Great location, horrible rooms and parking area. The lobby is deceptively lovely and the breakfast area was spotless with great food offerings. Sadly thats all this Hilton property has going for it. The parking area and sidewalk to the hotel entrance are covered in bird poop--there are literal mountains of it. Suitcase wheels and shoes are absolutely tracking bird feces inside the hotel, so if youre concerned about birdborne illness like listeria or meningitis you should book elsewhere. The rooms are in various states of disrepair; lots of dust mixed with hints of mildew and hair from previous guests. Broken ice machines, broken elevators in the garage...I discussed every detail of what Ive shared above with hotel guest services and with Hilton corporate. I received a verbal apology from staff and havent heard back from corporate (case #218931560). I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone and will probably avoid staying at Hilton hotels altogether. Nearby activities: South Congress shops and restaurants are within walking range.

Worst hotel stay yet. The rooms are so dated and had an extreme wet carpet odor that was so unbearable we moved rooms only to get a new room that smelled exactly the same. There were no standard bed pillows, only a few square pillows that made sleeping very awkward. The AC intake vent was dirty and thick of dust. The parking garage is full of graffiti and not kept up. The only thing this hotel has going for it is its location, that than that I truly believe you get a more premium stay at a reputable 1 star motel than here.

I suggest staying elsewhere. This team is fairly incompetent and it seems like no one knows whats going on half the time. Plus, its gross. 1) Checking in, we were given a room that wasnt fully accessible (key only worked for 1 room, other was not cleaned). Had to wait for another floor to open up. 2) 3 other patrons throughout that first day were also having issues with their booking. 3) Rooms are pretty gross. Very humid and moist, with a moisture smell. Rotten/moldy doors. Unkempt furniture. Leaking faucets. Bugs. AC didnt get cool. The whole 9. This place is so old and hasnt been upkept. 4) Overheard many other patrons having booking issues as we walked past the lobby. 5) Day 2, our doors/keys stopped working, locking my suite mate out of his room in the middle of the night. Engineer couldnt fix it and gave up, said hed bring a stopper and didnt. Next day, my key locked me out as I was in the middle of changing clothes for an event - so I couldnt access my room - had to get new keys made and my suitemade had to sync up to swap out. Was late to my event, and there was a stopper inside the room so they came in and presumably were fiddling with shit to make my key not work anymore. 5) I had upgraded my room and purchased late checkout a week before - they still charged me a $35 late checkout fee. Lol, at a point of where they should be refunding me for their terrible hotel, they instead charged me extra. People barged into the room 3-4 separate times, unannounced, and never said a word. No calls. No texts. They obviously had my number because they texted me about the late fee. So this person(s) were walking into our room as we were getting dressed and packing and walking out without acknowledging the situation. Total violation of privacy. Cost me like $1,200 for 3 days and was a terrible choice. I was very polite and understanding at the start, but by day 4 I was over it, and them sending me a text (after barging in the room unannounced MULTIPLE TIMES and uninvited without calling, texting, or addressing us in the room) saying theyre charing a late checkout sent me over the edge. Stay far away. And to management, you need to host some internal meetings and get your shit together. In my eyes, you owe me a refund but Id argue your team is too incapable and ignorant to even know how to start that process. In addition to this review, Ill be calling to leave a complaint. Im far from a Karen but you guys need to be closed.

Do not like to leave negative reviews but seeing this place has 4 stars I feel like I need to add my 2 cents and another 1 star review. I would not recommend staying here. Bad check in experience. Rooms not ready at 4:00 PM, were told they were short on housekeeping staff. Took our #s and said they would text us when rooms ready. We sat in lobby and watched dozens of people come in and get rooms and we finally went back to desk and they clearly had forgotten us. Room smelled terrible. Some of my colleagues had same experience. Furniture dirty, torn, stained. When I asked to move rooms because of smell the receptionist asked if it was really that bad (?) uh, yeah, it was. I stayed one more night in that room until it became unbearable and then moved next day. The musty smell might have been partly due to the crumbling walls from a leak outside my room where the ice machine was. (although it also just smelled generally unclean and bordering on urine smell) They had high-powered fans sitting on the floor outside my room trying to dry the area and blow the stink of mildew away. It wasnt working. We all had crickets in our rooms. I guess crickets are a thing this time of year in TX so not sure you can say much about that, other than, we were working nearby in the Hyatt, and I didnt see any crickets there. Cold showers every morning. When I texted them (Oh BTW - dont try to use their phones to call the front desk, they dont work, text is the only way to communicate with hotel staff) They said they sometimes have issues with the hot water in the mornings It was every morning, you know, when you need to take a shower. A freezing cold shower. Hey I guess people pay a lot of money to do cold plunges, so enjoy! Only thing I can say is the staff is mostly pretty nice, I feel bad for them as they must spend their days apologizing for al the issues this place has. The Hyatt near by is pretty nice. Maybe try over there if you want to stay in this area.

