My business partner and I just started an LLC in Austin. We sell product online through Amazon. We were in the process of getting set up to use Amazon FBA when we realized that registering an LLC in multiple states to collect and remit sales tax was much more difficult than expected. Many of the states have very complicated tax laws for foreign entities, and when we would seek the states help for our questions we would in many cases get inconsistent and vague answers. A friend of mine recommended I reach out to Rad Wood at Vela Wood Law, and that they deal with the kind of problems small businesses face on a regular basis. The results I received from Rad and his law clerk were incredible and exactly what I needed. They were able to explain things in a way where I understood, provided all the necessary information and sources, and made me confident that when Im registering with these states that Im doing so correctly. I first met Radney Wood through a mutual friend while involved in a contract dispute. Rad agreed to defend me if needed and walked me through the process of filing my own lawsuit under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Rad was very informative, knowledgeable, communicative, and helpful. I later used Rad to set up a Texas LLC and the complex 45-page company agreement. He has also done the investor agreement for another deal I invested in. Rad is very thorough and easy to work with and I would recommend him to anyone needing commercial or business litigation, help setting up a new entity, or general business transactions.
