Jackie Wood is a highly trained, compassionate, and professional lawyer. I had the privilege of having her as my lead trial lawyer, and I could not have asked for better. I had an assult charge a few years ago, I was the victim in this case and the state knew it. They had all the evidence. Be including a dashcam recording and an audio recording of the 911 call the allerted the police to the situation where you can CLEARLY hear me screaming things like, let go of me get off of me stop hurting me help please help me somebody help me and long silent pauses between me gasping for air. No I did not walk away from this incident with bruises. This guy knew what he was doing and how to do it without evidence. I know this because it happened for three years. I got arrested because he had bite marks all over him from my attempts to escape his clutches. I lied about the marks saying they were sexual in nature because I knew he was going to lie and say they were an unprovoked assult. It took multiple resets and refused plea deals from the state. Who was trying to prosecute a victim of crime prosecuted for, with blantant disregard to undeniable evidence of not only innocence on my part but to also my need of help at that time. In the end Jackie finally got them to release the audio to her for review at which point they approved our motion to dismiss of course. Jackie never gave up and saw my case through. She had a big workload at the time too I believe because she needed a refresh of my case multiple times, but she always caught back up quick and j was not left with the impression it hindered her skills as a lawyer in any way. And the kicker, Jackie was court appointed to me. Ive paid lawyers thousands of dollars who didnt put in nearly the amount of effort that Jackie does into her work
