Terrible. Waste of money and time! Use Tailor Brands or whatever else there is but avoid Legal Zoom like the plague!!!! Absolute garbage company and terrible customer service. As for customer care they sent me to sales after 2 hours to answer the questions sales sent me to customer care for. They just copy and paste answers to send the problem to someone else hoping you grow tired and leave them alone.

I paid for an expedited service and it s been a month with no response from this company. Mind you, expedited package means 1-2 express shipping business days MAX. I later found out they sent my LLC papers ONE WEEK after I had purchased the expedited package. But they never respond ANY emails. You email support and no one replies. So, I have to call and waste my time every week to follow-up and explain my case. Every time each customer service representative says something different. At this point I feel like I ve been scammed and it s a fraud. They don t care, worst customer service and operations. DO NOT use them for your business services. Never again.

Legal Zoom sends out deceptive emails asking for updated card information even when your card is current. They make you think that if you dont reply to the email, your membership will automatically be discontinued. I did not want to renew my membership. Not only was my card current, but they renewed my membership for $300 and would not reverse the charge literally minutes after I saw that my card was charged. These emails are completely misleading and they are probably ripping off a ton of people.

Dont use them for an LLC. I made the mistake of using them because I was too busy to do the filings myself. Filing a LLC is easy and you can basically YouTube it. I paid for expedited service for a LLC, including their premium service. I called and they are waiting on the US mail when everything is now done electronically. I actually went to the local Clerk of the Deeds to do the local registry and returned it to them but their production staff has to ok it...It takes about a week in TN to do the LLC including the SS-4 letter with the IRS...Their finish date is going to be 3-4 weeks because their system sucks....Save your money...

Wish I could give zero stars. I ordered my EIN through LegalZoom in February, it s July and I still have nothing. I have spent over 15+ hours on the phone, always getting different answers or told it s in process , followed by an email two days later that there is an error. I have sent in my documents 5+ times, LZ continually makes errors on my information so the documents have to be re-done, I have been told they are close to completion, then told by someone else they haven t been submitted. I have spend ~$500 and could have saved myself SO MUCH MONEY AND TIME had I done this on my own. AVOID LEGALZOOM AT ALL COSTS. File directly with the IRS, save yourself the headache.

Scammers. Very bad experience. 0 Stars.. Stay away from them. Highly manipulative. They charge you silently on subscriptions & renewals. We contacted their customer care before a month and asked them to cancel one of subscription we no longer need, but they didn t cancelled. That s clearly Legalzoom s operations failure. And they charged for subscription. When we call them for refund , they start reading all their policies. But conveniently ignore their operation s failure .

BUYER BEWARE - I want to warn other consumers to pay close attention to the fine print when purchasing the LLC Premium package. I was unaware that it included an annual subscription of $199, which was only revealed in small print at the bottom of the initial invoice after purchase. There are no email reminders about this charge; you only find out when it appears on your credit card statement. When I called to cancel, I was initially told it wasnt their policy to refund, and later, I was informed it was because it was beyond the 30-day period from the initial purchase. Additionally, there was no record of my phone call within the 30-day period because it was categorized under another topic I called about. This experience felt like deceptive advertising. -- I sent several emails only to be directed to call customer service. They all said there is nothing they can do because it is beyond their timeframe. So far, it has been a negative experience where I felt like I was talking to a wall and received no help. This is a warning to others about their deceptive advertising technique. Their website does not mention the additional annual subscription. The Premium Package comes with an option to continue with the Business Attorney Plan, which is an additional monthly fee disclosed at purchase, along with an email reminder to opt in or out. -- Additionally, after over a month, they still have not provided the services they advertised, as I still have not received my EIN number. (June 25, 2024) IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER ON JULY 2, 2024: I appreciate your response, but your customer service was not helpful. They denied my refund, claiming it was beyond the 30-day period, which I could not find stated anywhere. Additionally, other customers within the same period mention a 60-day timeframe to cancel. I called twice within the timeframe (I found a second call in my phone log), but the calls were logged under a different topic. ~~ Your company does not seem genuinely concerned about helping customers; you just want the money and refuse to reimburse, claiming it is your policy. This is very disappointing. ~~ As for the EIN issue, I contacted the IRS directly and resolved it myself. If I had waited for your process, I would have waited indefinitely because they will not issue another number. This is a moot point now, as I resolved the issue on my own.