I have stayed at this hotel twice due to business trips, spending a total of nearly two months here. Unfortunately, I can only give it 2 stars, mainly due to the bedbugs and other insects that have not been dealt with for the past two years. Two years ago, during my first stay, I was bitten by bedbugs after just a few days. I was moved to another room on a different floor. This time, the same thing happened I was bitten again, and once more, I was relocated to another room. I also filled out a compensation claim form, but I was never informed when or how my complaint would be addressed. It probably ended up in the trash. The rooms are not thoroughly cleaned. Under the bed, you can find other dead bugs, fruit seeds, hair ties, and bottles. If you want to go for a morning swim, be prepared to fish out insects from the water yourself it was the same story every day. Unfortunately, after returning home, the bedbugs came with me. The breakfasts are not satisfactory, especially if youre staying for a longer period (a month or two) or traveling with a child. There are no vegetables, cheeses, or cold cuts everything is fried and heavy. Another persistent issue is the daily harassment by staff asking about Hilton Members points. You cant enjoy your breakfast in peace because these people approach you every day. The only positive aspects of this hotel are its fairly good location and the view from the window (but not in all rooms). Equipment like the iron and hairdryer works well. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel, and I will do my best to ensure that my boss does not book this hotel for any future stays for our staff.

I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Austin, Texas, and had a series of frustrating experiences. I arrived at 6 pm, and my room was not ready upon check-in, which was already disappointing. Once I finally got into the room, it was uncomfortably hot at 76 degrees. I lowered the AC, but it never got cold. Despite having maintenance come and fix the issue, the room remained warm throughout my stay. To make matters worse, I was asked to pay for an upgrade even though I am a Diamond member. This was particularly frustrating and felt unjustified. Additionally, the parking fee of $48 per night is exorbitantly high. Overall, the stay was far from satisfactory, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

*UPDATE* Even WORSE than before. Everyone at the front desk is great, including Mr. Jones and he has been doing everything in his power to accommodate me, but the amount of issues that occurred this time has pushed me beyond my breaking point. I had to change my room twice before my second day out of a six day stay. The first room smelled like a dead body, then the second the A/C didnt work at all. Out of six days, room service NEVER came, only to bring fresh towels after having to beg for them. They came in and removed my garbage can and never even replaced it. I not once had a made-up bed, and none of my dirty towels were even taken away. I asked the cleaning lady if she was going to clean my room, and she said, we dont clean those rooms, and stated this to another person in a different room as well. I give up on this hotel. I ve tried my best but can no longer give this hotel my business. PLEASE DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE! The Embassy is always my go-to hotel when im in Austin for work, but they really need to upgrade their rooms as well as the building. The front dest staff and food service staff is as always amazing. But the last time I was there they couldnt get my digital room key to work my entire stay and that cost me points, no fault of their own but this brings me back to my original point of a needed upgrade(system included), and please fix ALL the elevators(especially in the parking garage). This hotel is in a prime location in the city and will usually be my go-to, but please put some work back into it. Walkability: Prime location, across the bridge from downtown, and thats literally all!

Stayed here one night to escape the hurricane in Houston. Was a horrible stay and even worse customer service. We had two roaches in our bathroom, our WiFi didn t work even though we re Hilton Honors Members, $48 to park and then you have to self park in a parking garage whose elevator isn t working. We were told to park on levels 3 or 4 but then you had to climb down all those stairs to get back to the lobby. Booked a suite for three people so we had the sofa bed - it had no bedding at all- not an additional sheet or blanket in the room! We shared our concerns with the front desk staff and they couldn t have cared less! Just kept saying they were sorry and they d look into it. Great location and decent breakfast. Other than that, I will not stay here again. First, parkade is in a separate building, and at check-in, staff did not say how to get in or where to park. I love being able to pick your room and just go up, but once we got there, the app told me I had to see the front desk. The man at the front was not very clear and simply stated that digital keys didnt work there. Got up to our room, and it was disgusting. Extremely outdated, dirty, and broken faucet. Went straight back down and asked for a different room. The front didnt really say anything and gave us a different room. 2nd floor had a beautiful view of the roof, and the noise from the atrium was intrusive. The room was somewhat clean, but the furniture had stains, 3 towels (fam of 5), and no bedding for pull-out. NO fan in the bathroomand it was super dark! Cocktail hour consisted of 1 small drink and people hoarding trail mix and crackers in water cups. Breakfast, I will say, was good. Omelet station, good fruit. Atrium is nice, open, and great decor. The staff for food service were wonderful. We paid for late check out, and when we came up from breakfast at 1030am, we were locked out of our room. Hubby had to go back down to fix keys and was told they didnt have late check out. Packed up and left. On our way out they man at the front asked why we were leaving early when we had late check!! The hotel rooms need a complete Reno and having to constantly go and ask for things was a bit of a pain.

