Cedrick is the man. Very helpful and kind concierge and valet service, making you feel welcomed and prioritized from the start. Food and shops are all walking distance but a little farther than I anticipated. Prepare to Lyft or drive in the city of Austin! Walkability: 15 mins minimum to the nearest restaurant or shops. But a lovely area to walk around and sight see.

I stayed here in August. There were bugs in the hall outside my room and on my door. The kitchen was dirty and not something I wanted to use. It was otherwise fine. However, the only choice for parking is valet, and they week I was there they changed the pricing from $51 a night (pretty exorbitant for a garage they own and choosing to employ valets), to dynamic pricing where they can charge whatever they want based on demand. When I went to the front desk to point out the sign didnt indicate dynamic pricing, they told me the sign just wasnt updated yet and to take it up with the valet company if I wanted them to fix the price on my bill. I am there working; I am already busy during the day. Why is the administrative burden on me to fix their error and resolve an issue with their vendor? Pretty appalling customer service. In short, dynamic pricing is a scam, as is a hotel charging you for forced valet parking in a garage they own. Now that Im back to traveling to Austin regularly again, I will be looking for other properties at which to stay.

I recently had an exceptional stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Austin, and I cannot praise the staff enough, especially the manager, Jim. This hotel has always been my favorite in Texas, and my most recent visit reaffirmed why. From the moment we arrived, Jim went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. He personally honored my Diamond upgrade and secured the best available room with a stunning view. His attention to detail and commitment to delivering the full Diamond experience was impressive. Jims communication and dedication to guest satisfaction were evident throughout our stay. Thanks to his efforts, we felt genuinely valued and well-cared for. I highly recommend the DoubleTree in Austin to anyone visiting the area. It s a fantastic hotel with a team that truly knows how to make guests feel special. I ll definitely be returning on my future visits to Texas! ---

The room and staff were great. The only parking is valet and according to their website it is $57 a night but, it was actually $70 a night. This is too much to pay to park your vehicle and we left a day early to avoid paying another night of parking. After paying this crazy amount for parking, they still send a text requesting a tip. Ridiculous.

The staff is personable and truely focused on making your stay as enjoyable as possible, but the condition and situation of the hotel makes that impossible. The front doors are pull-to-open, which with armfuls or handfuls of bags, is hard to do. The valet wont help and theres no doorman. They need a doorman or electronic doors. The first room was fine, but the closet doors were broken, the tub spout constantly streamed water even when off, and the sink had dried toothpaste and what I hope were only black chin hairs in the sink. My daughter found an ant in her bed. Kitchen glasses were put back dirty. After unpacking, food shopping for the week and setting up my office on Saturday night, we settled in, and were only interrupted once as a staff person used a pass key to enter our room unannounced and without knocking because she thought someone called about needing something cleaned (she had a bunch of keys and a windex bottle). I did park-and-stay, but the valets had a new system, and honestly, getting it all sorted was a 2-day hassel. After several valet discussions I finally got the desk manager to get it all sorted. Not hotel specific was the noise. Sirens sirens sirens all night. And 5 AM to 5 PM is construction; banging, slamming, revving, that incessant beep-beep-beep every 15 seconds for hours as the cats back-up. As I started the day on Monday, but 5 minutes before my actual work began, the desk called and told me I needed to change rooms immediately because it was needed for renovations. After some very choice words and some argument, I got the manager to send up a luggage cart and was promised 20k pts for the inconvenience. No, I never got them. But I did get to miss my first meeting of the day, and I did get to pack-up and set-up again my office, and load a weeks worth of groceries, and all the junk a teenager leaves scattered everywhere about a suite thinking well be there a week, and lug it all not down to the 5th floor as agreed, but up to the 11th floor. Alone. In the new room there was used dental floss on the floor by the full length mirror and long black hairs in the sink. Closet doors, broken. I could not load the fridge because it was covered with and dripping water inside. I thought maybe someone left the door open, so I wiped all down and loaded groceries. After about the third time using it, the door came off in my hands, the whole door! There were bolts and hardware on the floor. As well, the door had no slats on the shelves so the door shelves were unusable. Two calls, 7 hours and a visit to the desk manager finally got the door reattached. The microwave dish that spins inside the oven was not the right dish for the microwave, so it didnt spin. I was struck by the long-in-the-tooth garage sale feeling this hotel exudes. After 5 days at the hotel, a maid finally knocked on the door (subsequent days as well), but only for light cleaning, which was coffee, waste bins, and towels. Oh dear God, theyre using whistles at the construction site now. It sounds like they gave everyone in 4th grade a whistle and let them out into the schoolyard for recess. Near the end of my stay, mid zoom call, a random service person opened and walked into my suite unannounced. I guess everyone has a key and must jump into the rooms for a bio break or something? Got my car at checkout. I was at first glad it was parked under the hotel securely. What I didnt know was that they did so under the dripping sewer drain line, so that the front of my car hood and its emblem are ruined. Its been two washes and some scraping and i cannot remove the gray water staining. In general, theres always construction folks riding the elevator, and I found the whole place to be too dimly lit. Note that I completed a survey and answered yes to being contacted about my dissatisfaction. Like my points, that did not happen either. If you still want to use a Hilton, chose the Garden Inn a block away.

