Upon entry, I was met by Allison, who checked me in and made sure I knew there was a happy hour in the meeting room from 6PM to 9PM Monday through Thursday, where they serve a different food each night and a drink. They also offer complimentary bottled water from the vending area in the lobby. To date, Ive never experienced this in a Holiday Inn Express until now. Being that Ive stayed here off and on for over a week, Ive had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Marlene, and Auvia, both of which gladly extended my stay when I needed to and were very friendly. I also met Eunice, who is the host that will serve you during happy hour, and is also very friendly. Sadly, I observed not many people tipped her. Being that this service is complimentary, the least you can do is tip her! Breakfast is the standard Holiday Inn Express hot breakfast with fruit and other items. Rooms are spacious and include a microwave and mini fridge. There is an outdoor pool out back with floaties. The whole time Ive been here its been quiet and I havent been bothered by anyone while outside day or night. Nearby amenities include a Walmart, a mall, and restaurants. I would HIGHLY recommend trying Interstellar BBQ a mere mile west and definitely get the smoked scalloped potatoes with your order. Thank me later!

We were met at the desk by Allison, who was very friendly and made us feel at home. She thoroughly pointed out all the important areas such as breakfast, evening IHG reception/happy hour, pool etc. She made sure we played the spin wheel game. We got 500 extra points! At happy hour Eunice seemed like an old friend. We visited and talked about our home towns. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Im not one to normally write reviews, but I feel this should be known. I travel quite often for business and dont normally get the over the top check-in service I did last night. I know and would be the first to tell someone thats just a persons job. But, Auvia went over and beyond! From the moment that I walked through the door throughout the whole checking process I felt important and not that typical superficial hi how are you doing;Whats your name credit card, etc. Auvia is a natural and great at her job and Thanks for the warm welcome!

The staff - extremely friendly and helpful. The location - very convenient and safe (Northen Austin in general are nicer). Surrounded by restaurants and malls. Looks like a newly developed area so everything around is clean and organized. The room and amenities - bright and clean. The beds are so comfortable. Laundry room and common area kept clean. It also comes with free and decent breakfast. The price - affordable. This is one of our favorite hotels in Austin area.

We meet some very interesting people . We definitely going to make this our main stay in austin. This is hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room was large and the beds were top quality! Everything was clean and well stocked. They provided us with great personal service. All the amenities were spot on! Didn t need anything because they had already provided everything we could ask for. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff were all friendly and courteous. They were always smiling and very kind. I could tell they enjoyed being customer representatives. We will DEFINITELY stay here again. Safety: I felt completely safe in this large comfortable room. It has the electronic lock, a dead bolt and the cross bar lock.

1June2024 I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. The gentleman(Luke)that was working on this day in the afternoon was spectacular and genuinely welcoming. He checked me in early and gave me a choice of which floor I wanted to be on. Gave me information pertaining to the property and when breakfast would be and where it would be held. The room is spacious and clean. Mini fridge is a decent size. There are two(2) peep holes on the hotel room door, one for the adult and one for the little ones. So stinkin caute. And in the best spot, right under the counter by the coffee center and microwave. Modern desk and office chair as well a ample seating all over the room. A roller cube seat that is tucked away neatly. Ample closet space with iron and ironing board. The hair dryer is on corner shelf in the entry of the hotel room. The shower has Dove products that smell amazing. So many spots to sleep on..fold out sofa and King size bed. Fitness center that is open 24/7, nice size hot tub, and an outdoor pool that is 6ft deep. This Holiday Inn Express and Suites Austin NW is not far from restaurants, movie theater, Lakeline Mall, carwash, H.E.B plus!(love that store). You can walk or drive. There is ample parking on the property. My stay here was fine, comfortable, safe, and clean. Positive experience. Thank you Holiday Inn Express and Suites Austin NW. Marlene(Mgr)and her crew are wonderful. They great everyone patron that enters through the door. I had a few small things in my room that needed repair, Marlene got the maintenance guy to take care of stuff right away. I appreciate that. Housekeeping is always nice and prompt. Not sure why this is considered a two star hotel. I always read reviews before booking anywhere I go! This hotel was nice & clean. Staff was nice. Bedding was clean & white sheets! The pool area was clean & plenty of seats. The pool itself was clean. The only reason I couldn t give it a 5 star is because the mattress was to firm & we slept horribly. Breakfast was really good & hot & the seating area was clean. Overall we enjoyed our overnight stay.