I stayed at this hotel June 2024. It is close to the Conrgress Bridge where the bats are. The got the bat package because it offered free parking, evening drinks, and late checkout. The rooms are very expensive and this added to the price. When we checked in no one said that the elevator was NOT working in the un-attached garage and that maybe we should unload our bags before parking the car, which had to be on floors 3,4, or 5 for this hotel. of course the 3rd floor was full. When they advertise the free evening drinks it doesnt say until 5:30pm. We returned from a day out at 5:33 and they wouldnt let us have the drinks. It was incredibly petty. When I mentioned via text to them Jonathan said sorry and that he would give me 10,000 points to make up for it. Of course, I never received the points. Frankly, we would have rather had the drinks, but actually received nothing. I also, called to ask for a copy of my hotel bill, and the person who answered the phone seemed really put out by it. I know it was a lot to ask. However, the saving grace of this hotel is the excellent breakfast, but only until 9am...that was included.

The hotel stay was fine. What I find unacceptable is the parking garage. I can t believe Hilton allows it. I realize that the parking garage may be maintained by another company, but the current state that it s in should be addressed. The third floor elevator call button remains unusable, and the graffiti in the stairwells leaves a sketchy vibe to the whole garage. I really think the property owners should reevaluate the garage and invest in upgrades. The $49 parking fee is appalling, especially for it not being connected to the hotel in any way, and there s no valet! I ve paid less to park at Chicago hotels! That parking garage isn t even worth a $15 charge! Austin is up and coming, and is a wonderful city, and the parking garage would give newcomers a bad first impression on how the city does things.

The location is good and within walking distance of many bars, restaurants, and across the street from the Congress Ave Bridge if youre interested in seeing the bat colony. However, the rooms are in severe need of refurbishment. They are extremely old and dated and look worn. Service was decent, but knocking back stars as they use the 3rd - 5th floors of the adjacent parking garage and had no urgency in fixing the broken garage elevators or offering valet to accommodate the struggle of hauling luggage or traveling up and down the mandatory 3 to 5 flights of stairs every day. Not worth the location until remodeled. Rooms: The rooms are very old and dated. Nearby activities: Famous and large bar colony across the street. 100% do not recommend this sad, gross, Embassy hotel here in Austin. We chose the location because it s near the Palmer Event Center where we are attending a conference and we ve stayed at some Embassy Suites that are newer and thought we d give it a shot. But, what a SAD PLACE. Parking is $48/night which is outrageous even for Austin. You can stay at nicer hotels in bigger cities for less Miami was less. Their $48 parking garage comes with fresh human feces in the stairwell. Parking garage 3rd floor button is broken so it can t be called and you re forced to use the stairwell although who knows what disgusting lurks in that elevator. With the elevator buttons in the hotel, 2 out of 3 don t light up and the ding is hit or miss on working. There are zero plastic or glass cups in the room with literally no responses from the front desk. The wet bar sink doesn t turn on. They renovated the front desk area and that clearly IS IT. Stay elsewhere. We walked to dinner and found quite a few better options in the blocks nearby. Lesson learned we ll get recommendations next time we come up here and we ll be sure to warn those we know not to choose this place ever.

What a disappointment. Having stayed at close to 5 dozen different embassy suites, I can honestly say this was the wost experience at an Embassy Suites. As a 100% disabled vet, we were told we had to park on floors 3-5 of the garage in the handicap zone and there were elevators for us to take. No problem, until both elevators at the handicap area were out of service with no other way down. After having my 10 year old daughter carry luggage down stairs since I cant physically, I talked to the front desk that then changed their story saying oh, well you can park on the ground level, just park on the wall facing the hotel. Upon entering the rooms, the bathroom sink was clogged and would not a drain so we had to use the minibar sink to wash hands, brush teeth, etc. Needless to say, this particular embassy suites gives the brand a very poor experience. Embassy Suites: A Nostalgic Gem with Modern Comforts I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites for a business trip and was blown away by its unique charm and modern amenities. The hotels architecture is a throwback to a bygone era, with its exposed elevator system and striking geometric patterns in the courtyard. Its truly an impressive feat of engineering and design that creates an unforgettable first impression. My suite was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable bed and a relaxing bathroom featuring a great shower. The overall vibe was perfect for unwinding after a long day of meetings. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. They were always available to answer questions and provide recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. For our business needs, the conference room was top-notch. The space was well-equipped, and the snacks, drinks, fresh juice, and coffee options kept us fueled throughout our meeting. The hotels location is also a major plus. Its within walking distance of many popular attractions, making it easy to explore the area during downtime. Overall, my stay at the Embassy Suites was exceptional. I highly recommend it for both business and leisure travelers seeking a unique and comfortable hotel experience! Rooms: Could use a bit of appliance upgrades. Nearby activities: Across the street from the Yeti store, and other attractions. Safety: Badge access to everything except front door. Felt very safe during my stay. Another review described it as gloomy, which is accurate for the rooms. This is mostly due to the awful cheap fluorescent/led lighting in the rooms and hallways. The cheap outdated beat up furniture also adds to it. Also, the seals on the room doors are horrible so you get lots of humidity from outside in the room. The rooms are large and the AC worked well albeit noisily. My room smelled faintly of smoke and mold. That said, the beds were comfortable and they turned down the linens and cleaned well. The location and buffet are decent, and the atrium is nice and sunny with a nice waterfall fountain. The staff were helpful and friendly, theres an omelette station. However the drinks and appetizers at the bar were terrible. They give you free drink vouchers to help you forget the bad aspects. The margaritas from a pitcher were gross. Would prefer not to stay here again, but it will do in a pinch. If they fixed the lighting, humidity, and updated the rooms they could get 4 stars from me. Rooms: Poorly lit and depressing and somewhat dingy and humid, but mostly clean. Food and drinks: Breakfast buffet was decent with sausage and eggs. Bar was terrible but nice ambience.