Stopped for one night for business purposes. You must valet. Im used to traveling around the Dallas area and valeting. This hotel was crazy expensive for valet. The first room they gave me was blocked off by a HUGE fan. I couldnt even get inside the room as the fan was blocking the door. I went back to check-in and told them what the problem was, and the maintenace man walking by said they couldnt use that room because of the water damage. The clerk then stated he wrote the wrong room number on my folio. It was wrong by several floors. Breakfast is not included in your stay. The basic breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, toast/bagel, potatoes, cereal, milk, coffee) was $49 per person. The room was clean, but the a/c was crazy loud. Its probably not likely to be a return visit. Food and drinks: $49 breakfast buffet with few options and bad coffee. For $49, it should be spectacular, but the food was worse than McDonalds.

Everything was good except for the strange billing practice at the bar area. 2 individual bills the first time we went and when I questioned, the bar tender had some weird explanation. The second night 3 individual bills on my credit card with the same explanation worth more than $100 for a total of 6 Tito vodka type drinks.

I had the chance for a stay cation this year. I wish I had the same experience as other guests. I didnt want to write this in anger because I was just utterly disappointed in many ways. The valet was friendly. The young man at the front desk was very kind especially to my kids with FREE COOKIES!! The room I stayed in was another story. I had the view of a noisy park lot. Nothing can really be done about that. However both TVs didnt work so my kids were very frustrated. The dish washer smelled of sewage. The front desk said it happens when I went to retrieve dish soap that wasnt in the room. Also explained why the dishes were dirty. While kids were playing hide and seek we found some gross leftovers from another guest. The shower head and handle needed caulking bad. Overall for a 2 day stay was not my favorite experience. When I checked out the older gentlemen was not very nice when I asked about my points status, and if my AAA was applied. I did not even mention how bad the stay for me was. I have pictures of all the things Ive complained about. This seemed to be the best way to reach out to management. Thank you for hearing me.

Front desk staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room was extra clean and modern with a great sunset view The bar staff were on top of things. The buffet was better than most and friendly and above and beyond staff. Overall a great place to stay for a few days or weekend. Safety: Neighborhood seems to be very safe. The Doubletree has after hours outer door locks and the rooms have extra locking mechanisms. Noteworthy details: Within a block of the Texas State Capitol and other Texas government buildings. Plenty of dining and retail with in the local walking distance.