SCAM! This place is a tourist trap, they will come up with any reason to charge your card freely after you leave. On top of that the police were in the parking lot taking down a police report because a guest had their vehicle broke into. This place is horrible, and they are infested with roaches, yuck! I dont recommend at all Rooms: Dirty bathroom, dirty sheets, phone doesnt work! Safety: Locks were broken on the door. Noteworthy details: A creepy bald guy that works the front desk at night. Only 1 person there that was nice was Mark, everyone else is super sketchy.

We dont come to Austin very often, but we came for a week to celebrate our anniversary this year. We searched and searched the city for an affordable hotel with a good location to downtown. We were not disappointed for choosing this location. During the day, took about 25-30 minutes to get to downtown. In the evenings, it would take about 15 minutes to get back to the hotel. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Very friendly staff. Rooms are clean. Parking is easy and most is out front. If youre a rewards member, they have a reception most evenings from 6-8pm (ask when checking in if they dont mention it). Breakfast is excellent. I dont know what else to say other than, if we are back in the area and need a hotel, well be checking here first.

We had an oversized room with a comfortable king bed and sofa. Dont know if all rooms are like that, as my wife made the reservation, but we certainly didnt need it for just one night. The room itself was clean, had micro and fridge, TV was good, but placed in front of sofa and was hard to watch from the bed, but everything worked and no noise or pot smell!! There was continental bkfst in the morning and it was good. Staff was courteous and good the few times we needed them - check in/out! Location was decent and near where we wanted to stay, but nothing special. We picked this hotel with inside rooms cuz the previous many nites we had outside rooms and there was pot smell most places. Its bad enuf that it smells like skunk (didnt used to), but it gives my wife headaches, and when we smell it in the rooms, all we can do is hope they have another room to move to- this is for non smoking rooms and even whole hotels being non smoking. It is getting harder and harder to find a hotel and more so, a room, that doesnt smell of pot anymore. Staying at hotels used to be ok, but since the pandemic, and more states being legal to smoke it, even non smoking hotels cant do anything but charge people for smoking in a non smoking room (which we found out in our last trip end of 2023 - pathetic). So now we are having to pay even more to stay at better hotels, but even that is no longer a guarantee we wont end up in a room that smells of pot. IF we can find an inside room hotel that is completely non smoking, thats only where we stay now, but again, it doesnt guarantee we wont get a room that had a pot smoker in it. We used to stay at Days Inn, Super 8, and the like, but now have to look for newer hotels and/or more expensive, like LA Quinta and even Marriott.

STAFF: Just Amazing! Very friendly, knowledgeable front desk and housekeeping personnel. Everyone was very friendly and greeted us with a smiling personalities. ROOMS: We stayed in Room 108 - it had a very strong smell of urine, this was very unfortunate. Great spacious room, soft bed and clean linens. Although we were unable to pull up the blinds, they were missing the pulley attachments. BATHROOM: Big, clean walk in shower. The shower had two shower heads with fantastic water pressure.

Where do I begin. The pool is green, the most disgusting water Ive ever seen, and likely a health nightmare. I had to change rooms right away due to their being multiple large stains on both beds. Clean beds are the bare minimum you look for in a hotel. The woman at the front desk didnt even apologize for the dirty room, just brushed it off like it happens frequently. After switching rooms, the second one at least had clean linens but the bathroom had multiple yellow stains, rust, and paint in the tub. The windows looked like they hadnt been washed in years, with the hallway windows looking particularly egregious. One of the hotel front desk staff was dressed pretty unprofessionally, not a huge deal but not what you expect from hotel staff. The most disturbing part was when I was ready to go to bed, I went to lock the door from the inside and noticed that the top deadbolt latch was completely broken off. Not a huge deal by itself because there are two locking mechanisms. Except the bottom deadbolt was misaligned with the doorframe didnt engage with the opening in the frame, so that was completely useless also. Security completely lacking doesnt give you a great feeling going to sleep. At this point I was ready to switch hotels all together but it was late at night and I was too tired so I just moved the fridge in front of the door as a last resort. I know its just a 2 star hotel but please dont stay at this hotel, there are several much better options for the same price located nearby.