The rooms need an upgrade. We stayed in a suite, and it needed paint, and sconce lighting was literally falling off the wall. We were only staying one night, otherwise we would have asked for a new room. Location is good, walkable to restaurants. It was quiet at night. Just seemed a bit run down for what we paid for the night.

I just checked and, yes, the cockroach is still twitching in the bathroom garbage can. If it were just a matter of a single cockroach, I wouldnt write a review. Raise your hand if youve never had a cockroach in your own home. It happens. But walking into the bathroom and seeing a monster cockroach ambling about was the last straw in a hotel experience so bad its almost comical. Let me walk you through the timeline: Night 1: Flight delayed, I arrive at midnight. The desk guy tells me the water is off from 12-6. Sorry. We have free bottled water. Okay, fair enough. Its not the hotels fault, right? As I grab my room key he says, oh, to get to the 9th floor you have to take the third elevator, because the other first two elevators dont go up to the 9th floor. Okay Im thinking, its one of those situations where they have certain elevators that go to certain floors. When I get to the elevators Im expecting a separate button for the third elevator to go to the 9th floor. But in fact, theres only one button for all 3 elevators. I push it, and the 2nd elevator door opens. No way to open the third elevator. Hmm. Maybe I misunderstood. I go back to the front desk. Hes apologetic and explains that, if the wrong elevator opens, you just send it up to a different floor without getting on, then you push the button again so you can get the third elevator to the 9th floor. Ah, of course, brilliant workaround. So I go back and press the button. Second elevator door opens. I send it up to 8. Then I press the button again. Dang, bad luck -- first elevator door opens. No worries, I send it up to 8 too. I press the button again. Second elevator again! It had made its round trip just in time to get back to ground level. I send it up to 8 again and try to move fast back to the elevator button. Finally, I get elevator #3 and make my way to the 9th floor. I get into the room and look around for this free bottled water I was expecting. Nothing. Not even the usual complimentary bottle of water. Okay, I probably misunderstood and was supposed to pick some up downstairs? Well at least I can call the front desk and have them bring some up so I dont have to navigate the elevators again. I pick up the phone -- no dial tone. Hmm. I trace the cord and find its not plugged in. I dig around and find the plug. Call the front desk. No answer, on hold several minutes. Losing hope. So I grab my cell phone and call the main number. There too I wait on hold and lose hope. Finally I just decide to go back downstairs and get some bottled water so I can brush my teeth. Day 2 morning: I wake up greatly looking forward to my shower. Not excited about the shower design -- the floor from shower into bathroom floor is flat, which is probably going to let water onto the bathroom floor, and theres only a curtain rather than a door -- still, I get in, grab the showerhead, and am pleasantly surprised to find good water pressure and temperature. The holder for the showerhead is kind of low, so Im not going to be able to stand under it, but thats okay. I put the showerhead into the holder so I can soap up. Whoa! Holder is so loose and water pressure is so good that the thing flops all over the place. Thats not going to work. I turn it off to soap up. I pump the shampoo. Hmm, nothing coming out. I pump again. Nothing. I pump furiously. Not even a drop. Whatever. I washed my hair yesterday anyway. I use regular soap for the rest of the job and get out of the shower. [I exceeded word limit, so click on the screenshot in photos if you must have the rest of the story. TL;DR = the staff were nice, which gets them the 2 stars]

From dirty walls and floors to lifting wallpaper, crack in sink and gross gunk in the corners. No shuttle to help get to close attractions or restaurants. Nearby restaurants are not very good either. Capital of Music NOT! BATS! Well youll think youre as blind as a bat, cause it not impressive. This hotel sits at the end of the bridge with the bats. Not an outdoor bench in site for customers to sit, not everyone can walk well or for long. The room view was horrible, why would anyone want to look at a dirty roof. This was very disappointing.

