I hired Mr. Ely after I was involved in a horrific car accident caused by an 18 wheeler truck. I can t say enough great things about Mr. Ely. He was the pit-bull I needed to help get the care I needed and to deal with the other insurance company who tried to minimize the accident and not hold their client responsible. So very thankful for this firm and the legal outcome.

Took a case that other attorneys would not touch because it was not a slam dunk. Most other attorneys only want a for sure case that one could settle on their own. Attorney Ely took a full insurance defendant denial and turned it into a very decent settlement. He did the work and proved the case. He is a pleasure to work with and listens to all details.

I had a fabulous experience with Ely & Reed (or as fabulous as you can possibly have when needing an attorney.) I had been afraid no one would take my case, but these guys were helpful, kind, attentive and compassionate. I worked with Mike primarily, and he was good for not only legal advice but also movie recommendations. He answered all of my questions, helped me stay positive during a stressful situation, and was experienced, knowledgeable, firm and straightforward. Don t even consider going anywhere else - call these guys first!

Michael Ely was the lead attorney for my car accident case. He was excellent in preparing me for deposition as well as trial. I very much apreciate his representation and I highly recommend his expertise in relevant legal matters. He has a somewhat dry sense of humor yet is approachable, empathetic and compassionate. Mike took my case when 2 other lawyers declined. I wa amazed at what he got out the other persons cheap insurance. I was in a car wreck where the other person t-boned my car while taking on a phone.

I had a previous car accident settlement case with a different firm and felt like the attorney left me in the dark. After this last car accident, I wanted to find a different attorney. Nick and Mike are a great team! They represented us in a dispute over a contract and I can honestly say that we have never been so well represented in a case as we were with Ely Reed. Nick and Mike are both very detailed in their approach and are excellent communicators kept us up-to-date throughout the process. And - they bring such a positive energy to a legal matter that would otherwise be extremely frustrating. Obviously, we d prefer not to have legal tangles in the future. This is Michael Dolan, not Patrick Reed. I hired Mr. Ely to pursue a personal-injury lawsuit on behalf of my elderly mother. Micheal Ely represented me in an automobile accident case. He is very passionate about what he does yet in a very quiet, contained and calm manner. He is precise, persistent and most importantly patient. My case went to court twice for two involved motorists. No drama, no yelling, just results. He kept me updated on the progress of the cases while lessening the burden on me. As a busy professional myself it was nice to know things were just being handled. He does not like to lose and in that manner it becomes personal. It was a win-win situation.

This review is for Mike Ely when he worked in Washington, DC. I was hit by a taxi back in 2006 which left me with some pretty extensive injuries. Mike came recommended by a friend of a law assistant I knew for years. From the time I met Mike he was great. First he was very compassionate to what had happened. The whole experience felt like I was working with a friend who cared. On top of that he was very professional and knowledgeable. Even with a very busy schedule he always found time for me and always kept me informed. He made the whole process a breeze allowing me to phocus on my healing.