I frequently stay at this hotel due to its convenient location within walking distance of my office. Unfortunately, my recent stay was disappointing. The room assigned to me was outdated, with mold on the shower curtain and a dirty trash can in the kitchenette. Additionally, my room wasnt serviced. In past stays, I received breakfast vouchers as part of my room package, but this time I was told I was not eligible for breakfast. Typically, I travel solo and do not use the breakfast voucher, but this time my husband and 2-year-old son traveled with me, so the breakfast would have been very convenient. I spoke with Jacob Carter, the front office manager, who apologized but said he cannot hand them out. Needless to say, I will not be staying at this hotel again and will not recommend it to my colleagues who also travel to the area frequently. It seems they would rather save the $26 breakfast than secure repeat business.

I m staying at doubletree for 60 days from June. The rooms are comfy. For a long stay the stovetop option makes difference. The room keepers are fast and meet our demands. The vallet guys are so friendly and prompt to attend our needs, specially Hudson and the others two Kallebs (one with K and other C) thanks guys

Had a lovely stay at the Double Tree Hilton in Austin, the location was very centrally located and was about a 20 minute walk to all the night bars. Room was spacious and clean and the cookies from front desk are always a nice touch. The valet team was also very helpful and speedy with their service.

WARNING!!! Do not stay at this hotel!!!! My Wife and I decided to spend Father s Day weekend in Austin. We re Gold members and a part of the Friends and Family program. We frequent a different Hilton brand hotel at least once a month while traveling to several states for recreation. So far we have 19 stays with well over 30 more planned for the year. We drove over 3hours from the Dallas area for this stay. Once we arrived, we attempted to park, but we were told that the ENTIRE facility is valet parking for $51 a night. The young man directed us to the parking garage across the street and said we could use that for self-parking. When we got to the garage, we were notified that it costs $20 per day to park there. We decided to go back to the and see if the disabled parking spot was open. We are both disabled U.S. Military Veterans with injuries on our lower extremities along with other severe disabilities, so after a long drive it s painful to walk even a few feet to the building. When we returned to the hotel parking lot, the disabled parking spot was open so we parked in it. This time, a different young man from valet named John walked up and told us that we can t park there unless we pay the $51. To my understanding, the hotel is not only required to provide accessible parking, but they cannot charge a disabled person for using it. I notified the front desk clerk of the issue and he walked me to the valet counter to let them know I could park there without a fee. Then John argued the point and said the manager requires them to charge for that spot. We decided to leave and have dinner while we research the validity of their policy. When we returned, I parked in the disabled spot once again. The other attendant came over to get our keys and give us a valet pass. While the young man was writing my information on the check-in sheet, John decided to stand over him in an attempt to intimidate us. I let John know that his help was not needed, as the other gentleman had the situation under control and could write my information down on his own. Apparently John thought that was funny and laughed at me while refusing to leave us alone. John stood there like a bodyguard the entire time and then followed us to the door. I notified the Assistant Manager of his actions and went to my room to finally get some rest. Once we got in the room and prepared to go to bed, we pulled the sheets back and found blood stains on the sheets where my Wife would be sleeping. I had to call down and request new bedding. When the Assistant Manager arrived with the new set of sheets, he just dropped them off and left. We had to make the bed ourselves as if we were employed by Hilton. If we had the energy, we would just drive home tonight and not even attempt to sleep in this outdated, overpriced hotel room. I should mention that we were in this room because the first room we were placed in had a broken sink, so we had to move to a different floor. I requested a call from management, but I suspect they will try to cover this situation up without notifying him. We did not put our lives on the line for this country, only to be treated like second class citizens! We are considering taking our business to a different hotel chain after the way we were treated today. We are also actively seeking legal assistance for this matter, so if there are any lawyers reading this please feel free to reach out to us. Rooms: Old, dusty and there is no guarantee that the water will work. If it does, the pressure is very low. Safety: The self-parking garage nearby does not have 24hr security and there is only one camera at the exit. Somebody can break into your car, steal your belongings and leave without being seen or heard because the hotel is too far away from the vehicle. It is not safe at all! Walkability: You will have to drive and pay multiple times for parking or pay for an Uber because food locations are only in driving distance. Basic service way below my expectations. Restroom feels and looks old. You got to pay for tiny water, which in my opinion should be complementary. You gotta pay for parking which is about $35. We checked in around 1am ish in the morning, then in the morning i asked for extended check out at the front desk it was NO. Didnt seem the place was that occupied. Bad experience, will do my best to avoid staying here. So update, some of the front receptionist are nice, but one I had the unfortunate interaction was rude.