My family is having a Texas staycation at the Hilton downtown Austin . Based off of the pictures online we decided to book here . I called in made a reservation for a suite with two rooms and two king beds . When we arrived the elevators to get to our room didn t work . After trying all three elevators for 15 minutes and 4 kids we went back down and the staff informed us they forgot to mention about one elevator not working and the others you have to use a key to get up to our floor. Finally we get to our room and it s not what I booked , it s one king room and a pull out bed , the closet door was broken, the soap dispensers were pulled from the wall and the room wasn t clean. We went downstairs to change rooms and finally got us into what I originally booked but I needed to pay more . After an hour later I didn t care I just wanted to relax . We get to the next room 7 floors down with all of our luggage and it s what I originally booked but it is pretty run down . Holes in the doors, leak in the ceiling , stains and rips on the couch, the furniture is pretty beat up , wall paper is falling off a wall from a leak . I had to double check the name of the hotel I was at because I was wondering if I booked a super 8 motel. Horrible experience, gross rooms for a 500 dollar 1 night stay.

I had high hopes for this hotel, especially since I ve stayed other embassy suites that were very nice. However, when you first sit into this hotel, it s very gloomy. The staff didn t look very happy or welcoming. Our room was dusty, stains everywhere on the bed, sofa, floor, and walls; and the wet bar sink did not work. The lady at the front desk said it was because there was a major pipe project going on so they had to shut off the water. There was no coffee in the room. No extra towels or extra bedsheets for sofa sleeper. We had to ask for them. The complimentary breakfast was good and the staff in the kitchen was very nice. We stayed at this hotel so we could be close to UT. So the location did turn out to be very good. What was not good was the price for parking it was $48 and I was told that there was a security guard but we never saw a security throughout our whole trip , there is no valet and there s nobody to help you with your luggage. Parking nearby is not good. For over $200 a night, i would not stay here again.

Secondly, at 3:30 am the over night guy at the front desk gave someone a key card & access to my room who was not on the guest list nor did he ask for ID. Then he lied about it. Checked in today around 4:30p with a colleague. The male colleague s room was ready. Mine was not. The lady s attitude was very matter of fact rather than apologetic. Said, your room could be ready in ten minutes but I can t promise anything . I joined my male boss/colleague in his room. Ten minutes later I used his hotel phone to call the front desk. A nice gentleman named Tucker said my room showed ready. I headed back down, and went to the lady who checked me in. I got my key and went upstairs only to kind that my room was not a king suite. It was a full size bed in the very corner of the hotel where the entry door to the room was VERY close to a room next door (weird setup). As a female, I didn t feel safe. I used the phone to call the front desk. Again Tucker was very helpful and said to return to the front desk to get a different room. However, upon returning to the front desk, that same lady said that she could not change rooms because they were Sold out that I would have to take the room I was given. Tucker said we will take care of her. And she gave me the king suite that I reserved. My first thought was if you knew you weren t giving me what I reserved. Why didn t you tell me that in the first place. I think this young lady needs some training on customer service. Not a good sign for the beginning of my stay

The service was good. When things were not what they should be the employees were apologetic: pool was supposed to be heated ( the reason we came here) waiting for a part. Tell this to a six year old when this was her surprise! Finally got a minute when someone was watching the six year old to eat downstairs and we could eat our delivery in a comfortable place. Sorry, this is our restaurant area. It was not busy. The area we got was by the front door ( it was 26 degrees outside) so every time the door opened we froze. Love the free two drinks with our room and the snacks provided. But if u want to do anything outside ur room forget it. You re asked to leave with ur food or bottle of wine you may have brought to share that you bought in France you had been saving for months. The employee said that if the manager walked through they would not be happy. Then provide me an area that is nice to hang out. That is comfortable and worthy of embassy suites. I can go to an inexpensive hotel and have that. Not a nice hotel brand that I have been going to for more than a decade.

We have stayed at many Embassys over the years and always felt it was a treat. Because of past stays we chose Embassy for our first time traveling at Christmas, really looking forward to a good breakfast and the evening reception. After upgrading to a bigger suite we found multiple roaches, the dust was massive in the bathroom. Breakfast was really poor quality,as was the furniture in our Upgraded suite. When we took a dead roach down to make them aware they only offered to switch rooms. Even the evening reception was disappointing. In past stays this reception offered a time to relax and have great quality snacks and drinks. This reception was stale crackers and some warm cheese cubes. To top off the experience, they hotel charged us parking even thought our room already included parking. Rooms: Very poor quality and dusty Nearby activities: Great location, near downtown with access to much to do Walkability: We easily walked to restaurants and enjoyed the downtown vibe.