My business partner and I realized that we can save a lot of money by not paying Legalzoom to be our registered agent so my business partner called Legalzoom that tell them that he will be the agent and that their services are no longer needed. Months later, I noticed around a $299 charge on my credit card. I called Legalzoom to find out what is the reason for this charge. I was told that they do have record of my business partner calling them but the rep said they somehow did not record that he wanted to cancel service; therefore, they are not obligated to refund me the $299 charge. I asked why am I being charged for something that I do not use and after my business partner called in with intention to cancel. I brought up insurance companies that Ive used as examples of companies willing to refund me for services not rendered. Unfortunately, I had to accept the its in the service agreement so too bad so sad type of response. Note: be sure to get extra confirmation that they actually cancelled the subscription or they will happily keep your money.

Very bad experience with Legal Zoom. I was told when signing up that they could do tax prep for me for $99/month, which seemed like a good deal. After the first year I didnt really find it helpful. Basically if I could get someone on the phone it would be a rushed call that would last 30minutes and not really help me much at all. So I tried to cancel through my Rocket money and through my paypal. I thought I canceled the 2nd year, but I continued getting charged. So I tried to cancel again and it wouldnt let me. Finally I called there phone bank, and they were incredibly un helpful. They told me that I have to pay the entire year through, even though I dont use the service and am charged on a monthly basis. I wasnt even asking for a refund, I just wanted to stop the subscription. I have never dealt with something like this before, where you pay monthly and cant stop it for an entire year. Its theft honestly. Horrible experience and I feel like they are stealing from me at this point and offer no help. Its really saddening as I was encouraging friends in the same field as me to also use their services to sign up for an LLC. However now that I see how they operate I will be telling anyone I can to avoid them at all costs. Very disappointed by this, I will be also reporting this to the Better Business Bureau.

Stay away from here. They charged me 600 and although their system is messing up and not letting me complete anything they will not refund me. I ve had this for a month and raised the issue 2 weeks ago and they still tell me they can t refund anything because supposedly they filed my LLC although I have not been able to fill out anything. Their system is flawed or they just try to scam you. I ve tried putti nib bin multiple complaints and no one has been able to help me even after it said the payment went through they still weren t able to complete my application not even on their part and they still would not give me a refund. Best advice is stay away from legal zoom they can t even offer you the services you paid for.

So far it has been a terrible experience and not productive to starting a business or getting your documents done professionally. Customer service is not good. I used them for my first DBA thinking it would be more efficient to utilize their advertised expertise, than to run around to different county and state offices myself. I probably should have done it myself. I was hoping to use them for future forms when I am able to grow my business into an LLC and beyond, but not if they cant get a simple DBA done quickly and efficiently. Their Customer Service is not good. I a not sure if they are using a service in another country, but they shouldnt be. Use US Based CS Agents who know US law and Ste Forms. That is the only way to be the company you advertise to be.