We have stayed at this location several times in the past. We were surprised at the changes that have occurred in the general upkeep and cleanliness of this hotel. There were several things not working during our visit. The floors were always dirty. I know people entering and leaving the pool will dirty up the tile floors in that area, but the floors were dirty throughout. The trashcan at the front entrance was overflowing with trash the entire visit. The bathroom in our room was in poor repair. The shower / tub was bad. The tub would not drain fast enough for the water from the shower. The keycard reader for our door took at least 3 tries every time. The door required putting a shoulder to it to open because it sticks badly. Our room was missing a blow dryer. On the positive side, the bed was comfy and the free breakfast was good. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

The sofa bed had steins. We had 3 adults and towels for 2 adults. When we requested additional towels we were told they didnt have any. avoid this location. employee or employees there stole my cc number and went on a shopping spree. Response to R. Gonzales GM: Mr. Gonzales, I stayed at your hotel on Jan 4th using a personal CC for incidentals. 8 days later, Chase Bank called me due to unusual activities on my account. I was charged in excess of $500 from Panera bread, McDonalds, Itune, and lyft. All the charges happened in Austin. I dont live in austin, and the ONLY time i used that card was upon checkin at your hotel. Instead of saying that my review is without merit, maybe you should review your employees and conduct more background check. In addition, you called me ONCE, not Several time. I was away and didnt answer. Again, instead of being combative against an guest, why dont you do more checking of your employees.

It was an amazing stay we got great customer service they were very helpful with everything I needed, it was very clean. The managers and every other employee were very nice I didn t have a single issue while staying here. The free breakfast was also pretty good and there s A LOT to do within a 30 minute or less drive. Very poorly maintained .. pool was green and cloudy when I looked at the reviews it was like that 2 weeks ago. You d think that they would fix this by the Memorial Day weekend but obviously not. The ice machine was flooding the floor by the elevator and they were trying to mop up a river instead of getting towels to dry it or call someone to fix it . Windows were all cloudy like they need to be replaced not just cleaned. When we asked about the pool the front desk said that there was a party with 25 people in last night but that was a lie but even so they should have closed it or called a professional to fix it .. it s not safe to let people swim in a pool like that .. just a very poorly maintained hotel will never stay there again and from now on I ll read all the reviews before booking with any IHG hotel. The room was okay but the light by the sink didn t work and they tried to put another light on top of it but it didn t work either .. like I said just a terribly maintained hotel and you should spend your money elsewhere

We loved staying at this hotel!! Trey, Brenon and Traci are amazing! They helped us with everything we needed and were always super kind and knowledgeable. Stayed there with my daughters cheer team and thought it exceeded my expectations. The gentleman that was working when we checked in was very nice and more than accomodating. Genuinely nice to all the patrons and even to all the kids, considering when we were there it was sold out. Totally made the experience top notch!! Smoke alarm went off in my room at 1 am. firemen came and said alarm had to be more than 20 years old and left, Alarm continued to go off and on all night, didnt get any sleep. When I spoke to General Manager next day she was rude, did not care that I had to deal with the alarm, would not comp me an extra night or do anything to make it right. She was very rude and condescending. After I had already spent 4 nights there. Will never return to any holiday inn and will make sure friends and family never give them business!!!! Awful!!! Had to be moved to 2 different rooms because our room would not lock behind us. The door could be opened by a small sized human easily by pressing on it. Staff was incredibly nice and you could tell they were trying their absolute hardest to make it a good hotel. The rooms smelled musty. The parking lot had multiple piles of glass where it looked like peoples cars were broken into. I booked with the Renaissance hotel and left to go stay there, which seemed to be only a $40 difference. Locking your room when you leave is kind of a big deal. The giant half inch long brown toe/finger nail in the middle of my room was just not the center piece I was hoping for.