Awful service! We arrived with our family to be notified the pool, restaurant, bar and all ice makers were not working. We picked the hotel to spend time with our family at the outdoor pool before going to Monster Jam. When voicing annoyance, the manager Tucker said they were sorry and offered some points. I voiced the same room if booked today was $100 less and if they could match it for the inconvenience and he said no I can cancel it and you go elsewhere. A hotel like this should have better customer service.

This review is strictly for the valet, Not that anything is wrong with the hotel either, But the team is amazing! Take care of me, but they re warm and inviting to my daughter as well (she s 4). Also, the care that they consistently take with my car is a blessing. As long as I requested my vehicle before coming down, it ll be there waiting within a reasonable time.. what more could I ask for? Don, Micah, Devin, Thiago, Amy, and Azia all need raises!! They are doing their thing!!

Rooms are big in the hotel is very clean. Breakfast could be better. And the pool is old and needs to be redone. Ive stayed here for the marathon, and it is quite loud, Even ten stories up.

This isnt my first stay here. I come with my girlfriend when she goes to the campus or the capitol, but this time Don the valet surpassed the excellence I already expect when I stay at a Hilton brand hotel. When we were needing directions, he was very helpful and offered great local suggestions for dining. He also took it upon himself when there was no cart available to help my girlfriend and I get our luggage out and into the vehicle. He didnt even have to but it was very helpful and considerate. I look forward to coming back and hope ahe picks this place again. Everybodys always froendly and the rooms are always comfortable -- very spacious!

Terrible hotel! It s falling apart paid almost 300 dollars for the shower/tub to be leaking and ceiling to be moldy. Location is primal but i definitely expected a lot more. Not clean or sanitary by any means. Only good thing about this hotel is the location.

Valet was great and helpful! The hotel ultra comfortable. Has all the facilities, gym and business centre. Fulfil all our needs. The staff especially Jim Berg at reception was excellent, He is amazing and went over and above for accommodating our requests during our stay at the hotel. He is an asset to the hotel. A further staff member is Dan at the restaurant who really carries out exceptional service for breakfast. Amazing person who also goes the extra mile!

Right next to the state capitol. This Double Tree treatment was one for the book. Although they were under construction when I came in they did the most to make me feel welcomed. I was upgraded to a suite, it had two balconies, a kitchen, a king bed and a pull out couch in the living room. This felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. Since their dinning commons was under construction, they had breakfast served to our room. It made me feel like a king.

Was under major renovation April 2024, not indicated at booking, nor was any concession given (other than the cookie). Not a 4-star hotel with bad smells, popcorn ceilings, and construction work starting early Eastern time. Fortunately, it will eventually be renovated. Good location but find something else until the work is done.

Stayed for a business trip. Location is near the Capitol. The bar and restaurant was under renovation so had to order room service for breakfast. I got a huge bowl of oatmeal and toast it was good. Fast service and friendly. Front staff was helpful and courteous. The room was nice. Only concern was the toilet handle. With each flush it felt as if it was going to break. The shower was also running water from the bottom so it lacked water pressure. Valet was nice and prompt with my car. $51 is a little steep but was worth it since I didnt have to find parking and walk far. The bed was cozy and pillows were soft. I had a kitchen area, separate sleeping area. The room was a very nice size. TVs could use some updates to login to your own streaming service. In all I will stay there again when in Austin. Oh I loved the warm cookies!

For me, this is a hilton in name only. Rooms are very dark house keeping is intermittent. Bar was closed for modernisation but we were not informed before we arrived. Other guests found empty beer cans and chicken bones in their room. Not worth the money