Colorado River within walking distance. 6th Street is 7 streets or so to the north. Food and drinks: walking distance. Colorado River within walking distance. 6th Street is 7 streets or so to the north. Noteworthy details: I would love to have given higher scores as a Hilton Rewards Member but, let me explain the reasoning behind my numbers. The location is pretty good. As I said before there are several restaurants and activities to do very easily within walking distance. Weve learned quickly that the staff does not know where anything is and sent us on a wild goose chase looking for Howard bank which was three blocks to the south. We asked them about the location of something else that was also within walking distance and they said they didnt know. So, my advice is to use Google and dont bother asking. As for the rooms.. The room we stayed in was typical of a La Quinta. Nothing worth the extra money that Hilton Branded Hotels are known for but, equally as good as the Clarion Hotel I normally stay at in Pflugerville thats located near Atomic Tattoo my best friend since 6th grade works at (in case you want to know how loyal I am) but, we had tickets to a concert on the UT campus. In my opinion, this Embassy Suites was not on par with the many other Hilton Branded Hotels Ive stayed in for business and vacations. The staff...uh..let me tell you our experiences (beyond not knowing the neighborhood the hotel is located in). When we checked in I forgot that we needed an incidentals deposit. My wife and I have some rental properties and they always seem to all pay in cash each month. We only took 1 of our ATM cards because, we planned on depositing the cash but, forgot in our excitement to get away (Why we needed our bank). Upon returning from the bank, we paid the deposit and the young man behind the computer handed my wife a parking pass. My wife read it costs $45/day to park and asked the clerk about it. He replied, Dont worry about that. We will not charge you for it. We stayed 2 nights and I would not have been willing to pay the extra $90 to park especially, after I saw the mediocre room. We come back home and, after a week, our deposit had still not been returned. So, I call them and get a young lady on the phone that tells me my deposit was used to cover parking. I said, No, thats not what we were told and I went on to explain this situation and described the young man in great detail. She told me, Youre mistaken because, that is not our policy that is on the parking pass. After a lengthy back and forth, I asked,*May I speak with your manager because, you do not seem able to make the correct decision. I got a guy that said he was the front desk manager. However, he was 1 of the most disrespectful people I have ever spoke to and I owned a repo company for years. He said the deposit was used for parking. I asked him how much is your incidental deposit? He replied $100. If my deposit was truly for parking, why wasnt I asked for $200? He said the parking fee is handled through the booking fees and, that it is explicitly explained on there so, I pulled up my confirmation email and read it line by line to him. Guess what! There was not 1 word about it. He continued down his direction of disrespect basically telling me that Im lying and there was no way for me to prove that the respectful young man said that to me. I offered to drive back down from the Ft. Worth area and when he admitted he said it I would expect him to refund my fuel, too. He said,Thats never going to happen and I know I shouldnt have said this but, my response was,Im going to do my best to have you fired over your total lack of respect. Im self employed with a lot of time on my hands and Ill share this on all my social media. I know, I know. He responded with,As a rewards member Ill tell my boss about you and your comments. Then, par for his course, he hung up on me. I called back and got someone sounding like the first young lady who put me on hold for a while, only to come back on and say her manager was busy. I told her that he should have plenty of time since, he just hung up on me. She said,Okay,Ill tell him, and she to hung up. Those are my opinions on the rooms and you might feel differently. The rest all facts.

Not really sure how this place has a 4.1 star rating. To start PARKING, who the hell has the audacity to charge $42 for parking, had this been a bit easier to find on the app I would have just used a car service to and from the hotel, that being said this isnt the hotels fault but some people really need to go back to driving school because I have never seen few people not be able to park between the lines. Back to the hotel, you are only allowed to park on the 3rd and 4th, northwest elevator wasnt working, just a heads up. The staff was polite, and tried to be helpful, but the hotel seems to be in a major state of disrepair. I was staying on the 9th floor, guess a couple of the elevators were not able to go to that floor. A staff member had to send those two elevators to the 8th floor so the single elevator that would go to the 9th floor would come down. Failed to tell us that we needed to use our key card to in fact get to the 9th floor. The room is less than impressive, very much a state of run down. I recommend finding just about any other location to stay for an evening.

I booked at this Embassy Suites because it had a high customer rating, it was in close proximity to the Austin Convention Center and other venues I would be visiting for my stay for Afrotech 2023. From the moment I walked into the front doors, it felt welcoming, as John D. was there to greet me with smiles and welcoming, fun comments! When I checked in, I knew my stay would be great as I was in Room 711. This was THE best hotel stay I have ever experienced! The Front Desk staff - Truvelle, Audrey, Shante, and Natalie, executed hospitality and customer service at its finest! Every question, request, inquiry, and asking of directions from me, was met with priority responses and actions! The room was spacious and very comfortable for my 5-night stay. The bed was as comfortable as it looked online - even a tad more comfortable! The shower! The shower! It was a delight each day, twice a day! The Housekeeping staff were very thorough and cleaned my room daily as requested. The Engineering staff were quick - completed the task with speed and efficiency for my room safe. SoCo Bar/Lounge had AMAZING food and cocktails yet the best to experience there is their bartenders and waitstaff. The decor - BEAUTIFUL! Again, THE WAITSTAFF WERE EXCEPTIONAL! I stopped the Hotel Manager in his tracks to share my thoughts on his hotel and its staff. I knew I d write a review yet try as much as possible to provide in-person feedback on my experiences. He smiled and thanked me! Beautiful hotel, great amenities and location, yet the most beautiful thing about this place, is their staff!

