They are very thorough and make sure you have everything you need to be able to get the results youre looking for. Very straightforward and professional. Bobby was extremely helpful and made it easy to work with them. The cost was not so bad considering the benefits. I would definitely recommend Michael and his team to help others get their green card. He usually answers texts messages right away so thats how I used to communicate with him. BUYER BEWARE. I do not know how this business has 5 stars. Please please please just heed my warning. They may have a low price to file for green card, but his staff is absolutely awful and that is why the price is low. They will not tell you when your documents arrive, they will not provide interview information. You have to call daily for this as they dont care. They will explain the benefits of working with them and then after you pay thousands of dollars they will tell you different information after you already filed for the green card and have waited for months. The lawyer himself terminated our agreement because I fought back and told him the lies he provided us in the beginning via email with him and his paralegal. He is now sending the remaining balance to collections. We were his client, he lied to us regarding travel permits, and now he is telling me he never guaranteed anything and that I am unable to fight him in court. He protects himself from anything because you have to sign an agreement that confirms he is allowed to change everything. IF YOU USE THIS BUSINESS AND IT GOES WRONG, DO NOT BLAME THEM. BLAME YOURSELF BECAUSE I WARNED YOU HERE. There are so many lawyers in Austin, TX. Simply use a different one. Update as of 12/12/23 as Michael is trying to reply and look like I am not providing the entire picture. We have consulted another lawyer on this topic and the results are confirmed. We only had 2 questions for Michael when we started this process in March. The timeline and success of the travel and work permits. Without any hesitation he gave us the typical time frame. He let us know both are typically processed in 4 - 8 months. He knew this was important to us so she can see her family, etc. Exactly 5 months into the process I asked him his thoughts as we received the work permit 2 months prior. He told us verbatim I dont know when they are going to approve the advance parole (travel permit). Thats completely up to USCIS. I dont see many of those approved before the green card. Since shes not here for a green card interview, it seems unlikely that shell get approved for a green card (since she wont be able to attend the interview). So its likely that she will not get an advance parole if shes like most other applicants. This completely blind sided us as we trusted Michael. I then asked him why he lied to us in the beginning and his answer was Please be aware that we do not guarantee results or guarantee when applications will be approved. He then included legal wording from our contract agreement confirming this. Suffice to say, if he makes a mistake he will simply throw the contract in your face. Again, many lawyers in Austin, TX that can get you a green card. The process is extremely straight forward. The lawyer I consulted down the street from Michaels office is aware of all sides of this as is very sad that we are now in an extremely difficult predicament as my wife is now back in Mexico and has no way to come back to the US for a minimum of 1.5 years after many additional steps. Our new lawyer never lies to her clients and actually does not process a travel permit as there are risks involved if you do travel even with the permit approved. We only got about 10 to 15 minutes of his time ever through this process 5 months in and if he would have simple answered our question then with an honest answer on the travel permit we could have made a better decision for our future and career plans. Now she is unable to travel and thus the jobs she is attempting to get hired at are rejecting her outright. He let us know the paralegal that did 95% communication with us is no longer working there and also another staff member was going through a difficult time. We had other issues throughout that made him mention this to me. He messed up and threw the law at me when I confronted him. He will not have you back. Michael, you messed up, please stop trying to pretend you didnt.

The Immigration system is plagued with delays, mistakes by the system, and legal language that feels almost intentionally impossible to understand to discourage applications. Now add all of that and the fact that my particular case was one of the most complicated many firms had seen, and you have what I like to call a nightmare scenario. One I thought no immigration lawyer would be able to tackle or want to. One last search led me to Michael, and after reading all the fantastic reviews, even though I was skeptical, speaking to him and meeting him gave me the confidence to move forward. What I love about Michael and his team is that there is no sugarcoating. No telling you fluffy stories to make you feel better about one of the most challenging processes one will go through. Just got my green card this week. Michael was very helpful and easy to work with. We contacted a few immigration attorneys and we chose him because his rate is the most affordable. We were also pretty comfortable with him during the first phone call. Whenever we have questions, he was always available and responded quickly. Mr Ponder represented me during my application for citizenship, he was a delight to work with, and extremely knowledgeable of the process. He worked with me on some of the trickier parts of my application leaving me feeling very confident about the success, we went through the details of my application multiple times to make sure that I was comfortable with them and even did some practice interviews so that I would be less intimidated by the interview. Meetings were always punctual, at no time was the process rushed, both Mr Ponder and his office followed up on every detail all the way through to my citizenship ceremony. We had less then 10 days on a letter of intent to deny when we called Mr Ponder. He was honest about our chances, which were slim. We hired Micheal. He gave us a game plan and we executed it. In a week we sent or last chance response to USCIS. I believe Mr Ponder put the fear of abogado in USCIS. Two weeks letter we received our permanent residency card. We highly recommend Mr Micheal Ponder as our go to lawyer.

I highly recommend Michael Ponder.He pays attention to every detail large or small.He was very honest regarding my case from the beginning.I received phone calls from him after each one of my appointments making sure that everything was ok. A few years back I tried working with the Gonzalez firm, paid them in full & after having me bounce around from assistant to assistant and never fully helping me getting my case in full together and after requesting I provide endless paperwork proof, I didnt have, so I gave up on them.. Forward a few years after feeling faithless, hopeless, and helpless, and after hearing about Atty. Michael Ponder, I gave him a call, we met (the actual attorney, not an assitant) sat down gave my case a review, he pulled out a few law books, layed them out in front on the conference table went up and down referencing a few pages and he used plenty of sticky notes to bookmarks imports points he felt for my particular case and then he proceeded to give me a thumbs up on applying with his knowledge confidence and as well with his prior success rate on DACA applications to submit. About two weeks after submitting, I received a letter for and appointment for prints and background. A few months later I received another letter requesting further proof of stay, once that was submitted about two weeks after (and after many prayers) the approval letter arrived and then work card came in mail.. Michael or Miguel is with you every step of the way, great at keeping you updated or reminding you when deadlines to turn things in are coming up. He is patient, speaks spanish quite well, and is very available. Overall great experience with Miguel, & god willing I will continue to work with him in the future as long as his services are available. I have already been referring potential clients to him.. Thank you Michael again, definitely more tranquil with the raucous this new administration created at the moment.. ~Hector

Michael Ponder is an excellent immigration lawyer and although he had never taken on a same-sex case until ours prepared us for the worst case scenario all the while keeping up a most positive attitude. he took the stress out of the detail of something much greater than ourselves and put it into an approachable light.
