Great fun and friendly staff, a nice hidden gem in north Austin. The system is Korean, but if youve used a smartphone in the past decade and listen to the helpful staffs instructions you can easily find the songs youre looking for. Not as many English songs as other places but we still found plenty to sing along to for three hours. BYOB and definitely call ahead to make a reservation, especially on the weekends.

This is my first time leaving a review. We just walked-in to HiTuns (May 10, 2024 @ 9:00 PM), a front desk worker (man) said a minimum hour is 2 hours. We thought this is a policy, but we found out that there is no minimum hour for walk-in customers. I attached the screenshots of HiTuness policy. I have no plan to dispute with this while I enjoy my time here, but I dont think this is a right attitude nor customer service. If the owner wants to set this as a minimum hour, then this information shouldve indicated clearly with the correct information at the store website. Most importantly, a front desk server has no attitude to welcome customers. If he explained well with the attitude, I wouldve not felt unwelcomed.

Rented a large room for 14 people. We had a lot of space and the room was nice! For 3 hours, each person paid around $13! You can bring your own food and drinks, just as long as it follows guidelines. We had a good time and I would definitely come again! Music selection was almost perfect! Parking: Parking lot was full, but we were able to find a spot!

The room we got was nicely sized even though they called it a small over on the website. Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the place was. That is, until we opened up the song selection menu. Its hard to see how the songs were sorted or find the song we wanted. The controller was easy enough to figure out, until we wanted the backing vocals again. Couldnt find a button to put the original song back on for the life of us. Overall, it was a great experience with a few hiccups here and there. Edit: saw this on another review, but the music videos in the background did not match the vibe of the songs at all, which made some moments funny but other times frustrating. Sometimes, the core memory of a karaoke is also seeing the actual music videos.

They have a limited selection but its super fun! I called at six and made a reservation for 730 to 930, the minimum two hours. We regretted not getting it for longer. we tried to extend, but they were unable to accommodate because they were so busy! Will be back

Make a reservation! For songs, their system is that you scan a QR code, then look up the song you want online, identify the code, then type the code into the keyboard. We paid $45 total for 2 hours for 5 people which was pretty reasonable. However, I wasn t a fan of how they expected us to tip for simply bringing water bottles (which we paid for) to our room.

It would have another star if they helped out with finding the song numbers. Gone are the printed out sheets(that s fine, save some trees?) The QR code takes you to a completely Korean page with no translation button(oh, we asked for HELP) Like really, look them up before you go to save on your booking time. Not as many English songs as we would have liked. Completely random background on the screen for those English songs, which made for some funny moments. The K-pop items have the accompanying music video. Clean rooms and bathrooms, chill location and friendly staff. Still great on our second visit, great price, will go back for another blast!

The rooms are always ice cold and really clean, which is nice. The staff is always ready to help with anything you ask and are very welcoming. The check in and out process is very easy. The song selection is always updated pretty frequently, especially with kpop releases. This is also the only karaoke bar I know that has romanized lyrics. I have tried several other places and this is definitely my favorite.

TL;DR - Wonderfully friendly staff, clean and well cared for rooms, good song selection, fair prices, BYOB, STRONGLY recommend :) I cant fully explain just how pleasant of an experience this was. The staff was wonderfully friendly, the prices were incredibly fair, and the rooms were all lovingly cared for and clean. My friends and I were very loud with our Karaoke, and we were allowed to go all out just as we wanted. We made reservations for 4 hours, and that passed quickly with just how much fun we were all having. We had one issue with a single song that wouldnt work, but overall the song selection was very satisfactory, and we had plenty of fun doing some a capella. I strongly recommend if you would like to enjoy karaoke without the hustle and bustle of an open mic bar to come here. You 100% will have a good time. My friends and I had a very lovely evening here, and we will be making reservations again. After, of course, our throats recover from going all out.

HiTunes!!! Love this traditional Korean karaoke place. Private rooms with fun lights! Please bring a jacket as it is very cold inside! Make sure to call ahead and make a reservation please! Excellent pricing and friendly staff! The song library is extensive and great but they do not have every single song so keep that in mind. I still loved it. Very important to note it is BYOB and Food! So bring whatever you want to have a good time! Next time I will definitely reserve more than 2 hours as it is not enough! Thank you HiTunes!!

We popped in randomly on a weekday night and were not disappointed. This place has a very clean and fun atmosphere with accommodating rooms and friendly employees. We planned to stay for two hours but were able to easily extend another hour after having so much fun. Great song selections and nice sound setup too. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and will be returning soon.

I ve been to karaoke places in Japan, Korea, and Los Angeles and Hi-Tunes is by far the best place I ve been to. This place is one of the reasons why I regret moving away from Austin to be honest! I always love going to Hi Tunes. I highly recommend making an appointment, since theyre most of the time booked if you try to walk in. Anything thats byob already has a special place in my heart, but the folks at Hi Tunes are always friendly, they show you how to use the machines. The facilities are always clean. Really fun to come here with friends and sing your heart out in the comfort of good company (AKA not drunkenly at a karaoke bar). They have a huge list of songs to choose from, including recent hits and old favorites. I think they had Ariana Grande s thank u, next song only weeks after it came out. Plus they have a ton of Korean and Chinese songs in the directory too. The rate usually comes out to ~$13 per person. I m not entirely convinced that the rating system that pops up after each song is correct, so don t get offended if you get a low score. I wish they had more mid to early 2000s adult alternative radio hits, but the facility and staff here still always make sure it s a fun time.

Small Korean karaoke place. The rooms are perfectly sized for the median suggested size of the rooms. It would definitely be crowded if you were ambitious enough to cram the upper limit of people per room. BYOB is a nice model. Song selection is larger than expected. In order from most to least songs: Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese. You might also have the adjust mic gain/volume. Songs also have tempo and pitch adjustments. Would recommend.

Always have an amazing time here! Anytime I wanna get a group together for some karaoke, this is the place I go to. Beautiful rooms! Fun lighting. And I love that the microphones are wireless so we can freely move around the room and not trip on the wires. Staff is sweet and helpful. You can bring your own food and alcohol. Great place for karaoke. Its clean and the guys behind the counter were great and explained how to use the machines. Its byob here but they have food if you need. Ive been going to Hi Tunes since they first opened. What makes this place special is the bright, colorful, and clean rooms combined with a terrifically friendly staff and music options that span many languages. Hi Tunes has a lenient outside food and drink policy which allows for you to bring whatever you might want to the venue. While it can get loud on their busy nights, you are often so engulfed in your own fun that you barely notice. Go earlier in the evening for more space and room options if you dont want to wait for one to open up. Juwon, the owner, is a caring manager who often is seen hanging out and helping the staff. I 100% recommend Hi Tunes over any other Korean Karaoke joint in Austin.

They have all the english hits of course, but if you happen to speak japanese or korean i think youll have an even better time (they have a huge kpop selection). This is my main spot that I go to party. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They have a large variety of songs to choose from. Multiple genres and new songs are added monthly, but not American songs. They charge by the room size, which are private, and not by the person per hour. Its BYOB. Great place! Highly recommend for any occasion, and they are open super late on weekends so you can go any time youre feeling up to it but make sure you reserve because it gets busy! Although we didnt have a res they were super quick, almost instantaneously grabbed us a room. Staff was super attentive, and really laid back. Rooms were VERY clean, and its BYOB. Great environment and SONG SELECTION. I used to never like karaoke until I was taken here!

Decent karaoke place for the price. Definitely fun, just wish service was a little friendlier and faster.