Great location. Made to order omelets so good. Very friendly staff. A lot of deferred maintenance is noticeable in my room especially in bathroom. I requested they fix or replace the desk lamp which was so dim and its outlet didn t work. Never got done. Extra sheets and blanket requested twice and took them an hour and 15 minutes. Someone needs to love this place to make it show. Details matter. Pool is a joke, though. No hot tub. Bathtub constantly draining and the tub is shallow. No room for headrest. Look elsewhere if these are important to you. Rooftop pool and hot tub with the view of downtown Austin would be an incredible addition to this hotel along with fixing up the fixtures, handlebars and cleaning the grouts in bathroom tiles. WiFi is hard to connect to and stay connected for my iPhone 15 Pro Max. It works fine with my MacBook Pro, tho. Could handle Zoom meeting just fine. Complimentary drinks and snacks during 5-630 pm is a nice touch.

I had a fabulous stay here. Not only is the bed incredibly comfortable, but you get unlimited crispy bacon every morning and an incredibly helpful staff to assist you with anything and everything. Zachary was especially awesome! I will definitely be back and stay here instead of the jw Marriott down the street. I was torn between the two but this one is the winner every time. Update: I stayed here again this month (October 2023) and the staff was great. However the hotel is getting older and although it is clean, it s in need of a renovation or rehab. If they don t do that it s about to go downhill. It s right at that point. Hopefully they invest back into it because it had the potential to be good again. The staff is fantastic but the furniture and structure is showing it s age.

This place has a lot of potential, Its a really nice building with well designed rooms and comfortable beds. So why two stars? My room was infested with crickets. And when you try to smush them, theyd fly and attack. While crickets are harmless, I should not have to put up with bugs in my hotel room. They were getting in the room somewhere because after I killed six of them, six more appeared. I should have changed rooms, but I was already unpacked and showered. I also didnt appreciate cleaning up other peoples hair in the bathroom. My room should have been cleaned before I moved in. It was mostly, except for strangers hair all over my bathroom. The staff were really nice throughout my stay.

My husband and I stayed here on a Saturday night while we were in town attending Batfest on Congress Street Bridge. We were greeted with fresh cookies and bottled water at check-in, which was quick and easy. The hotel offered discounted parking in the detached garage, which was convenient. We had a suite that was updated and very roomy. Our suite had a separate living area with a wet bar, microwave, refrigerator, pull-out sofa bed, desk and tv. The bedroom had a king-size bed, tv, and a dresser with a view of downtown. The bathroom had a full-size shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There was also individual bar soap and linens. The main area of the hotel was clean and seemed to have just been recently updated. There is an indoor pool, but it has a separate door and was locked when we got back and had a chance to check it out after hours. They also have a fairly good sized snack/convivence area in the lobby by check-in for late night snacks. Due to Batfest, the bar had created a couple of drinks specifically for the occasion. We were given 6 complementary drink tickets for our stay. They were good for a specific time which if I remember correctly, it was 5-6:30 pm. It was for a limited menu of drinks which you can find at the bar on the main floor. We requested a late checkout for Sunday and were accommodated. Check-out was quick and easy. Would I return? Absolutley!

Great location. Lovely view. Large, comfortable suite. Evening reception with free drink tickets and free snacks for guests. Excellent hot breakfast with fresh fruit and made to order omelets. Parking was $40+tax!!!! And at least one of the parking garage elevators were out of order with parking only allowed on 3rd and 4th floors. And these are not cost friendly rooms to start with. Room was not 100% clean but clean enough. No trash bags in room trash cans (I guess eco friendly but felt bad about throwing items in and left all used drink cans on table so not to leak into trash cans).

The location is great and the building inside it nice. But the service and accommodation was POOR! We have stayed at Embassy suites at different cities and at another location in Austin but never had a bad experience where I felt that I needed to write a review. We had three suites and all three suites had the same problem. They all had phones that was not working so we were using our phone to make calls to the front desk. A/C was set at 70, and it was freezing, we were not able to turn it up or turn it off at all. I complained about it at night and asked for a blanket and they sent one THIN BLANKET for each room. So our kids slept with Towel over them because it did get really cold at night. In the morning WATER was shut off without any warnings. My husband was in the restroom when that happened. My other family members were using the restroom in their rooms when water was turned off. So I am not sure if all these were done on purpose for those rooms ONLY. When I complained in the morning during check out, the manager told me well I cannot give you any discount or anything like that but will give you Hilton points. I was like DUDE I AM NOT HERE FOR FREE STUFF and I dont want anything for free. We did not stay there for free but because we paid it was our right to have a comfortable stay. I also felt that I needed to notify them so they can improve for future guests. I know, we are not going back to that location again for sure. I did not like the managers attitude. I never write reviews even if was a bad one, but I had to for this one.