BED BUGS!!! We found a bunch of bed bugs in our room and we were bit by them. Management did not charge us for the room and moved us over to another room at 1:30 am. In the morning they advised they would call an exterminator but refused to do anything to assist us in preventing the spread of their infestation to our home other than bagging our belongings in garbage bags. They wouldn t even let us use the washer and dryer without paying for it! This hotel ruined the last part of our vacation and now I have to try to clean all of our belongings and hope I don t need an exterminator for my home and vehicle. If I could give zero stars I would.

Staff here are helpful and cordial. Rooms and washroom were clean. AC, black out curtains work well, TV with lot of channels. Check in and out was quick. Front desk available all the time. Good breakfast. Can order food from outside and they will leave it outside room contactless.

I ll start by saying the staff has been very helpful and courteous. I stayed for two weeks and room was clean and in good condition, but that s where it ends. Hallways and elevator floors were filthy. Even though it s a smoke free hotel, the smell of marijuana was overwhelming and most days I could smell it in my room and hallway. Faucet leaked and air conditioner fan squeaked. Breakfast was basic and decent, but most days it was hit and miss on available items. Juice machine and pancake machine was out of order. Good parking lot and close to some very good restaurants.

The location was great for our needs. Close to shopping. The room was clean and spacious, I loved the soft bed! Breakfast was decent with a good variety of hot and cold items. My only complaint would be the dirty green pool. That was the one thing my kids were looking forward to.

The bed is a back saver!!! I limped in due to my back hurting the whole previous week! Slept one night in their bed...and woke up refreshed. No achy joints or anything!!! I could move freely without my can. Totally made my trip! A nice breakfast was provided. Had to heat it yourself, but Im okay with that. Cereal, milk, pastries, juices, fruit, coffee, and yogurt were available also. Service was great and knowledgeable about the area and venues. Definitely a location I wouldnt mind visiting again.

Unfortunately, due to the poor customer service, I can only rate this hotel 1 star. I recommend calling, prior to booking, to get the correct information on the allowed occupancy of each room. The official Hilton and the staff are not on the same page. I will not be staying here again. If you are looking for a nearby hotel in the same price range, I recommend looking into the Staybridge down the street.

This was my first experience with this brand and, I must say, that is a blessing and a curse. This stay made me realize that the ads about being smart because you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express are accurate. This location sets the bar quite high. Very clean, spacious and a comfortable suite, made me not want to leave. Free parking set it off as perfect. Other locations in this brand did not live up to the same expectations but when I pass through Austin again, I will undoubtedly stay here. Do recommend. A plus, indeed!

My parents came to stay the weekend for Mothers Day, but unfortunately, their stay was subpar. Upon arrival, they were given a room that smelled like mildew and needed maintenance. When they requested a light bulb for a missing light, the response was, For real?. Additionally, the hotel has requirements that they do not seem to share openly. If you want your room cleaned, you have to request 24 hours in advance. They only give you two towels and question why you need more. If you need pool towels, you better ask the front desk for specific pool towels. The manager scolded another guest right in front of us for using their towels from their room. They were told they should have asked when the guest said they did not know as there were no towels in the pool area. Overall it was disappointing customer service after driving a long way to visit for a special weekend.

The experience started great the lady that helped us upon checking in was really friendly and assisted on checking in early. Unfortunately, the next morning the service was horrible. Breakfast items were gone before the closing time. When asked if they were going to replenish the lady in the office looked at us like if we were bothering and said no. We end up going back to the room with only orange juice. Upon checking out. I went to the front office to check out and the young man who was the front desk attendant was on a personal call and just knotted his head. I will definitely not go back to this property when visiting Austin

Had great time with my friends during the stay- 03/14/21. Room was very clean, spacious, and modern. Bathroom was locked when we first got there, but the front desk staff was able to unlock it as soon as we notified them. Bed was pretty comfortable and bathroom was bright and big! I have never had a stay like this in an IHG property before. We booked a king room and upon check in at 530pm the door lock wouldnt open and were told that maintenance couldnt fix it until the next morning. We agreed to be put in a room with two double bedsuntil the next morning and it wreaked of cigarettes. We then were moved to a room next to the elevator. Keep in mind that were supposed to be moved to our original king room in the morning. Guess what? Instead of doing the right thing they fixed the lock and sold the room to someone else so we ended up stuck in separate beds for the weekend. Oh, and dont try to sleep in past 8 because the housekeeping staff begin yelling down the hallway to each other promptly at 8:01. Did I mention the ants in the bathroom and coffee area? Or the filthy floors in the common areas? Wow...just wow. Never again.

