I had an awesome time at the paint your pet event! Jessica was the instructor and she was incredibly helpful and encouraging. If you re looking for something to fun to do on your own or with a group of friends, 10 out of 10. I highly recommend.

I had a wonderful date night with my wife and we painted a Christmas Grinch with a tree! Nikki was incredibly patient and kind and we had such a fun night doing our paintings. We definitely want to come back to paint a photo of our dog together!

Had a really wonderful time last night at the Paint your Pet Central TX SPCA fundraiser last night! I ve taken multiple classes at this location and this was hands down my favorite class. The instructors and staff were super helpful esp for people that were struggling, they would spend 1:1 time to help and teach them. It was great to see everyone s furbabies come to life!

Worst experience at pwat ever & I have done many. 1st of all, problem, I think, is New Day class needed to be longer as so detailed. No way the best teacher could get done in 2 hours and we did not have a good teacher. Only 4 students & none got finished, but worse,was no help and none of us were beginners in fact, my sil (from another state) went with me to see what these were like and she is a professional acrylic artist and painting instructor. She is a very fast painter and was struggling to keep up. She helped all 3 of us since teacher would not stop painting even when asked for help. She would mix colors and not show us her palette to see color, would go on to next step without announcing. Extremely rushed. Worst experience I ever had at any pwat. After all that, her painting was not even the same pastel hues as the sample photo, so didnt look the same. Also, she left parts of the painting undone(brighter blues at bottom sides). I think we would have done better buying kit and watching video at home. I quit as couldnt keep up. She may be a nice person, but should not be a teacher. We 4 students were ignored 90% of the class.. Such a waste of time and money. I am not sure I will do pwat in person class again. At least, not in Cedar Park. Just update this May 22. No one from pwatcp has commented or tried to contact me in the weeks since originally posted. It would be nice to hear something from management, as apoears they just dont care about quality of classes as long as they have $$$. Sad its gone downhill so fast.

I tried the painter pet and failed miserably. Not enough instruction for the class and my painting did not look like my dog. It looked like a blind persons drawing of a dog. I think Ill stick with landscapes from now on. Its a shame I had to pay fifty eight dollars and not have a good experience. I enjoy painting but not this one. I will not attempt to do my pet again. I really wanted a memorial painting for my dog. The guy sitting next to me said the beginning sketch didnt even look like a dog. Everyone elses painting looked great.

Artist teaching the class was funny and personable. I would only suggest that he tailor the music to the audience. Half of the students were >70 years old and the music was club/dance. Seemed strange. Other than that, enjoyed the class!

Apparently under new ownership - not impressed! I ve been to this place more than a half dozen times and will not be returning. They were clearly understaffed, no offers were made to help inexperienced guests with techniques, actually heard a staff member offer less than polite commentary to guests. Class started late - like 15-25 minutes. Paint wasn t out and ready. And desk staff seemed more interested in helping late arrivals sign up and pay for the session in progress than those who pre-paid online. Open Studio should be avoided! There was no mention that images selected well in advance would not be pre-sketched, the image wasn t printed and ready. Instructions were exceedingly poor and two hours wasn t anywhere near long enough when you must first draw before painting; when you start late that s even less time and most guests didn t finish. If they didn t have the canvas size you selected, paid for, and had confirmation for, they simply unilaterally changed your selection, failed to notify you, sprung that surprise in person, demanded you pay the difference if you selected something similar that cost a little bit more OR offered you a partial credit towards a future class. Like THAT will happen! This place has gone down hill in every way and I d give negative stars if I could. I was certainly embarrassed to bring guests who had never been here prior. They aren t interested in returning either!

The experience for my daughter was good. I didnt like the fact that the girl who was doing the class disappear for 30 minutes taking other phone calls. Also it was only 1 dragon for 12 people. It makes the class longer and annoying because it was not enough supplies for everybody. At the end we were asking to come back another day to finish our painting:( so ridiculous

Went there today for the paint your pet class with my girlfriend and friends and it was a lot of fun. I have experience with building military models but never painted portraits like this and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the painting of my parents German Shepherd turned out. Hes such a good dog with a super funny personality. The instructor did well explaining how to paint certain areas and how to blend colors. Some stuff I just gave my best and it turned out well. I have the portrait hanging on my wall. :)

Its not for Beginners. Just left class at 620 location & threw my canvas away. :( Beware--this class has NO INSTRUCTION on how to paint, blend colors, basics like how to thin the amount of paint on canvas--NOTHING! I needed instruction/help but the format is too fast for that. The music was fun but the instructor (MaKenna) was boring with a monotone voice. I raised my hand a couple of times for help and although she did come over and make a suggestion she went right back up on-stage to continue. I understand that its a group class with people at different levels but PWAT needs to clarify on their site that its NOT for people who have never painted before and that you wont get personalized instruction. Oh, and did I mention the horribly uncomfortable metal stools they have you sit on?? Ugh!

So much fun! Our team purchased the at home painting kits for a team building activity, and it was awesome that everyone got to choose their own design. The kits came with everything you could need, including aprons! Painting With a Twist was super accommodating with picking up the kits, and had excellent customer service! Overall I definitely recommend this place! Everyone who works there is super nice and patient. I did a paint your per night with a girlfriend of mine. Raina did a fantastic job of sketching everything out for us so it was all very clearly laid out. I will say that if you re a true beginner like myself, you may not start with that one. It s definitely more individualized since everyone is painting something different so everyone is going at their own pace. The main instructor was super sweet but did go a little fast (for me). I got lost a few times and needed a lot of help. One of the assistants, Adrienne, saw that and took the time to assist me a ton. She really made the experience for me so thank you Adrienne!! Highly recommend if you have some painting experience!

I ve done several of these paintings and this is by far the worst experience at this studio. The instructor spent all of her time only working on her painting and didn t give any individualized instruction. The assistant was nowhere to be found and I had to get my own paint and extra napkins. I m very disappointed with this experience. Would not recommend for anyone trying to have a good time out/date night. Must have painting experience which is not what was advertised.

Fantastic and fun experience for Valentines day with my partner! My ONLY critique: even left handed, it is preferred by participants for the lead artist to do the project on the video screened canvas to at LEAST see where you are step by step for everyone. Very nice people who run the business also the Painting Instructor was patient with all the people in her class including my husband they made it fun and everone was able to relax as well they played games afterwards everyone looked like they very much so Enjoyed themselves first time we were there and we will be going back

This was my first time ever doing a class like this and let me tell you I am now hooked! Its so much fun and I didnt feel intimidated at all like I thought I would. The staff was so helpful with instruction and I feel like I definitely got my moneys worth. I cant wait to do another one.

I have been to this location 3 times and it has always been great but this last time was not so great. There were about 10 of my friends and family there for my birthday and we made it fun but the instructor definitely did not. She was not very interactive, was very low energy, and didnt play any games as we had in the past. I was a little bumbed about the lack of interest or energy from the instructor but I am glad I had a group of friends and family that helped make it fun.

I recently had my birthday party here. Absolutely a fun night with friends and family. Our teacher and her assistant were friendly and helped add to the fun. Even if you feel inadequate as an artist you will be pleased with the results.

Always a fun time going to Painting with a Twist. You can bring your own food & drinks, socialize and get creative with the help of the staff. Only downfall is the classes feel rushed sometimes and I would also prefer smaller more intimate groups

My boyfriend and I both had a WONDERFUL experience at Painting with a Twist! It was Paint your Pet night which made it that much better. We love our dogs and now have two cute paintings of them that weve hung on our walls. The teachers were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and and kind! They rock! We brought dinner and wine and had such a great time!