My girlfriend and I spent the past weekend here for our anniversary and it was pretty good. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. We just had a couple of little issues that prevent us from saying it was a 5/5 experience. Like the lack of carpeting in the bathroom. Coming out of the shower we had to be very careful to not slip on the floor. The sliding door to the shower was hard to move and we felt like it would get stuck sometimes. We always had to press the handle on the toilet twice to get it to flush. And whenever we tried to go to the pool it looked really dirty and we didnt go swimming because of it. But the environment was great. Loved the complimentary breakfast. And the location was in a great walking distance to a lot of the places we wanted to see. Wed easily book another stay here.

Im giving this location 4 stars not 5 because the rooms are a bit dated. They were as clean as they could be kept. The staff and location are what make this spot. From the start, they staff was kind and accommodating. Anything we needed was met with quick and very polite or friendly service. We chose this location over the Hilton Austin because of our lengthier 5 day stay we felt like we needed the added space of the extra sitting room over an outdoor pool. That extra room served us well. The daily breakfast & evening reception were added benefits we were not expecting. We enjoyed them both several days and were impressed with the offerings. Again, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The hotel is also RIGHT by the Congress Bridge so if you miss the bats one night, its so easy to try again b/c its just steps away. We didnt need a car rental. We LYFTd or scootered everywhere we needed. It was a perfect location, especially for the cost.

Stayed here for the Blues on the Green and because it was close to the Colorado River to launch our paddle boards. I wanted to get the river side room, but the 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds are all facing the parking lot on levels 2-5. The rooms were big enough for the 5 of us and enabled me to let the kids sleep in the other room while I worked in the other. We did request more towels one night, but they never came to the room. The breakfasts are a great way to start the day and the happy hour is limited drink options with small snacks. We enjoyed our stay here and was in the middle of a great spot to get to SOCO, Zilker, and across Congress bridge to downtown. There is plenty to do from this home base, especially to watch the bats emerge in the summer from the bridge.

It s not a bad hotel overall. Staff was courteous and when I did ask for extra blankets they responded in a timely manner. Rooms are clean as they can be maybe a lil outdated but whatever. My biggest complaint is the noise level. I ended up sleeping on the couch and at 5:30 in the morning someone decided to drag tables around the lounge area. The way the hotel is layed out all the rooms are racing in one big circle and it s enclosed which is cool but the noise level is ridiculous. I ve been up all night it s currently 5:30am and they re dragging tables. I ve been unable to sleep because of the loud background music that plays 24/7. I think they need to be more respectful of people staying and turn the music down and have quiet hours. I m just a very light sleeper and listening to this music all night made me insane.

The hotel is very nice. Normally Embassy Suites is my go-to hotel, but if the beds are so stiff and old that I feel crippled for my entire vacation, it is simply not worth it. I asked them to flip the mattresses (because they didnt have any extra mattresses) and I had to ask them multiple times before they came to flip it. Unfortunately, it didnt work anyhow. The air conditioning in the room is NOT adjustable, so it was either freezing cold or a sauna. The front desk did not seem to care. They also charge for parking, which I felt should have been thrown in since we are a diamond member. I am fairly loyal to ES, but I already canceled my next reservation with them at this particular hotel for next month. Typical ES breakfast with a pretty good omelet bar. The lady that runs the omelet station is probably the best employee Ive met at any ES location!

The rooms and furniture were outdated, old and looked very dirty. The curtains were stained and some stuck together and had large holes. Since I was only there two nights I decided it would be more of a hassle to try to change hotels. The swimming pool was un-swimmable due to the water being so cold. Doesn t make sense for it to be so cold when it was over 100 degrees outside. Yes, it s indoors, but how do they warm up the pool during winter? I asked and they said there was no water heater but they d check with the engineer . The staff was friendly, no major complaints there except they didn t even make a real attempt to actually fix the pool situation. Is that really how it functions year round? Breakfast was good. Location was good. Parking was bad. Having your own garage is good, but it s not attached to the building and feels very unsafe at night. One night we were there there was a car backed up into 3 spots, all doors open. No security guard. I had never been to an Embassy Suites, but always expected more than what I actually experienced. I would not return to this location. Walkability: Walking distance to Congress bridge.

Accessibility needs work. I traveled with my mother, who is a stroke survivor and is wheelchair-bound. Trying to safely navigate into the hotel from the parking garage was very difficult. Especially because there were no carts for luggage available, nor any room to park in front of the hotel. We had no choice but to park in the garage and try to bring our bags in. The sidewalk directly outside the hotel is not very even, making it extremely difficult for my mother to try to get safely into the hotel. In addition, we found that the room we were assigned to was NOT an accessible room. Thank goodness the hotel happened to have an accessible room available. But then we get to carry all our luggage from room to room with no cart still. There were also small black bugs crawling in my bed, which I got to wake up to on our last morning there. The staff here are lovely, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was good. The happy hour was lovely. I hope that soon there can be adjustments made to help accommodate our disabled population. Special thank you to Audrey for helping us find an accessible room. Safety: Safety issues in the sidewalk being uneven in places outside the hotel. Nearly impossible to navigate with a wheelchair, not to mention a tripping hazard for everyone.