Well, by now you know about or heard about the Alaskan winter storm that blew thru Austin about a week ago. The effects were worse than you can imagine what with both Power & H2O unavailable. What made it xtra tough was the fact that on the day the storm was arriving my friend and I were moving back into our apt after almost 3 and a half months living in a temp apt while a full-on-attack was being waged against MOLD in the walls...well thats another story, but back to the storm of the century... we decided to look for a nearby place to wait-out the weather. Fortunately for us, the place, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Austin-(Nw) had a room available. We wound up staying here for 3 nites. They had power, H2O, and a Staff that was really accommodating. In fact by name: Jay/evening & James/a.m. were under a lot of pressure with constant phone inquiries and people driving up looking for rooms and yet these 2 young men were gracious and seemed to handle the demand with kindness & professionalism. Additionally, while some Hotels were Price Gouging this Holiday Inn kept to their advertised rates and that is a commendable decision. You know, theres a Law against Price Gouging here in Texas but its apparently allowed or ignored in some instances. So, I commend the Staff & Policies of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Austin-(Nw) Hwy 620 & 183, and I highly recommend you stay here when in Town: Support the Biz and the people who represent the best in this Community.

2 nights turned into 1 night stay. Had to check early because bad weather was coming and wanted to beat the weather. Glad we did because there was a terrible accident on 35 in fort worth the day we were supposed to leave. We had 2 bedroom king suite. Room was very up to date, spacious and clean. I really liked that the windows didnt let much light in and the rims were very dark. The place wasnt busy but the noise levels were acceptable. Overall was a nice short stay.

Not bad at all. I stayed to keep myself SAFE from the freak snow that hit Texas laying down a few inches of snow The weather knocked power off three times in the prime time. Room wise. CLEAN. I had King Suite. Nearly everything you could ask for in a hotel room with the stereotypical small shampoo; conditioner; body lotion and bars of soap. I got first floor and perfect view of my ride. Staff was pleasant with social distancing. An additional $25 was taken upon check in.

This weekend was my first regretful experience with Holiday Inn. My family and I drove in from Houston to close out the summer on Lake Travis. Our family booked around 10 rooms at this hotel. I called on September 22 to verify my reservation and to confirm the pool would be open. One of their male employees answered my question and verified the pool would be opened on 9/26. We show up with our group of family and friends and the front desk rep Tristan said the pool was closed for maintenance. He then tried to call his manager Melissa who stated there was nothing they could do because they chose Saturday to use chemicals and clean the pool. No one there could help us. No one could give us a good explanation of how or why they chose Saturday to let down a group of 35 of us and our children. I understand Tristan wasn t to blame but he did state that because we had booked with Expedia there was no way to help us out. If they knew there was scheduled maintenance on Saturday 9/26 they should let us know. They should ve been ready for out of town patrons for the weekend. Thanks alot! Go elsewhere choose another hotel if u go with your kids or a large group of people!

I just recently stayed at this location. I was blessed enough to get a Job at HEB around the corner. I had just enough money to stay off the street. I decided to stay here. For 5 days I was the only one there. I was quiet had no guest and no issuses. My last night I was outside the door smoking. A raccoon came towards the building. I ran inside and immediately put my cigarette out in the sink. Because of that I was charged $250. Which put my account into the negative. Now I dont have enough money to afford a place to stay. THIS IS WRONG. I DID NOTHING WRONG. THE MANAGER ON DUTY TOLD ME HE DIDNT CARE ABOUT THE RACOON THEY FOUND 1 CIG BUTT IN THE SINK. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE HOMELESS BECAUSE OF THIS. someone should help me. Here are the photos of that night.