Please please listen to this review. You will notice that every site has bad review numbers for them. They scrub Google and unless you know what you re doing you won t be able to bring the truth about these criminals. The folks leaving good reviews about their company will learn down the road. All they did was help them file the paperwork. So they re happy but listen to a story. My story. And I ve learned it isn t the only one. Legal Zoom states that if you are unhappy with a purchase within 60 days you can get a refund. This is NOt TRUE. They are seriously the worse company you can work with. You re better downloading a form PDF online for your needs. Don t believe me? Get a hold of their terrible and insulting customer service and ask one question. Can you give me any advice what so ever legally? They CAN NOT!! I lost hundreds of dollars with them. They admittedly told me that they can t help me fill out ANY of the paperwork that my State sent me. They can t even tell me what the questions mean so I could fill it out. I signed up for their LLC Premier package. Premier?!? HA! Once my state sent me the necessary documents to continue to file for the needed documents. Legal zoom turned their back on me. Even super simple questions that the secretary at my state licensing finally told me over the phone. These guys would NoT even tell me what the questions meant. So not only can t they give advice. They can t even tell you what a question you have means. Then the package was supposed to be a straight rate and included filing fees like 900 bucks alone and I got ZERO premier help. All they did was file partly. See they couldn t do any of the special filing my state required. So the site says I can get a refund within 60 days if I m not happy right so I m protected. NOPE! They gave me 150 back of the 900 and claimed it was filing fees. LOL, federal and state fees are 250 total expedited! Then,literally hid monthly fees in their packages and they are automatically clicked. So if you re a trusting person and think you re paying flat fee for a service. Check your CC statements. They charged me EXTRA fees for two months before I caught it. Fees for services I didn t need or use. Then when I called to say hey what the heck?!? They said, sorry you should have read the fine print and noticed what would be ongoing charges. Not sorry. Not oh I seen that you didn t use the services so we will refund your money. NO! I disputed the charges and because I could not prove that I didn t click the fee boxes or noticed in super fine print that they would charge me monthly that it is what it is. I had to cancel my card and stop using ALLY Bank. Am I angry, you bet. Forgive any of these mistakes in grammar or punctuation. But please please just ask them. Hey if I get some paperwork from my state can I call and ask you anything? They legally can t So you re on your own. So why pay them any money?! Also why risk extra monthly charges if you aren t super great at starting a business. I could have hired an accountant or real attorney for what they took from me. They also would NOT honor their 60 day refund policy. So if they use that to say give us a try. You will not see your money back. They hardest they worked for me was to argue that they don t want my dispute to happen. So yea when it comes to working hard to keep any money that they can trick out of you then watch out. Email me to ask me any questions. I will be happy to answer them. These guys are EVIL!! Customer service laughed at me and said I should learn to read fine print. So read this fine print. That they can not answer any questions on your forms legally and won t. They also can not give you any advice!! Why pay someone hundreds or thousands of dollars to not be able to help you and risk missing some hidden fees. Literally they were charging me for 3 different monthly services that I didn t want or need or even used. If you read this review and still use them, I warned you. That s all I will say. Watch for any so called developer responding to this ad. They just don t care.

I paid LegalZoom to start an S-corporation They never even filed the paperwork with the IRS to make the business a S-corporation.. they charged me an extra couple, hundred dollars for the filing and never filed it.. I would highly suggest setting your business up yourself. It s much easier. And you know that it s done right. I would steer clear of legal zoom!!! They don t even have American customer service people they outsource their work to India. So you re giving Indian all of your crucial and vital information. I would say it s more or less a scam. Legal Zoom is the BOMB! Spoke TO 4 REPS TODAY 3/6/24 and got so much accomplished. Ive been working with Legal Zoom since Feb 2023 and theyre awesome. I spoke to Carl Davis, Christorey (Chris) Jorgio, Morica (I hope I spelled right) and Alexis Guajardo they were so great and very professional. Extremely detailed. I strongly recommend!! HORRIBLE....stay away. I had to apply for a standard DBA, they gave me three duplicates and charged me three times. Would not fix or offer refund. Beyond me and said it was my fault, like I would want to pay for the exact same DBA to be filed three times. I will never use them again and hope that no one else does either. Went o Rocket Lawyer instead. Go anywhere but here, it is very unprofessional will be disbuting the charges because they basically stole from me.

