Riley was a great server and the food was absolutely amazing! If you like spicy bloody Marys, they do it right with slices of jalapeno in the mix! Dietary restrictions: The servers ask when seating if any dietary restrictions. The menu is heavily inclusive with almost everything on the menu having a gluten free option Wheelchair accessibility: Street level with no stairs. Theres an elevator for the restroom.

Incredible restaurant focused on Mexico City dishes. I sat at the bar and had their brunch menu. Luke and Javi were friendly and provided great service! They have a really nice selection of tequila and mezcal. As far as the food, I was thoroughly impressed! I ordered the short rib hash on the brunch menu and it was one of the spiciest dishes I ve had in Austin as of late! All of the flavors in the dish came together and complimented the spice very well. Fair warning though, if you do not like spice, do not order this dish. They also had $4 margaritas during brunch which was a steal! Will definitely be back, overall such a great experience!

I ve walked past this place dozens of times but had never eaten here. After visiting Mexico City the name caught my eye and we stopped in for dinner and it was great. We didn t have super high expectations as it s not in Mexico City, but we thought the food and drinks were great. Plus happy hour lasts until 7, even on a Friday night which was great.

This place isnt as good as I remember it. The menu is very limited. My party really didnt feel inspired by anything and got the mole chicken. I got the quesadilla, which was just a taco (large folded tortilla chip) with cheese and beef - not two stacked tortillas. They serve the guac with 3 large tortilla chips, which is not enough for the amount of guac and then charge you $3 for three more chips. Same with the mole chicken, they talk about it being family style but give you just a few tiny (street taco size) tortillas, forcing you to ask for more $$. Refills on ice tea $$. Its a little silly for a restaurant of this price point to nickel and dime like that.

Lovely ambience with below average food, average service and exorbitant prices. Where do I start a Mexican restaurant that charges for chips for a guacamole where the guacamole (plain) is more expensive than many of their main dishes! Extremely small portion sizes. Limited menu options and below average food. The corn tortillas that are served are hard and food from the main dishes lacked flavors. This place also lacked vegan or vegetarian options. An extremely disappointing experience, the food left a lot to be desired, do not recommend this place if you are looking for a satisfying meal, for that there are other options in the vicinity. Really, really liked this place. The ambiance is so enjoyable. It s right off of 2nd street so you can see all the lights on the trees. There s a parking garage right beside the restaurant on Guadalupe street. The happy hour menu is amazing. Half off the entire list of drinks. Must sit in the bar area for the happy hour. More seating in the area than pictured, including a small patio. They have some amazing tequila options. We couldn t believe the complexity and flavor of the El Cubico. The tacos are authentic with corn tortillas that are smooshed and hand cooked. Great place for gf and df. Very happy with the tacos! Thank you Luke and staff for the amazing experience!

What an amazing spot! We sat in the bar and were served by Luke and brandy - who were spectacular. We enjoyed perfectly balanced creative cocktails and authentic delicious unique appetizers. They have a large selection of mezcals and tequilas - I tried one and really liked it. I highly recommend for groups celebrating or just date night out. Lovely place with really attentive and entertaining staff. Unfortunately I just really think the menu is not all that good. When they bring out tortillas theyre incredibly hard and difficult... most of the food is just not convenient to eat and the flavors are not all that great. If youre going to do family style make it convenient to portion. Ceviche was not that great either. I get that they are doing their own take on traditional dishes but I just dont think their take is neither tasty nor convenient in the way they prepare and serve it. The flavors are also uninspiring, some more than others. The guacamole was just guacamole but quite expensive, this seem to be the recurring theme. The dishes were the some of their parts but there was nothing transcendent in terms of flavor about any of it. And this is a shame because Mexican food really can be done in an upscale way and be amazing. Just not this chef.

So disappointed! What kind of Mexican Restaurant charges $3 for a side of extra salsa? A slap in the face! The service was painfully slow due to a clear lack of staff. Portions were frustratingly small and their 4 oz drinks are absurdly overpriced $16+. The huarache was too thick (masudo) and completely missed the mark on flavor could definitely use more salsa, maybe that wouldve made it taste better however, when I asked for extra salsa, they told me it would be a $3 charge, which is just pathetic. For the best Huarache in town, go to Mi Tradición (now thats a Huarache). The sopes were so tiny they were smaller than an Oreo cookie. The only saving grace was the queso. We spent $100 for just two people. Also, good luck finding parking. They dont even provide drink coasters. My table was wet and they didnt bother wiping it. The place itself is beautiful, but I wont be going back. As someone that was raised in Mexico, I refuse to pay extra for salsa. Que pues!? Así no se puede!

Went here with my partner for a late date night and had Sabrina as our waitress. She was fantastic and was quick to answer any and all questions we had about the menu and gave us great recommendations as well. We started with the Queso Flameado which had cheese unlike pretty much anything we d ever had and the entire dish was incredibly tasty. They craft all their tortillas by hand and they smell and taste like it! We also had a limited time ceviche as part of their Summer Tampico menu which we fell in love with the second it touched our tongues. The shrimp and cocktail sauce in this dish was 10/10. For our main dish we tried the Carne Asada. Everything about La Condesa s food sets it apart from the rest and the Carne Asada was no different. Juicy, chewy, and perfectly cooked to medium rare, we were told to save room for dessert by Sabrina but couldn t stop ourselves from devouring that meat And lastly, the dessert. My partner had the Churros as well as their Brown Sugar Banana ice cream, and I had the Tres Leches with a side of Peach ice cream. For me, the Tres Leches was the best I ve ever had, with a delectable peach glaze on top, and the Peach ice cream was a great pairing. Overall, I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. We definitely will be coming back.

This was our first time at La Condesa. We went about 5:00 p.m. for happy hour only. We parked in a nearby parking garage, as street parking downtown can be difficult. We sat in the bar area and easily found two seats. It was a nice setting. The service was excellent!! And the happy hour special was excellent also! My key fob fell onto the floor while there, and they were already closed for the night before I realized it. They held it for me until I could get back to town a couple of days later, and quickly got it when we came in for it. We want to try the food, and we will definitely come back!

The food was incredibly delicious! From the appetizer to the dessert. The drinks were also tasty the mescalita was something so delicious. I love that this restaurant keeps the authenticity of the Mexican disses ! No fusion, no Tex-mex, The house made tortillas are made with masa from Mexico en the queso es so delicious! The servers, especially Josh and Ino , you can tell they love what they do! I rarely go to any Mexican restaurant in Austin since I get often disappointed! However, Condesa never disappoints, there even though is pricey I feel like I am back home. The only thing I don t like the parking situation, but it does not deters me from enjoying the visit to La Condesa!
