros with chipotle steak, and the Cheese Enchiladas. All were great. For cocktails we all had Avocado Martinis, which is one of the better drinks Ive had anywhere. Downtown Fate is small, but cute and quaint, and worth the drive.

When I dine alone, I typically sit at the bar as to not take a whole table. The bartender was attentive at first, taking my drink order and my food order. Toward the end of my meal which was good overall, he zoned in on one customer who had a dog in her lap AT THE BAR, and forgot he had other customers. I finally had to put my CC on the bar. He got the hint and brought my check but then ignored it after I put the CC in the check presenter. I finally decided to ask the hostess to ask the MOD to run my card. On the plus side, the bartender did make a tasty skinny margarita (wish I had asked for Tajin instead of salt on the rim). The tomatillo enchiladas were good. I would have preferred more tomatillo sauce ON the enchiladas rather than just around the enchiladas. The enchiladas were filled with a good amount of chicken. I wasnt a fan of the jasmine rice and asked for charro beans instead of black beans. Both the rice and beans lacked in flavor, but were edible for a person whos hungry. The strawberry tres leches was ok. At least it was a big piece, but it was drier than it should have been. The strawberry whipped cream saved it.

The restaurant sat us right away. It was busy on Thursday night but not every table was full. We ordered the family Botanas platter so that we could try different items. By far, the steak fajita tacos were our favorite. The flavor was great and the crunchy onion topping completed the experience of each bite. Everything got eaten. In order: The brisket quesadillas and chicken tacos were good but a bit dry I added salsa to it. The bean tostadas were great, and as previously stated, the beef tacos were amazing. The guacamole was fresh and tasted like avocado. Love that! They are well staffed and the service was great. The owner, I presume, asked us how we liked everything. When you are driving into Fate from 66, Pablo s is on the right. Sometimes you have luck if you pull into the parking before the restaurant and you can land steps from the front door. There was no kid menu but our 8 year old ate the entire plain cheese quesadilla we ordered for her (not on menu). Also I recommend the sangria swirl. You will know it has alcohol. If you pay with credit card, there is a service fee maybe take cash. Also this place is clean. Even the decorations have not collected dust commonly seen in other places.

Went there this evening for the first time. Had the brisket enchiladas and my wife had the brisket tacos. Food was great the service even better. Only complaint I have was the chips. They were a let down as assumed they would have been made in house and were like bag chips. Salsa was great and the guacamole was also great. Just wish we had the made in house chips. We will go back again.