Worst experience ever. I m at 2,5 months and still not getting my LLC done. I m calling twice a day now , one agent told me they got the signature , another agent told me they did not have my signature. No calls no emails from them telling me there is an issue. I mail the paperwork through USPS letter , they never get it. Then I contact them they asking for tracking number, there is no tracking number on regular letters. Agent advised to EMAIL it to him, I did on the phone he confirmed he get it . Two weeks letter I m calling again , they saying the don t have it Omg , what a waste of my time I asked for a refund, they told me sorry it s been more than 60 days and we can t get you the refund. Horrible as of Feb 1, 2024 theyre trying to keep my $890.00 for my trademark. Ive been deeply depressed and stressed since October 2023 dealing with them. They have all these fees thats supposedly due under your profile. Which end up being options after I gave them a free 100 on something wasnt needed but it had DUE ON THERE. Im 1 day behind my due date I sent the logo in but the trying refuse receiving my state filling fees. I paid over $700.00 on my llc. I wish I read all the info I have before dealing with them. Its no reason to refuse my payment if everything else is done and paid. I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM TRADEMARK SAYING TO CALL N THE PAYMENT. BUT THEY THE EXTENSION HADNT BN APPROVED SO THEY CANT TAKE IT! SOMEONE REQUESTED THE EXTENSION 2 DAYS BEFORE THE DEADLINE. I have over 1300 pieces under the nm but I didnt want to build up a brand I didnt own. So once I own the name then Ill put it out. Legal is alot to deal with. I literally bn in bed for 2 days since being denied an extension whn I dont need to do anything but hv them take the money I was 1 day behind Ive paid the big bills just take the state filing fees. Im stress high blood pressure. Im sick.

I tried to get a refund through customer service, but it seems their departments dont even communicate properly with each other - I never got my scheduled call back. My legal zoom agent made the process very simple and smooth. So far. I think this is a great service to help a business get started. Update: My agent was great so this is not regarding the agent. there are some steps that legal zoom doesnt cover when setting up your account. Also, I learned the process of establishing an LLC since using legal zoom. Its really something that you can do on your own and it saves you money. I would rather do it myself knowing the process now.

Where do I begin...everytime Ive called customer service, I end up frustrated! They NEVER call back as promised, they can only handle so much, and half the time, its someone that doesnt even really comprehend the English language! Now Im told I have to continue paying $159 a month for 7 more months for something Im not using, nor have used AT ALL because its useless!!! Evidently, unbeknownst to me, in February, it auto-renewed, and if I wouldve canceled before 60 days was up, I couldve gotten out of a 12-month commitment! Worst customer service experience of my life! If there was a negative 5 rating, and I could only give one, I would give it to Legal Zoom. They send you in endless circles with nobody actually helping with the issue and always saying someone will contact you within 1 business day - but you never hear from them. They claim they dont have any phone numbers internally of people that can help and they send issues to the mysterious Executive Escalations team - whom Ive NEVER heard back from. I cant even begin to explain how horrific it has been trying to get them to complete the task I paid for - I would never in a million years recommend anyone suffer through what Ive suffered through with them over endless hours of phone calls and sitting on hold for hours on end only to have them say someone will be in touch - which never happens.

Honestly, 0 stars. 7 customer service agents and still could not get my simple LLC done as expedited. The rogue customer service agents that they hire need to all be terminated with people who understand the english language. I paid for expedited service with a 1 day turnaround. They couldnt figure out how to get my signature for the LLC and finally fixed it after 6 phone calls. After 3 BUSINESS days, they tell me that my registered agent is not registered in the TEXAS SOS. I sent them proof that it was directly from the state and they would not accept it. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. They are the worst!

Absolutely horrible.....took 8 weeks for a 48 hr NM llc which i paid for the 20 day service. 10 weeks later Im still missing the 3rd page of the Articles of Organization so i cant file for a bank account etc. I have called Legal Zoom multiple times just to be told that i need to refile with the SOS to recover the missing documents that i paid legal zoom for that are madatory to file the llc. My SALES experience was SEEMINGLY great. Everyone seemed knowledgeable and professional; however, the end result was terrible. The back office (not including customer facing Customer Care) is terrible. They could not process a simple DBA without controversy. They cannot scan documents properly (leaving them clean enough to read). The sales team did not inform me of physical mail requirements and how that would significantly delay the process. They do NOT have a customer facing management system in place to take complaints or recommendations for improvement. I would NOT recommend LegalZoom at all. It was a waste of my time and effort, and I will never get that time back. I have cancelled my account and requested a full refund. They would not even offer an expedited service to help make up for their problem. $50 value to make it right and it didnt happen. Shocking to me. Additionally, the charge for what they offer is ~85% higher than doing it yourself.
